Court Fang Wolfe Vs. Jag Tiger Courtroom Transcript

I hope you enjoy this story.
I did upwards of two weeks of research for this story. I researched court cases and how they are handled.
Types of offenses and the relevant charges including sentencing length. (I'm sure I got this stuff wrong still, its not easy to understand everything, not for me anyway. I even had the thought about going to a local law office and asking a lawyer to explain stuff to me, but decided not to waste his/her time)

I did some photoshoping for various things for the Courtroom Transcript. I made an error in one of the images. On the last page, the bottom stamp, it says 1776, it should be 1876 for when Colorado became a state.
I used real court documents as the template BUT changed names and ID's, as to not incur the wrath of police and government.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy everything in the story.

Jag Tiger stood up on the right side of the courtroom, cuffs on his ankles and wrists attached to a waist chain. The ankle cuffs were on a short heavy chain locked into a bolt in the floor. He stood there in a bright orange jumpsuit. Willow and Vapor stood up in front of a bench directly behind Fang. Six classmates, two teachers and the nurse stood in front of benches out in the crowd behind the partition wall. Both Fang's and Jag's lawyers both stood.\n\n\tThe judge entered the room and took his seat.\n\n\t“Everyone may sit now.” The judge stated.\n\n\tThe judge looked through a folder that he carried in with him. After a few moments of silence he spoke loudly.\n\n\t“Mr. Tiger, you stand before this court with the following charges. Aggravated Malicious Wounding in the first degree. Battery in the second degree. Attempted murder in the first degree. Brutality of a minor in the first degree. Violent actions within a school building in the first degree. Verbal Assault in the second degree. Each charge carries a twenty years to life sentence. Mr. Tiger, please stand and tell the court, how do you plead?” Judge Owl stated.\n\t“I understand the charges. I plea not guilty due to physical, emotional and sexual abuse and forced to take drugs by my parents. Forced drugs were cocaine and heroin.” Jag spoke.\n\t“Very well Mr. Tiger. Please take your seat.” Judge Owl stated.\n\t“Mr. Wolfe please stand. Do you agree with his plea?” Judge Owl asked.\n\t“I’m not sure your honor. Could I hold off of my answer until later? I would like to hear more from him.” Fang asked.\n\t“I’m sorry Mr. Wolfe, we need a yes or no answer.” The judge replied.\n\t“No. I do not agree with his plea.” Fang replied and looked over at Jag.\n\t“Very well Mr. Wolfe. Please take your seat.” Judge Owl stated.\n\t“I would like to hear the witness statements first. Is Blake Gallo here today?” Judge Owl stated. A short and thin Sloth stood up.\n\t“Y-Yes.” Blake replied.\n\t“Come up to the stand please.” The judge commanded. They watched as he moved through the seating and through the double push half-door partition. He sat down at the witness stand.\n\t“State your full name for the court please.” Judge Owl stated.\n\t“Blake Gallo.” He replied.\n\t“Where were you at during the fight?” Judge Owl asked.\n\t“At my locker. It’s right next to Fang’s locker.” Blake replied.\n\t“Did you see the entire incident?” Judge Owl asked.\n\t“Yes. From the beginning. Everything. All the. All of the blood. Just. Everywhere.” Blake replied.\n\t“Could you tell the court everything that happened from the beginning please?” Judge Owl asked.\n\t“I got to my locker and said hi to Fang. I unlocked my locker and maybe five seconds later the locker shook and a loud bang happened. I jumped back and saw a tiger holding Fang by his neck against the lockers. He said something, the tiger, but I was scared and didn’t hear it all. After maybe ten seconds the tiger punched Fang. Hard. I heard a loud crack. Fang started gasping for air. Then the tiger just threw Fang across the hall into the lockers on the other side. The tiger walked over while Fang stood up. I think Fang was holding his chest. The tiger picked him back up, they said a few more things and then the tiger swiped at Fang’s stomach and blood started pouring out. He fell to his feet and held his stomach. He tried to defend himself, Fang did. But the tiger picked him up and body slammed him to the floor. A few punches. Then another claw swipe. It tore into Fang’s chest. Then Vapor Wolfe, Fang’s mate, rushed in and seen it. He swiped again and more blood spattered. Vapor ran up and just jumped on him. She sunk her teeth into his neck, pulled back and took fur. She pushed off and sent the tiger tumbling. Vapor rushed over to Fang and held him. Trying to stop the bleeding. She fumbled with her cellphone and got 911. She was frantic trying to explain everything. After a bit she dropped her phone. It was covered in blood. The nurse finally arrived and they tried to help Fang. Maybe ten seconds after that a horse, I think his name is Jaden, pushed through and started helping. Vapor yelled at Fang to stay. Then she crumpled over him. Just hugging. He wasn’t moving. No movement at all. I couldn’t do anything but stand there. The paramedics arrived minutes later. They picked him up and rushed him down the hall. Vapor followed behind them. She was running. Bloody. Crying. I shut my locker and theirs and then vomited. I was taken to the nurses office. I was picked up by my mom and sent home for a week to recover. That’s everything that I can remember.” Blake explained.\n\t“Very good Mr. Gallo. You can step down and take your seat again. Is Miss Rowley here?” Judge Owl stated.\n\n\tOver the next four hours Fang, Vapor and the six classmates, two teachers and the nurse retold their statements of what took place before, during and after the fight. Jag took over an hour just to tell his history of abuse dating back to when he was just a two year old cub.\n\n\t“We'll reconvene tomorrow at nine AM with my verdict.” The judge stated and slammed the gavel down on the desk.\n\n\tJudge Owl stood up and left the courtroom. Fang, Vapor and Willow exited the courtroom while police escorted Jag back to a holding cell.\n\n***\n\n\tThe next morning the judge sat in front of the courtroom. \n\n\t“Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Tiger, please stand for my verdict.” Judge Owl stated.\n\n\tBoth stood up along with their lawyers.\n\n\t“Mr. Tiger do you have anything to say before I give my verdict?”\n\t“Yes I do.” Jag replied.\n\t“Speak.” Judge Owl called out.\n\t“Fang, I’m truly sorry that I hurt you. I know nothing that I say can make up for the pain and suffering that I caused you and your family. I hope at some point you can forgive me. Whatever the verdict is I hope that I can overcome my issues. You have a nice family it seems. Please take care of them, love them and support them. That is all Your Honor.” Jag spoke deeply.\n\t“Very well. Mr. Wolfe do you have anything to say?” Judge Owl asked.\n\t“Take care Jag. Good luck. That is all Your Honor.” Fang spoke.\n\t“Very well. Mr. Tiger. Due to your past violent behavior and the attempted murder of Mr. Wolfe, I sentence you to Juvenal detention until you turn eighteen. Upon turning eighteen you will be transported to state prison to serve five consecutive sentences of thirty years each. You will have to pay five hundred thousand dollars in restitution to Mr. Wolfe and his family. Along with fifty thousand dollars to all who testified against you in this hearing.” Judge Owl spoke reaching for his gavel.\n\t\"NOOOOO!!!\" Jag roared. Jag stood there with his mouth opened, tears formed and started pouring down his face. He fell backwards into the chair. He placed his head in his paws and cried loudly. His lawyer patted his shoulder.\n\t“Your Honor!” Fang interrupted. “I’m sorry for interrupting, may I speak with you privately, please?” Fang asked, begging the judge.\n\t“It’s unorthodox, but I’ll allow it. Please step up.” Judge Owl spoke with an irritated tone.\n\t\"FANG?\" Vapor shouted out and jumped up. Willow pulled her back down and whispered to her.\n\n\tFang walked up to the Judges stand and they both whispered to each other for over ten minutes.\n\n\t“Are you sure about this Mr. Wolfe? I don't like it.” Judge Owl asked.\n\t“I am Your Honor. I feel like it would be a good compromise.” Fang replied.\n\t“Very well. Please return back to your seat Mr. Wolfe.” Judge Owl commanded.\n\t“Well, Mr. Tiger. Seems like Mr. Wolfe sees something in you that I don’t. I retract my previous verdict and replace it with the following.” Judge Owl stated and paused for a moment.\n\t“Mr. Tiger, by request of Mr. Wolfe, I sentence you to Juvenal detention until you turn eighteen. If you have good behavior with no more than one altercation started by you during that time, you finish and pass schooling and get your GED, and you are found mentally fit for society, you will be free to walk. However, if during that time you get into more than one altercation not started by others you will be transported to state prison to serve the five consecutive sentences of thirty years each. Why Fang?” Jag asked in his confusion and still crying.\n\t“Jag, you’ve had a bad life and crappy parents. Why should I hold a grudge against you for that? It only complicates things further down the line. Plus, what would life be behind bars? Not being able to start a family, not being able to make friends and be around friends or loved ones? Life passing you by in a cell surrounded by concrete and metal bars. I won't let that happen, not this time anyway.” Fang explained.\n\t“Oh okay.” Jag replied and looked down at the table in front of him.\n\t“Jag. I’ve given you second chance. Don’t waste this opportunity. It’ll be the only one that you have. Maybe I’ll be able to shake your paw in five or six years and we put all this behind us. What do you say?” Fang finished.\n\t“I don’t know what to say. Very few others have even cared what happened to me. I attacked you, nearly killed you and you try to spare me prison. I’ll do my best Fang. Thank You.” Jag replied.\n\n\tA few minutes passed as the judge finished his verdict and statements.\n\n\t“This hearing is completed. The court is adjourned.” Judge Owl stated and then left the room.\n\n\tFang walked over to Jag and extended his arm out. The police became wary and tried to block Fang. Jag pushed his arm past the police and shook Fang’s paw.\n\n\t“Take care Fang. Take care of that family of yours.” Jag stated.\n\t“Don’t be stupid in there.” Fang said and walked back to Vapor and Willow.\n\n\tThe three of them walked out of the courtroom and back to Willow’s car. Vapor stopped Fang and spun him around.\n\n\t“Why Fang? Why did you spare his fucking life? He nearly fucking killed you! WHY?!” Vapor scowled.\n\t“It’s like I said. Why hold a grudge? Yeah, he nearly killed me, but he was raised with bad parents and had lots of violence in his life. His father nor mother wasn’t even here for the case or verdict. Maybe five years will help him rehabilitate.” Fang replied.\n\t“But what if he does get out on good behavior, only pretending to be rehabilitated? What if he comes back after you, me, your mom, or our kids?” Vapor asked.\n\t“He won’t. I could sense that he wanted to change and that he really did feel bad for what he did to me… to us. He wasn’t sound of mind that day. The hospital documents proved he was drugged up.” Fang replied.\n\t“I hope you’re right Fang.” Willow commented.\n\t“Me too.” Fang said quietly under his breath.\n\n\tFang leaned over and gave Vapor a kiss on her muzzle to reassure her. \t“All rise for the Honorable Judge Owl.” The bailiff commanded loudly.

\tFang stood up on the left side of the courtroom. Jag Tiger stood up on the right side of the courtroom, cuffs on his ankles and wrists attached to a waist chain. The ankle cuffs were on a short heavy chain locked into a bolt in the floor. He stood there in a bright orange jumpsuit. Willow and Vapor stood up in front of a bench directly behind Fang. Six classmates, two teachers and the nurse stood in front of benches out in the crowd behind the partition wall. Both Fang's and Jag's lawyers both stood.

\tThe judge entered the room and took his seat.

\t“Everyone may sit now.” The judge stated.

\tThe judge looked through a folder that he carried in with him. After a few moments of silence he spoke loudly.

\t“Mr. Tiger, you stand before this court with the following charges. Aggravated Malicious Wounding in the first degree. Battery in the second degree. Attempted murder in the first degree. Brutality of a minor in the first degree. Violent actions within a school building in the first degree. Verbal Assault in the second degree. Each charge carries a twenty years to life sentence. Mr. Tiger, please stand and tell the court, how do you plead?” Judge Owl stated.
\t“I understand the charges. I plea not guilty due to physical, emotional and sexual abuse and forced to take drugs by my parents. Forced drugs were cocaine and heroin.” Jag spoke.
\t“Very well Mr. Tiger. Please take your seat.” Judge Owl stated.
\t“Mr. Wolfe please stand. Do you agree with his plea?” Judge Owl asked.
\t“I’m not sure your honor. Could I hold off of my answer until later? I would like to hear more from him.” Fang asked.
\t“I’m sorry Mr. Wolfe, we need a yes or no answer.” The judge replied.
\t“No. I do not agree with his plea.” Fang replied and looked over at Jag.
\t“Very well Mr. Wolfe. Please take your seat.” Judge Owl stated.
\t“I would like to hear the witness statements first. Is Blake Gallo here today?” Judge Owl stated. A short and thin Sloth stood up.
\t“Y-Yes.” Blake replied.
\t“Come up to the stand please.” The judge commanded. They watched as he moved through the seating and through the double push half-door partition. He sat down at the witness stand.
\t“State your full name for the court please.” Judge Owl stated.
\t“Blake Gallo.” He replied.
\t“Where were you at during the fight?” Judge Owl asked.
\t“At my locker. It’s right next to Fang’s locker.” Blake replied.
\t“Did you see the entire incident?” Judge Owl asked.
\t“Yes. From the beginning. Everything. All the. All of the blood. Just. Everywhere.” Blake replied.
\t“Could you tell the court everything that happened from the beginning please?” Judge Owl asked.
\t“I got to my locker and said hi to Fang. I unlocked my locker and maybe five seconds later the locker shook and a loud bang happened. I jumped back and saw a tiger holding Fang by his neck against the lockers. He said something, the tiger, but I was scared and didn’t hear it all. After maybe ten seconds the tiger punched Fang. Hard. I heard a loud crack. Fang started gasping for air. Then the tiger just threw Fang across the hall into the lockers on the other side. The tiger walked over while Fang stood up. I think Fang was holding his chest. The tiger picked him back up, they said a few more things and then the tiger swiped at Fang’s stomach and blood started pouring out. He fell to his feet and held his stomach. He tried to defend himself, Fang did. But the tiger picked him up and body slammed him to the floor. A few punches. Then another claw swipe. It tore into Fang’s chest. Then Vapor Wolfe, Fang’s mate, rushed in and seen it. He swiped again and more blood spattered. Vapor ran up and just jumped on him. She sunk her teeth into his neck, pulled back and took fur. She pushed off and sent the tiger tumbling. Vapor rushed over to Fang and held him. Trying to stop the bleeding. She fumbled with her cellphone and got 911. She was frantic trying to explain everything. After a bit she dropped her phone. It was covered in blood. The nurse finally arrived and they tried to help Fang. Maybe ten seconds after that a horse, I think his name is Jaden, pushed through and started helping. Vapor yelled at Fang to stay. Then she crumpled over him. Just hugging. He wasn’t moving. No movement at all. I couldn’t do anything but stand there. The paramedics arrived minutes later. They picked him up and rushed him down the hall. Vapor followed behind them. She was running. Bloody. Crying. I shut my locker and theirs and then vomited. I was taken to the nurses office. I was picked up by my mom and sent home for a week to recover. That’s everything that I can remember.” Blake explained.
\t“Very good Mr. Gallo. You can step down and take your seat again. Is Miss Rowley here?” Judge Owl stated.

\tOver the next four hours Fang, Vapor and the six classmates, two teachers and the nurse retold their statements of what took place before, during and after the fight. Jag took over an hour just to tell his history of abuse dating back to when he was just a two year old cub.

\t“We'll reconvene tomorrow at nine AM with my verdict.” The judge stated and slammed the gavel down on the desk.

\tJudge Owl stood up and left the courtroom. Fang, Vapor and Willow exited the courtroom while police escorted Jag back to a holding cell.

\tThe next morning the judge sat in front of the courtroom.

\t“Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Tiger, please stand for my verdict.” Judge Owl stated.

\tBoth stood up along with their lawyers.

\t“Mr. Tiger do you have anything to say before I give my verdict?”
\t“Yes I do.” Jag replied.
\t“Speak.” Judge Owl called out.
\t“Fang, I’m truly sorry that I hurt you. I know nothing that I say can make up for the pain and suffering that I caused you and your family. I hope at some point you can forgive me. Whatever the verdict is I hope that I can overcome my issues. You have a nice family it seems. Please take care of them, love them and support them. That is all Your Honor.” Jag spoke deeply.
\t“Very well. Mr. Wolfe do you have anything to say?” Judge Owl asked.
\t“Take care Jag. Good luck. That is all Your Honor.” Fang spoke.
\t“Very well. Mr. Tiger. Due to your past violent behavior and the attempted murder of Mr. Wolfe, I sentence you to Juvenal detention until you turn eighteen. Upon turning eighteen you will be transported to state prison to serve five consecutive sentences of thirty years each. You will have to pay five hundred thousand dollars in restitution to Mr. Wolfe and his family. Along with fifty thousand dollars to all who testified against you in this hearing.” Judge Owl spoke reaching for his gavel.
\t"NOOOOO!!!" Jag roared. Jag stood there with his mouth opened, tears formed and started pouring down his face. He fell backwards into the chair. He placed his head in his paws and cried loudly. His lawyer patted his shoulder.
\t“Your Honor!” Fang interrupted. “I’m sorry for interrupting, may I speak with you privately, please?” Fang asked, begging the judge.
\t“It’s unorthodox, but I’ll allow it. Please step up.” Judge Owl spoke with an irritated tone.
\t"FANG?" Vapor shouted out and jumped up. Willow pulled her back down and whispered to her.

\tFang walked up to the Judges stand and they both whispered to each other for over ten minutes.

\t“Are you sure about this Mr. Wolfe? I don't like it.” Judge Owl asked.
\t“I am Your Honor. I feel like it would be a good compromise.” Fang replied.
\t“Very well. Please return back to your seat Mr. Wolfe.” Judge Owl commanded.
\t“Well, Mr. Tiger. Seems like Mr. Wolfe sees something in you that I don’t. I retract my previous verdict and replace it with the following.” Judge Owl stated and paused for a moment.
\t“Mr. Tiger, by request of Mr. Wolfe, I sentence you to Juvenal detention until you turn eighteen. If you have good behavior with no more than one altercation started by you during that time, you finish and pass schooling and get your GED, and you are found mentally fit for society, you will be free to walk. However, if during that time you get into more than one altercation not started by others you will be transported to state prison to serve the five consecutive sentences of thirty years each.
