Let's go explore the woods,” Onai said as they swung on the swing.\n\t“Sure,” She replied putting her hind paws down to the sand and stopping the swing.\n\n\tThe two of them snuck out of the gate and walked into the woods behind the house. They both stared up at the tall trees. Most were just two feet wide and upwards of fifty feet tall. Some are over a hundred feet tall and three to four feet wide while others are more than six foot wide and even taller. They slowly made their way through the woods while oohing and awwing at various things. After a while they ended up at a small pond. They climbed up onto the rocks on one of the sides and rested for a few minutes before continuing further into the woods. After an unknown amount of time and walking the two of them walked up onto a rock formation with an opening.\n\n\t“It's a cave!” Onai exclaimed.\n\t“Want to explore it?” Luna asked while her tail wagged.\n\t“YES!” Onai replied excitedly as his tail wagged quickly as well.\n\n\tThey made their way into the cave and were soon walking down a natural ramp. As they neared the bottom the sun light dimmed and they were faced with darkness. Being brave as they thought they were they continued walking through the cave only slower and more carefully. Within minutes a thud sounded out Onai walked into the cave wall.\n\n\t“OWW!” Onai cried out.\n\t“You okay?” Luna asked.\n\t“I think so,” Onai replied rubbing his muzzle.\n\n\tOnai took his sister’s paw and put his other paw on the wall and started walking as he followed it further into the cave. The narrow path opened up into a small room. They were met with a dull blue glow all around them. Onai released his grip from Luna and they looked around amazed at all the blue glowing specks on the walls and ceiling. Luna walked over to a pile of rocks and squatted down. She picked up a small rock and carried it back over to Onai and showed him. The rock sparkled and glowed with the blue specks in it.\n\n\t“What are these rocks?” Onai asked.\n\t“I have no idea. They’re pretty though,” Luna replied.\n\n***\n\n\t“Fang where could they be at? They know better to not leave the yard,” Vapor asked frantically.\n\t“They have to be around close by. We’ll find them. Let me call Abby and have her watch the others while we search,” Fang replied.\n\n\tA few minutes later Abby rushed into the house and up to Fang and Vapor.\n\n\t“You two go look for Onai and Luna. I’ll call you if they show up. Have you called Willow yet?” Abby said.\n\t“No. Let’s not call my mom or the police yet,” Fang replied.\n\n\tHe took Vapor’s paw and pulled her out into the back yard. They walked around and eventually exited the gate after seeing paw prints in the sand heading towards the gate. They had missed the prints the first time not thinking that the cubs would leave the yard without permission.\n\n\t“Hey let’s take some of these rocks back home,” Luna cheered.\n\t“Uh. Luna which one of the halls did we come from?” Onai asked as he slowly spun around looking at the six tunnels.\n\t“Uh, this one I think,” Luna replied walking up to a random tunnel.\n\n\tThey headed down the tunnel walking deeper into the cave system. After nearly ten minutes Luna stopped Onai. “I don’t think this is the way out,” She said.\n\t“Yeah. I don’t think so either. Let’s head back,” Onai replied.\n\n\t“They went into the woods. We’ll keep you updated,” Fang told Abby on the phone.\n\t“Yeah, we’ll be careful,” He replied after a moment then ended the call.\n\t“I am going to whip their asses and ground them for life,” Vapor scowled.\n\t“Easy Vapor, they’re only cubs,” Fang replied.\n\n\tAfter a short time they had made they way to the pond.\n\t“Oh wow. It’s this pond again,” Fang stated.\n\t“You’ve been here? When and why?” Vapor asked confused.\n\t“Remember when Katia was caught with the string panties? She ran out here,” Fang recalled.\n\t“Ah yeah. I forgot about that. This is a nice pond for sure,” Vapor replied. “But we have more important matters. We have to find them Fang,” Vapor said grabbing his arm.\n\t“Paw prints on that side are heading further in. Let’s go,” Fang said calmly. Deep down he was scared and pissed.\n\n***\n\n\t“This isn’t the way out either Onai,” Luna said sitting down on the cave floor.\n\tOnai pulled Luna up off the floor and they started walking back down the tunnel to the large room. They came up to a split and stopped walking.\n\t“Which way is it?” Onai asked.\n\t“I don’t know. Don’t ask me,” Luna said and started to cry.\n\t“Don’t cry Luna. We’ll get out,” Onai said. It splits so if we don’t get to the room we can come back and go the other way,” He added. He started walking down the left path but Luna pulled his arm and stopped him. “No this way,” Luna said. Onai took her paw and they started walking again in the direction Luna choose. After a short time they walked back into the room. “That’s three of the six paths. They headed down another path and it started to ramp up after a short walk. “This has to be the way out because we went down a ramp coming in,” Luna said excitedly. They both started to run. It only took them a few seconds to run up to the top of the ramp only to fall down the other side. Both of them screamed as they fell. They landed on the rocky floor with a heavy thud. Luna sat up gasping for air and trying to cry from the pain. Onai quickly crawled over to her. “LUNA! You okay?” He asked frantically. Luna grabbed her chest as air filled her lungs again. The faint glow from the scattered rocks filled the air around them. She fell down and started crying. Onai scooted over and pulled her onto his lap and hugged her while she sat in his lap crying.\n\t“You’re fine Luna. You had the air knocked out of you,” Onai said after a few moments, wiping tears from her face.\n\t“I want to go home. I want daddy,” She cried out.\n\t“Me too,” Onai said. “But we have to get out of here first though,” He said standing up.\n\n\tHe helped her up then started walking only to yelp in pain and fell to the ground again. His knee hit a rock sticking up from the floor. The adrenaline rush hid the pain until he was calmed down. Luna picked up the rocks and rushed over to Onai quickly.\n\t“You okay?” She asked.\n\t“Yeah, I can walk but my knee hurts,” He replied. They stood there and looked up the cliff face.\n\t“Think we can climb that?” Luna asked. Onai limped over to the wall and found rocks sticking out and started to climb up. A few feet up the wall a rock broke loose sending him back down. He landed on his side. He stood up and whimpered as he looked at Luna. Her face glowed the faint blue from the rocks. He sat down against the cliff and started crying. They sat there for a few hours trying to come up with a plan.\n\n***\n\n\t“Vapor we can’t continue looking for them tonight. It’s getting too dark,” Fang said holding onto Vapor’s arm.\n\t“We can’t leave them out here they’re only eight. They must be scared to death,” Vapor replied.\n\t“We’ll pick up here first thing in the morning with the police. We’ll find them and I’m sure they’re fine. They’re smart cubs,” Fang said hugging her.\n\tFang escorted Vapor back to the house where Willow, Abby and the others were waiting. They all knew the cubs were still out there since they weren’t being drug back by their napes.\n\t“Call the police Fang,” Willow stated as they walked in.\n\t“They’ll be fine,” Fang replied.\n\t“Fang call them or I will,” Willow replied. Fang pulled out his cell phone and dialed the few numbers.\n\n***\n\n\t“It’s cold Onai I’m just about freezing,” Luna whimpered.\n\t“I know I am too,” he replied pulling her closer to his body.\n\tLuna placed the rocks around them to give them some light as they cuddled together in each others arms. The faint glow of the rocks illuminated their breath in the cold air.\n\t“Will we get out of here brother?” Luna asked.\n\t“Yes we will,” Onai replied.\n\t“I miss mommy and daddy and Tib and Katia and Laika,” Luna stated.\n\t“You forgot Pepper and Grandma. But I miss them too,” Onai replied and hugged his sister tighter.\n\n\tAs the time passed by slowly Luna fell asleep. Onai sat against the wall and the floor shivering. He wanted to stay awake in case anything happened, so he could save his little sister. After another couple of hours he felt like he had to stand up and walk around. He didn’t know why but he did what he felt was right. As he stood up his legs tingled and his head started to hurt. He walked around in circles for what felt like forever. He stopped and rubbed his arms while he watched the air fog up in front of him. He walked back over to his sister and looked down at her, she was shivering.\n\t“What did I do? We going to die here,” Onai said, then laid back down and moved up against his sister.\n\n\n***\nSaturday July 1, 2023\n\n\t“Fang, look a cave. I wonder if they went in there?” Vapor asked.\n\t“We’ve been walking for over two hours. How long were they gone before we noticed them missing? How long was it since we last checked on them?” Fang asked. “We’re bad parents,” He added with an exhale.\n\t“Baby, we’re not bad parents,” Vapor said. “They’re cubs, as you said last night. They’re just like you, they love adventures. Remember when we got into the attic and your mom couldn’t find us? We did the same thing to her,” Vapor recalled.\n\t“Yeah but we didn’t leave the yard and run into the woods. Vapor, they could get lost and die out here,” Fang exclaimed.\n\t“Well, they are lost, but don’t think like that baby. I need you to be strong for our cubs and me. I’m the one who’s supposed to be freaking out, they were inside of me,” Vapor said placing her paws on his face.\n\t“You’re right. I’m sorry. Let’s check the cave. It can’t be that large,” Fang said. Fang grabbed the radio and let the few police officers know they were heading into a cave and gave rough directions just in case they weren’t heard from in a few hours.\n\n\tOnai woke up shivering still holding Luna in his arms. He sat up and shook Luna awake. She turned over on her back and jerked up as one of the rocks stabbed her in the back. After collecting herself she looked over at her brother.\n\n\t“How’s your knee?” Luna asked.\n\t“It’s feeling better. I think it’s just bruised,” Onai replied patting it but then winched in pain. They sat up and leaned against the wall. They sat there in the dark, scared to move. It had been a few hours since they woke up.\n\t“So what should we do?” Luna asked. “I’m bored just sitting around. It’s been like forever,” Luna added.\n\t“I don’t know sis. I’m sorry I got us into this,” Onai replied.\n\tLuna moved over and sat between Onai’s legs and leaned back. “I miss mommy and daddy,” She replied sobbing.\n\t“We probably should just stay here and wait for them to find us. That’s what Les Snake the Survival Fur says to do when you’re lost in the wilderness,” Onai said.\n\tOnai stood up and walked a few feet away carrying one of the rocks with him. He walked a few more feet and noticed that the tunnel continued going further down. Onai walked back over to Luna who was shivering and rubbing her arms.\n\t“I’m surprised we didn’t freeze to death last night,” Luna replied.\n\t“I don’t see how it got so cold in this cave. It’s almost July and it was really hot today. Yesterday? Is it even the same day?” Onai replied.\n\n\tThey sat down and waited for a few more hours. They tried climbing back up the wall but again the rocks broke sending them falling back down.\n\t“What if mom and dad don’t find us? It’s already getting colder again,” Luna replied rubbing her shoulders.\n\t“We could try barking or howling again,” Onai said.\n\tLuna stood up and barked a few times before her voice started to squeak again. “It’s no use. We’re just too far in,” Luna replied.\n\t“You want to make a bet. Your both in deep shit trouble. Get up here,” An angry deep voice sounded out, causing both of them to jump and run further into the cave screaming.\n\n\tAfter a few minutes of them running they stopped inside another large room, no light coming from anywhere other than the two rocks in Luna’s paws. Both of them fell on their legs panting, both out of breath.\n\t“Who was that?” Luna asked between pants.\n\t“I don’t know. I don’t want to find out,” Onai said quietly. “We’ve got to hide. Come on,” He added as he grabbed her arm and continued running. Without much light, Onai ran directly into another wall and fell backwards onto his ass. He yelped out in pain as blood started to flowing out of his nose. He could feel the warmth of it. Luna pulled him up.\n\t“You’re bleeding,” Luna said, not being able to see but smell it.\n\t“I’ll be fine. Let’s just go,” Onai said. He started to run off, but Luna dug her paws into the ground.\n\t“Stop Onai, we’re just getting more lost. We can’t see well down here. We’re not feral with good night vision,” She warned. He exhaled and sat down against the wall.\n\t“I know. But if that fur is bad. What’s going to happen to us?” He asked as his voice started cracking.\n\n\t“ONAI! LUNA!” Fang shouted loudly through the cave. They watched as their cubs run further into the cave screaming.\n\t“Way to go Fang. You scared them,” Vapor scowled.\n\t“It’s not like I meant to. Come on. Let’s go get them,” He said as he jumped down.\n\t“Be careful its a fairly long drop,” He warned. Vapor landed on her hind paws with a thud. They continued walking through the tunnel system calling out the cubs names. After a few minutes of walking they entered into the large room with a few more tunnels. They could barely see them, but the extra dark shadows gave them away. Fang and Vapor both had slightly better night vision than their cubs did. Vapor’s vision was even better than Fang’s.\n\t“This way,” She said taking his paw. They walked into the tunnel and slowly made their way down it, only to met a dead end a minute later. “Dammit!” She scowled. They turned around and headed back into the room and down the next tunnel. After couple of minutes they could hear the faint sound of crying.\n\t“Shh. You hear that?” Fang asked, stopping Vapor from walking.\n\t“Yeah. Don’t scare them again,” She replied.\n\n\tVapor and Fang slowly walked down the tunnel following the sounds of crying. Closer and closer the cries got louder. Then out of nowhere the crying stopped and soft shuffling could be heard.\n\t“Onai. Luna. Stop!” Vapor shouted out.\n\t“Mommy?” Luna cried. She ran towards the voice and jumped into Vapor’s arms. Onai came running behind her. Fang quickly scooped him up and hugged him.\n\n\t“We thought… I don’t even know,” Fang stuttered out.\n\t“I’m sorry we left the yard. We don’t do it again,” Luna cried wrapping her legs and arms around her moms body. Both cubs cried as they were being carried back through the tunnel and into the large room. “Are you two okay?” Fang asked as they stopped. “Onai’s nose is bleeding, but I think we’re okay,” Luna replied. Fang stood Onai on the ground and took his paw and held it tightly, but not tight enough to hurt him. They all continued their walk back the way they came. They stopped at the cliff and looked up. Fang lifted Onai into the air and boosted him onto the edge of the drop. He took Luna in his arms he hugged her and did the same. He then helped Vapor get up onto the edge. He jumped and grabbed the edge and used his claws on the wall with his hind paws and made it up. “You’re both in trouble when we get home,” Fang said as they walked into the room with the glowing blue rocks. Luna stopped and picked up more of the glowing rocks since she had dropped the ones she had when they started to run again before their mom called their names out.\n\t“Luna! Come here now,” Vapor barked. Luna jumped and ran to catch up.\n\t“I just wanted to get some of the rocks. They’re pretty,” She said sniffling. After a short time the four of them walked out into the blinding daylight. Both cubs covered their eyes from the blinding light.\n\n***\n\n\tFang spun Onai around and whipped his ass a dozen times before he turned his attention to Luna, who received the same punishment. Willow rushed into the room as both cubs laid on the floor crying. \n\t“Fang! What are you doing?” Willow asked angrily.\n\t“Both of you to your rooms. You’re both grounded for the rest of the year. There will be no birthday party for you either of you,” Fang scowled. Both cubs stayed on the ground still crying. \n\t“NOW!” Fang roared. Both cubs quickly ran out of the room crying. Their tails hanging between their legs.\n\t“Fang what in the hell has gotten into you?” Willow asked grabbing his arm. Fang dropped down on the couch and covered his face exhaling deeply.\n\t“Was that really called for Fang? Spanking them that many times and hard? I know they left the yard and got lost. What if there was a hole in the tunnel and one or both fell down to your death. \t“Hey come on Luna. Let's go explore the woods,” Onai said as they swung on the swing.
\t“Sure,” She replied putting her hind paws down to the sand and stopping the swing.

\tThe two of them snuck out of the gate and walked into the woods behind the house. They both stared up at the tall trees. Most were just two feet wide and upwards of fifty feet tall. Some are over a hundred feet tall and three to four feet wide while others are more than six foot wide and even taller. They slowly made their way through the woods while oohing and awwing at various things. After a while they ended up at a small pond. They climbed up onto the rocks on one of the sides and rested for a few minutes before continuing further into the woods. After an unknown amount of time and walking the two of them walked up onto a rock formation with an opening.

\t“It's a cave!” Onai exclaimed.
\t“Want to explore it?” Luna asked while her tail wagged.
\t“YES!” Onai replied excitedly as his tail wagged quickly as well.

\tThey made their way into the cave and were soon walking down a natural ramp. As they neared the bottom the sun light dimmed and they were faced with darkness. Being brave as they thought they were they continued walking through the cave only slower and more carefully. Within minutes a thud sounded out Onai walked into the cave wall.

\t“OWW!” Onai cried out.
\t“You okay?” Luna asked.
\t“I think so,” Onai replied rubbing his muzzle.

\tOnai took his sister’s paw and put his other paw on the wall and started walking as he followed it further into the cave. The narrow path opened up into a small room. They were met with a dull blue glow all around them. Onai released his grip from Luna and they looked around amazed at all the blue glowing specks on the walls and ceiling. Luna walked over to a pile of rocks and squatted down. She picked up a small rock and carried it back over to Onai and showed him. The rock sparkled and glowed with the blue specks in it.

\t“What are these rocks?” Onai asked.
\t“I have no idea. They’re pretty though,” Luna replied.

\t“Fang where could they be at? They know better to not leave the yard,” Vapor asked frantically.
\t“They have to be around close by. We’ll find them. Let me call Abby and have her watch the others while we search,” Fang replied.

\tA few minutes later Abby rushed into the house and up to Fang and Vapor.

\t“You two go look for Onai and Luna. I’ll call you if they show up. Have you called Willow yet?” Abby said.
\t“No. Let’s not call my mom or the police yet,” Fang replied.

\tHe took Vapor’s paw and pulled her out into the back yard. They walked around and eventually exited the gate after seeing paw prints in the sand heading towards the gate. They had missed the prints the first time not thinking that the cubs would leave the yard without permission.

\t“Hey let’s take some of these rocks back home,” Luna cheered.
\t“Uh. Luna which one of the halls did we come from?” Onai asked as he slowly spun around looking at the six tunnels.
\t“Uh, this one I think,” Luna replied walking up to a random tunnel.

\tThey headed down the tunnel walking deeper into the cave system. After nearly ten minutes Luna stopped Onai. “I don’t think this is the way out,” She said.
\t“Yeah. I don’t think so either. Let’s head back,” Onai replied.

\t“They went into the woods. We’ll keep you updated,” Fang told Abby on the phone.
\t“Yeah, we’ll be careful,” He replied after a moment then ended the call.
\t“I am going to whip their asses and ground them for life,” Vapor scowled.
\t“Easy Vapor, they’re only cubs,” Fang replied.

\tAfter a short time they had made they way to the pond.
\t“Oh wow. It’s this pond again,” Fang stated.
\t“You’ve been here? When and why?” Vapor asked confused.
\t“Remember when Katia was caught with the string panties? She ran out here,” Fang recalled.
\t“Ah yeah. I forgot about that. This is a nice pond for sure,” Vapor replied. “But we have more important matters. We have to find them Fang,” Vapor said grabbing his arm.
\t“Paw prints on that side are heading further in. Let’s go,” Fang said calmly. Deep down he was scared and pissed.

\t“This isn’t the way out either Onai,” Luna said sitting down on the cave floor.
\tOnai pulled Luna up off the floor and they started walking back down the tunnel to the large room. They came up to a split and stopped walking.
\t“Which way is it?” Onai asked.
\t“I don’t know. Don’t ask me,” Luna said and started to cry.
\t“Don’t cry Luna. We’ll get out,” Onai said. It splits so if we don’t get to the room we can come back and go the other way,” He added. He started walking down the left path but Luna pulled his arm and stopped him. “No this way,” Luna said. Onai took her paw and they started walking again in the direction Luna choose. After a short time they walked back into the room. “That’s three of the six paths. They headed down another path and it started to ramp up after a short walk. “This has to be the way out because we went down a ramp coming in,” Luna said excitedly. They both started to run. It only took them a few seconds to run up to the top of the ramp only to fall down the other side. Both of them screamed as they fell. They landed on the rocky floor with a heavy thud. Luna sat up gasping for air and trying to cry from the pain. Onai quickly crawled over to her. “LUNA! You okay?” He asked frantically. Luna grabbed her chest as air filled her lungs again. The faint glow from the scattered rocks filled the air around them. She fell down and started crying. Onai scooted over and pulled her onto his lap and hugged her while she sat in his lap crying.
\t“You’re fine Luna. You had the air knocked out of you,” Onai said after a few moments, wiping tears from her face.
\t“I want to go home. I want daddy,” She cried out.
\t“Me too,” Onai said. “But we have to get out of here first though,” He said standing up.

\tHe helped her up then started walking only to yelp in pain and fell to the ground again. His knee hit a rock sticking up from the floor. The adrenaline rush hid the pain until he was calmed down. Luna picked up the rocks and rushed over to Onai quickly.
\t“You okay?” She asked.
\t“Yeah, I can walk but my knee hurts,” He replied. They stood there and looked up the cliff face.
\t“Think we can climb that?” Luna asked. Onai limped over to the wall and found rocks sticking out and started to climb up. A few feet up the wall a rock broke loose sending him back down. He landed on his side. He stood up and whimpered as he looked at Luna. Her face glowed the faint blue from the rocks. He sat down against the cliff and started crying. They sat there for a few hours trying to come up with a plan.

\t“Vapor we can’t continue looking for them tonight. It’s getting too dark,” Fang said holding onto Vapor’s arm.
\t“We can’t leave them out here they’re only eight. They must be scared to death,” Vapor replied.
\t“We’ll pick up here first thing in the morning with the police. We’ll find them and I’m sure they’re fine. They’re smart cubs,” Fang said hugging her.
\tFang escorted Vapor back to the house where Willow, Abby and the others were waiting. They all knew the cubs were still out there since they weren’t being drug back by their napes.
\t“Call the police Fang,” Willow stated as they walked in.
\t“They’ll be fine,” Fang replied.
\t“Fang call them or I will,” Willow replied. Fang pulled out his cell phone and dialed the few numbers.

\t“It’s cold Onai I’m just about freezing,” Luna whimpered.
\t“I know I am too,” he replied pulling her closer to his body.
\tLuna placed the rocks around them to give them some light as they cuddled together in each others arms. The faint glow of the rocks illuminated their breath in the cold air.
\t“Will we get out of here brother?” Luna asked.
\t“Yes we will,” Onai replied.
\t“I miss mommy and daddy and Tib and Katia and Laika,” Luna stated.
\t“You forgot Pepper and Grandma. But I miss them too,” Onai replied and hugged his sister tighter.

\tAs the time passed by slowly Luna fell asleep. Onai sat against the wall and the floor shivering. He wanted to stay awake in case anything happened, so he could save his little sister. After another couple of hours he felt like he had to stand up and walk around. He didn’t know why but he did what he felt was right. As he stood up his legs tingled and his head started to hurt. He walked around in circles for what felt like forever. He stopped and rubbed his arms while he watched the air fog up in front of him. He walked back over to his sister and looked down at her, she was shivering.
\t“What did I do? We going to die here,” Onai said, then laid back down and moved up against his sister.

\t“Fang, look a cave. I wonder if they went in there?” Vapor asked.
\t“We’ve been walking for over two hours. How long were they gone before we noticed them missing? How long was it since we last checked on them?” Fang asked. “We’re bad parents,” He added with an exhale.
\t“Baby, we’re not bad parents,” Vapor said. “They’re cubs, as you said last night. They’re just like you, they love adventures. Remember when we got into the attic and your mom couldn’t find us? We did the same thing to her,” Vapor recalled.
\t“Yeah but we didn’t leave the yard and run into the woods. Vapor, they could get lost and die out here,” Fang exclaimed.
\t“Well, they are lost, but don’t think like that baby. I need you to be strong for our cubs and me. I’m the one who’s supposed to be freaking out, they were inside of me,” Vapor said placing her paws on his face.
\t“You’re right. I’m sorry. Let’s check the cave. It can’t be that large,” Fang said. Fang grabbed the radio and let the few police officers know they were heading into a cave and gave rough directions just in case they weren’t heard from in a few hours.

\tOnai woke up shivering still holding Luna in his arms. He sat up and shook Luna awake. She turned over on her back and jerked up as one of the rocks stabbed her in the back. After collecting herself she looked over at her brother.

\t“How’s your knee?” Luna asked.
\t“It’s feeling better. I think it’s just bruised,” Onai replied patting it but then winched in pain. They sat up and leaned against the wall. They sat there in the dark, scared to move. It had been a few hours since they woke up.
\t“So what should we do?” Luna asked. “I’m bored just sitting around. It’s been like forever,” Luna added.
\t“I don’t know sis. I’m sorry I got us into this,” Onai replied.
\tLuna moved over and sat between Onai’s legs and leaned back. “I miss mommy and daddy,” She replied sobbing.
\t“We probably should just stay here and wait for them to find us. That’s what Les Snake the Survival Fur says to do when you’re lost in the wilderness,” Onai said.
\tOnai stood up and walked a few feet away carrying one of the rocks with him. He walked a few more feet and noticed that the tunnel continued going further down. Onai walked back over to Luna who was shivering and rubbing her arms.
\t“I’m surprised we didn’t freeze to death last night,” Luna replied.
\t“I don’t see how it got so cold in this cave. It’s almost July and it was really hot today. Yesterday? Is it even the same day?” Onai replied.

\tThey sat down and waited for a few more hours. They tried climbing back up the wall but again the rocks broke sending them falling back down.
\t“What if mom and dad don’t find us? It’s already getting colder again,” Luna replied rubbing her shoulders.
\t“We could try barking or howling again,” Onai said.
\tLuna stood up and barked a few times before her voice started to squeak again. “It’s no use. We’re just too far in,” Luna replied.
\t“You want to make a bet. Your both in deep shit trouble. Get up here,” An angry deep voice sounded out, causing both of them to jump and run further into the cave screaming.

\tAfter a few minutes of them running they stopped inside another large room, no light coming from anywhere other than the two rocks in Luna’s paws. Both of them fell on their legs panting, both out of breath.
\t“Who was that?” Luna asked between pants.
\t“I don’t know. I don’t want to find out,” Onai said quietly. “We’ve got to hide. Come on,” He added as he grabbed her arm and continued running. Without much light, Onai ran directly into another wall and fell backwards onto his ass. He yelped out in pain as blood started to flowing out of his nose. He could feel the warmth of it. Luna pulled him up.
\t“You’re bleeding,” Luna said, not being able to see but smell it.
\t“I’ll be fine. Let’s just go,” Onai said. He started to run off, but Luna dug her paws into the ground.
\t“Stop Onai, we’re just getting more lost. We can’t see well down here. We’re not feral with good night vision,” She warned. He exhaled and sat down against the wall.
\t“I know. But if that fur is bad. What’s going to happen to us?” He asked as his voice started cracking.

\t“ONAI! LUNA!” Fang shouted loudly through the cave. They watched as their cubs run further into the cave screaming.
\t“Way to go Fang. You scared them,” Vapor scowled.
\t“It’s not like I meant to. Come on. Let’s go get them,” He said as he jumped down.
\t“Be careful its a fairly long drop,” He warned. Vapor landed on her hind paws with a thud. They continued walking through the tunnel system calling out the cubs names. After a few minutes of walking they entered into the large room with a few more tunnels. They could barely see them, but the extra dark shadows gave them away. Fang and Vapor both had slightly better night vision than their cubs did. Vapor’s vision was even better than Fang’s.
\t“This way,” She said taking his paw. They walked into the tunnel and slowly made their way down it, only to met a dead end a minute later. “Dammit!” She scowled. They turned around and headed back into the room and down the next tunnel. After couple of minutes they could hear the faint sound of crying.
\t“Shh. You hear that?” Fang asked, stopping Vapor from walking.
\t“Yeah. Don’t scare them again,” She replied.

\tVapor and Fang slowly walked down the tunnel following the sounds of crying. Closer and closer the cries got louder. Then out of nowhere the crying stopped and soft shuffling could be heard.
\t“Onai. Luna. Stop!” Vapor shouted out.
\t“Mommy?” Luna cried. She ran towards the voice and jumped into Vapor’s arms. Onai came running behind her. Fang quickly scooped him up and hugged him.

\t“We thought… I don’t even know,” Fang stuttered out.
\t“I’m sorry we left the yard. We don’t do it again,” Luna cried wrapping her legs and arms around her moms body. Both cubs cried as they were being carried back through the tunnel and into the large room. “Are you two okay?” Fang asked as they stopped. “Onai’s nose is bleeding, but I think we’re okay,” Luna replied. Fang stood Onai on the ground and took his paw and held it tightly, but not tight enough to hurt him. They all continued their walk back the way they came. They stopped at the cliff and looked up. Fang lifted Onai into the air and boosted him onto the edge of the drop. He took Luna in his arms he hugged her and did the same. He then helped Vapor get up onto the edge. He jumped and grabbed the edge and used his claws on the wall with his hind paws and made it up. “You’re both in trouble when we get home,” Fang said as they walked into the room with the glowing blue rocks. Luna stopped and picked up more of the glowing rocks since she had dropped the ones she had when they started to run again before their mom called their names out.
\t“Luna! Come here now,” Vapor barked. Luna jumped and ran to catch up.
\t“I just wanted to get some of the rocks. They’re pretty,” She said sniffling. After a short time the four of them walked out into the blinding daylight. Both cubs covered their eyes from the blinding light.

\t“I thought I lost you both yesterday. I was so scared Luna,” Fang said. Luna sat there as tears started to roll down her face and hugged him back.
\t“I’m sorry that we scared you daddy,” She whispered. He moved his paws to under her butt to support her. She winced and yelped in pain as he stood up and put pressure on her rear. He stood her on the bed.
\t“You hurt my butt,” She said quietly. He turned her around and pulled her pants and panties down. Moving the fur around he saw a bruise. A large bruise.
\t“I’m sorry princess. I lost my mind down there,” He replied pulling her panties and pants back up. She turned around and hugged him.
\t“I know you love us daddy and that you didn’t mean to hit us so hard,” She replied with a kiss.
\t“You look so much like your mom … everywhere,” Fang said. Luna cocked her head in confusion causing Fang to smile.
\t“Don’t worry about it sweetie,” He said and picked her up laying her across his arms then walked out the door and downstairs.

\tOnai was sitting on his left butt cheek on the kitchen counter in his underwear with his right butt cheek lifted up. Vapor was finishing wrapping a gauze bandage around his knee from where he hit the rock in the cave.
\t“I’m sorry Onai. I didn’t mean to leave a bruise on your butt,” Fang said as he stood Luna on the floor. He walked up to Onai and picked him up and hugged him.
\t“I was just so scared that we had lost you both. It’s the most scared I’ve ever been for you two,” Fang said as he ran his fingers through Onai’s head fur.
\t“I’m sorry dad,” Onai replied hugging his dad tightly.
\t“Are we still grounded?” Luna asked.
\t“Oh yes. Very much grounded,” Fang replied and laughed.

\tVapor pulled out stuff for sandwiches and made the twins some lunch. They sat there and devoured two sandwiches each and half of a third sandwich. Willow looked over at Fang and chuckled.
\t“They have your appetite,” Willow stated.
\t“Maybe or it’s cause they went a full day without eating,” Fang replied.
\t“After you two clean up get back to your bedroom,” Vapor stated.
\t“Yes mom,” both replied.

\tLater that night Luna walked downstairs and into the living room where her parents were sitting watching TV. She sat down on the couch sitting on the side of her hip.
\t“Why are you down here Luna?” Fang asked.
\t“I wanted to be with you and mom,” Luna replied.
\t“You’re grounded and not supposed to be watching TV,” Fang replied.
\tLuna sat up straight to stand up but whimpered in pain from the bruise. Fang grabbed her softly and laid her on her stomach across his lap.
\t“I’m going back up to my room, don’t spank me again,” Luna begged.
\t“Calm down, I’m not spanking you,” Fang reply pulling her panties down. He softly and carefully started massaging the bruise, causing her to whimper a bit. Vapor looked over at him and narrowed her eyes at him. Luna laid there whimpering as he started but within a minute the pain faded away. A few minutes into the massage he looked down and saw her slightly panting and smiling. He stopped and lifted her up and watched as she pulled up her panties.
\t“Now then, get back to your room,” Fang said and nudged his head towards the stairs.
\t“Okay daddy,” Luna replied. He watched as she walked away. After she disappeared up the stairs he looked at Vapor who was looking at him.
\t“Don’t even start Vapor. I was just massaging the bruise,” Fang said before she spoke.
\t“You’ll be doctoring both of their bruises until they go away,” Vapor replied.
\t“I know,” Fang replied and looked at the floor and sighed. Vapor leaned over and rested her head on his shoulder.
\t“You’ll be okay. You’re still learning,” Vapor said.
\t“Yeah, gotta remember that I’ve got muscles and lots of strength,” Fang replied.
\t“Yeah you do,” Vapor replied and wrapped her arm around his and squeezed.

\tA couple hours passed when Vapor and Fang headed upstairs. They stopped in to check on Onai and Luna. The two twins were sleeping peacefully in their bed, it was two AM after all. Fang walked in and covered them up and kissed their foreheads then left the room. He looked back at them and smiled as he closed the door.
