Todd is a fellow classmate around the same age as Luna and of course Onai. School had started almost a month back and the students were already back into the flow of school, extra curricular activities and other various school functions.\n\t“Hi, umm, L-Luna.” Todd said. “What do you want?” Todd asked.\n\t“Where are you going?” Luna asked as they walked down a hallway.\n\t“Nowhere in particular.” He replied then stopped walking and looked over at the wolf girl. “Class is about to start. What do you want?” \n\t“Eh, tired of school today. Thought about skipping for the rest of today.” Luna replied.\n\t“Didn't know you had it in you Luna. But what makes you think I do the same?” Todd replied and started walking again.\n\t“I don’t know. So where we going to go to skip?” Luna asked.\n\n\tTodd stopped and turned to her. “Why do you want to skip? You’re a near perfect student almost straight A’s. Why? Why skip with me?” Todd asked confused.\n\t“Just don’t feel like it today and I know you enough that you won’t go rat me out to a teacher.” Luna replied.\n\t“Well, I’m just hanging out in the basement. You can come if you want but if we’re spotted you’re on your on. If you get caught don’t even mention my name.” Todd warned.\n\t“I won’t. I’m not a snitch.” She smiled.\n\n\tTodd stopped a the corner then slowly and carefully peeked around it. The bell had rung a bit over a minute ago, they were both officially late for their class. After seeing the coast was clear he grabbed Luna’s paw and rushed down the hall and up to a nondescript wood door. Only a small plastic plate was near the door, “Basement” was stamped on it. He fumbled with a small key ring and pushed a key into the keyhole. Within seconds the two of them were inside the dimly lit hall with a stairway in front of them. He started walking while Luna kept close to him. He could feel her breath on the back of his head and going down his neck. Between her hot breath and the humidity of the basement, sweat started to bead up on his fur. After making it down the stairway they were surrounded by old furniture and machinery that whirred loudly. He continued down a path and up to another door. He opened it and motioned for Luna to walk in first. She stepped into the room followed by Todd who flipped a light switch on and then walked past Luna. He sat down in an old chair and rested his paws on a table. Luna looked around while she made her way to the table. It wasn’t a large room, but it wasn’t small. Maybe 20 by 20 feet. It was a secondary kitchen used for when sports games were hosted at home and conventions.\n\t“Want a drink?” Todd asked. Luna looking around nodded, “yes please,” she replied. He got up and opened the fridge and pulled out two cokes. He came back to the table and handed her one. “They’re not old. They store extra drinks in the basement, there’s a large walk in fridge or something. I grabbed a case and put it in here.” Todd explained while opening his bottle. Luna turned around and faced Todd and opened the bottle. After taking a drink she sat it down.\n\n\t“So what do you do down here?” She asked.\n\t“Play my game system, drink coke, smoke and just hang out.” He explained.\n\t“You smoke?” Luna asked.\n\t“Yeah.” He replied.\n\t“I’ve never smelt it on you before and I sit behind you in math right after my history class with Ms. Baker.” She said.\n\t“Yeah, it’s cause I keep body spray on me and use it every other class period. I do that so I don’t draw attention coming in smelling heavy of body spray.” He explained.\n\t“Smart.” Luna smiled.\n\t“I’m not smart, I just use my brain.” He replied.\n\t“But using your brain makes you smart, silly. Plus I’ve seen your grades, they’re just as high as mine.” She replied.\n\t“Yeah maybe I guess.” He replied leaning back in the chair.\n\n\tTodd reached out for his drink only to lose balance on the chair and fell backwards to the concrete floor with a thud. Luna jumped up and ran over to him. “Todd you okay?” She asked leaning over him, her arms on either side of him. He sat up and nodded. His face just a few inches from hers. “Yeah I…” Todd said but stopped. He looked at her for a few seconds before turning his head away. “I think so.” He finished. He scooted back, stood up and knocked the dust off his clothes. “Chairs are old. I should have known not to lean back in them.” He said. He kicked the broken chair out of the way and pulled another chair off the stack and sat down again. They hung out in the basement talking until the bell rung for the next class.\n\n\t“I had fun Todd. Let’s skip class again sometime.” Luna said with a smile while they walked out of the school after their final class.\n\t“Shh. Keep your voice down. You want to get us in trouble?” He replied.\n\t“Sorry,” she replied quieter then looked out at the drive. “Eh, there’s my aunt and uncle. I have to go Todd. See you tomorrow.” She said.\n\t“Later Luna.” He replied.\n\n***\nFriday September 24, 2027\n\n\t“You here Todd?” Luna asked walking into the room. She looked around but didn’t see him. Being a bit early she sat down and waited. A few minutes later he walked in and sat down. “Hi Luna.” He said and stretched his arms out over his head.\n\n\t“Hey Todd.” Luna said waving and smiling. “You’re late.”\n\t“Had to hide. A teacher almost caught me.” He replied.\n\t“Ah okay.” She replied.\n\t“What you got there?” He asked looking at the fairly large cardboard box on the table.\n\t“Ah a tabletop RPG game. Demons and Catacombs.” She replied.\n\t“Oh. Never played it.” He replied.\n\t“Really? It’s like one of the best tabletop games ever. Tens of millions of players world wide.” She replied.\n\t“Doesn’t seem like something I’d like.” He replied.\n\t“Want to give it a shot? I’ll teach you. It’s not too hard to learn. It’s just a lot of stuff to remember though, but with the guide books it’s not too bad.” She replied.\n\t“Eh, sure why not.” He replied lighting a cigarette up.\n\n\tLuna setup the game and started explaining the in’s and out’s of the game. Some of the lore of the world and characters. The multi-millennial battle against the demons. Before long Todd was getting into all the lore and background. He was hooked on it already and the game hadn’t even started yet. He sat on the chair with his legs tucked under his butt and listened as Luna continued explaining how the game is played and that it’s fairly unusual to have just a single player and a GM, a Game Master, but they could make it work. She also explained that her brother would never play the game so she would always play with herself and come up with new adventures, quests and scenarios. She helped him make out a character sheet, choose his characters race, abilities, spells, weapons and over details. After that, the game was on.\n\n\t“You walk into the room and are now face to face with an imp. All you have are the two rocks that you picked up outside. What do you do?” She asked.\n\t“I roll the dice to attack by throwing the smaller rock.” He replied rolling the dice. They watched as the 2d10 landed on a 4 and 6.\n\t“Your attack misses the imp by more than five feet to it’s right.” She explained and rolled the dice for 15. “The Imp shoots a fireball at you, setting your clothing on fire.” She explained.\n\t“I run and jump into the liquid, hoping it’s actually water.” He said rolling the dice. They landed on 15 total.\n\t“It’s water and it puts the fire out, but you have no clothing left. You have zero armor.” She replied with a smirk.\n\t“I attack again with the large rock.” He replied rolling the dice again. They bounced around the playing area and landed on 19 total.\n\t“You run and throw your arm towards him and strike him directly in the head cracking his skull wide open. His brains explode covering you as he falls to the floor shrieking in pain for a few seconds until it dies. Blood oozes out of the wound and drips into the water that you just used. You’re now level two.” She replied.\n\t“Hell yeah!” He replied happily. “I look around for any chests or loot and a new weapon.” He added.\n\t“There are no chests in this room. The Imp has teeth and wings.” She explained and hinted.\n\t“I bash the skull with the rock to remove the teeth out and rip the wings off and shove them in my bag. I head into the next room through the door.” He said.\n\t“The room is mostly empty. The corners filled with thick cobwebs.” She said. “In the center is a pedestal with a dagger.” She added after flipping through her notebook.\n\t“I think it’s a trap. I leave it alone for now.” He replied. “I walk around the room and see a few rocks of varying sizes. I pick them up and carry them back to the pedestal.” He added leaning back in his chair thinking. After a few moments he leaned back up. “I exchange the dagger for the medium weight rock.” He said rolling a 20.\n\t“A heavy rock behind the cobwebs collapses, squishing a hidden spider. It’s green blood oozes out from the cracks.” She replied.\n\n\t~Ding. Ding. Ding.~ The school bell rung. “Aww. I was really getting into this.” Todd said sighing. Luna smiled at him. “Told you that you’d like it.” She smiled and wrote information down for both of them. They quickly cleaned up and headed to their final class of the day.\n\n***\n\nMonday September 27, 2027\n\n\t“You ready for more of the game?” Luna asked as they walked in to the room the following week.\n\t“Yeah!” He exclaimed excitedly, “I’ve been waiting to play all weekend.” He added with a smile.\n\n\tShe quickly setup the game and they continued where they left off.\n\t“I hold the dagger and wonder if it’s a normal dagger or magical.” He said and rolled a 9.\n\t“Luck is on your side it seems… for now. The dagger is a +2 fire damage dagger. However it’s -1 health damage per use for whoever wields it.” She replied.\n\t“Well it’s better than nothing, I say while walking back through the previous room and into the main hallway.” He said lighting up a cigarette. “I push open the gate into the next room.” He added.\n\t“There’s a giant spider staring you down from a corner. It’s fangs dripping venom.” She explained.\n\t“I stop moving and stare at it. Waiting to see if it does anything.” He replied rolling the dice and landing 15.\n\t“It stays where it is, but watches your every movement. You appear to be safe in the room … for now.” She explained.\n\t“I walk around the room staying away from the spider.\" He said.\n\t\"After a few moments you hear a squeak and see a large rat coming directly at you.\" Luna stated.\n\t\"I hit the rat with the dagger.” He said rolling the dice.\n\t“You knock out the rat. The spider notices the rat and moves a few feet across the wall.” She said.\n\t“I pick up the rat and toss it to the spider. It lands in it’s web.” He said and rolls a 14.\n\t“The spider sinks it’s fangs into the rat. After it devours it, it looks back at you. It moves cautiously up to you. It nudges you with its forelegs but does not attack.” She explained.\n\t“I pat the spider’s head but shiver. I leave the room afterwards.” He said.\n\t“The spider follows you out into the hallway.” She said rolling the dice. “It appears to want to join you.”\n\t“I shrug and continue down the hallway.” He said. They continue playing for thirty minutes. Todd makes his way in and out of various rooms fighting various low level enemies with the spider along side him.\n\t“You walk down the hallway and it opens up to a large cavern. In front of you is a narrow path, from a fallen rock column. It makes a downwards angled bridge over a chasm that is filled with a bubbling, boiling fluid. The fluid is light green color that glows. On the left side of the cave is a narrow path that leads up to a ledge that you can’t see anything on ledge, but it appears to go further back. There’s nothing to your immediate right.” She explained.\n\t“I look at my spider companion hoping he, she, it would choose for me. But after a few moments of awkward staring, it does nothing. I choose the rock column bridge. I start walking across it carefully.” He explained and rolled an 8.\n\t“You loose your balance and fall down towards the acid. But luck is on your side once again. The spider shoots it web and saves you by sticking you to the other side of the chasm.” She said.\n\t“My companion crawls down the chasm and does it spider thing and gets me off the wall and heads back up the wall with me hanging from its forelegs.” He said rolling high.\n\t“It sits you down and you break out of the web cocoon. You feel tired.” She said.\n\t“I look around for some wood to start a fire. I only see small bushes. I break them up and start a small fire.” He said rolling a mid-number.\n\t“The spider is scared of the fire and skitters off to a distance. It makes a web and goes to sleep.” She explained.\n\t“I take out the little bit of bread that I have and eat before going to bed.” He explained. Luna rolls the dice and smiles evilly.\n\t“You wake up the next morning to see your spider companion hovering over you. It looks hungry. It’s fangs dripping venom. You can smell the heavy scent of the acid in the chasm and the venom of the spider. You’re down one health point out of 28.”\n\t“I crawl backwards speaking softly to it. We’ll get you food soon, I say.” He said rolling a mid number.\n\t“It appears to understand you and remembers the adventures from the previous day. It takes you in it’s forearms and starts to scale the wall upwards.” She explained.\n\t“My weapon and stuff. I need them. I say struggling.” He said rolling low.\n\t“It ignores you and continues the ascent. At the top it takes you into a tunnel and follows it down to a room. It drops you in front of a nest of giant rats.” She explained.\n\t“I freeze and look around with only my eyes moving. I see a piece of armor. I …” He said but was interrupted by Luna.\n\t“The four rats leap and attack you. One by one. They hit you with their heads and teeth.” She said rolling high. “Their teeth cut into your arms.” She said.\n\t“I jump up and run to the armor piece. I swing it at the first rat.” He said rolling high.\n\t“The chest piece hits the rat, sending it flying into a wall where it dies. Your spider companion makes quick work of it. The other three rats continue their attack on you.” She said.\n\t“I swing again at the next rat.” He said rolling low.\n\t“You miss and the rats incisors tear your right arm open. You’re now bleeding..” She said rolling high.\n\t“I yell in pain but swing again at the next rat.” He said rolling a mid.\n\t“It makes contact sending it towards the spider, just as another rat jumps for its attack.” She said.\n\t“I do the same with the next rat.” He said rolling another mid.\n\t“It also flies, but hits the spider in the head. \t“Hi Todd.” Luna said quietly after she caught up with the young rabbit. Todd is a fellow classmate around the same age as Luna and of course Onai. School had started almost a month back and the students were already back into the flow of school, extra curricular activities and other various school functions.
\t“Hi, umm, L-Luna.” Todd said. “What do you want?” Todd asked.
\t“Where are you going?” Luna asked as they walked down a hallway.
\t“Nowhere in particular.” He replied then stopped walking and looked over at the wolf girl. “Class is about to start. What do you want?”
\t“Eh, tired of school today. Thought about skipping for the rest of today.” Luna replied.
\t“Didn't know you had it in you Luna. But what makes you think I do the same?” Todd replied and started walking again.
\t“I don’t know. So where we going to go to skip?” Luna asked.

\tTodd stopped and turned to her. “Why do you want to skip? You’re a near perfect student almost straight A’s. Why? Why skip with me?” Todd asked confused.
\t“Just don’t feel like it today and I know you enough that you won’t go rat me out to a teacher.” Luna replied.
\t“Well, I’m just hanging out in the basement. You can come if you want but if we’re spotted you’re on your on. If you get caught don’t even mention my name.” Todd warned.
\t“I won’t. I’m not a snitch.” She smiled.

\tTodd stopped a the corner then slowly and carefully peeked around it. The bell had rung a bit over a minute ago, they were both officially late for their class. After seeing the coast was clear he grabbed Luna’s paw and rushed down the hall and up to a nondescript wood door. Only a small plastic plate was near the door, “Basement” was stamped on it. He fumbled with a small key ring and pushed a key into the keyhole. Within seconds the two of them were inside the dimly lit hall with a stairway in front of them. He started walking while Luna kept close to him. He could feel her breath on the back of his head and going down his neck. Between her hot breath and the humidity of the basement, sweat started to bead up on his fur. After making it down the stairway they were surrounded by old furniture and machinery that whirred loudly. He continued down a path and up to another door. He opened it and motioned for Luna to walk in first. She stepped into the room followed by Todd who flipped a light switch on and then walked past Luna. He sat down in an old chair and rested his paws on a table. Luna looked around while she made her way to the table. It wasn’t a large room, but it wasn’t small. Maybe 20 by 20 feet. It was a secondary kitchen used for when sports games were hosted at home and conventions.
\t“Want a drink?” Todd asked. Luna looking around nodded, “yes please,” she replied. He got up and opened the fridge and pulled out two cokes. He came back to the table and handed her one. “They’re not old. They store extra drinks in the basement, there’s a large walk in fridge or something. I grabbed a case and put it in here.” Todd explained while opening his bottle. Luna turned around and faced Todd and opened the bottle. After taking a drink she sat it down.

\t“So what do you do down here?” She asked.
\t“Play my game system, drink coke, smoke and just hang out.” He explained.
\t“You smoke?” Luna asked.
\t“Yeah.” He replied.
\t“I’ve never smelt it on you before and I sit behind you in math right after my history class with Ms. Baker.” She said.
\t“Yeah, it’s cause I keep body spray on me and use it every other class period. I do that so I don’t draw attention coming in smelling heavy of body spray.” He explained.
\t“Smart.” Luna smiled.
\t“I’m not smart, I just use my brain.” He replied.
\t“But using your brain makes you smart, silly. Plus I’ve seen your grades, they’re just as high as mine.” She replied.
\t“Yeah maybe I guess.” He replied leaning back in the chair.

\tTodd reached out for his drink only to lose balance on the chair and fell backwards to the concrete floor with a thud. Luna jumped up and ran over to him. “Todd you okay?” She asked leaning over him, her arms on either side of him. He sat up and nodded. His face just a few inches from hers. “Yeah I…” Todd said but stopped. He looked at her for a few seconds before turning his head away. “I think so.” He finished. He scooted back, stood up and knocked the dust off his clothes. “Chairs are old. I should have known not to lean back in them.” He said. He kicked the broken chair out of the way and pulled another chair off the stack and sat down again. They hung out in the basement talking until the bell rung for the next class.

\t“I had fun Todd. Let’s skip class again sometime.” Luna said with a smile while they walked out of the school after their final class.
\t“Shh. Keep your voice down. You want to get us in trouble?” He replied.
\t“Sorry,” she replied quieter then looked out at the drive. “Eh, there’s my aunt and uncle. I have to go Todd. See you tomorrow.” She said.
\t“Later Luna.” He replied.

\t“You here Todd?” Luna asked walking into the room. She looked around but didn’t see him. Being a bit early she sat down and waited. A few minutes later he walked in and sat down. “Hi Luna.” He said and stretched his arms out over his head.

\t“Hey Todd.” Luna said waving and smiling. “You’re late.”
\t“Had to hide. A teacher almost caught me.” He replied.
\t“Ah okay.” She replied.
\t“What you got there?” He asked looking at the fairly large cardboard box on the table.
\t“Ah a tabletop RPG game. Demons and Catacombs.” She replied.
\t“Oh. Never played it.” He replied.
\t“Really? It’s like one of the best tabletop games ever. Tens of millions of players world wide.” She replied.
\t“Doesn’t seem like something I’d like.” He replied.
\t“Want to give it a shot? I’ll teach you. It’s not too hard to learn. It’s just a lot of stuff to remember though, but with the guide books it’s not too bad.” She replied.
\t“Eh, sure why not.” He replied lighting a cigarette up.

\tLuna setup the game and started explaining the in’s and out’s of the game. Some of the lore of the world and characters. The multi-millennial battle against the demons. Before long Todd was getting into all the lore and background. He was hooked on it already and the game hadn’t even started yet. He sat on the chair with his legs tucked under his butt and listened as Luna continued explaining how the game is played and that it’s fairly unusual to have just a single player and a GM, a Game Master, but they could make it work. She also explained that her brother would never play the game so she would always play with herself and come up with new adventures, quests and scenarios. She helped him make out a character sheet, choose his characters race, abilities, spells, weapons and over details. After that, the game was on.

\t“You walk into the room and are now face to face with an imp. All you have are the two rocks that you picked up outside. What do you do?” She asked.
\t“I roll the dice to attack by throwing the smaller rock.” He replied rolling the dice. They watched as the 2d10 landed on a 4 and 6.
\t“Your attack misses the imp by more than five feet to it’s right.” She explained and rolled the dice for 15. “The Imp shoots a fireball at you, setting your clothing on fire.” She explained.
\t“I run and jump into the liquid, hoping it’s actually water.” He said rolling the dice. They landed on 15 total.
\t“It’s water and it puts the fire out, but you have no clothing left. You have zero armor.” She replied with a smirk.
\t“I attack again with the large rock.” He replied rolling the dice again. They bounced around the playing area and landed on 19 total.
\t“You run and throw your arm towards him and strike him directly in the head cracking his skull wide open. His brains explode covering you as he falls to the floor shrieking in pain for a few seconds until it dies. Blood oozes out of the wound and drips into the water that you just used. You’re now level two.” She replied.
\t“Hell yeah!” He replied happily. “I look around for any chests or loot and a new weapon.” He added.
\t“There are no chests in this room. The Imp has teeth and wings.” She explained and hinted.
\t“I bash the skull with the rock to remove the teeth out and rip the wings off and shove them in my bag. I head into the next room through the door.” He said.
\t“The room is mostly empty. The corners filled with thick cobwebs.” She said. “In the center is a pedestal with a dagger.” She added after flipping through her notebook.
\t“I think it’s a trap. I leave it alone for now.” He replied. “I walk around the room and see a few rocks of varying sizes. I pick them up and carry them back to the pedestal.” He added leaning back in his chair thinking. After a few moments he leaned back up. “I exchange the dagger for the medium weight rock.” He said rolling a 20.
\t“A heavy rock behind the cobwebs collapses, squishing a hidden spider. It’s green blood oozes out from the cracks.” She replied.

\t~Ding. Ding. Ding.~ The school bell rung. “Aww. I was really getting into this.” Todd said sighing. Luna smiled at him. “Told you that you’d like it.” She smiled and wrote information down for both of them. They quickly cleaned up and headed to their final class of the day.

\t“You ready for more of the game?” Luna asked as they walked in to the room the following week.
\t“Yeah!” He exclaimed excitedly, “I’ve been waiting to play all weekend.” He added with a smile.

\tShe quickly setup the game and they continued where they left off.
\t“I hold the dagger and wonder if it’s a normal dagger or magical.” He said and rolled a 9.
\t“Luck is on your side it seems… for now. The dagger is a +2 fire damage dagger. However it’s -1 health damage per use for whoever wields it.” She replied.
\t“Well it’s better than nothing, I say while walking back through the previous room and into the main hallway.” He said lighting up a cigarette. “I push open the gate into the next room.” He added.
\t“There’s a giant spider staring you down from a corner. It’s fangs dripping venom.” She explained.
\t“I stop moving and stare at it. Waiting to see if it does anything.” He replied rolling the dice and landing 15.
\t“It stays where it is, but watches your every movement. You appear to be safe in the room … for now.” She explained.
\t“I walk around the room staying away from the spider." He said.
\t"After a few moments you hear a squeak and see a large rat coming directly at you." Luna stated.
\t"I hit the rat with the dagger.” He said rolling the dice.
\t“You knock out the rat. The spider notices the rat and moves a few feet across the wall.” She said.
\t“I pick up the rat and toss it to the spider. It lands in it’s web.” He said and rolls a 14.
\t“The spider sinks it’s fangs into the rat. After it devours it, it looks back at you. It moves cautiously up to you. It nudges you with its forelegs but does not attack.” She explained.
\t“I pat the spider’s head but shiver. I leave the room afterwards.” He said.
\t“The spider follows you out into the hallway.” She said rolling the dice. “It appears to want to join you.”
\t“I shrug and continue down the hallway.” He said. They continue playing for thirty minutes. Todd makes his way in and out of various rooms fighting various low level enemies with the spider along side him.
\t“You walk down the hallway and it opens up to a large cavern. In front of you is a narrow path, from a fallen rock column. It makes a downwards angled bridge over a chasm that is filled with a bubbling, boiling fluid. The fluid is light green color that glows. On the left side of the cave is a narrow path that leads up to a ledge that you can’t see anything on ledge, but it appears to go further back. There’s nothing to your immediate right.” She explained.
\t“I look at my spider companion hoping he, she, it would choose for me. But after a few moments of awkward staring, it does nothing. I choose the rock column bridge. I start walking across it carefully.” He explained and rolled an 8.
\t“You loose your balance and fall down towards the acid. But luck is on your side once again. The spider shoots it web and saves you by sticking you to the other side of the chasm.” She said.
\t“My companion crawls down the chasm and does it spider thing and gets me off the wall and heads back up the wall with me hanging from its forelegs.” He said rolling high.
\t“It sits you down and you break out of the web cocoon. You feel tired.” She said.
\t“I look around for some wood to start a fire. I only see small bushes. I break them up and start a small fire.” He said rolling a mid-number.
\t“The spider is scared of the fire and skitters off to a distance. It makes a web and goes to sleep.” She explained.
\t“I take out the little bit of bread that I have and eat before going to bed.” He explained. Luna rolls the dice and smiles evilly.
\t“You wake up the next morning to see your spider companion hovering over you. It looks hungry. It’s fangs dripping venom. You can smell the heavy scent of the acid in the chasm and the venom of the spider. You’re down one health point out of 28.”
\t“I crawl backwards speaking softly to it. We’ll get you food soon, I say.” He said rolling a mid number.
\t“It appears to understand you and remembers the adventures from the previous day. It takes you in it’s forearms and starts to scale the wall upwards.” She explained.
\t“My weapon and stuff. I need them. I say struggling.” He said rolling low.
\t“It ignores you and continues the ascent. At the top it takes you into a tunnel and follows it down to a room. It drops you in front of a nest of giant rats.” She explained.
\t“I freeze and look around with only my eyes moving. I see a piece of armor. I …” He said but was interrupted by Luna.
\t“The four rats leap and attack you. One by one. They hit you with their heads and teeth.” She said rolling high. “Their teeth cut into your arms.” She said.
\t“I jump up and run to the armor piece. I swing it at the first rat.” He said rolling high.
\t“The chest piece hits the rat, sending it flying into a wall where it dies. Your spider companion makes quick work of it. The other three rats continue their attack on you.” She said.
\t“I swing again at the next rat.” He said rolling low.
\t“You miss and the rats incisors tear your right arm open. You’re now bleeding..” She said rolling high.
\t“I yell in pain but swing again at the next rat.” He said rolling a mid.
\t“It makes contact sending it towards the spider, just as another rat jumps for its attack.” She said.
\t“I do the same with the next rat.” He said rolling another mid.
\t“It also flies, but hits the spider in the head. The final rat is staring at you on the ground.” She explained.
\t“I raise the chest piece over my head and slam it down onto the rat, crushing it’s head.” He said then rolled high.
\t“You crush it instantly but the light iron chest armor breaks in multiple pieces. It’s no longer useful. You’re level four now. You sense it’s going to be harder from here on. A thought comes to your mind that you should find armor and a weapon.” She explained.
\t“Well this armor won’t do. I say while looking at it on the ground. I notice one piece is sharp, like a dagger. I take it with me. I leave the room and tell Cazael to follow.” He explained.
\t“Who is Cazael?” Luna asked breaking the game wall.
\t“The spider.” Todd replied.
\t“Ah okay.” Luna replied smiling.
\t“Further down the hall you step on a stone trap which arms the trap. You hear a rumbling and the ground starts shaking. The roof of the tunnel starts dropping bits of dirt and rock. What do you do?” She asked.
\t“I make a run for the next room.” He said rolling a 12.
\t“You barely make it into the room, diving out of the way just as the ceiling collapses behind you. One of Cazael’s rear legs is caught under a rock. He pulls hard and gets his leg free, but it’s crushed. Your wounds are still bleeding. And your at ten health out of 28,” She explained.
\t“He’ll be fine. He has seven more legs. Since he’s a spider it’ll grow back after a few weeks. I stand up and dust my still nude body off.” He replied.
\t“There’s some old cloth laying on a stone table and three long sticks.” Luna mentions.
\t“I take the cloth and make it into strips and dress my wounds. I take one of the sticks and split the end with the armor piece and then mount the sharp armor piece between the split. I wrap it up with another piece of cloth making a spear.” He explained and rolled a mid number.
\t“You succeed at the wound dressing and the spear. But you’re still trapped in the room.” She explained.

\t~Ding. Ding. Ding.~ The school bell rung. Both of them let out sighs of disappointment. They write their information down and head to their next class.

Tuesday September 28, 2027

\t“I am so ready to play again. Let’s get started.” Todd cheered.
\t“Not so fast Todd.” Luna said with a sigh.
\t“Whats wrong?” He asked.
\t“I don’t have the game. I forgot to grab it this morning.” She replied looking down at the floor.
\t“Aww. Okay. I guess we can talk about it and you teach me more about the lore and all that.” He replied.
\t“Just kidding. I have it.” She replied laughing.
\t“Not cool Luna. Not cool.” He replied shaking his head.
\t“Ha ha. Sorry I couldn’t help it.” She replied pulling out the box. They quickly set it back up and continued their journey.

\t“I light up a torch and look around the room for a way out. For anything extra.” He said. “After a few minutes I find nothing and pick up a stone and throw it at the collapsed hallway.” He said and tossed the dice in frustration.
\t“In your frustration and throwing the stone at the rocks does nothing to help you.” She replied with a giggle.
\t“I sit down in a corner of the room and try to think of something. Cazael sits down beside me and I pet him on his head. Some help would be nice Nodia. I kneel down and pray to the Goddess of Good Luck.” He said and rolled a mid.
\t“Nodia thanks you for the prayer but is unable to help you at this time.” A mysterious voice spoke that softly echos in the room.” Luna said.
\t“What the fuck?” He replied.
\t“Apparently you’ve never gave Nodia an offering before, so the prayer cannot be answered, even if you rolled a 20.” Luna explained.
\t“Well this stinks. I continue looking around for a way out, I suppose.” He say then rolled two.
\t“You and Cazael sit in that room for days starving. Cazael finally gave in to his hunger and sunk his fangs into your body and consumes you over the next week. He too finally dies of starvation.”
\t“Wow. That was… short.”
\t“Haha, yeah it was. Purely bad luck. Not all games are like that, usually they can last for days, weeks or even months.” Luna explained.
\t“Ah I see. It was fun while it lasted.” He replied.
\t“Yeah it was. You want to go again? Could go differently.” She said while pulling out new sheets of paper.
\t“Ah, sure why not. We still have like 45 minutes.” Todd replied then lit up a cigarette then groaned at the 2 on the dice.

\tAs the dice hit the table and rolled to a stop the bell rung. Both groaned and sighed.
\t“Stupid bell,” Todd scowled loudly.
\t“Yeah, wish we didn’t have to go to school,”
\t“I honestly rather be here than at home,”
\t“What do you mean?”
\t“Oh, nothing,” Todd replied handing some game items to Luna.
\t“Oh okay,” she replied while looking at him unsure about what he meant.

\t“Luna would you come here please.” Vapor said from the office as everyone entered the house from school. She dropped her bag at the door to the office and then walked in. Vapor was sitting on the desk watching Luna walk in and then sat down.

\t“I had interesting phone call today.” Vapor said.
\t“Oh? Was it dad?” Luna asked perking up.
\t“No. Sadly it wasn’t. You want to take another guess?” Vapor replied.
\t“Oh, okay. I don’t know.” Luna replied.
\t“Your school called. Again. Why are you skipping one of your classes?” Vapor said. “You’re still doing your work for that class, I don’t see how you’re turning it in if you’re skipping.” Vapor replied.
\t“I-I’m not skipping.” Luna replied.
\t“Don’t lie Luna.” Vapor said crossing her arms. “Teachers don’t mark students as absent if they’re present.” Vapor said and walked to the other side of the desk.
\t“I don’t know.” Luna replied. Vapor bent down and picked up a wooden paddle and held it in her paw. She walked over and sat in a chair that sat directly in front of Luna. Luna watched as her mom walked around and sat down. Her body tensing up gave away that she was scared.
\t“I just don’t like the class. I find it boring and never pay attention anyway. Please don’t use that on me. I know everything that’s been taught so far. It’s all the same in our history books we have here.” Luna spilled her guts frantically and talking quickly.

Now!” Vapor growled. She figured out fast it wasn’t a joke and did as told. Her mom took position behind her and raised the paddle. Luna turned her head to watch. \t“Yeah. Okay,” Luna replied then left the room.

\tLuna stepped into her bedroom and slammed the door behind her. She growled then rubbed her ass. He cautiously walked up to the open bathroom door and peeked in. \t“Okay. You’re telling the truth. I want to know where she’s going when she skips. I want you to trail her tomorrow and the next day until you find out where she’s going. I’ll call Mr. Rosco tomorrow about this,”
\t“Uh, sure,” he replied still confused about everything. “Am I in trouble?”
\t“No Onai you’re not. You can go. Thank you,” she replied.

\t“Mom wants me to follow you and find out where you’re going to skip,”

\t“You heard me. She’s going to call Mr. Rosco tomorrow about it,”
