\t“You two should go get a room. I’m sure Elli doesn’t want to see you two making out,” Vapor stated and caused them both to jump and Elli to giggle. Vapor stepped into the pool. “Hi Mrs. Wolfe,” Todd said while he held his left arm then rubbed it.

\t“It doesn’t bother me to see them kissing mom. It’s cute. Predator and Prey coming together in the name of love,” Elli replied lifting her sunglasses up. She was laying on a lounge chair sunbathing. Vapor, Luna and Todd all looked over at her for a moment.
\t“Todd. Call me Vapor please. Mrs. Wolfe makes me sound old,” Vapor stated.
\t“But you ARE old,” Luna replied with a giggle.
\t“Watch it young lady or I’ll ground you for longer. Speaking of which, did you forget that you’re grounded,” Vapor replied as she swam around the edge of the pool.
\t“Umm. Actually, yeah I did forget. But you kind of broke it yourself allowing Todd to stay with us for the summer,” Luna replied.
\t“Don’t drag me into this,” Todd stated.
\t“You’ve dragged yourself into it already by sticking your dick into my daughter. And if that cub in her is yours, you’re in even deeper,” Vapor replied. Todd blushed at the thought of all the sex they’ve had and also about the cub possibly being his.
\t“Todd, have you called your parents or has your parent’s even called to check up on you?” Vapor asked.

\tA couple of hours later Onai knocked on Laika’s door, not hearing anything he slowly opened the door and looked inside. She wasn’t laying on her bed or in front of the coloring books and crayons on the floor. However, from the bathroom he heard water running. He crept into the bathroom and peeked in. He saw that Laika was in the shower. He walked up to the shower and stared in.

\t“You know this is glass and I can see you Onai,” Laika stated.
\t“I know. I was just about to say something, I didn’t want to scare you though. I was just returning your panties, clean and not damaged. Thank you Laika,” Onai stated and started walking away.
\t“Onai stop,” Laika said suddenly and almost authoritatively. This caught him off guard and halted him to a stop immediately. “Did I just hear mom’s voice in Laika’s?” He thought to himself.

\t“Take a shower with me please,” Laika asked.
\t“I guess I can,” Onai stated and then stripped down and entered the shower.

\tOnai got under one of the four rain showers and wet his fur. Laika sat on the floor watching. A few minutes later, Onai stood soaked to his skin. Sitting down on the built-in bench he looked down at Laika.

\t“You take a lot of showers. You okay?” Onai asked.
\t“Yeah. They help me feel a little bit better and I’m able to think about things,” Laika replied.
\t“I’m worried about you Laika. Talk to me about what’s bugging you,” Onai stated.
\t“Okay Onai,” she nodding her head. After a short moment she looked over at him. “I’m sad. I feel sad all the time. I see Tib and Katia together. You and Luna. Luna and Todd now, I guess. All of you are able to hug and do other stuff together. I have no one to do anything with. I’ve watched you all have fun in bed. I want to do that as well. It makes me feel really sad that I have no one,” Laika explained.
\t“You’ve watched us all? From the passages?” Onai asked.
\t“Yeah,” Laika replied.
\t“You really shouldn’t be watching like that or be in the passages. You know those are for emergencies only,” Onai replied.
\t“I know. I’m sorry,” Laika replied pulling her legs to her chest.
\t“Why not call your friend that you were talking about. That fox that you said you have feelings for. I’m sure mom would let him stay over,” Onai stated.
\t“I don’t know Onai. I do like him but I don’t know if I could ask him. Its like my brain just goes dead when I’m around him,” Laika replied.
\t“Never hurts to ask. Maybe he’d like to come over. You two don’t have to sleep in the same bed or bedroom, if you’re feeling nervous around him,” Onai stated while she stood up and walked over to him.
\t“It’s just not that. I like him but I’m not really sure though. He’s nice but… I don’t know Onai. I just feel different around him compared to you,” Laika explained.
\t“Well you’re in love with him, of course you’d feel different about him compared to me. You should invite him over,” Onai replied.
\t“I’ll think about it. Thank you for talking with me Onai,” Laika replied as she lathered soap on his chest.

\tAfter taking a couple of minutes to lather soap on him, she started easily scratching at his fur, cleaning him down to his skin. Afterwards she took the handheld shower head and washed the soap off of him.
\t“I don’t know why I said that stuff. You know that I get shy about it. I can’t really even look at anyone kissing. Not even mommy or daddy. I feel weird and turn around quickly,” she said.
\t“You’ll figure it out at some point. It’s not all icky and weird like you think it is,” he said.

\tThey sat there for another half an hour until he stood up and hugged her. Their bodies against each other. She looked up at him and smiled. Laika being over a foot shorter than Onai, lifted up on her paws and kissed him on his muzzle. He took a breath of air through his nose deeply after she let out of the kiss. She moved back over to the seat and sat down. Her fur, her slender body, her vulva going into her folds, her smell. His nostrils filled with her scent, his brain went crazy over the smell. \tTodd followed Vapor into the office and sat down.

You whimpered and cringed in pain when you put your arms around Luna in the pool earlier. You yelped when you tried to lift out of the pool. Is everything okay?” Vapor asked.
\t“Ye-Yeah,” Todd said as he lowered his gaze to the floor.
\t“Todd. I want you to feel safe here. You can talk to me about anything, it doesn’t matter what it is. Doesn’t matter who it’s about, especially if it’s my own cubs. I won’t let anything happen to you while you’re in my house,” Vapor stated as she sat in the chair next to Todd.
\t“It’s nothing. It’s no one here,” Todd said as tears welled in his eyes.
\t“Okay. But to be honest Todd, those tears, they aren’t nothing. If you want to talk about it with me you can, but I won’t pressure you into talking about it,” Vapor stated and wiped the tears from his eyes.
\t“Okay Vapor,” Todd replied.

\tVapor patted him on his leg and stood up to leave the room. As she opened the door Todd burst out sobbing. She closed the door and walked back over to him and sat down.

\t“They hit me. A lot. Always the same spots. My arm has hurt for almost two weeks before I came here. I’ve been taking Cubylenol to try to deal with the pain. My parents just won’t stop. They. They. I ran. Hid. I-I called Luna and begged her to let me to come over. She said she’d have to ask but I said there was no time. She told me to get my stuff and to come on over and we’d deal with it later. I packed my suitcase and tossed it out the window and jumped out as they pounded on my door. I landed on my left arm and made it hurt even more than before. I had pushed my dresser over the door to give me time. They don’t know where I’m at,” He cried.
\t“I see. I’m glad that Luna knew when it was an emergency to tell someone to come over before asking. Do you want to go to the doctor to have your arm looked at? It could be a broken bone,” Vapor asked.
\t“I don’t know. I don’t have the money for that. They never take me or my sister to the doctor,” Todd replied.
\tVapor wiped the tears from his face. “Money isn’t an issue with us Todd. I’ll pay for it. Your health and safety is more important than any amount of money,” She said.
\t“Please. I can’t handle this pain any more. It’s so much pain. It hurts bad and I’m tired of it. Tired of them beating me. They’ve been beating me for as long as I can remember. My earliest memory is around when I was four. I remember pain in my legs as they hit me with something. Me crying for them to stop,” Todd replied and burst out crying. She sat there and hugged him for a few minutes until he stopped crying. She wiped the tears away from his face and eyes.
\t“You’ll have to tell them at the hospital what’s happened. They might end up calling the police to take a statement as well, since it’s cub abuse,” Vapor stated.
\t“I’m okay with all of that. But what about my sister? They hit her sometimes too and she’s only six, Vapor. I heard her crying the night before I left. I’d have taken her if I could. I’ve been worried for her but I can’t go back. I didn’t want to say anything to get my parents mad at you,” Todd asked.
\t“I’ll have the police go check up on her. I know most of the police officers and the police chief and they’ll do what I ask,” Vapor replied.
\t“Thank you Vapor,” Todd said wiping tears from his face and lunged forward. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her ignoring the pain from his arm.
\t“Okay. Let’s head downstairs and let the others know,” Vapor said sitting Todd back down on his hindpaws then standing up.

\t“I’m taking Todd to the ER. His left arm might be broken or cracked,” Vapor stated.
\t“I want to come along,” Luna stated.
\t“It’s almost dinner time and it’s going to be a possibly long wait Luna. I don’t think you should,” Vapor stated.
\t“I’m going,” Luna stated sternly and walked up to Todd and held his paw.
\t“Okay. Willow will you be okay watching everyone?” Vapor asked.
\t“Of course. Elli and Katia already asked to help me cook dinner,” Willow replied.

\tAs they headed towards the garage Luna stopped and ran back through the house ignoring her mom’s yelling about her being pregnant. She returned a few minutes later with a backpack. She had packed a laptop, tablet, earphones, two handheld game systems and a few other things to help with boredom. With that, the three of them left.

\tSix hours later Vapor and Luna walked back into the house with Todd following behind them. They walked into the living room where Willow was sitting watching TV. Vapor, Luna and Todd sat down.
\t“How did it go?” Willow asked.
\t“It’s not a completely broken arm thankfully but it does have a hairline fracture. It’s partially healed up already. They put an arm split and wrapped it up as you can see. The bone is also severely bruised which is the main cause of the pain,” Vapor said then moved over a couple of feet. “This cute little rabbit girl is Todd’s sister, Bella. She’ll be staying with us for a while. CPS gave me temporary custody of them,” Vapor explained.
\t“I’m happy to hear that you’re doing okay Todd. Bella, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Willow. Vapor’s mother-in-law and Luna’s grandma,” Willow stated.
\t“Hello,” Bella said with a yawn and climbed on Todd’s lap with her stuffed bear in paw.
\t“Is she injured?” Willow asked.
\t“I’ll talk about it later,” Vapor replied. “In the meantime, why don’t you all head to bed? Bella you can sleep with your brother if you want to. Luna, sleep wherever you want to,” She added.
\t“I’ll go sleep with Laika. Good night everyone,” Luna said and then kissed Todd.

\tAs Luna started to walk away Todd grabbed her arm. “Sleep with us Luna, please,” Todd said.
\t“Okay Todd,” Luna replied with a smile.
\t“Laika slept with Onai tonight anyway. He was in her bed when I went to check on them,” Willow stated.
\t“HE’S WHAT?” Luna scowled.
\t“Sleeping. Together,” Willow replied staring at her intensely. Luna growled and glared up through the ceiling.
\t“Luna. I know you’ve been getting angry at your brother about being near Laika. He’s not going to do anything to her. Let them be. Laika only wants to have company at times. She talked to me while we were making dinner that she’s been lonely since summer started. Anyway, if they do anything together and we find out, your mom will deal with it. Understood?” Willow stated.
\t“Okay fine. I’ll leave them alone,” Luna huffed and crossed her arms. Todd tugged at her arm to get her moving. The three of them headed upstairs with Bella following behind Todd.

\t“So, what about Todd and Bella?” Willow asked.
\t“The hospital called the police after Todd told them what he was going through. The police came out and Todd told them everything. Todd was beaten for protecting his sister from their parents the day that he came over. He jumped in between them and Bella and took all the abuse. They were apparently using a thick leather belt. He still has some bruising from it on his back, arms and chest. He was protecting her. The doctors and Todd think that the initial hairline fracture is from a baseball bat. It had started to heal until he jumped from the window and caused it to crack again. So the police called CPS immediately who both headed over to his parents house. They found Bella locked in her bedroom. They not only had deadbolts on the cubs bedroom doors by also five padlocks. They arrested the parents and brought Bella in to be checked. I spoke with the CPS agent and gave our name and she recognized you from the orphanage. So she asked if I would be willing to take them in while they work on the case. I told her that Todd’s been with us for the past week or so and that they’re both welcome to stay and it wasn’t an issue. I made Luna tell them about her pregnancy and how it could be Todd’s. After the hospital released them I followed a cop back to their house to get them some of the things they wanted, toys, school stuff, books, etc. The house was disgusting. Trash all over. The floor covered in who-knows-what shit, the bathroom was even worse. Just… ugh,” Vapor explained.

\t“Jeez. First Shade now Todd and Bella. How can parents do that to their cubs?” Willow asked.
\t“I don’t know Willow. It’s just sad. At least they’re safe now. But I don’t think Bella really knows what’s going on. She’s only six,” Vapor stated.
\t“We’ll talk to her in the morning. She looked really exhausted. I bet you she’ll be out in less than five minutes,” Willow replied.
\t“Yeah, she fell asleep on the way back home,” she replied.
\t“You should go get some sleep too Vapor. It’s been a long day. I assume you’ve all eaten?”
\t“Yeah we have. You could have asked before we sent the kids to bed though. But yeah I’m tired. Good night Willow,” Vapor said kissed her cheek then headed upstairs.

\t“Onai. You awake?” Laika asked quietly.
\t“Yeah,” He replied sleepily.
\t“Thank you for today,” Laika replied and kissed his muzzle. Her head rested on his shoulder and her paw on his chest, her muzzle underneath his.
\t“Mmhmmm,” Onai moaned trailing off to silence. Laika smiled and kissed his muzzle once more before closing her eyes.

*** Sometime earlier that day in Furmerica, night in N. Korea ***

\t“Target in sight,” A voice cracked on a radio.
\t“Engage when possible,” Another voice cracked.
\t“Hold. I see two other high rank officers. They just entered the same room,” The voice cracked on the radio.
\t“Can you engage them all?” The other voice cracked.
\t“Negative. I’ll engage primary if he attempts to leave. I’ll engage all three if I can get a line on all,” The voice cracked.
\t“Do not mess this up. Mission is for the primary target only. The wolf. It’s been our only chance in more than a year,” The other voice cracked.
\t“Yes sir. Going silent,” The voice cracked.
\t“How’s your arm?” A spotter asked.
\t“Hurt’s like fuck. But I wanna be the one to take this bastard down and get awarded for that and get the furthest single shot kill record,” The sniper said.
\t“Good luck. Don’t fuck up this shot or you’ll probably be killed yourself,” The spotter stated looking through the spotting scope.

\tAfter another ten minutes of laying in wait and watching the enemy movements, the sniper pulled back the slide and loaded in a special round then cocked the 50-caliber rifle. The special round was created for extreme long distance shots. Years of research and development and tens of millions of dollars went into this round, to give it a perfect fly line, the least amount of drag and to be less effected by gravity. Needless to say the military doesn’t want these wasted for fun, being they cost $200,000 per round. The sniper has a box of 25 sitting next to him with 5 missing. One is currently in the chamber and the other four splattered the brains or chest cavities of other enemies.

\t“Come on you fucks, you’re almost in line… Just a bit more… BINGO!” The sniper stated as the tall wolf walked in front of the other two and stopped.

\tAfter taking a deep breath and holding, he pulled the trigger. They watched as the bullet took thirty seconds to close the distance. They watched as the single round shattered the window, hit the back of the head of the wolf, through the neck of the second and through the chest and out the back of the third and then the wall behind them exploded leaving a large hole over eighteen inches wide. The round continued through three more walls until it lost all velocity because it wedged itself into the concrete floor.

\tBoth let out a deep breath of relief. The spotter saved the video from the scope then packed it up along with other tools and devices while the sniper tore down his weapon. In less than one minute they disappeared into the thicket heading for the extraction point. As they rushed through the trees and brush the sniper left radio silence.

\t“All three targets eliminated. Single 5.6km shot. Heading to LZ Bravo-Zeta. ETA, half hour,”
\t“Good job. How are your injuries?” A voice cracked.
\t“Damn recoil. Shoulder hurts like fucking hell even more, if you don’t mind me saying,” The sniper stated.
\t“Spotter?” The voice asked.
\t“Nothing I can’t handle sir,” The spotter replied.
\t“Roger. Evac in route. Will meet you at LZ Bravo-Zeta in twenty-eight minutes. Don’t be late, they won’t stick around for long. It’s a long trek back to base if you miss that ride,” The voice cracked.
\t“Roger,” The sniper replied.
\t“You know, I could really go for a cigar after we get back,” The sniper said to his spotter.
\t“Same here. I’ll buy us both one.
