Anyway, enjoy!", "writing": "Friday June 15, 2018\n\n\t“Pepper, is your mom really okay with me being here with you?” Shade asked.\n\t“Of course she is. Why do you ask?” Pepper replied.\n\n\tBoth of them sat on the small deck with their hindpaws in the Koi pond. It was the first summer that Shade lived with the Wolfe family. He is ten years and seven months old, while Pepper was a little older at eleven years and three months. Shade sighed and stared at the fish swimming below them.\n\n\t“I don’t know. I just showed up and stayed. She’s bought me a lot of stuff too. I feel like I’m, umm, uh, I don’t know. I feel bad about her taking me in and buying clothes for me and everything,”\n\t“Shade, she likes you. Trust me, like I’ve said before, if she didn’t want you here, you wouldn’t be here. But then again, she’d might not have a choice since you claimed me,”\n\t“I feel like she just stares at me a lot. Like she’s trying to see if I’m doing something bad or wrong,”\n\t“Shade, she doesn’t stare at you like that. She’s worried about you,”\n\t“Why?”\n\t“Because of what you went through with your mom and dad. I think she’s just making sure that you’re happy and not in pain or something,”\n\t“Oh okay,”\n\t“You want me to tell her to stop doing that?”\n\t“No. Don’t. I don’t want her upset or anything with me,”\n\t“Shade, you silly otter, she’s not going to be upset. But I won’t if you don’t want me to,”\n\t“Thanks Pepper. Maybe I’m just worrying about it too much. I don’t want to go through here what I did with my parents,”\n\t“Shade, you will never have to worry about my mom beating you or throwing you out. She hates abuse of cubs and adults. Sure she’ll spank us but usually no more than that,”\n\t“I know I shouldn’t, but the fear is still there,”\n\t“I know. I can see that fear in your eyes often. That’s probably why my mom keeps an eye on you because she see’s the fear that you show. She’s only worried about you,”\n\t“I didn’t know you or anyone could see me being scared,”\n\t“We can Shade, but you’ve been slowly getting better over the months though,”\n\t“Oh, okay,” he replied and looked across the yard.\n\n\tHours later the two were laying in bed, Shade was curled up, his back against Pepper’s front. He laid there listening to her quiet breathing while she slept peacefully. Him on the other paw, couldn’t fall asleep again. Ever since he moved in with his mate and new family, he’s had a hard time falling asleep a few times a week, or he would wake up from a bad dream of his parents beating or throwing him out. He slowly carefully got out of bed trying to not wake Pepper up, he slipped into his a pair of pajamas and headed outside. He quietly and slowly crept down the stairs. As soon as he came into view of the living room he stopped, Willow was sitting in a chair with a table lamp on and reading a book. He stopped and carefully lowered his right paw on a step. His eyes widened and his heart skipped a beat after the step squeaked loudly, a rare thing to happen in the house. Willow stopped reading and looked over at the figure on the stairs.\n\t“Come on down Shade,” she said and watched him walk down the rest of the way.\n\t“How did you know it was me?” He asked stepping off the stairs.\n\t“You’re a different height and build than my kids,”\n\t“Oh,”\n\t“You should be in bed,”\n\t“I couldn’t sleep again,”\n\t“Aww, I’m sorry to hear that. Are you feeling okay?”\n\t“I think so,”\n\t“Come and sit down, you don’t have to stand at the bottom of the stairs,”\n\t“Sorry,” he replied then moved over to the couch and sat down.\n\t“Mrs. Wolfe, umm, Pepper said that you’re worried about me. Is that true?”\n\t“Shade, please call me Willow. And yes, that is true. I’m a bit worried about you. Knowing what you went through, it’s not, well you know, not good. It can effect furs for years or decades. You don’t really talk when you’re around others except for Pepper,”\n\t“I guess I’m still scared of my parents. I’m scared they might get out and try to take me back. Take me away from Pepper and never let me see her again,”\n\t“Shade, I will never let them take you if they were somehow to get out of prison. I promise you that. I’ll protect you as if you were my own child. Fang and Quill would too. I’m more than sure that Pepper would as well, along with Vapor,”\n\t“It’s nice to know that Mrs… Willow. Thanks,”\n\t“Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?”\n\t“I don’t know. I mean, yeah, but I don’t know,”\n\t“You don’t have to be scared to talk to me. You can come to me about anything. I’ll listen to you, give you advice, hugs or almost anything that you want or need. So what’s on your mind?”\n\t“Okay. Why do you let Pepper and me sleep together? Isn’t that unusual for parents to let that happen?”\n\t“Well, you claimed my daughter. So you’re her mate. So it’s only natural to let you two sleep together. I can’t keep you two separate, it’s illegal to do so. Before Fang claimed Vapor, I let them sleep together when they were younger but very rarely when they turned seven. I never let them bathe together either. Not until after Vapor’s parents died,”\n\t“Oh, I see. And you really don’t mind that we, umm, well, you know…” he said then sighed. “Sex,” he said quietly as he felt his cheeks burning red hot.\n\t“I can’t say no because I let Fang and Vapor. Also because I had sex and got pregnant fairly young too. It would be hypocritical of me to keep you and Pepper from doing it. Do I like it? No, not really, since you two are so young, the same goes for Fang and Vapor. There’s a reason why I bought you condoms. Fang and Vapor is going to lose out on most of their teen years because they have cubs. I don’t want that to happen to you and Pepper. I wanted Fang and Vapor to enjoy their teen years not as parents, but it didn’t happen. I knew they were sexual but I didn’t stop them. I should have but I didn’t. Vapor was in a bad place after her parents died. It seemed that after they did have sex her worries and fears and pain went away, for a little while anyway,”\n\t“Oh okay,” he replied.\n\t“Shade, you’re a great boy and a good friend, well a mate, to Pepper. She really loves you and as long as she’s happy, I’m happy. I’m happy for both of you. You’re both happy and loving life. Just try to smile a bit more, it’ll make you feel better,”\n\t“I’ll try and thank you Willow. I really do love Pepper. She’s the first fur that really truly cared for me. I felt more love from her while I sat in the bathroom stall at school when she was covering up my bruises on my face. A couple of months later, I walked into school and we met up. But I wasn’t in a good mood, I was hurting badly. My mom got mad that I dropped a glass cup and threw the broken cup at me. It hit my back and cut me. I didn’t have much time to do anything other than put an old towel on it, then the bus came. I didn’t feel like talking to Pepper that day and walked away. She saw the blood on the back of my shirt when I walked away. She took my paw and we went back to the bathroom. She told me everything would be okay and pulled my shirt off. We sat there while she got the bleeding to stop. She was pissed at my parents for doing that to, as she said, a nice, cute, funny and caring boy. She said she wanted to talk to her uncle about beating my parents up. I quickly said no don’t do that. She nodded and agreed not to. We sat there for the longest. She sat behind me and rested her head against my back and hugged me. When the bell rung, she continued to hold me. She kept me in that hug for the longest. We were late but oddly I was okay with that. After another ten minutes she kissed me. I was embarrassed but liked it. She gave me one of her shirts to wear and headed to our classrooms,”\n\t“I’m sorry you had to go through all of that abuse Shade. And Pepper is right, you’re nice and funny and I can tell that you care for and love her a lot,”\n\t“I do and I’m glad that she helped me that day with the bruises. I was still scared and everything, but I somehow knew that she’d help take care of me. I needed that hug and kiss she gave me that day and every other time,”\n\t“I’m glad to know that she cared for and helped you Shade. I never knew she had a boyfriend, she never once spoke of you. Not until the day that moved in with us,”\n\t“That was me. I begged her not to tell anyone, fearing that my parents would find out and beat me. My fears was right, when I told them that day, they beat me. You know that though,”\n\t“You’ll never have to go through that again Shade,” she said then stood up and walked over to him. She stood him up on the couch and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her neck and hugged and began crying. She sat down and kept hugging him until he let out of his hug nearly ten minutes later. She sat him on her legs facing her then wiped the tears from his eyes and kissed his muzzle.\n\t“I know that you love Pepper a lot. Just keep doing that and she’ll love you back. We all will,”\n\t“Thanks Willow,” he said then sniffled a few times then hugged her again. As he hugged her his body filled with warmth and fell asleep in her arms.\n\n***\n\n\tThe next morning Shade stirred and tried to sit up but couldn’t do to weight on his chest. He looked to see Pepper sleeping beside him, her arm rested across his chest. He looked around confused, he was in the bedroom again. He tried to hold back a yawn but failed. He stretched his arms out. His movements woke Pepper up, she looked up at him and smiled.\n\t“Hey Shade,”\n\t“Morning Pepper,” he said then rubbed his head after sitting up.\n\t“You look confused,”\n\t“Yeah a little,”\n\t“Mom carried you up last night. I woke up after she laid you on the bed. She told me that you went downstairs again and that you and her talked and that you fell asleep,”\n\t“Yeah. I was going to go watch cartoons but your mom was down there. I saw her and was going to go back up, but the stairs made a noise and she caught me. I thought she was going to be upset that I was up so late,”\n\t“No, she doesn’t get mad if we wake up and go downstairs for water or something. She knows that the TV can help calm you down and let you fall asleep,”\n\t“Oh okay,”\n\t“Hey, you want to go take a bath together? We’ve never taken one together,”\n\t“I um…” he said then looked at her. She was smiling at him and her eye’s just seemed to be urging him, “sure. That would be nice.”\n\n\tShe leaned up and kissed him for a few seconds before pulling the covers off. After she climbed over him and stood next to the bed after he grabbed her paw.\n\t“What?” She asked.\n\t“Sorry for worrying so much about thinking that your mom didn’t want me here,”\n\t“It’s okay Shade. You feel better about being here now?”\n\t“Yes,”\n\t“Good to hear. Hopefully you can sleep easier now,”\n\t“I hope. I’m always so tired after nights that I get little sleep,”\n\n\tShe placed her paws against his face and smiled. After a kiss she took his paws and pulled him up.\n\t“Come on, lets go take a bath. You can help me wash my back,”\n\t“Okay,” he replied.\n\n\tAfter their first ever bath together, they walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Willow was standing there cutting some meat.\n\t“Morning mom,”\n\t“Morning Willow,”\n\t“Morning you two. You both sleep well?”\n\t“Yes,”\n\t“Yes,” Shade said then walked up and hugged her, “thanks for talking with me last night. I feel much better now.”\n\t“Good to hear,” she replied.\n\n***\n\n\tLater in the day Pepper found her mom out in the garden pulling some vegetables out. She walked up and started helping.\n\t“Hey Pepper, you bored?”\n\t“No. I wanted to ask you something. But…”\n\t“But what?”\n\t“How does brother and Vapor not use condoms and not get her pregnant?”\n\t“Oh. Why do you ask?”\n\n\tPepper stopped pulling at a carrot and looked shyly looked away, after feeling her face heat up. Willow sighed but nodded.\n\n\t“Vapor gets a shot every four months,”\n\t“Oh. A shot? Ugh,” Pepper whined.\n\t“Pepper… I don’t like it but if you want it, you can get it. But I’d rather you not have sex. But I know you will,”\n\t“Thanks mom,”\n\t“Does Shade know your asking?”\n\t“No,”\n\t“There is a shot that you both can get. It will stop you from releasing eggs. And the shot for him would stop the his production of sperm but keeps producing the other fluid,”\n\t“Does it hurt?”\n\t“Hmm, you’ll have to ask Vapor that. As for the male shot, your brother is a wimp and doesn’t want to get it,”\n\t“Why not?”\n\t“Probably because of how many needles he’s been stuck with already in his young life,”\n\t“Ah, yeah, that would make sense I guess. Is he really doing okay or just trying to be brave,”\n\t“If he isn’t, he’s hiding it well,”\n\t“Oh okay. Well, I’ll go talk to Shade about the shots. I don’t know if I want to or not,”\n\t“Don’t let anyone pressure you into something that you don’t want to do or stop you from doing something that you do want to do,”\n\t“I won’t. Thanks mom,” Pepper said handing over three carrots.\n\n***\nThursday July 5, 2018\n\n\tAfter nearly two weeks of talking about those shots, the two young lovers sat on the exam table at the doctors office. Shade was seriously shaking, highly nervous and scared. Pepper took his paw and squeezed and told him everything would be fine and it would be worth it. It did little to calm his nerves. She turned his face towards her and kissed his nose then smiled.\n\t“It’ll be fine, I promise. Once this is over with we can, you know, all the time without those stupid condoms,”\n\t“They aren’t stupid Pepper,” Willow replied.\n\t“I know but…”\n\t“But what?” Willow asked looking up from her book.\n\t“Um…”\n\t“It feels different without them. Feels better,” Shade replied without knowing it, until he covered his muzzle and looked away.\n\t“Yes, they do but they keep you both safe,” Willow replied as the door opened up.\n\n\tShade’s face contorted and mashed together as the large needle pierced through his left ass cheek. His loud yelp and cries could be heard through the small office building. He gasped for air as the needle was withdrawn. Soon he had a piece of gauze and bandage over the injection site.\n\n\tUp next was Pepper, who was having second, third and fourth thoughts about this as she remained sitting in the chair next to her mom.\n\t“Pepper, go. Now. You wanted this. Shade’s already got his and you both promised to get the shot. Now go,” she said pushing her from the chair. Pepper shook her head furiously while her eyes were wide staring at the syringe and needle in the doctors paw. Willow leaned down and whispered into Pepper’s ear. After sitting back upright Pepper looked over at her.\n\t“I mean it,” Willow said sternly.\n\n\tShe sighed, stood up and climbed onto the exam table and laid down on her stomach.\n\n\tJust like almost everyone else who got the same birth control shot she cried as the thick needle pierced into her left ass cheek.\n\n\tAfter their shots and waiting in the waiting room for fifteen minutes, they all left. As they walked to the car, more like limping to the car, Pepper tugged on her moms arm.\n\t“Mom, can we get ice cream. Please?” She asked. Her face still matted from the tears.\n\t“How about lunch first, then ice cream?”\n\t“Sure!” both replied.\n\n\tA few minutes later they pulled into Norbert’s Diner. They sat down and waited a moment for the waiter. After taking their orders the waitress left.\n\t“Mom, why didn’t you tell us that it would hurt so bad?”\n\t“Because, I knew you wouldn’t get it. Plus, I told you to ask Vapor about it, and it seems like you didn’t,”\n\t“No I didn’t ask Vapor. Anyway, you said that you didn’t like us having sex,”\n\t“Yeah. But because I know you will no matter what, I’d rather you be protected from pregnancy with the shot. Condoms usually help, but if they break, then all bets are off. The shot is better. Painful but better,”\n\t“You’re really confusing mom,”\n\t“Yeah, I know.” she chuckled.\n\t“So, can we you know, have sex without condoms now?”\n\t“No. You need to give the shot a couple of weeks to fully work. \t“Pepper, is your mom really okay with me being here with you?” Shade asked.

He slowly carefully got out of bed trying to not wake Pepper up, he slipped into his a pair of pajamas and headed outside. He quietly and slowly crept down the stairs. As soon as he came into view of the living room he stopped, Willow was sitting in a chair with a table lamp on and reading a book. He stopped and carefully lowered his right paw on a step. \t“Come on down Shade,” she said and watched him walk down the rest of the way.

\t“Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?”

\t“You don’t have to be scared to talk to me. You can come to me about anything. I’ll listen to you, give you advice, hugs or almost anything that you want or need. So what’s on your mind?”

\t“I do and I’m glad that she helped me that day with the bruises. I was still scared and everything, but I somehow knew that she’d help take care of me. I needed that hug and kiss she gave me that day and every other time,”
\t“I’m glad to know that she cared for and helped you Shade. I never knew she had a boyfriend, she never once spoke of you. Not until the day that moved in with us,”
\t“That was me. I begged her not to tell anyone, fearing that my parents would find out and beat me. My fears was right, when I told them that day, they beat me. You know that though,”
\t“You’ll never have to go through that again Shade,” she said then stood up and walked over to him. She stood him up on the couch and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her neck and hugged and began crying. She sat down and kept hugging him until he let out of his hug nearly ten minutes later. She sat him on her legs facing her then wiped the tears from his eyes and kissed his muzzle.

\t“Thanks Willow,” he said then sniffled a few times then hugged her again. As he hugged her his body filled with warmth and fell asleep in her arms.

\tThe next morning Shade stirred and tried to sit up but couldn’t do to weight on his chest. He looked to see Pepper sleeping beside him, her arm rested across his chest. He looked around confused, he was in the bedroom again. He tried to hold back a yawn but failed. He stretched his arms out. His movements woke Pepper up, she looked up at him and smiled.

\t“Morning Pepper,” he said then rubbed his head after sitting up.
\t“You look confused,”
\t“Yeah a little,”
\t“Mom carried you up last night. I woke up after she laid you on the bed. She told me that you went downstairs again and that you and her talked and that you fell asleep,”
\t“Yeah. I was going to go watch cartoons but your mom was down there. I saw her and was going to go back up, but the stairs made a noise and she caught me. I thought she was going to be upset that I was up so late,”
\t“No, she doesn’t get mad if we wake up and go downstairs for water or something. She knows that the TV can help calm you down and let you fall asleep,”
\t“Oh okay,”
\t“Hey, you want to go take a bath together? We’ve never taken one together,”

\tShe placed her paws against his face and smiled. After a kiss she took his paws and pulled him up.

\tAfter their first ever bath together, they walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Willow was standing there cutting some meat.

\tLater in the day Pepper found her mom out in the garden pulling some vegetables out. She walked up and started helping.

\t“No. I wanted to ask you something. But…”

\tAfter nearly two weeks of talking about those shots, the two young lovers sat on the exam table at the doctors office. Shade was seriously shaking, highly nervous and scared. Pepper took his paw and squeezed and told him everything would be fine and it would be worth it. It did little to calm his nerves. She turned his face towards her and kissed his nose then smiled.
\t“It’ll be fine, I promise. Once this is over with we can, you know, all the time without those stupid condoms,”

\t“But what?” Willow asked looking up from her book.

\t“Yes, they do but they keep you both safe,” Willow replied as the door opened up.

\tShade’s face contorted and mashed together as the large needle pierced through his left ass cheek. His loud yelp and cries could be heard through the small office building. He gasped for air as the needle was withdrawn. Soon he had a piece of gauze and bandage over the injection site.

\tUp next was Pepper, who was having second, third and fourth thoughts about this as she remained sitting in the chair next to her mom.
\t“Pepper, go. Now. You wanted this. Shade’s already got his and you both promised to get the shot. Now go,” she said pushing her from the chair. Pepper shook her head furiously while her eyes were wide staring at the syringe and needle in the doctors paw. Willow leaned down and whispered into Pepper’s ear. After sitting back upright Pepper looked over at her.
\t“I mean it,” Willow said sternly.

\tShe sighed, stood up and climbed onto the exam table and laid down on her stomach.

\tJust like almost everyone else who got the same birth control shot she cried as the thick needle pierced into her left ass cheek.

\tAfter their shots and waiting in the waiting room for fifteen minutes, they all left. As they walked to the car, more like limping to the car, Pepper tugged on her moms arm.
\t“Mom, can we get ice cream. Please?” She asked. Her face still matted from the tears.
\t“How about lunch first, then ice cream?”
\t“Sure!” both replied.

\tA few minutes later they pulled into Norbert’s Diner. They sat down and waited a moment for the waiter. After taking their orders the waitress left.
\t“Mom, why didn’t you tell us that it would hurt so bad?”
\t“Because, I knew you wouldn’t get it. Plus, I told you to ask Vapor about it, and it seems like you didn’t,”
\t“No I didn’t ask Vapor. Anyway, you said that you didn’t like us having sex,”
\t“Yeah. But because I know you will no matter what, I’d rather you be protected from pregnancy with the shot. Condoms usually help, but if they break, then all bets are off. The shot is better. Painful but better,”
