I'm sorry if it's not as good as my others.","writing":"Monday, February 26, 2018\n\n\t“Daddy pway outside pwease!” Onai said as he hopped up and down in front of his dad sitting on the couch. It had snowed overnight and school was canceled due to the two feet of snowfall. With the fresh snow on the ground Willow, Onai, Luna, Vapor, Shade and Pepper were outside playing in the snow.\n\t“Not right now buddy, maybe later okay?” Fang said and smiled at the three year old cub.\n\t“Pwease daddy?” Onai said as his tail stopped swaying.\n\t“In a little bit Onai. I want to watch this show,” Fang replied.\n\t“Okay,” Onai replied sadly and walked away slowly back outside.\n\n\tA moment later the door opened up, Onai and Luna stepped in.\n\n\t“DADDY!” Both twins shouted loudly.\n\t“What?” Fang asked and turned his head. Almost instantly he was hit with two snowballs in the face. The two twins laughed and rushed outside. Fang stood up and wiped the snow off his face and growled. He rushed up to the door and outside, instantly getting bombarded with multiple snowballs to his face and chest. Willow laughed out loud as she and the others started to make more. Fang ducked down behind a bench and started to pack his own. He pulled his head up above the bench, a snowball flew past and hit the window behind him. Onai giggled and picked up another snowball. Fang tossed his snowball nailing Vapor in her chest.\n\t“Fang! How dare you hit a lady!” Vapor scowled then laughed.\n\t“Lady? I see no ladies out there!” Fang shouted out.\n\t“EXCUSE ME YOUNG CUB?” Willow scowled loudly.\n\t“You heard me you old hag!” Fang said and laughed.\n\t“You’re ground young cub! Go to your room!” Willow replied.\n\t“HAHAHA! Not getting me that easily!” Fang replied and chucked another snowball out at his family. He peered over the bench and railing to see Shade knocking the snow off his coat. Four snowballs flew through the air, one of them hitting Fang in the head.\n\t“Stop being a pussy cat and get out here and fight like a real wolf!” Pepper shouted. Fang stood up and rushed off the porch with two snowballs in his paw. He tossed one missing his sister, Pepper, by just inches. The next one found it’s mark, Luna fell backwards into a snow drift.\n\t“LUNA! NOOOOO!” Onai shouted and rushed up to her. He took her paw and helped her stand up. They turned around and growled, tiny little growls. They picked up snowballs and tossed them at their dad, but they landed many feet away. Vapor chucked a snowball with all of her strength and hit Fang in his face.\n\t“Ow, that really hurts. Don’t pack them so much,” Fang shouted and tossed another one. Missing everyone. Luna and Onai huddled up and quietly talked to each other as snowballs flew around them. They pulled out of their slight hug and giggled. They took two snowballs each and rushed their dad. They tossed their first snowballs, Onai missed while Luna pegged her dad in the groin. He fell to the ground in a grunt. They both ran up to him and tossed their last snowballs at him, pegging him in his chest. They giggled and ran back to Willow. Vapor rushed over to Fang and stood next to him.\n\t“Are. Are you okay Fang?” She asked. He looked up at her.\n\t“Y-yeah. I’m fine,” he said and sat up. She took his paw and pulled him up. He looked over at the two who had split up. Luna hid behind her grandmother’s leg while Onai hid behind Pepper. Fang picked up two snowballs and tossed one at Onai and missed him hitting Pepper in her leg. He looked over at Luna and his mom.\n\t“I dare you Fang!” Willow shouted. Fang looked over at Vapor who was already packing more snowballs for the both of them.\n\t“I love you Vapor. Take care of my cubs,” he said. She looked at him.\n\t“Fang, don’t you dare!” Vapor said. He pulled his arm back and threw it forwards. Everyone watched as the snowball flew through the air towards his mom. At the last second she stepped out of the way.\n\t“Sweetie, you’re too slow!” Willow said and laughed. She quickly threw her snowball and hit Fang directly in the forehead.\n\t“How do you throw so fast?” Fang asked loudly.\n\t“Practice baby, I had to keep up with you as a pup,” Willow replied. As they continued their snowball fight Laika’s voice cracked over the monitor speaker on Vapor’s belt. She rushed inside to care for Laika. Outside Abby walked up to everyone and watched as the snowballs flew. She was heavily bundled up. Instead of her thin legs, there was six inches of layers, the top layer being sub-zero arctic snow pants in pink and purple designs. She wore just as much for sweaters and a thick sub-zero arctic snow coat on the outside. Fang looked over at her and smiled then waved.\n\t“Hiya Abby!” He shouted as he got pelted with a few snowballs.\n\t“Hi mang!” She said through the layers of scarves covering her neck and face. Being a Green Iguana, she wasn’t fond of cold, in fact it could kill her easily if she wasn’t careful. Before anyone could say anything else to her, a snowball flew through the air and hit her directly in the face. Onai burst out laughing as well as Fang.\n\t“Onai! Don’t hit Abby with snow,” Willow said to him. Abby pulled the two scarves off and shook them off.\n\t“He’s okay Willow. I’m okay for about ten minutes, with all of these layers,” Abby replied.\n\t“Okay, but I don’t want you getting sick sweetie,” Willow replied then hugged her.\n\t“Oh wow, Abby, so many layers!” Willow said and chuckled. Abby moved her head and looked over at Onai who was still laughing. She flicked her tongue and rushed up to him, who yelled and started to run away. Pepper and Shade took this time to lunge snowballs at Fang and Willow, hitting them both. Luna rushed up behind Abby who was still chasing Onai, she jumped and caught onto Abby’s legs and climbed her way up and hung onto Abby’s neck.\n\t“Hi Abby,” Luna stated.\n\t“Hi there,” Abby replied as she caught Onai. She held the three year old wolf pup up and smiled.\n\t“So you think you can just hit me with a snowball and get away with it?” Abby asked then smiled evilly.\n\t“YES!” Onai shouted.\n\t“Okay, you’re right. You’re too cute to get revenge on,” Abby replied and smiled. He held his arms out towards her, she pulled her arms close to her as possible. He jumped to her neck and hugged her.\n\t“Happy see you today,” Onai said.\n\t“You too Onai and Luna too,” she replied. She turned around just in time for a snowball to hit the side of her head. She darted around and glared at Fang.\n\t“Excuse me cubs, I have to beat your daddy now,” she replied. The two of them released their grips and dropped to the snow. They watched as Abby tried running behind Fang. However being in so many layers of clothing she didn’t have her normal maneuverability. He ran circles around her, literal circles. He forgot about one thing though, her tail. Although it was thickly wrapped in many layers she swiped it at him, knocking him to the ground.\n\t“Gotcha!” Abby replied and smiled.\n\t“Okay. Okay. You got me!” Fang replied. Abby gave him a paw and helped him up. As Fang stood up Vapor walked out of the door with Laika in her arms.\n\t“VAPOR! Get her back inside at once!” Willow scowled.\n\t“I was just going to say that I made everyone hot chocolate!” Vapor said and then went back inside. Laika has a cold and was on medicine to help get over it. Luckily it wasn’t the flu. Everyone walked up to the walkway to the stairs. Luna stepped up next to her dad, who picked her up.\n\t“Love you sweetie,” Fang said.\n\t“Love you too daddy,” she replied.\n\t“This is for hitting me in my balls with a snowball,” he said and waited for her reply.\n\t“What?” Luna asked. She yelled as she was tossed into a large snow drift and quickly sunk into it. Fang laughed as he pulled her out.\n\t“DADDY!” She cried out as snow filled her jacket and pants.\n\t“Love you sweetie!” He replied as he held her to his body. She tightened her hug around his neck and watched as her grandmother waved and smiled at her. They stepped into the house and Fang sat her down and unzipped her jacket. A few pounds of snow fell out onto the floor.\n\t“In pants too daddy!” She replied. He picked her up and moved her away from the door so others could get in and her away from the cold air. He unbuttoned and unzipped her snow pants then pulled them down, revealing her diaper with snow sitting at the top of it.\n\t“Onai go get your sister a diaper please,” Fang said. Onai rushed upstairs and came back a few moments later with a diaper and wipes.\n\t“We need to get you fully potty trained Luna,” he said and smiled.\n\t“I wike diapers dough,” Luna replied as her dad wiped her groin clean of urine and melted snow. He put the fresh diaper on her and taped the sides. He stood her up and patted her on her rear. She laughed then hugged him. He watched her rush into the kitchen with her tail flowing behind her. In the kitchen almost everyone else was standing or sitting. Willow walked out of the living room and sat down next to Fang, with a cup of hot chocolate in her paws.\n\t“Fang, you know she might have the same issue as you do with your bladder valve,” Willow said then took a sip of the hot chocolate.\n\t“I know mom. I hope not though,” he replied and looked over at her. He stood up and taped the wet diaper closed.\n\t“Onai still wears them for her, so she doesn’t feel bad about it,” Willow stated.\n\t“I know that too mom,” he replied and smiled at her. \n\t“You should take her to the doctors and have them run tests on her for the bladder valve,” she replied.\n\t“Mom, give her time. If she’s not able to hold her pee by five years old then we will,” he replied.\n\t“Okay Fang, I just don’t want you or Vapor to be worried about it, or me for that fact,” she replied.\n\t“We’re not worried about it. She’ll be fine mom, she’s only three. I was still peeing in diapers at three, remember?” Fang replied.\n\t“I know sweetie,” she replied. Fang smiled at her then walked to the kitchen and tossed the diaper into the trashcan. He took the last cup of hot chocolate. Vapor walked up to him and kissed his muzzle.\n\t“I’m happy that you came out and played with us all,” she said.\n\t“Blame our cubs for throwing snowballs at me in the house,” he replied and smiled at the two.\n\t“Speaking of that. Fang, you have two puddles to clean up, at the door and the couch and coffee table,” Willow said as she walked in.\n\n\tAs Willow sat her cup on the table as the phone started ringing. She picked it up and listened to the voice then hung up half a minute later.\n\n\t“School is canceled for the rest of the week. We’re getting another severe snow storm tonight. Supposed to drop up to another two to four feet of snow,” Willow stated.\n\t“YAY!” Fang, Vapor, Pepper and Shade cheered.\n\n\tWillow walked into the living room and turned on the news. Five minutes later she walked back into the kitchen.\n\n\t“There are multiple lines of storms behind the one tonight. They’re calling for the entire week to be nothing but snow storms.\n\t“That’s not good,” Abby stated.\n\t“Fang and Vapor, I need help with getting extra groceries. We leave in an hour. Abby would you mind cubsitting for a bit?” Willow stated.\n\t“Sure. I’m not going anywhere in this cold,” Abby replied.\n\t“Thank you,” Willow replied.\n\n\tA few hours later Willow, Fang and Vapor stepped back into the house carrying boxes and bags of food. Their coats and heads were covered in snow.\n\n\t“Abby, I want you to get back home before this gets any worse,” Willow stated as she sat a box on the counter.\n\t“My parent’s aren’t at home, they’re out of state for business. Do you mind if I stay here?” Abby asked.\n\t“Ah yes, I forgot about that, I’m sorry. Stay as long as you wish sweetie. Fang can help you get any clothing you need from your house,” Willow replied.\n\t“Thank you Willow,” Abby replied as she moved up to the boxes and started putting the frozen food up. Fang and Willow made another four trips out to the car bringing in food, water and supplies for the impending snow storms.\n\n\tThe sky turned dark as day turned to night as the snow storm continued to rage outside. The lights flicked on and off many times per hour but hadn’t went out, yet. Vapor was upstairs tending to Laika and her cold, while Fang gave Onai and Luna their bath for the night. Pepper and Shade was taking a bath as well in the bathroom next to her bedroom. Out of nowhere a loud crack of thunder sounded out and the sky turned bright white for just a couple of seconds. As a second crack of thunder sounded the lights went out. Due to the storm Willow had warned everyone to keep the doors open in case they had to leave quickly. Willow walked up the stairs carefully in the dark.\n\t“No one move! I’ll get you all flashlights,” Willow shouted out.\n\t“We’re fine Willow, we have a few in our room,” Vapor replied stepping out of the bedroom with a light guiding her way to the stairs.\n\t“Pepper, Shade, you both okay?” Willow asked.\n\t“Yeah mom,” Pepper replied. Vapor walked up to Willow and smiled at her.\n\t“Why you smiling?” Willow asked.\n\t“No reason. Just something interesting finally happening,” Vapor replied.\n\t“You won’t be saying that if our frozen food or the extra milk ruins,” Willow replied.\n\t“I didn’t mean it like that,” Vapor replied.\n\t“I know you didn’t, just be careful what you wish for sweetie,” Willow replied.\n\t“I’ll go and help Pepper and Shade, we’ll see you downstairs,” Vapor said.\n\t“Be careful on the stairs please. There’s no way for us to get out or emergency services to reach us,” Willow replied.\n\t“We’ll be careful,” Vapor replied with a smile.\n\n\tVapor walked into the bathroom and shone the light at the tub. Pepper and Shade were sitting close to each other, they were kissing in the hot water.\n\t“Okay you two, I know it’s a sexy atmosphere, but this isn’t the time for making out. Get up and get dried off,” Vapor stated.\n\t“V-Vapor!” Pepper cried out.\n\t“Come on. Stand up and get dried off. I’ll sit here so you both have a light,” Vapor stated. She watched as the two of them stood up and took a towel. Pepper pulled the plug to drain the water. Shade stepped out of the tub and started drying off. Vapor lowered the light just a little bit.\n\t“That’s going to suck,” Vapor stated.\n\t“Yeah,” Shade replied turning red as his penis stood tall.\n\t“Vapor! Stop that!” Pepper scowled.\n\t“I’m sorry. Otter penises are interestingly shaped,” Vapor replied.\n\t“Still, stop it. That’s my penis!” Pepper replied and stood in front of him.\n\t“You know I mean nothing by it Pepper,” Vapor said and smiled.\n\n\tFang walked into the bathroom a moment later holding Luna’s and Onai’s paw, his flashlight clipped to his pants and shining down to the floor.\n\n\t“You three almost done?” Fang asked.\n\t“Yeah, we’re just about done drying my tail,” Pepper replied.\n\t“Okay. You two have clothes in here?” Fang asked.\n\t“Yes,” Pepper replied.\n\t“Okay, I’ll wait for all of you downstairs. Vapor make sure to bring Laika downstairs. We shouldn’t let her be up here alone,” Fang stated.\n\t“I was going to get her before we headed down,” Vapor replied.\n\n\tDownstairs in the living room sat Abby and the two elderly couple that lived at the end of the road. Willow had urged them to stay with them until the storms passed. They reluctantly agreed just an hour before the storm worsened. Willow with Abby’s and Fang’s help pulled down a couple twin sized beds from the attic and sat them up in the living room for the two elderly frogs.\n\t“Hello Mr. and Mrs. Lasserre,” Fang said to the two elderly frogs\n\t“Hello Fang,” they replied.\n\t“How are you two doing?” He asked.\n\t“We’re good,” Mr. Lasserre replied.\n\t“Good to hear that. If either of you need anything just ask. Okay?” Fang stated.\n\t“Of course Fang,” Mrs. Lasserre replied.\n\n\t“Fang go into the garage and get those two large insulated coolers and bring them in please,” Willow stated. He entered the garage he breathed out and saw his breath in the air, as it was nearing freezing. He looked around and found the coolers sitting under some wall shelves. He grabbed them and drug them inside. Willow directed him to the kitchen with them and they cleaned them of the dust.\n\n\t“Step out on the back porch and fill them half way with snow please,” Willow said.\n\t“Why?” Fang asked.\n\t“So we can put our frozen food into them,” she replied.\n\t“Oh, that’s smart,” he replied.\n\t“Yes, now go,” she replied.\n\n\tFang and Willow stepped up to the door and he opened it. Cold wind blew through the house, he stepped out and closed the door. It took him a few minutes to fill them. He climbed over them and opened the door and quickly drug them back inside and shut the door.\n\t“Damn it’s cold out there,” he said and rubbed his shoulders.\n\t“Pull them into the kitchen then go warm up in front of the fireplace,” Willow told him.\n\n***\n\n\tThe next morning they all started to wake up, the fire was already stoked. The sun barely shining through the snow covered windows. Fang changed Laika while Vapor changed Luna. Abby was still asleep in front of the fireplace. Pepper and Shade were still asleep, both of them snuggled together under two blankets. Fang walked up to the front window and stood on the two seat couch and looked over the snow drift on the window. Snow covered their front porch which stood three feet off the ground. He walked up to the door and started to open it. Willow yelled it name but it was too late. The door flung open and snow poured in.\n\t“Dammit Fang,” Willow replied and rubbed her nasal bridge. Cold air poured into the house instantly cooling it down. He pushed at the door and finally got it shut. Willow walked up to him with the broom and dust pan and a mop.\n\t“Get busy cleaning this up,” she stated.\n\t“Sorry,” he replied.\n\n\tThe door was blocked by nearly three of snow. Luckily for Fang only a small bit fell into the house. As he was cleaning it up Abby woke up and shivered. Willow tossed her a thick plush blanket. She wrapped herself in it and sat a few feet away from the fire. The electricity was still off. Willow walked up to the Lasserre’s and handed them both a cup of coffee she made over the fire.\n\t“Thank you hon,” Mrs. Lasserre said.\n\t“How did you two sleep last night?” Willow asked.\n\t“Slept well, wasn’t cold at all,” they both replied in their own words.\n\t“Good to hear,” Willow replied.\n\n\tWillow looked over at Fang as a gust of cold wind blew into the house. He pushed the snow drift away from the door as much as he could and looked over it.\n\t“Jeez, our mailbox is covered up,” he said.\n\t“Fang! Shut the door, he have amphibians and a reptile in here. They need the warmth to stay alive,” Willow scowled at him. He frowned and shut the door.\n\t“Sorry, I was just curious,” Fang said as he rolled up a snowball. He waited for his mom to sat her coffee on the table. A moment passed and he released it from his paw. It went flying through the air and pegged her in the shoulder.\n\t“Fang boy, I’m going to beat your butt!” She scowled at him while he laughed.\n\t“Worth it!” He replied as Luna walked up to him and looked at him.\n\t“Hungry,” she said.\n\t“Yeah me too baby,” he replied. He squatted down and picked her up and carried her back over to the couch.\n\t“I’ll cook some food in a few minutes, I want to finish my coffee first though,” Willow stated glaring at him.\n\t“I’ll do it mom, you relax,” Fang said as he sat Luna on the couch. He walked around the couch and into the kitchen. He returned a few minutes later with a dozen eggs, sausage package, a few skillets and other items like spices and utensils. He pulled out the custom fireplace grill that Quill had made a few years back. He sliced the sausage into thin pieces and put them into one of the skillets. As the sausage started to sizzle he cracked the eggs into a bowl and scrambled them adding salt and pepper. He sat them to the side and grabbed a bell pepper and onion and sliced them into small pieces and dumped them into a bowl. He pulled off the sausage and sliced all of the pieces into small squares. He mixed the sausage with the veggie mix and dumped it into the skillet again. He moved the eggs over the fire and stirred them around. When the eggs were almost finished the dumped them into the other skillet and mixed everything in together. He shook some garlic powder out over everything and stirred the breakfast mix together. After just a few more minutes he moved them off then grabbed the flour tortilla shells and heated them over the fire.\n\n\tFang sat everything on the glass coffee table and folded up a dozen of the breakfast burritos. He handed the Lasserre’s two burritos each on a plate. He got Luna and Onai to sit down and gave them each one. The others came up and took one. Fang walked up to where Shade and Pepper were still sleeping at and pulled the blankets off of them.\n\t“WAKE UP!” Fang said loudly. The two of them jerked up and glared at him but soon sniffed at the air. “Breakfast is ready,” he said. It took them a couple of minutes to wake up and get dressed. Fang grabbed two of the burritos and sat down and started eating.\n\n\tAfter eating Mr. Lasserre walked over to a table and picked up their medicine bag and moved back over to the couch. Fang watched as he pulled out a couple dozen medicine bottles and looked at each of them.\n\t“Damn, I’m missing one of my pills,” Mr. Lasserre stated.\n\t“How important is it?” Fang asked.\n\t“Kind of important. I could go a day without it but,” he replied being cut off by Willow\n\t“Fang is more than willing to trudge through the snow to get it for you,” Willow stated.\n\t“Yeah, I can do that,” Fang replied.\n\t“I don’t want to trouble you Fang,” Mr. Lasserre replied.\n\t“No trouble at all. I want to see the amount of snow anyway,” Fang replied.\n\t“Okay Fang. The pill is called Apixaban. A-P-I-X-A-B-A-N. It’s in a box in our bathroom’s medicine cabinet,” Mr. Lasserre said.\n\t“Okay, I’ll get it after I finish eating,” Fang replied.\n\t“Thank you,” he replied.\n\t“That pill is pretty important, it’s an anti blood clotting medicine right?” Willow asked.\n\t“Yes it is. I guess we just rushed to get over here that I forgot it. I’m sorry,” Mr. Lasserre replied.\n\t“No worries, at least it’s only like 200 feet trek and not miles away. Lucky for Fang that is,” Willow replied.\n\n\tFang stood at his bedroom window with Willow and Vapor next to him. Since the door and porch was pretty much covered in snow he would have to go out of the window and drop down onto the garage roof and then down the ladder on the back. Fang held the keys to the Lasserre’s house in his paw while Vapor zipped up his coat.\n\t“Fang, I want you to wear your snow shoes while your going. I know you don’t like too but it’ll be better if you do,” Willow stated.\t\n\t“Okay,” he sighed. After he slipped them on and tied them he kicked his hindpaws in annoyance.\n\t“Be careful Fang, that snow is deeper than you are tall,” Willow replied.\n\t“I’ll be careful. I know my way around here,” he replied.\n\t“Love you Fang,” Vapor said then kissed him.\n\t“Love you too Vapor,” he replied.\n\t“Okay, just hurry back and be careful,” Willow stated.\n\n\tHe opened the window and stepped out onto the short ledge of the house and slowly moved his way to the garage. Willow and Vapor watched as he dropped down and sunk into the snow on the garage roof.\n\n\tHe slowly made his away to the edge of the garage and looked down at the snow below him. He looked back at his window and waved at the two watching him. He sat down and then dropped down to the ledge of the roof. A minute passed without Willow or Vapor seeing any movement. A moment later a sheet of plywood was moved on top of the snow, then another piece was pushed up next to the first piece. The side of the garage side was spared from most of the snow due to the solid fence just two feet away. He climbed the ladder and back onto the roof. He jumped over to the plywood and it sunk into the snow just a little bit. He moved the other piece in front and stepped onto that. He repeated the process for around thirty feet. He sat down and panted from wearing himself out.\n\n\tTwo hours later Fang opened the bedroom window and climbed back in. He walked down the stairs and walked over to everyone.\n\n\t“Took you long enough,” Willow said then pulled him into a hug.\n\t“HEY! It took me forever just to move that plywood that distance than I had to dig down to their door, sorry,” he said and walked up to Mr. Lasserre and handed him the box.\n\t“Is this the correct pills?” Fang asked.\n\t“Yes it is, thank you,” he replied.\n\t“I’m glad it is. That wasn’t an easy adventure. Really fun though,” he replied and laughed. He pulled off his coat and the snow shoes then stood in front of the fireplace. Onai and Luna was sleeping on the floor underneath the coffee table.\n\n\t“How it is outside?” Pepper asked.\n\t“Snow everywhere. In places it’s deeper than I am tall,” Fang replied.\n\t“So about four or five feet?” Pepper asked.\n\t“More like upwards of six feet,” Fang replied.\n\t“Oh okay,” Pepper replied.\n\n\tThe hours passed slowly by for most in the house. Fang was laying on the floor with Luna and Onai climbing on and over him. He looked over at the elderly couple sitting on the couch leaning on each other.\n\n\t“Say, Mr. and Mrs. Lasserre, when you were cubs how did you deal with snow and being stuck indoors for days?” Fang asked.\n\t“Froglets actually, but to answer your question. Where we lived at we never had snow. We lived down in the Amazon jungle. It was lots of rain though. Being frogs we were at home in the rain. On sweltering hot days my siblings and I would have to stay indoors. We just played games. Games like making shapes with our hands and fingers with a flashlight against the wall, we would draw or tell stories to each other. We didn’t have electricity back then,” he explained.\n\t“Huh, interesting. I don’t know if I could handle that,” Fang replied.\n\t“Well, you would since you didn’t know anything about electricity, computers, TV or anything modern. We didn’t even have cars. We walked or hopped everywhere,” Mr. Lasserre replied.\n\t“Yeah I suppose so,” Fang replied.\n\n\tThat night another two feet of snow dropped. Fang and Vapor woke up to see Willow standing at the bay window looking out at nothing but white. The snow was covering the window except the top third.\n\n\t“Morning mom,” he said as they walked up to her.\n\t“Morning you two,” she replied.\n\t“Lots of snow,” Vapor stated.\n\t“Yeah it is. It’s the worst snow storm I’ve ever been in,” Willow replied.\n\t“It’s crazy,” Fang replied.\n\t“Yup,” Willow replied.\n\n\tA couple of hours passed by while everyone sat around in the dark, Luna and Onai was playing on the floor with toys and puzzle before they started playing a board game. After an hour both of them got bored of it. Luna walked up to her dad and frowned.\n\n\t“I’m bored,” Luna said.\n\t“Hi bored, I’m dad,” Fang replied. He grunted as Vapor hit his arm.\n\t“Daddy, I mean it I’m bored!” Luna exclaimed loudly.\n\t“Well, what do you want to do?” Fang asked.\n\t“I wanna go outside,” Luna replied.\n\t“Hahaha, yeah. I think we all want to. Sorry baby but no one can go out, we’re snowed in,” Fang replied.\n\t“I WANNA GO OUT!!!” Luna screamed.\n\t“Hey! No yelling Luna,” Fang scolded her. “There is no way to get outside Luna. I’m sorry,” he added as she started to cry.\n\t“Luna, there’s no point in crying. I want to go outside too but we can’t,” Vapor stated and picked her up.\n\t“Daddy is mean,” Luna stated.\n\t“Daddy’s not mean,” Vapor replied and wiped the tears from Luna’s face.\n\t“AAAAHHHHH!!!” A scream came from upstairs as Vapor comforted Luna in her arms. It was Pepper’s voice. Willow jumped up from the chair and up to the stairs as Pepper stormed down the stairs. She was covered only with a towel.\n\t“What’s wrong Pepper?” Willow exclaimed.\n\t“Water is cold!” Pepper scowled.\n\t“Well yeah, the hot water heater requires electricity to work sweetie,” Willow replied with a chuckle.\n\t“UGH!” Pepper replied and stomped back upstairs. A few minutes later she walked back into the living room and plopped down on the floor next to Shade. He bumped his tail on her back and smiled at her as she looked at him.\n\n\t“Come on I wanna go out,” Luna said picking the subject back up.\n\t“Fine, you want to go out?” Fang asked. He stood up and picked her up. They walked over to the front door and he opened it. Luna shrieked as snow fell into the house. Even though there is a roof covering the porch the snow still piled up against the house.\n\t“See Luna, you can’t go out. No one can,” Fang stated. He stood her on the floor as watched as her tail dropped to the floor and her ears flattened against her head. He squatted down and gave her a kiss.\n\t“We’ll be able to get out soon, I promise,” he said. She looked up at him and gave a slight smile. Fang pushed the door closed and looked at the bit of snow that was still left. He left for the kitchen to get the broom, dustpan and mop.\n\n\tThe day passed by, Willow was sitting in front of the fire cooking dinner for everyone as loud snaps and huge crash sounded outside, shaking the house.\n\n\t“Well, there goes a tree,” Willow stated. Fang rushed upstairs and looked out a window to see one of the trees in the field next to their house was now laying on the ground, snow smashed up from underneath it. He returned back downstairs and sat down when Willow handed him a plate of food.\n\n\t“Yup, it was a tree,” Fang stated.\n\t“That old one that lightning struck last year?” Willow asked.\n\t“Yes,” he replied.\n\t“Figured as much,” she replied.\n\n\tThe following morning Fang woke up to Vapor shaking and calling out his name.\n\t“Fang wake up. The blankets are soaked. Did you pee?” Vapor asked as he sat up.\n\t“No?” He asked confused then finally felt the wetness. In between them Luna was sleeping. Fang checked her and only the outside was wet. He stood up and looked around. Willow walked in carrying the mop and bucket.\n\n\t“Ah good, you’re both awake. Help me clean up the water. The snow is melting and coming in under the doors,” Willow stated. Fang stretched then picked Luna up and sat her next to her brother on one of the beds.\n\n\tAfter mopping up water for nearly two hours Fang groaned out in annoyance. He grabbed the door knob and before Willow could stop him he swung the door open. Snow fell into the house and started to melt. He held his paw up to his mom who was about to say something and turned back around to the door. He dug his way through the snow tossing it away from the door, while the others quickly scooped up the snow and water on the floor. Towels covered the carpet. After a short time Fang closed the door behind him and dug at the snow trying to get it away from the door. He finally made it to the stairs and looked out over the snow covered road. Abby’s house was covered in snow, well about five feet up the wall and the roof was covered in snow nearly two feet deep. Another hour of work and he finally got the snow away from the door so it wouldn’t fall back down and flow into the house. He shivered and walked back in. Willow glared at him for a moment then smiled. He walked over to the fire and stood in front of it as he continued shivering. He looked over at Vapor then sneezed a few times.\n\n\t“You best not be getting sick,” Vapor stated looking over at him.\n\t“If I am, I got it from Laika,” he replied and sat down. Onai and Luna rushed up to him and sat in his lap as he warmed up. Luna took his tail and wrapped it around her even though it was wet and cold. It didn’t matter to her, she loved her fathers long fluffy tail. She smiled and giggled as she gave his tail and hug. He flicked it against her face causing her to giggle louder. He pulled them both into a hug and kissed them both. Luna looked up at him and smiled.\n\n\t“Can we go outside?” Luna asked.\n\t“Not yet baby,” Fang replied.\n\t“But why not?” Onai asked.\n\t“Still too much snow, you’d both be buried alive in it,” Fang replied.\n\t“What about porch dough?” Luna asked.\n\t“Ask your mom,” Fang replied. Both of them leapt up and rushed up to their mom.\n\t“Can we pway on porch?” Onai asked.\n\t“I don’t know. Too much snow and its still really cold,” Vapor replied.\n\t“We been inside for days. We bored,” Luna replied.\n\t“We are all bored Luna. It’ll be just another day okay?” Vapor replied.\n\t“Okay,” both of them replied. They turned around and walked away, both of their tails dragging the floor behind them.\n\n\tAn hour later Fang looked over at the twins and frowned. Both of them were laying on the bed. Luna’s head resting on her brothers stomach. Both of them bored, like everyone else. Luna had her left leg arched, her foot on the bed, her right leg sat on her knee and twitching her right hindpaw in the air. After a few minutes she stopped moving her hindpaw and jumped off the bed and rushed out of the room. She was gone before anyone could ask her what was wrong. Vapor rushed after her only to stop after hearing the bathroom door slamming shut. A few minutes later she returned to see her mom and dad looking at her.\n\n\t“What?” Luna asked.\n\t“Potty?” Vapor asked.\n\t“Yes?” Luna replied confused.\n\t“I’m glad that you’re using the potty instead of the diaper,” Vapor replied.\n\t“Oh okay,” Luna replied. Fang held his paw out for her she rushed up and climbed onto his lap and hugged him.\n\t“Oh I see how you are, daddy’s girl,” Vapor stated. Luna smiled and moved over and hugged her mom as well. Luna pulled out of the hug and looked at both her mom and dad.\n\t“I’m bored,” she said.\n\t“Yes we know. You’ve said that a dozen times already,” Fang replied.\n\t“I wanna play outside,” Luna replied.\n\t“Baby you can’t play outside. We’ve been over this already,” Fang replied.\n\t“Yes we can!” Luna scoffed and crossed her arms.\n\t“Fine, you want to play outside? Go play outside. Stay on the porch though,” Fang replied. Both Onai and Luna cheered joyfully and rushed to the door. They put on their jackets, snowshoes and scarves then opened the door. They stood there looking at a wall of snow blocking the porch stairs. They both stepped backwards and closed the door.\n\t“We can’t pway out there no space,” Onai stated.\n\t“I told you both that you couldn’t do anything outside, there’s too much snow,” Fang replied.\n\t“Why not go play the board game again?” Vapor asked.\n\t“We played that many times dough, we bored of it,” Luna replied and started crying.\n\t“Aww, come on sweetie, lets go lay down and take a nap,” Fang said standing up.\n\t“I not sleepy,” she replied as he picked her up. He carried her upstairs while Onai followed behind. He laid her down on her bed and sat Onai up. He laid down next to them and within minutes Luna was asleep. He carefully got off the bed and left the room. He stopped at Pepper’s room and heard the two inside. He knocked and opened the door to see them quickly covering up. He barely dodged a book as it went flying by his head.\n\t“Get out!” Pepper scowled. He ignored her, picked up the book and tossed it on her desk. He sat on the bed and looked at the two.\n\t“You really shouldn’t be having sex right now, since we have so many neighbors downstairs. You two aren’t quiet when it comes to having sex,” he explained.\n\t“Shut up,” Pepper scowled.\n\t“I don’t mean to embarrass either of you, but it’s the truth. Plus, what if one of you get hurt? There’s no way in hell we’re getting you to the hospital. Not to mention that help wouldn’t be able to get to us. It’s why mom has been very cautious about everything we’ve been doing. It’s why she wouldn’t let any of us cook, except that first morning when I did,” he replied.\n\t“Fine, we won’t but get out and don’t enter my room again without one of us giving you permission,” she replied. Fang smiled and kissed her muzzle then left the room.\n\t“While you’re both up here, listen for Onai and Luna please. They’re sleeping in their room,” Fang stated.\n\t“Okay we will. No leave!” She replied.\n\n\tThe next couple of days they all were stuck in the house as the snow melted. Flooding ensued during the after the snow melt. Low laying areas were affected the most. The houses on their street was mostly fine. \t“Daddy pway outside pwease!” Onai said as he hopped up and down in front of his dad sitting on the couch. It had snowed overnight and school was canceled due to the two feet of snowfall. With the fresh snow on the ground Willow, Onai, Luna, Vapor, Shade and Pepper were outside playing in the snow.
\t“Not right now buddy, maybe later okay?” Fang said and smiled at the three year old cub.
\t“Pwease daddy?” Onai said as his tail stopped swaying.
\t“In a little bit Onai. I want to watch this show,” Fang replied.
\t“Okay,” Onai replied sadly and walked away slowly back outside.
\tA moment later the door opened up, Onai and Luna stepped in.
\t“DADDY!” Both twins shouted loudly.
\t“What?” Fang asked and turned his head. Almost instantly he was hit with two snowballs in the face. The two twins laughed and rushed outside. Fang stood up and wiped the snow off his face and growled. He rushed up to the door and outside, instantly getting bombarded with multiple snowballs to his face and chest. Willow laughed out loud as she and the others started to make more. Fang ducked down behind a bench and started to pack his own. He pulled his head up above the bench, a snowball flew past and hit the window behind him. Onai giggled and picked up another snowball. Fang tossed his snowball nailing Vapor in her chest.
\t“Fang! How dare you hit a lady!” Vapor scowled then laughed.
\t“Lady? I see no ladies out there!” Fang shouted out.
\t“EXCUSE ME YOUNG CUB?” Willow scowled loudly.
\t“You heard me you old hag!” Fang said and laughed.
\t“You’re ground young cub! Go to your room!” Willow replied.
\t“HAHAHA! Not getting me that easily!” Fang replied and chucked another snowball out at his family. He peered over the bench and railing to see Shade knocking the snow off his coat. Four snowballs flew through the air, one of them hitting Fang in the head.
\t“Stop being a pussy cat and get out here and fight like a real wolf!” Pepper shouted. Fang stood up and rushed off the porch with two snowballs in his paw. He tossed one missing his sister, Pepper, by just inches. The next one found it’s mark, Luna fell backwards into a snow drift.
\t“LUNA! NOOOOO!” Onai shouted and rushed up to her. He took her paw and helped her stand up. They turned around and growled, tiny little growls. They picked up snowballs and tossed them at their dad, but they landed many feet away. Vapor chucked a snowball with all of her strength and hit Fang in his face.
\t“Ow, that really hurts. Don’t pack them so much,” Fang shouted and tossed another one. Missing everyone. Luna and Onai huddled up and quietly talked to each other as snowballs flew around them. They pulled out of their slight hug and giggled. They took two snowballs each and rushed their dad. They tossed their first snowballs, Onai missed while Luna pegged her dad in the groin. He fell to the ground in a grunt. They both ran up to him and tossed their last snowballs at him, pegging him in his chest. They giggled and ran back to Willow. Vapor rushed over to Fang and stood next to him.
\t“Are. Are you okay Fang?” She asked. He looked up at her.
\t“Y-yeah. I’m fine,” he said and sat up. She took his paw and pulled him up. He looked over at the two who had split up. Luna hid behind her grandmother’s leg while Onai hid behind Pepper. Fang picked up two snowballs and tossed one at Onai and missed him hitting Pepper in her leg. He looked over at Luna and his mom.
\t“I dare you Fang!” Willow shouted. Fang looked over at Vapor who was already packing more snowballs for the both of them.
\t“I love you Vapor. Take care of my cubs,” he said. She looked at him.
\t“Fang, don’t you dare!” Vapor said. He pulled his arm back and threw it forwards. Everyone watched as the snowball flew through the air towards his mom. At the last second she stepped out of the way.
\t“Sweetie, you’re too slow!” Willow said and laughed. She quickly threw her snowball and hit Fang directly in the forehead.
\t“How do you throw so fast?” Fang asked loudly.
\t“Practice baby, I had to keep up with you as a pup,” Willow replied. As they continued their snowball fight Laika’s voice cracked over the monitor speaker on Vapor’s belt. She rushed inside to care for Laika. Outside Abby walked up to everyone and watched as the snowballs flew. She was heavily bundled up. Instead of her thin legs, there was six inches of layers, the top layer being sub-zero arctic snow pants in pink and purple designs. She wore just as much for sweaters and a thick sub-zero arctic snow coat on the outside. Fang looked over at her and smiled then waved.
\t“Hiya Abby!” He shouted as he got pelted with a few snowballs.
\t“Hi mang!” She said through the layers of scarves covering her neck and face. Being a Green Iguana, she wasn’t fond of cold, in fact it could kill her easily if she wasn’t careful. Before anyone could say anything else to her, a snowball flew through the air and hit her directly in the face. Onai burst out laughing as well as Fang.
\t“Onai! Don’t hit Abby with snow,” Willow said to him. Abby pulled the two scarves off and shook them off.
\t“He’s okay Willow. I’m okay for about ten minutes, with all of these layers,” Abby replied.
\t“Okay, but I don’t want you getting sick sweetie,” Willow replied then hugged her.
\t“Oh wow, Abby, so many layers!” Willow said and chuckled. Abby moved her head and looked over at Onai who was still laughing. She flicked her tongue and rushed up to him, who yelled and started to run away. Pepper and Shade took this time to lunge snowballs at Fang and Willow, hitting them both. Luna rushed up behind Abby who was still chasing Onai, she jumped and caught onto Abby’s legs and climbed her way up and hung onto Abby’s neck.
\t“Hi Abby,” Luna stated.
\t“Hi there,” Abby replied as she caught Onai. She held the three year old wolf pup up and smiled.
\t“So you think you can just hit me with a snowball and get away with it?” Abby asked then smiled evilly.
\t“YES!” Onai shouted.
\t“Okay, you’re right. You’re too cute to get revenge on,” Abby replied and smiled. He held his arms out towards her, she pulled her arms close to her as possible. He jumped to her neck and hugged her.
\t“Happy see you today,” Onai said.
\t“You too Onai and Luna too,” she replied. She turned around just in time for a snowball to hit the side of her head. She darted around and glared at Fang.
\t“Excuse me cubs, I have to beat your daddy now,” she replied. The two of them released their grips and dropped to the snow. They watched as Abby tried running behind Fang. However being in so many layers of clothing she didn’t have her normal maneuverability. He ran circles around her, literal circles. He forgot about one thing though, her tail. Although it was thickly wrapped in many layers she swiped it at him, knocking him to the ground.
\t“Gotcha!” Abby replied and smiled.
\t“Okay. Okay. You got me!” Fang replied. Abby gave him a paw and helped him up. As Fang stood up Vapor walked out of the door with Laika in her arms.
\t“VAPOR! Get her back inside at once!” Willow scowled.
\t“I was just going to say that I made everyone hot chocolate!” Vapor said and then went back inside. Laika has a cold and was on medicine to help get over it. Luckily it wasn’t the flu. Everyone walked up to the walkway to the stairs. Luna stepped up next to her dad, who picked her up.
\t“Love you sweetie,” Fang said.
\t“Love you too daddy,” she replied.
\t“This is for hitting me in my balls with a snowball,” he said and waited for her reply.
\t“What?” Luna asked. She yelled as she was tossed into a large snow drift and quickly sunk into it. Fang laughed as he pulled her out.
\t“DADDY!” She cried out as snow filled her jacket and pants.
\t“Love you sweetie!” He replied as he held her to his body. She tightened her hug around his neck and watched as her grandmother waved and smiled at her. They stepped into the house and Fang sat her down and unzipped her jacket. A few pounds of snow fell out onto the floor.
\t“In pants too daddy!” She replied. He picked her up and moved her away from the door so others could get in and her away from the cold air. He unbuttoned and unzipped her snow pants then pulled them down, revealing her diaper with snow sitting at the top of it.
\t“Onai go get your sister a diaper please,” Fang said. Onai rushed upstairs and came back a few moments later with a diaper and wipes.
\t“We need to get you fully potty trained Luna,” he said and smiled.
\t“I wike diapers dough,” Luna replied as her dad wiped her groin clean of urine and melted snow. He put the fresh diaper on her and taped the sides. He stood her up and patted her on her rear. She laughed then hugged him. He watched her rush into the kitchen with her tail flowing behind her. In the kitchen almost everyone else was standing or sitting. Willow walked out of the living room and sat down next to Fang, with a cup of hot chocolate in her paws.
\t“Fang, you know she might have the same issue as you do with your bladder valve,” Willow said then took a sip of the hot chocolate.
\t“I know mom. I hope not though,” he replied and looked over at her. He stood up and taped the wet diaper closed.
\t“Onai still wears them for her, so she doesn’t feel bad about it,” Willow stated.
\t“I know that too mom,” he replied and smiled at her.
\t“You should take her to the doctors and have them run tests on her for the bladder valve,” she replied.
\t“Mom, give her time. If she’s not able to hold her pee by five years old then we will,” he replied.
\t“Okay Fang, I just don’t want you or Vapor to be worried about it, or me for that fact,” she replied.
\t“We’re not worried about it. She’ll be fine mom, she’s only three. I was still peeing in diapers at three, remember?” Fang replied.
\t“I know sweetie,” she replied. Fang smiled at her then walked to the kitchen and tossed the diaper into the trashcan. He took the last cup of hot chocolate. Vapor walked up to him and kissed his muzzle.
\t“I’m happy that you came out and played with us all,” she said.
\t“Blame our cubs for throwing snowballs at me in the house,” he replied and smiled at the two.
\t“Speaking of that. Fang, you have two puddles to clean up, at the door and the couch and coffee table,” Willow said as she walked in.
\tAs Willow sat her cup on the table as the phone started ringing. She picked it up and listened to the voice then hung up half a minute later.
\t“School is canceled for the rest of the week. We’re getting another severe snow storm tonight. Supposed to drop up to another two to four feet of snow,” Willow stated.
\t“YAY!” Fang, Vapor, Pepper and Shade cheered.
\tWillow walked into the living room and turned on the news. Five minutes later she walked back into the kitchen.
\t“There are multiple lines of storms behind the one tonight. They’re calling for the entire week to be nothing but snow storms.
\t“That’s not good,” Abby stated.
\t“Fang and Vapor, I need help with getting extra groceries. We leave in an hour. Abby would you mind cubsitting for a bit?” Willow stated.
\t“Sure. I’m not going anywhere in this cold,” Abby replied.
\t“Thank you,” Willow replied.
\tA few hours later Willow, Fang and Vapor stepped back into the house carrying boxes and bags of food. Their coats and heads were covered in snow.
\t“Abby, I want you to get back home before this gets any worse,” Willow stated as she sat a box on the counter.
\t“My parent’s aren’t at home, they’re out of state for business. Do you mind if I stay here?” Abby asked.
\t“Ah yes, I forgot about that, I’m sorry. Stay as long as you wish sweetie. Fang can help you get any clothing you need from your house,” Willow replied.
\t“Thank you Willow,” Abby replied as she moved up to the boxes and started putting the frozen food up. Fang and Willow made another four trips out to the car bringing in food, water and supplies for the impending snow storms.
\tThe sky turned dark as day turned to night as the snow storm continued to rage outside. The lights flicked on and off many times per hour but hadn’t went out, yet. Vapor was upstairs tending to Laika and her cold, while Fang gave Onai and Luna their bath for the night. Pepper and Shade was taking a bath as well in the bathroom next to her bedroom. Out of nowhere a loud crack of thunder sounded out and the sky turned bright white for just a couple of seconds. As a second crack of thunder sounded the lights went out. Due to the storm Willow had warned everyone to keep the doors open in case they had to leave quickly. Willow walked up the stairs carefully in the dark.
\t“No one move! I’ll get you all flashlights,” Willow shouted out.
\t“We’re fine Willow, we have a few in our room,” Vapor replied stepping out of the bedroom with a light guiding her way to the stairs.
\t“Pepper, Shade, you both okay?” Willow asked.
\t“Yeah mom,” Pepper replied. Vapor walked up to Willow and smiled at her.
\t“Why you smiling?” Willow asked.
\t“No reason. Just something interesting finally happening,” Vapor replied.
\t“You won’t be saying that if our frozen food or the extra milk ruins,” Willow replied.
\t“I didn’t mean it like that,” Vapor replied.
\t“I know you didn’t, just be careful what you wish for sweetie,” Willow replied.
\t“I’ll go and help Pepper and Shade, we’ll see you downstairs,” Vapor said.
\t“Be careful on the stairs please. There’s no way for us to get out or emergency services to reach us,” Willow replied.
\t“We’ll be careful,” Vapor replied with a smile.
\tVapor walked into the bathroom and shone the light at the tub. Pepper and Shade were sitting close to each other, they were kissing in the hot water.
\t“Okay you two, I know it’s a sexy atmosphere, but this isn’t the time for making out. Get up and get dried off,” Vapor stated.
\t“V-Vapor!” Pepper cried out.
\t“Come on. Stand up and get dried off. I’ll sit here so you both have a light,” Vapor stated. She watched as the two of them stood up and took a towel. Pepper pulled the plug to drain the water. Shade stepped out of the tub and started drying off. Vapor lowered the light just a little bit.
\t“That’s going to suck,” Vapor stated.
\t“Yeah,” Shade replied turning red as his penis stood tall.
\t“Vapor! Stop that!” Pepper scowled.
\t“I’m sorry. Otter penises are interestingly shaped,” Vapor replied.
\t“Still, stop it. That’s my penis!” Pepper replied and stood in front of him.
\t“You know I mean nothing by it Pepper,” Vapor said and smiled.
\tFang walked into the bathroom a moment later holding Luna’s and Onai’s paw, his flashlight clipped to his pants and shining down to the floor.
\t“You three almost done?” Fang asked.
\t“Yeah, we’re just about done drying my tail,” Pepper replied.
\t“Okay. You two have clothes in here?” Fang asked.
\t“Yes,” Pepper replied.
\t“Okay, I’ll wait for all of you downstairs. Vapor make sure to bring Laika downstairs. We shouldn’t let her be up here alone,” Fang stated.
\t“I was going to get her before we headed down,” Vapor replied.
\tDownstairs in the living room sat Abby and the two elderly couple that lived at the end of the road. Willow had urged them to stay with them until the storms passed. They reluctantly agreed just an hour before the storm worsened. Willow with Abby’s and Fang’s help pulled down a couple twin sized beds from the attic and sat them up in the living room for the two elderly frogs.
\t“Hello Mr. and Mrs. Lasserre,” Fang said to the two elderly frogs
\t“Hello Fang,” they replied.
\t“How are you two doing?” He asked.
\t“We’re good,” Mr. Lasserre replied.
\t“Good to hear that. If either of you need anything just ask. Okay?” Fang stated.
\t“Of course Fang,” Mrs. Lasserre replied.
\t“Fang go into the garage and get those two large insulated coolers and bring them in please,” Willow stated. He entered the garage he breathed out and saw his breath in the air, as it was nearing freezing. He looked around and found the coolers sitting under some wall shelves. He grabbed them and drug them inside. Willow directed him to the kitchen with them and they cleaned them of the dust.
\t“Step out on the back porch and fill them half way with snow please,” Willow said.
\t“Why?” Fang asked.
\t“So we can put our frozen food into them,” she replied.
\t“Oh, that’s smart,” he replied.
\t“Yes, now go,” she replied.
\tFang and Willow stepped up to the door and he opened it. Cold wind blew through the house, he stepped out and closed the door. It took him a few minutes to fill them. He climbed over them and opened the door and quickly drug them back inside and shut the door.
\t“Damn it’s cold out there,” he said and rubbed his shoulders.
\t“Pull them into the kitchen then go warm up in front of the fireplace,” Willow told him.

\tThe next morning they all started to wake up, the fire was already stoked. The sun barely shining through the snow covered windows. Fang changed Laika while Vapor changed Luna. Abby was still asleep in front of the fireplace. Pepper and Shade were still asleep, both of them snuggled together under two blankets. Fang walked up to the front window and stood on the two seat couch and looked over the snow drift on the window. Snow covered their front porch which stood three feet off the ground. He walked up to the door and started to open it. Willow yelled it name but it was too late. The door flung open and snow poured in.
\t“Dammit Fang,” Willow replied and rubbed her nasal bridge. Cold air poured into the house instantly cooling it down. He pushed at the door and finally got it shut. Willow walked up to him with the broom and dust pan and a mop.
\t“Get busy cleaning this up,” she stated.
\t“Sorry,” he replied.
\tThe door was blocked by nearly three of snow. Luckily for Fang only a small bit fell into the house. As he was cleaning it up Abby woke up and shivered. Willow tossed her a thick plush blanket. She wrapped herself in it and sat a few feet away from the fire. The electricity was still off. Willow walked up to the Lasserre’s and handed them both a cup of coffee she made over the fire.
\t“Thank you hon,” Mrs. Lasserre said.
\t“How did you two sleep last night?” Willow asked.
\t“Slept well, wasn’t cold at all,” they both replied in their own words.
\t“Good to hear,” Willow replied.
\tWillow looked over at Fang as a gust of cold wind blew into the house. He pushed the snow drift away from the door as much as he could and looked over it.
\t“Jeez, our mailbox is covered up,” he said.
\t“Fang! Shut the door, he have amphibians and a reptile in here. They need the warmth to stay alive,” Willow scowled at him. He frowned and shut the door.
\t“Sorry, I was just curious,” Fang said as he rolled up a snowball. He waited for his mom to sat her coffee on the table. A moment passed and he released it from his paw. It went flying through the air and pegged her in the shoulder.
\t“Fang boy, I’m going to beat your butt!” She scowled at him while he laughed.
\t“Worth it!” He replied as Luna walked up to him and looked at him.
\t“Hungry,” she said.
\t“Yeah me too baby,” he replied. He squatted down and picked her up and carried her back over to the couch.
\t“I’ll cook some food in a few minutes, I want to finish my coffee first though,” Willow stated glaring at him.
\t“I’ll do it mom, you relax,” Fang said as he sat Luna on the couch. He walked around the couch and into the kitchen. He returned a few minutes later with a dozen eggs, sausage package, a few skillets and other items like spices and utensils. He pulled out the custom fireplace grill that Quill had made a few years back. He sliced the sausage into thin pieces and put them into one of the skillets. As the sausage started to sizzle he cracked the eggs into a bowl and scrambled them adding salt and pepper. He sat them to the side and grabbed a bell pepper and onion and sliced them into small pieces and dumped them into a bowl. He pulled off the sausage and sliced all of the pieces into small squares. He mixed the sausage with the veggie mix and dumped it into the skillet again. He moved the eggs over the fire and stirred them around. When the eggs were almost finished the dumped them into the other skillet and mixed everything in together. He shook some garlic powder out over everything and stirred the breakfast mix together. After just a few more minutes he moved them off then grabbed the flour tortilla shells and heated them over the fire.
\tFang sat everything on the glass coffee table and folded up a dozen of the breakfast burritos. He handed the Lasserre’s two burritos each on a plate. He got Luna and Onai to sit down and gave them each one. The others came up and took one. Fang walked up to where Shade and Pepper were still sleeping at and pulled the blankets off of them.
\t“WAKE UP!” Fang said loudly. The two of them jerked up and glared at him but soon sniffed at the air. “Breakfast is ready,” he said. It took them a couple of minutes to wake up and get dressed. Fang grabbed two of the burritos and sat down and started eating.
\tAfter eating Mr. Lasserre walked over to a table and picked up their medicine bag and moved back over to the couch. Fang watched as he pulled out a couple dozen medicine bottles and looked at each of them.
\t“Damn, I’m missing one of my pills,” Mr. Lasserre stated.
\t“How important is it?” Fang asked.
\t“Kind of important. I could go a day without it but,” he replied being cut off by Willow
\t“Fang is more than willing to trudge through the snow to get it for you,” Willow stated.
\t“Yeah, I can do that,” Fang replied.
\t“I don’t want to trouble you Fang,” Mr. Lasserre replied.
\t“No trouble at all. I want to see the amount of snow anyway,” Fang replied.
\t“Okay Fang. The pill is called Apixaban. A-P-I-X-A-B-A-N. It’s in a box in our bathroom’s medicine cabinet,” Mr. Lasserre said.
\t“Okay, I’ll get it after I finish eating,” Fang replied.
\t“Thank you,” he replied.
\t“That pill is pretty important, it’s an anti blood clotting medicine right?” Willow asked.
\t“Yes it is. I guess we just rushed to get over here that I forgot it. I’m sorry,” Mr. Lasserre replied.
\t“No worries, at least it’s only like 200 feet trek and not miles away. Lucky for Fang that is,” Willow replied.
\tFang stood at his bedroom window with Willow and Vapor next to him. Since the door and porch was pretty much covered in snow he would have to go out of the window and drop down onto the garage roof and then down the ladder on the back. Fang held the keys to the Lasserre’s house in his paw while Vapor zipped up his coat.
\t“Fang, I want you to wear your snow shoes while your going. I know you don’t like too but it’ll be better if you do,” Willow stated.\t
\t“Okay,” he sighed. After he slipped them on and tied them he kicked his hindpaws in annoyance.
\t“Be careful Fang, that snow is deeper than you are tall,” Willow replied.
\t“I’ll be careful. I know my way around here,” he replied.
\t“Love you Fang,” Vapor said then kissed him.
\t“Love you too Vapor,” he replied.
\t“Okay, just hurry back and be careful,” Willow stated.
\tHe opened the window and stepped out onto the short ledge of the house and slowly moved his way to the garage. Willow and Vapor watched as he dropped down and sunk into the snow on the garage roof.
\tHe slowly made his away to the edge of the garage and looked down at the snow below him. He looked back at his window and waved at the two watching him. He sat down and then dropped down to the ledge of the roof. A minute passed without Willow or Vapor seeing any movement. A moment later a sheet of plywood was moved on top of the snow, then another piece was pushed up next to the first piece. The side of the garage side was spared from most of the snow due to the solid fence just two feet away. He climbed the ladder and back onto the roof. He jumped over to the plywood and it sunk into the snow just a little bit. He moved the other piece in front and stepped onto that. He repeated the process for around thirty feet. He sat down and panted from wearing himself out.
\tTwo hours later Fang opened the bedroom window and climbed back in. He walked down the stairs and walked over to everyone.
\t“Took you long enough,” Willow said then pulled him into a hug.
\t“HEY! It took me forever just to move that plywood that distance than I had to dig down to their door, sorry,” he said and walked up to Mr. Lasserre and handed him the box.
\t“Is this the correct pills?” Fang asked.
\t“Yes it is, thank you,” he replied.
\t“I’m glad it is. That wasn’t an easy adventure. Really fun though,” he replied and laughed. He pulled off his coat and the snow shoes then stood in front of the fireplace. Onai and Luna was sleeping on the floor underneath the coffee table.
\t“How it is outside?” Pepper asked.
\t“Snow everywhere. In places it’s deeper than I am tall,” Fang replied.
\t“So about four or five feet?” Pepper asked.
\t“More like upwards of six feet,” Fang replied.
\t“Oh okay,” Pepper replied.
\tThe hours passed slowly by for most in the house. Fang was laying on the floor with Luna and Onai climbing on and over him. He looked over at the elderly couple sitting on the couch leaning on each other.
\t“Say, Mr. and Mrs. Lasserre, when you were cubs how did you deal with snow and being stuck indoors for days?” Fang asked.
\t“Froglets actually, but to answer your question. Where we lived at we never had snow. We lived down in the Amazon jungle. It was lots of rain though. Being frogs we were at home in the rain. On sweltering hot days my siblings and I would have to stay indoors. We just played games. Games like making shapes with our hands and fingers with a flashlight against the wall, we would draw or tell stories to each other. We didn’t have electricity back then,” he explained.
\t“Huh, interesting. I don’t know if I could handle that,” Fang replied.
\t“Well, you would since you didn’t know anything about electricity, computers, TV or anything modern. We didn’t even have cars. We walked or hopped everywhere,” Mr. Lasserre replied.
\t“Yeah I suppose so,” Fang replied.
\tThat night another two feet of snow dropped. Fang and Vapor woke up to see Willow standing at the bay window looking out at nothing but white. The snow was covering the window except the top third.
\t“Morning mom,” he said as they walked up to her.
\t“Morning you two,” she replied.
\t“Lots of snow,” Vapor stated.
\t“Yeah it is. It’s the worst snow storm I’ve ever been in,” Willow replied.
\t“It’s crazy,” Fang replied.
\t“Yup,” Willow replied.
\tA couple of hours passed by while everyone sat around in the dark, Luna and Onai was playing on the floor with toys and puzzle before they started playing a board game. After an hour both of them got bored of it. Luna walked up to her dad and frowned.
\t“I’m bored,” Luna said.
\t“Hi bored, I’m dad,” Fang replied. He grunted as Vapor hit his arm.
\t“Daddy, I mean it I’m bored!” Luna exclaimed loudly.
\t“Well, what do you want to do?” Fang asked.
\t“I wanna go outside,” Luna replied.
\t“Hahaha, yeah. I think we all want to. Sorry baby but no one can go out, we’re snowed in,” Fang replied.
\t“I WANNA GO OUT!!!” Luna screamed.
\t“Hey! No yelling Luna,” Fang scolded her. “There is no way to get outside Luna. I’m sorry,” he added as she started to cry.
\t“Luna, there’s no point in crying. I want to go outside too but we can’t,” Vapor stated and picked her up.
\t“Daddy is mean,” Luna stated.
\t“Daddy’s not mean,” Vapor replied and wiped the tears from Luna’s face.
\t“AAAAHHHHH!!!” A scream came from upstairs as Vapor comforted Luna in her arms. It was Pepper’s voice. Willow jumped up from the chair and up to the stairs as Pepper stormed down the stairs. She was covered only with a towel.
\t“What’s wrong Pepper?” Willow exclaimed.
\t“Water is cold!” Pepper scowled.
\t“Well yeah, the hot water heater requires electricity to work sweetie,” Willow replied with a chuckle.
\t“UGH!” Pepper replied and stomped back upstairs. A few minutes later she walked back into the living room and plopped down on the floor next to Shade. He bumped his tail on her back and smiled at her as she looked at him.
\t“Come on I wanna go out,” Luna said picking the subject back up.
\t“Fine, you want to go out?” Fang asked. He stood up and picked her up. They walked over to the front door and he opened it. Luna shrieked as snow fell into the house. Even though there is a roof covering the porch the snow still piled up against the house.
\t“See Luna, you can’t go out. No one can,” Fang stated. He stood her on the floor as watched as her tail dropped to the floor and her ears flattened against her head. He squatted down and gave her a kiss.
\t“We’ll be able to get out soon, I promise,” he said. She looked up at him and gave a slight smile. Fang pushed the door closed and looked at the bit of snow that was still left. He left for the kitchen to get the broom, dustpan and mop.
\tThe day passed by, Willow was sitting in front of the fire cooking dinner for everyone as loud snaps and huge crash sounded outside, shaking the house.
\t“Well, there goes a tree,” Willow stated. Fang rushed upstairs and looked out a window to see one of the trees in the field next to their house was now laying on the ground, snow smashed up from underneath it. He returned back downstairs and sat down when Willow handed him a plate of food.
\t“Yup, it was a tree,” Fang stated.
\t“That old one that lightning struck last year?” Willow asked.
\t“Yes,” he replied.
\t“Figured as much,” she replied.
\tThe following morning Fang woke up to Vapor shaking and calling out his name.
\t“Fang wake up. The blankets are soaked. Did you pee?” Vapor asked as he sat up.
\t“No?” He asked confused then finally felt the wetness. In between them Luna was sleeping. Fang checked her and only the outside was wet. He stood up and looked around. Willow walked in carrying the mop and bucket.
\t“Ah good, you’re both awake. Help me clean up the water. The snow is melting and coming in under the doors,” Willow stated. Fang stretched then picked Luna up and sat her next to her brother on one of the beds.
\tAfter mopping up water for nearly two hours Fang groaned out in annoyance. He grabbed the door knob and before Willow could stop him he swung the door open. Snow fell into the house and started to melt. He held his paw up to his mom who was about to say something and turned back around to the door. He dug his way through the snow tossing it away from the door, while the others quickly scooped up the snow and water on the floor. Towels covered the carpet. After a short time Fang closed the door behind him and dug at the snow trying to get it away from the door. He finally made it to the stairs and looked out over the snow covered road. Abby’s house was covered in snow, well about five feet up the wall and the roof was covered in snow nearly two feet deep. Another hour of work and he finally got the snow away from the door so it wouldn’t fall back down and flow into the house. He shivered and walked back in. Willow glared at him for a moment then smiled. He walked over to the fire and stood in front of it as he continued shivering. He looked over at Vapor then sneezed a few times.
\t“You best not be getting sick,” Vapor stated looking over at him.
\t“If I am, I got it from Laika,” he replied and sat down. Onai and Luna rushed up to him and sat in his lap as he warmed up. Luna took his tail and wrapped it around her even though it was wet and cold. It didn’t matter to her, she loved her fathers long fluffy tail. She smiled and giggled as she gave his tail and hug. He flicked it against her face causing her to giggle louder. He pulled them both into a hug and kissed them both. Luna looked up at him and smiled.
\t“Can we go outside?” Luna asked.
\t“Not yet baby,” Fang replied.
\t“But why not?” Onai asked.
\t“Still too much snow, you’d both be buried alive in it,” Fang replied.
\t“What about porch dough?” Luna asked.
\t“Ask your mom,” Fang replied. Both of them leapt up and rushed up to their mom.
\t“Can we pway on porch?” Onai asked.
\t“I don’t know. Too much snow and its still really cold,” Vapor replied.
\t“We been inside for days. We bored,” Luna replied.
\t“We are all bored Luna. It’ll be just another day okay?” Vapor replied.
\t“Okay,” both of them replied. They turned around and walked away, both of their tails dragging the floor behind them.
\tAn hour later Fang looked over at the twins and frowned. Both of them were laying on the bed. Luna’s head resting on her brothers stomach. Both of them bored, like everyone else. Luna had her left leg arched, her foot on the bed, her right leg sat on her knee and twitching her right hindpaw in the air. After a few minutes she stopped moving her hindpaw and jumped off the bed and rushed out of the room. She was gone before anyone could ask her what was wrong. Vapor rushed after her only to stop after hearing the bathroom door slamming shut. A few minutes later she returned to see her mom and dad looking at her.
\t“What?” Luna asked.
\t“Potty?” Vapor asked.
\t“Yes?” Luna replied confused.
\t“I’m glad that you’re using the potty instead of the diaper,” Vapor replied.
\t“Oh okay,” Luna replied. Fang held his paw out for her she rushed up and climbed onto his lap and hugged him.
\t“Oh I see how you are, daddy’s girl,” Vapor stated. Luna smiled and moved over and hugged her mom as well. Luna pulled out of the hug and looked at both her mom and dad.
\t“I’m bored,” she said.
\t“Yes we know. You’ve said that a dozen times already,” Fang replied.
\t“I wanna play outside,” Luna replied.
\t“Baby you can’t play outside. We’ve been over this already,” Fang replied.
\t“Yes we can!” Luna scoffed and crossed her arms.
\t“Fine, you want to play outside? Go play outside. Stay on the porch though,” Fang replied. Both Onai and Luna cheered joyfully and rushed to the door. They put on their jackets, snowshoes and scarves then opened the door. They stood there looking at a wall of snow blocking the porch stairs. They both stepped backwards and closed the door.
\t“We can’t pway out there no space,” Onai stated.
\t“I told you both that you couldn’t do anything outside, there’s too much snow,” Fang replied.
\t“Why not go play the board game again?” Vapor asked.
\t“We played that many times dough, we bored of it,” Luna replied and started crying.
\t“Aww, come on sweetie, lets go lay down and take a nap,” Fang said standing up.
\t“I not sleepy,” she replied as he picked her up. He carried her upstairs while Onai followed behind. He laid her down on her bed and sat Onai up. He laid down next to them and within minutes Luna was asleep. He carefully got off the bed and left the room. He stopped at Pepper’s room and heard the two inside. He knocked and opened the door to see them quickly covering up. He barely dodged a book as it went flying by his head.
\t“Get out!” Pepper scowled. He ignored her, picked up the book and tossed it on her desk. He sat on the bed and looked at the two.
\t“You really shouldn’t be having sex right now, since we have so many neighbors downstairs. You two aren’t quiet when it comes to having sex,” he explained.
\t“Shut up,” Pepper scowled.
\t“I don’t mean to embarrass either of you, but it’s the truth. Plus, what if one of you get hurt? There’s no way in hell we’re getting you to the hospital. Not to mention that help wouldn’t be able to get to us. It’s why mom has been very cautious about everything we’ve been doing. It’s why she wouldn’t let any of us cook, except that first morning when I did,” he replied.
\t“Fine, we won’t but get out and don’t enter my room again without one of us giving you permission,” she replied. Fang smiled and kissed her muzzle then left the room.
\t“While you’re both up here, listen for Onai and Luna please. They’re sleeping in their room,” Fang stated.
\t“Okay we will. No leave!” She replied.
\tThe next couple of days they all were stuck in the house as the snow melted. Flooding ensued during the after the snow melt. Low laying areas were affected the most. The houses on their street was mostly fine. The following week school started back up and the day to day lives of everyone continued normally.
