Both cubs were feeling a bit awkward about what had happened that night. Though they had both enjoyed it, their young minds couldn't quite decide if it was something they wanted to do again. It was like nothing they learned when they went through Sex education. After all the class taught them about reproduction and it was apparent that neither of them liked girls.\n\n\tBoth boy's parents had no idea what had happened. The cubs had kept things rather low profile so they had never found out. The two continued to hang out at school every so often but the personal nature of their relationship had dropped a bit. Both boys had become a bit more distant from each other. Of course, their parents hadn't noticed it as they didn't pay attention enough as they had their things going on.\n\n\tHailun got up for another day at school. He awoke to the familiar alarm of the early morning. He wasn't quite as eager to go to school as early as he had been in days past. He had already tried out for Kendo and he wasn't sure he wanted to pursue the sport quite yet. The cub yawned and stretched as he pulled himself out of bed. Looking out the window, there were only a few clouds outside so it appeared like it was going to be a good day.\n\n\tOnce Hailun was dressed, he made his way into the kitchen. He saw that neither of his parents was around. He had been lucky the last few days as he didn't want them to question him about Kennen anymore. Hailun felt as if things had gotten weird between them and weren't ready to confront the issue just yet. He made himself some breakfast, deciding on just a bowl of fruit with some juice to start his day.\n\n\tAfter he ate and satisfied his stomach, he made his way back to his room to grab his bag. Making his way through the hall as he approached the front door. His shoes sat there in front of him. He began thinking of Kennen in his socks until he shook his head to get the image out of his mind. Sliding his shoes on, he just wanted to get to school to see who he could hang out with. He had been trying more actively to hang out with other people lately.\n\n\tHailun headed out of the home and locked the door behind him. Making his way down the street to the school, he passed by Rumble and Amumu. The two other boys were holding hands. He couldn't help but look at his own and yearned a bit to have Kennen's in his own again. He tried to ignore the couple as he passed by them continuing on his way to school. The rest of the way, he didn't come across anyone else he knew.\n\n\tAt school, he looked around to see who he could spot. There were no signs of Kennen around and he was partly glad of that. Eventually, he came across Poppy who was sitting below the tree she usually hung out underneath in front of the school. The girl waved him over as she saw him approach. Hailun contemplated going right into the school but decided to go and see how she was doing.\n\n\"Hiya, Poppy. How goes it?\" Hailun said standing in front of her.\n\nShe patted the floor next to her, goading him to join her. \"It goes well. Looking forward to the weekend?'\n\n\"Yeah, have you got anything planned?\" The red panda finally moved to sit down next to her under the tree.\n\nThe bigger girl shook her head. \"Nah, how about you?\"\n\n\"Probably just scouts with Teemo.\" Hailun was certain there was another meeting this weekend but wasn't sure.\n\nPoppy cocked her head awkwardly. \"Nothing with Kennen?\"\n\n\"We haven't planned anything yet…no.\" The red panda stopped short of telling her how they had been distant.\n\nShe grabbed his hand lightly. \"You guys aren't fighting are you?\"\n\n\"No, why?\" The red panda's heart skipped a beat figuring that Poppy had picked up on their issue.\n\nThe bigger girl hummed. \"I dunno. It just seems like you guys haven't been hanging around each other as much.\"\n\n\"Erm, no…we're fine.\" Hailun tried to deflect the issue.\n\nPoppy hesitated a second before responding. \"Suit yourself but if you need anything don't hesitate to ask, alright?\"\n\n\"Thanks, Poppy.\" The smaller boy sighed in relief under his breath.\n\nThe two remained silent for a second as he picked himself up. \"I'm going to go see if I can find Teemo about tomorrow.\"\n\nPoppy eyed him warily but said nothing. She could sense something was up but she wasn't sure what it was. The girl hoped that Kennen would be more open about it. Hailun made his way over to the other side of the schoolyard where Teemo and Tristana were hanging out by the fountain that offered water and seeds to wild birds. The two were watching the birds flow back and forth between the upper and lower level portions of it.\n\nHailun approached them from behind but didn't say anything as he didn't want to disturb them. Teemo peered his head back a bit as he saw the boy's shadow loom over him as he was sitting there.\n\n\"What's up, dude?\" Teemo kept his arm around his girlfriend.\n\nHailun looked down at him. \"I was just wondering if scouts is tomorrow?\"\n\n\"Oh, Nah. That's every other week. You're welcome to come next week if you want though.\" Teemo gave the boy a scouts salute.\n\nThe red panda returned the gesture with one of his own. \"Alright, sounds good. Thanks.\"\n\nThe red panda walked away as he didn't want to disturb them any further. Deciding to sit by himself under the awning of the school to pass time. He scrunched up his knees and started to think about Kennen again. He wondered where the other boy might be.\n\n\"Got space for me?\" A familiar voice beckoned to him from his side.\n\nHailun looked up at the other boy, sure enough, it was Kennen. He smiled and nodded. Kennen sat down next to the red panda and attempted to put his arm over the other boy but he was deflected by the smaller cub.\n\n\"Look….I know things have been weird for us since we spent the night together the other night but I was thinking we could talk about it.\" The brown yordle had been just as conflicted about it as the other boy had.\n\nThe smaller cub looked over at Kennen. \"Okay.\"\n\n\"Do you feel weird about what we did too?\" Kennen was certain that was the case.\n\nHailun nodded. \"Yeah, I guess.\"\n\n\"Well, I felt the same way but I've been thinking about it a lot, and is it so weird? I mean…we are boyfriends right?\" The bigger cub tried to rationalize it with the other yordle.\n\nThe smaller cub smiled. \"Uh-huh…\"\n\n\"So why should we feel guilty about what we did…right? I mean…our parents didn't find out and so it's our little secret…\" Kennen tried putting his arm over the boy again.\n\nHailun allowed it this time. \"Yeah, I guess….\"\n\n\"I don't want to do anything you're not comfortable with so if you ever feel like this again just talk to me, alright? I want to be there for you just as you're there for me…\" Kennen leaned in and kissed the other boy on the cheek.\n\nHailun put his arm around Kennen and pulled him in closer. \"Thanks, Kennen.\"\n\n\"So…I guess you didn't go to Kendo today either, huh?\" Kennen had skipped out on it to talk to Hailun.\n\nThe red panda shook his head. \"Nah, I figured you wanted space.\"\n\n\"Oh, no. You can join if you want. It's not like the school has many teams anyways…\" The brown yordle looked in front of them watching some squirrels carry acorns in the distance.\n\nHailun hummed. \"I'll give it some thought.\"\n\n\"I hope you join. I think it would be fun to spar with you. It would be nice to face a challenge for once.\" Kennen continued to spur on the other boy.\n\nThe red panda chuckled. \"Maybe…I'll ask my parents.\"\n\n\"Sounds good. Ready to head to class now…together?\" Kennen offered his paw out to the other boy.\n\nHailun gladly took the hand in his own and squeezed it. The two picked themselves up before making their way inside. Poppy smiled as they passed her, seeming to have finally gotten past whatever issue was bothering them. Kennen and Hailun made their way to Kennen's first class. The two share a short kiss before parting ways again.\n\n\"I'll see you at lunch, alright?\" Kennen reassured his boyfriend.\n\nHailun nodded and waved before making his way down the hall. He began thinking about what Kennen had said. It sort of made sense to him and he had enjoyed the time he spent the other night. He felt much better about it now. Making his way to his first class, survival he proceeded to the desk near Teemo. Teemo was sitting next to Vex, which he thought was strange since Vex usually hung around with Veigar.\n\nHailun stood there for a second. \"Are you guys partners today?\"\n\n\"Yeah, sorry. Vex has turned over a new leaf and I am going to try to help her persuade Veigar to do the same.\" Teemo said with his usual bright smile.\n\nThe red panda decided instead to sit next to Poppy who had a seat vacant next to her.\n\n\"May I sit here?\" Hailun asked to make sure she didn't have a partner.\n\nShe shook her head. \"Sorry, hero but Lulu will be here shortly.\"\n\nHe nodded and moved on until he found another spot next to Rumble, a boy he didn't know very well outside of his relationship with Amumu. The blue yordle eyed him warily as Hailun approached. Rumble put his bag next to him as if to reserve the seat. Hailun didn't say a word, deciding instead to sit by himself. The red panda couldn't help but feel lonely but tried to not make a big deal of it.\n\n\"Today we will be working on a cooperative project with the other survival class. If you do not have a partner, you may find one from the other class. Your job is to navigate the Bandlewood to the grand gateway. No magic or technology will be permitted. You are to act as if you are lost without any sense of direction.\" The instructor informed them of their task.\n\nHailun perked up a bit. He assumed that meant they would be teaming up with Kennen's class. He decided to wait until they got outside to jump to conclusions as he wasn't certain that was the case. The teacher took them outside before long. The sun was blazing overtop and even with its eternal gaze looming at them,\n it was still rather chilly out. Hailun began to look around to see who he could find from the other class that he knew.\n\nSure enough, Kennen was standing near the center of the class. He waved over at the other boy to beckon him over. Kennen's face lit up upon seeing the other boy, rushing over to see him.\n\n\"Hey, do you have a partner?\" Hailun asked once the boy was within personal distance of him.\n\nKennen frowned. \"Yeah…I already promised Fizz I would be his partner.\"\n\n\"Aw…alright.\" The red panda wasn't certain who else he could team up with.\n\nAn unfamiliar visage of the black yordle soon approached him. \"I see you have not yet found a partner, perhaps we can make an accord.\"\n\n\"You must be Veigar…\" Hailun stared him down, uncertain if he could trust him.\n\nVeigar moved between them. \"I am not here for friendship. I am here for the mutual need of a partner.\"\n\n\"I suppose I don't have a choice do I?\" Hailun looked around one more time just to be certain.\n\nThe black yordle rolled his eyes. \"Nor do I.\"\n\n\"No funny business…understood?\" The red panda said warning the other boy with an empty threat.\n\nVeigar's eyes burned yellow. \"Do not make idle threats you cannot deliver. Let's get this over with.\"\n\nHailun stood next to Veigar and sighed, awaiting further direction.\n\n\"The path to the golden gateway is one which you must make yourself. Use any means you must to reach the goal. A magical barrier will be placed over this place to protect you for the time being. You need not fear beast or foe, self-defense will not be necessary. The first two teams to reach the goal will be awarded a prize. On my marks…you can begin.\"\n\nThe whistle was soon blown. The cubs of both classes exploded forward into the forest. Hailun waited for Veigar who was moving annoyingly slowly.\n\n\"Don't you want to win?\" Hailun looked back to see the other students had already left.\n\nVeigar huffed. \"Victory is of no consequence to me. It is meaningless.:\n\nHailun rolled his eyes as the two walked into the entrance of the forest. The moment they entered it the sun was blacked out by the thick canopy of the trees above. They made their way to the first fork in the road which led directly to the end of the dirt path. Veigar floated directly over a hollowed-out tree that had fallen. Hailun had no idea where he was going but continued to follow all the same.\n\nThey continued to walk through the forest. The trees had only become thicker and it was becoming more difficult to move through them. Even the shrubs and foliage had become overwhelmingly dense. Veigar faded through them without issue while Hailun continued to expend energy working his way through the brush. Soon they came to a river which Veigar levitated over with ease.\n\nHailun dove into the still body of water, swimming his way over as the fatigue began to set in his body. This continued for what seemed like several hours. Veigar pushed his way through obstacles while Hailun had to overcome them by different means. Eventually, Hailun stopped for a break to catch his breath. By the time he looked in front of him, Veigar was nowhere to be seen. He quickly did a quick search around the area, even backtracking a bit.\n\nPeering through bushes and even peeking into holes. Yet the black yordle had all but vanished. Hailun tried to settle himself down. He was alone now but this is what the class was about, he told himself. He continued to make his way through the forest, with no sense as to the direction he was going. The cub had no sense of time as he tried to make his way through the forest with no show of progress.\n\nAt the finish line, all of the students had finished. Veigar and Hailun were the only ones who hadn't shown up. Lunch was already nearing as the ordeal had taken much longer than the teacher anticipated. Already negative thoughts were beginning to fill their heads with the worse that could happen. Moments later Veigar appeared from the forest, but with no signs of his partner behind him.\n\nKennen immediately noticed and panicked. \"Where is he, you jerk?\"\n\nVeigar showed no signs of distress or discomfort. \"Where is who?\"\n\n\"Hailun…you partnered up with him didn't you?\" Kennen grabbed Veigar by the scruff of his neck.\n\nVeigar's eyes beamed yellow. \"Put me down you brute…\"\n\nTeemo put himself between the two to prevent the obvious conflict. \"Hang tight…Veigar…where is he?\"\n\nThe black yordles eyes returned to their normal yellow tint. \"You mean the boy I was with? I suppose he got left behind.\"\n\n\"You left him behind? Are you crazy?\" What Kennen didn't know was that the spell set to protect the forest had already expired.\n\nVeigar shrugged. \"This is survival class, is it not? Well…now he'll have a real taste of it.\"\n\n\"And here I thought you changed…\" Teemo grabbed Kennen's wrist removing it from Veigar.\n\nThe black yordle turned around. Vex approached him from Teemo's side and whispered into his ear.\n\n\"I am not interested in helping that boy.\" Veigar walked away back towards the school.\n\nVex huffed. \"Sorry…I tried. I guess Hailun made him angry.\"\n\n\"That doesn't justify him leaving Hailun behind. Come on…we need to get the teacher's help and rescue him before something happens to him.\" Teemo said, looking at Kennen.\n\nThe bigger yordle was at a loss for words. \"Can't we just go look for him? I'll go myself if I have to.\"\n\n\"It's better if we stick together. The magic in the forest has likely run its course so who knows what we might face in there. Let's go talk to the teacher and see what she wants.\" Teemo suggested, trying to stay calm.\n\nKennen looked at the floor, seeming distraught with the situation. He was strongly considering going in on his own but knew it would be better to work on his team. He continued to bottle up his desire to go in after his friend.\n\nTeemo approached the teacher. \"We want to go on a rescue mission for Hailun.\"\n\n\"Honorable as that might be, it would be dangerous. Still, we can't leave the boy in the bandlewood.\" The woman scratched her chin.\n\nThe boy rolled his eyes trying to remain respectful. \"What do you suggest then?\"\n\n\"We will need to split up in the forest. Go in groups of two. I will contact the school and have them send people from the other side.\"\n\nTeemo turned around and saw that a few more of the students had gathered around.\n\n\"I will go with Kennen. Poppy you can team up with Lulu. Amumu you can go with Rumble. Vex...you can go find out what the deal with Veigar is.\" Teemo tried to act as the makeshift leader of the group.\n\nThe group nodded and headed back into the forest. Teemo looked over at Kennen who still seemed distracted and lost in thought.\n\n\"Look, I know you worried but the longer this takes the more problems that might happen...\" Teemo stroked the other cub's back to try and relax him.\n\nKennen turned around with a tear in his eye. \"Yeah, I know...I just don't want him to get hurt.\"\n\n\"You're sweet. It's nice to see you honest about your feelings for him now. Come on, dude...\" Teemo grabbed the other cub's hand and began leading him into the forest.\n\nTeemo and Kennen headed into the first outcropping of trees where the foliage became immediately thicker. Small drips of water were dropping from the leaves above. The smaller boy looked up, considering that it might be raining. Yet, he heard no indication of the sound of rainfall as he listened for it. Teemo began looking around for signs of Hailun having come through here.\n\nKennen wasn't sure what to look for, just searching in various bushes and shrubs. Teemo was more experienced in looking for lost people. He had been trained in search and rescue and had an idea of how it worked. Still, this was the first time he had had to use his skills in practice. They continued to search as they made progress through the jungle but still found no signs of the boy.\n\nThe search continued for well over an hour. Kennen had become increasingly disheartened about things, though he hadn't vocalized it. Teemo tried to remain positive, pushing along Kennen when he needed the support. He could tell the other boy was worried and did what he could to offer him. Internally he began to think to himself that Kennen was becoming more of a hassle but he wasn't about to let him off the hook as he knew Kennen wanted to help.\n\nTheir stomachs began to rumble, reminding them that it was well past lunch. Teemo rubbed his stomach and tried to satiate the desire for hunger. He kneeled and saw some mushrooms on the floor. Examining them a moment, he contemplated if they looked suitable to consume. They didn't seem to look it so he smelled it. They smelled rather stale, so he picked some up.\n\n\"Want something to eat?\" Teemo suggested as he munched on one himself.\n\nKennen was still distracted in his thoughts. \"I'm fine.\"\n\n\"Here.\" The smaller boy held up a mushroom to the other cub as if insisting the other boy would take it.\n\nThe brown yordle eyed it warily. \"I'm alright, okay? I'm not hungry.\"\n\n\"Hailun wouldn't want you to go hungry...\" Teemo figured that would incentivize the boy a bit more.\n\nKennen sighed and took the thing before munching on it. \"It's not half bad...heh.\"\n\nTeemo grabbed a few more and shared them with Kennen before they moved on. Eventually, they came across what appeared to be some footsteps. Teemo spotted them as he had been looking between the floor and in front of him the entire time. He leaned down to take a look at it.\n\n\"Looks like Hailun or someone else might have been through here recently.\" Teemo touched the soil and it wasn't moist.\n\nKennen rushed over to where Teemo was and looked himself. \"Are you sure?\"\n\n\"Well, no but it's better than nothing. I haven't noticed anything else until now.\" The smaller boy tried to remain positive.\n\nThe bigger yordle patted him on the back. \"Nice job.\"\n\n\"Let's move on. We need to move fast.\" Teemo suggested as he knew time was of the essence.\n\nThey continued through the forest until they\n heard a stream. They had always been taught that if they got lost they should go to the closest body of water. Teemo and Kennen rushed to the source of the water, finding a thin river feeding through the heart of the forest. The two of them headed over to the body of water and cupped water in their hands. As they were quenching their thirst, they could overhear the light sound of what resembled crying.\n\n\"Do you hear that?\" Teemo said as he perked his ears up a bit.\n\nKennen looked around as he heard it too. \"Hailun!?\"\n\nA distant voice beckoned to them. \"Over…here.\"\n\nThe two immediately lept into action and began scanning the area for signs of him.\n\n\"Where are you?\" Teemo sounded off to see if they could get a better idea of where was.\n\nHailun was struggling with pain as he had been bitten by a snake. \"I…don't know.\"\n\n\"Can you move or make noise?\" Kennen suggested as the other boy's voice was still low in volume.\n\nThe red panda tried rustling a branch nearby. The two cubs standing a bit ways away from it saw the movement. They made their way over to it, pushing their way through the shrubs. Sure enough, Hailun was on the other side massaging his ankle as he had twisted it.\n\n\"Hailun…are you alright?\" Kennen leaned down and tried to gauge the other boy's health.\n\nThe smaller cub huffed. \"It…hurts…a…snake…bit…me.\"\n\n\"Oh, we need to get you to the clinic as soon as possible…Can you help me pick him up, Teemo?\" \n\nTeemo moved to the opposite side of Hailun, noticing Hailun was still holding his ankle. \"I'll be careful to not move your ankle…alright?\"\n\nThe red panda nodded but had no energy to say anything. His stomach rumbled as it had been quite a while since he eat. Kennen and Teemo picked up the boy and began to move him out of the forest. Teemo remembered the way they had come so it was fairly easy for them to make it back to the school. They arrived at the instructor waiting at the entrance of the forest for the students to return.\n\nTeemo and Kennen told her what happened and she went about communicating it through telepathy to the other students in the forest. The two cubs carried Hailun through the entrance of the school. The hallways were mostly vacant except for a few students who were grazing to the restroom or otherwise in need of a break. They rushed to the clinic and were greeted by the Nurse. They told her what happened and she nodded.\n\nShe showed them to an open room and instructed them to lay Hailun on the bed. Both Teemo and Kennen were fatigued but they powered through the last request and moved him onto the mattress. Kennen stepped to the boy's bed and grabbed his hand. Hailun's eyes were shut and his hands were cold.\n\n\"I'm so sorry I made you find another partner…\" Kennen couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt.\n\nTeemo rubbed the bigger boys back. \"You didn't know this was going to happen. Don't blame yourself.\"\n\n\"I know but…look at him…he might…\" The brown yordle was interrupted by the other boy.\n\nTeemo hit him on the back. \"Don't even say it. He needs you now more than ever.\"\n\n\"Alright.\" Kennen's eyes teared up a bit as he started to cry.\n\nThe smaller cub pulled up a chair so the other yordle could sit. \"It will be alright…\"\n\nTeemo wasn't' sure that would be the case but he wasn't about to let negative thoughts dictate his speech. The brown yordle proceeded to break down as Kennen stroked his back trying to console him. A few moments later an older yordle proceeded through the clinic's door. The young man had thick glasses and was carrying a small dog kit at his side.\n\nThe dark yellow yordle fixed his glasses as he made his way into the room, noticing the kids in the room. The nurse was behind him.\n\n\"I'm going to need you to move to the side, young man.\" The yordle doctor was wearing a long beige labcoat filled with vials and flasks.\n\nTeemo whispered to Kennen as he was the closest to Hailun. \"I think he means you.\"\n\nKennen was still sobbing so Teemo had to ease him back a bit and continued to try to settle him down.\n\n\"Maybe you should take him elsewhere?\" The doctor looked at Teemo expecting him to comply.\n\nThe brown yordle shook his head and spoke in a cracking voice. \"No!\"\n\n\"I see, well let's see what we have here.\" The man walked up next to Hailun's body and placed his bag on the bed next to him.\n\nThe bigger cub was still crying and the doctor tried to ignore it as he started to work. He pulled out a syringe and proceeded to take some of Hailun's blood. He looked back over at the crying cub and pulled a lollipop out of his labcoat and offered it to him. Kennen hesitantly took the thing and began sucking on it, muffling his sorrow a bit.\n\nThe doctor squeezed out some of the blood onto a slide. He tapped the side of his glasses, causing a buzz and whir as a small-looking device popped in front of his eyes. He looked through it and at the blood that was on the slide. After a few seconds of examining it, he put it back down and hit the side of his glasses again, causing the looking device to retract back into his glasses.\n\n\"It appears the boy is suffering from poisoning. He needs to be treated with anti-venom. I am uncertain how much it has spread through his body.\" \n\nThe doctor touched Hailun's head. It was cold and devoid of much body heat at all. He took out a stethoscope and proceeded to take his heartbeat. The man said nothing as he listened for a few moments. Hailun's heartbeat was still present but sounded to be weak. He took the stethoscope off the cub's chest and grabbed a vial from his coat. He examined the label for a moment before sticking the same syringe he had used before into it.\n\nHe inserted it into Hailun's arm and plunged the liquid into him. Once he was done, he withdrew the syringe.\n\n\"So…will he be alright?\" Teemo asked the obvious question since it was deafly silent in the room.\n\nThe man nodded. \"He should be fine once the anti-venom runs its course. I gave him enough for two doses, which is more than enough for a boy his size.\"\n\n\"See? You can stop crying now…\" The smaller boy continued to stroke Kennen's back.\n\nThe doctor disposed of the needle tip in the garbage before collecting his things. \"The boy needs rest and hydration. He will also need food when he's awake but that will likely be a while.\"\n\n\"Thanks, doc.\" Kennen said, still a bit muffled.\n\nThe man ruffled the distraught cub's fur. \"Your friend will be fine, I promise.\"\n\nThe man grabbed his bag and made his way out, leaving only the nurse with the cubs.\n\n\"You all should go get lunch, your teacher told me you skipped out on it to rescue your friend. I will watch over him for now. Feel free to check back at the end of the day, though I will have to have his parents pick him up.\" The woman suggested as she didn't want the other kids to go hungry.\n\nTeemo helped Kennen up. \"Come on, let's go get some food. I know you have to be as hungry as I am.\"\n\nKennen nodded and followed Teemo out of the clinic. They saw no signs of the other kids, assuming they had already gone back to class. The two cubs made their way down the halls until they reached the cafeteria. The mess hall was empty this time of day since it was late and the rest of the students had already eaten. Still, the lunch room had been informed of what had happened and small trays of food had been set up for them to grab.\n\nKennen and Teemo grabbed themselves a tray of food. Teemo made sure to sit down next to the brown yordle as he was certain he would need support. \n\n\"You alright? I know that was a lot to take in back there.\" The smaller boy attempted to squeeze his friend tight.\n\nKennen nodded. \"Yeah, I feel a little bit better knowing that he will be fine…but still…\"\n\n\"But nothing…Hailun's health is all that matters right now, right? Now go on and eat…I'm sure he wouldn't want you to go hungry.\" Teemo figured that would be incentive enough to spur him on.\n\nThe bigger boy smiled. \"Yeah, I guess your right.\"\n\nTeemo began eating, going through his meal rather quickly as he was hungry since it was late and he had only eaten the mushrooms in the forest. Kennen was a bit slower to eat but still managed to get through all of his food. Teemo looked at one of the clocks and saw it was almost the end of the day.\n\n\"I don't think we'll need to go back to class so we can hang out here if you want.\" Teemo figured it didn't matter since it was so late.\n\nKennen finished up his food. \"Thanks for your help today. I couldn't have done it without you.\"\n\n\"Well, yeah. Of course, he's my friend too ya know?\" Teemo smiled widely.\n\nThe bigger cub began to tear up a bit. \"I don't know what I would have done without him…\"\n\n\"Don't think like that…alright? The doctor said he will be okay.\" The smaller yordle squeezed Kennen in a hug again.\n\nKennen sniffled. \"Yeah, but what do we do about Veigar? This is…his fault.\"\n\n\"I know you're probably mad at him but it's best to just let the school handle it. Don't go getting in trouble because of Veigar. He's on thin ice as it is.\" Teemo figured they had suspended the black yordle or something of the line.\n\nThe brown yordle wiped his nose on his sleeve. \"Still…why would he do that?\"\n\n\"Because Veigar's a jerk. That's why no one is his friend. Not even Vex wants to hang around with him anymore.\" The smaller cub groaned a bit as if disgusted.\n\nKennen hummed a moment. \"I guess your right.\"\n\n\"Don't worry about Veigar. Justice will be served.\" Teemo gave him a thumbs up.\n\nKennen nodded. \"I want to do something nice for Hailun when he comes back around.\"\n\n\"Yeah? Like what? What do you have in mind?\" Teemo perked up in curiosity, thinking maybe he could help.\n\n\"Well, when I am sick my mom always made sure I had my plushy around. Maybe he would like to keep it while he's in bed?\" Kennen hardly ever used the plush anymore as he felt like he had outgrown it.\n\nTeemo hesitated before answering. \"I think that's a good idea if you think he'll like it.\"\n\n\"Cool, thanks\n for the input. I'll drop it off at his place tonight.\" Kennen smiled widely.\n\nThe final school bell rang before long. When Kennen and Teemo went to check on Hailun, they found the cub had already been picked up by his parents. Kennen figured this would allow him to pick up and drop off the plush he had in mind. \n\n\"I'll catch you tomorrow, alright Teemo?\" Kennen said excusing himself as he wanted to take care of it alone.\n\nTeemo nodded. \"Yeah, let me know if you need any help.\"\n\nKennen waved to his friend before making his way out of the school. He felt much better now that he knew Hailun would be alright. Still, he wanted to do something nice for him and check in on his boyfriend. The boy made his way home and tried to go about his day like normal. It had been a long stressful day for him and he couldn't stop thinking about it. \n\nOnce he arrived at his home, he bolted past his mother who was confused by his sudden arrival and rushed attitude.\n\n\"Something wrong?\" She could sense something was up even if he said nothing.\n\nKennen spoke back at her. \"I'll be back later, Hailun had an incident today so I'm going to go check on him.\"\n\n\"I see.\" She said, deciding that she would inquire with the boy's parents once Kennen had left.\n\nThe cub grabbed the small plush animal from his bed. It was one from when he was a child, a dinosaur designed to look like a Stegosaurus. He hugged it before clutching it in his hand. The boy figured his friend needed it more than he did right now. Kennen headed back out of the house with the toy in his hand. Some people looked at him as he passed by them with the toy in his hand, but he ignored them.\n\nKennen arrived at Hailun's place at a pretty good time. He had walked briskly enough that he covered the distance quicker. He stood at the door and knocked, waiting for an answer. The door soon opened and he was greeted by the cub's father.\n\n\"Ah Kennen, right?\" The older red panda smiled down at him.\n\nKennen nodded with a smile on his face, holding the small stuffed animal up toward him. \"Uh-huh. I was wondering if you could give this to Hailun?\"\n\n\"No, I can't.\" The man smirked as he bluffed in front of the boy.\n\nKennen stood there shocked at the rejection. \"How come?\"\n\nHailun's father folded his arms with a grin on his face. \"Because I think he would prefer if you gave it to him.\"\n\n\"Is he awake?\" Kennen said as hope was rekindled inside of him, giving him a renewed sense of warmth.\n\nThe man moved to the side. \"Why not go and see yourself, kiddo?\"\n\n\"Oh, thank you.\" The boy bowed deeply and showed himself inside.\n\nThe father watched as Kennen forgot to take his shoes off but he decided not to make a big ordeal out of it. The brown yordle made his way back through the hallway, still clutching the small plush in his arms. Once he was close enough to Hailun's door, Kennen knocked on it and waited a second. He heard no noise from the inside so he slowly pushed the door in and made his way inside.\n\n\"Hailun?\" Kennen approached the cub's bed.\n\nHailun was still bedridden but heard the boy's voice. \"Kennen…?\"\n\n\"Yeah…how are you feeling?\" The bigger cub peered over the boy's bed looking at his resting form.\n\nThe red panda cub cracked a smile. \"Crummy…I have a headache and my body is sore.\"\n\n\"I'm so happy you're alright…I was so worried about you.\" Kennen began to tear up a bit again, still clutching the dinosaur.\n\nThe smaller yordle tried moving but his body didn't have the strength to do it. \"Aw…please don't cry.\"\n\n\"I'm just…so…happy.\" The brown yordle sniffled and wiped his eyes with the plush.\n\nHailun's mind still drew a blank about what had happened since he had blacked out. \"I'm better now…I think.\"\n\n\"Yeah, the doctors gave you medicine and said you would be better after some rest.\" Kennen held out the plush to Hailun, expecting him to take it.\n\nThe red panda squinted a bit. \"What's that? I can't move yet…\"\n\n\"I figured you could use some company while you are sick…so I brought you an old friend.\" Kennen put the thing underneath Hailun's arms.\n\nHailun whined a bit as the pain spiked up a bit again. \"Thanks…\"\n\n\"Get some rest, alright?\" Kennen leaned in and kissed Hailun on the forehead.\n\nThe red panda's eyes closed again as he was trying to deal with his pain, groaning a bit.\n\n\"He needs some rest, kiddo but thanks for coming.\" The man's father had watched the two from behind.\n\nKennen turned around. \"Thanks for letting me see him. See you, Hailun…get better soon.\"\n\n\"All good. I knew he would want to see you.\" The boy's father led Kennen back out of the home.\n\n\"May I come back to check on him?\" Kennen wasn't sure if the cub's parents wanted him around with the other boy sick.\n\nThe man patted him on the head. \"Give him a bit. He needs to rest and I don't think he'll rest with you around.\"\n\n\"Alright, I will respect your wishes.\" Kennen bowed deeply again to the older man before turning around to leave.\n\nThe man watched as Kennen left. The cub went back home and reported to his parents, who had already been told about the issue by Hailun's own. Kennen seemed to be in a good mood all the same so they figured the other boy had to be improving. Still, they didn't pry about the issue or about what happened. They knew the boys were rather close and didn't want to pour salt on the wound of what had happened.\n\nIt was a few days before Hailun recovered. He still had no recollection of what had happened. His parents wouldn't tell him when he asked. He ended up having to miss Scouts, but he was still in no state to get out of bed when that rolled around. Hailun continued to be fed in bed and occasionally asked about Kennen. His parents told him it would have to wait until he was stronger as they didn't want him to over-exert himself.\n\nIt was already the middle of the next week when Hailun finally got out of bed. His body wobbled a bit as it had been a while since he used a bit. He struggled to maintain his balance but after a few steps, he regained his gate. He wanted very much to go back to school and see his friends, especially Kennen. He was hoping that his parents would let him go. The cub made slow methodical steps until he was in the kitchen.\n\n\"Morning, mom.\" He said while holding the wall for support.\n\nShe turned around as if surprised. \"Oh, my you're out of bed?\"\n\n\"Yeah, I feel better today. Just a little weak.\" The boy gritted his teeth to try and show he was strong enough to support himself.\n\nThe woman rushed up to him and held him up. \"You're still in no shape to get up…\"\n\n\"I'm tired of being in bed…I want to go to school and see my friends.\" Hailun protested.\n\nShe sighed. \"But honey…you're weak….\"\n\n\"I can't stay in bed forever, mom.\" The red panda tried to push off her to continue to walk on his own.\n\nThe mother rolled her eyes. \"Stubborn as ever…I suppose you're right though.\"\n\n\"So, can I go to school?\" Hailun said with a hopeful grin.\n\nThe flicked his nose. \"Under one condition…\"\n\n\"What's that?\" The red panda was willing to do anything to get out of the house.\n\nShe turned around and headed back towards the stove. \"That someone helps you get around until you're strong enough to walk on your own.\"\n\n\"Maybe Kennen will help me out. I wouldn't mind asking him.\" Hailun didn't like the idea of relying on someone but figured he had no choice.\n\nThe woman smirked at him. \"I figured you would say that.\"\n\n\"I don't think he'll mind helping me out a little bit.\" The boy just wanted to spend time with his beloved.\n\nShe winked. \"I will let his parents know to tell him to come to pick you up. Now come eat breakfast and I will help you get ready.\"\n\n\"But Mom...I…\" The cub was interrupted by her.\n\nThe older red panda turned around and pointed at him as if to scold him. \"But nothing…no buts mister.\"\n\n\"Fine…\" Hailun knew he was fighting a losing battle.\n\nShe helped him to the table and gave him a heartier breakfast than he normally ate. He hadn't eaten as much lately so he was more than ready to devour it, making quick work of it. When his mother took him back to his room to help him get dressed, he insisted on trying himself. She watched on with concern as she was certain he wouldn't be able to pull it off. Still, with some effort, he was able to dress.\n\nSoon enough there was a knock on the door. Hailun's face lit up a bit as he figured he knew where it was. As he got up from the bed, he slipped on his bum.\n\n\"Hang tight, bub. I know you are excited to see him but let's not get hurt. I'm not sure your little boyfriend wouldn't like that.\" She teased him a bit.\n\nThe older red panda helped him up and guided him over to the door, opening it for him. Sure enough, Kennen had already arrived.\n\n\"Alright, Kennen. He's still pretty weak but he insisted on going to school. So promise me you'll help him out today?\" She stared him down to make sure he knew she was serious.\n\nThe brown yordle nodded. \"Yes, ma'am.\"\n\nThe older yordle passed her son off to him, attaching his right arm across the other boy's shoulder. \n\n\"No funny business today, Hailun. I don't need you getting hurt any worse than you already are.\" She kneeled to be at eye level with him.\n\nShe then looked at Kennen. \"See if you can help him get some therapy. He will need it.\"\n\nHe nodded again and she handed him the other cub's bag.\n\n \"Bye, Mom.\" Hailun didn't bother waving since he was holding onto Kennen.\n\nKennen began walking slowly as if to take it easy. The other cub was walking to the side of him and was just using him as an aid so it wasn't as hard as he thought.\n\n\"I guess you're feeling better, huh?\" Kennen was certain that was the case.\n\nHailun nodded and struggled along. \"Yeah, I was tired of being cramped up in bed.\"\n\n\"Hehe, well it's nice to see you out and about it. I can't wait to hang out again with you.\" The brown yordle said as they moved their way slowly down the street.\n\nThe red panda sighed. \"My parent's probably won't let me for a while. I had to argue\n to get out today.\"\n\n\"Alright, we'll see how it goes. It's not like either of us can argue with them.\" Kennen knew better than to argue with his elders.\n\nHailun groaned. \"Yeah, you're right. I missed you though.\"\n\n\"I missed you too.\" The bigger boy squeezed his boyfriend's hand.\n\nThe two continued to struggle along until they reached the school. Poppy was the first one to spot the two hobbling in steps. \n\n\"You want some help, Kennen?\" She was certain he would appreciate the offer.\n\nKennen squinted a bit. \"Yeah, he's heavy. Can you take him a bit?\"\n\nShe motioned herself under the other arm of the other boy and propped him up. \"How ya feeling, hero?\"\n\n\"I'm alright. Just a little weak. My mother said I might need therapy.\" Hailun sighed as he didn't know what was involved in that.\n\nKennen leaned in and kissed the other boy on the cheek. \"It will be fine. We'll get the school to get you some help.\"\n\nPoppy helped Hailun into the school with Kennen hot on their heels. Kennen was still carrying both of their bags. The girl figured the clinic would be able to help with the boy's issue. They showed up at the infirmary. The woman recognized him as the cub from the other day.\n\n\"Ah, good. He's returned. I suppose he is here for therapy?\" She looked at him clutching onto Poppy's shoulder, clearly unable to stand on his own volition.\n\nHailun nodded. \"I suppose. \n\n\"You don't need to worry…therapy has come a long way. There is a medicine we have to help you do it on your own. You will need to take it 3 times a day.\" The woman had it delivered the other day when students were recovering from broken bones.\n\nThe red panda cocked an eyebrow. \"Really?\"\n\n\"There is no need to keep you here for therapy. You are young and capable enough. Go ahead and take this now…then every few hours as you feel weakness return to you. Eventually, your muscles will strengthen on their own. You should only need this for a week.\" She handed him a small yellow vial with some pills in it.\n\nHailun looked at it and fingered it for a second. Kennen took the thing and opened it for him, offering him a pill as he wanted nothing more than to see him get better. The red panda smiled and kissed the boy's hand inadvertently as he took it from him. The bigger boy patted him on the head.\n\n\"The effects will not be immediate. He will likely need your help for a few hours. I assume Poppy will be your helper for the time being?\" She looked at both of the able-bodied cubs and sized them up.\n\nPoppy looked at Kennen. \"What would you like? He's your boyfriend after all.\"\n\n\"Hailun, do you have a preference?\" Kennen was still sore from lugging him around before school.\n\nThe red panda shook his head. \"Nah, whoever is fine. I don't want to be a burden. You can take a break, Kennen.\"\n\nPoppy propped herself up again and lifted the boy with ease. \"No problem, hero.\"\n\n\"Hailun, you can share Poppy's schedule for today then. I will inform the teachers.\" The nurse left them alone.\n\n\"Thanks, Poppy.\" Kennen patted her on the back.\n\nShe rearranged herself and took the vial from Kennen. \"No problem. I will take care of him, don't worry.\"\n\n\"I know you will.\" Kennen gave her Hailun's bag and headed to class.\n\nPoppy and Hailun made their way to the girl's first class. Sitting together out of necessity.\n\n\"Thanks for helping me.\" Hailun felt a bit helpless but was glad he had friends to help him.\n\nShe huffed. \"No problem. You're not that heavy anyways.\"\n\n\"You're pretty strong, you know that?\" The red panda tried to compliment her.\n\nThe bigger girl grinned. \"Thanks.\"\n\nHailun continued to follow along with Poppy for a few hours. By lunchtime, some of his strength had returned to him and he was able to walk with a limp. The girl was glad he was showing some independence but was still there if needed as a crutch. Hailun tried to maintain himself but hobbled off every so often. The boy tried to not rely on her but Poppy wasn't willing to let him operate on his own just yet. \n\n\"Thanks for your help today.\" Hailun said to make sure her effort was being appreciated.\n\nPoppy patted him on the shoulder. \"No problem, hero.\"\n\nHailun tried to wean off her in the lunch line. She watched him warily but he was standing on his own well enough.\n\nThey were able to make their way through the line without much of an issue. Poppy held his tray just in case as Hailun walked along with his occasional limp. \n\n\"Where do you like to sit?\" She was certain he would sit by Kennen but the other boy hadn't shown up.\n\nHailun pointed to where Gnar was sitting and she walked over with him to the table before sitting down on his tray. \n\n\"I'll be back to get you after lunch. I'm going to go hang out with Lulu for a little bit.\" Poppy waved to the cub as she walked off.\n\n\"Gnar!\" The orange yordle smiled widely.\n\nHailun smiled back at him. \"Hey, Gnar.\"\n\n\"Poochaca? The smaller cub looked at his friend seeming concerned about it.\n\nThe red panda started eating. \"I'm feeling better now, how are you?\"\n\n\"Hooba.\" The smaller boy started eating again.\n\nHailun took a swig of his drink. \"We should hang out again sometime soon.\"\n\n\"Vigishu. Vrooboo?\" Gnar was still intent on finishing his meal.\n\nHailun thought about it a second. \"We can do whatever you want.\"\n\nIt wasn't long before Kennen joined them, sitting across from them. \"How ya feeling?\"\n\n\"I'm a little bit better. Poppy is still helping me. I need to take another pill, though.\" Hailun reached into his pocket and pulled out the vial he had been given.\n\nKennen scratched his head. \"Maybe if you're up for it, do you want to try to do something after school?\"\n\nHailun looked at Gnar who simply shrugged at him. \"I told Gnar I would hang out with him.\"\n\n\"Shugi no lagga.\" Gnar shrugged as it didn't seem to matter to him.\n\nThe red panda felt bad. \"Are you sure? It's been a while since we did anything.\"\n\n\"Goova Okanoo.\" The smaller cub slapped the bigger yordle on the back playfully.\n\nHailun smiled. \"Thanks, Gnar. I promise we'll hang out tomorrow then.\"\n\n\"So…are we on for after school? Is it a…date…?\" Kennen smirked a bit.\n\nThe smaller cub nodded. \"Yeah, sure. After all the class taught them about reproduction and it was apparent that neither of them liked girls.

\tBoth boy's parents had no idea what had happened. The cubs had kept things rather low profile so they had never found out. The two continued to hang out at school every so often but the personal nature of their relationship had dropped a bit. Both boys had become a bit more distant from each other. Of course, their parents hadn't noticed it as they didn't pay attention enough as they had their things going on.

\tHailun got up for another day at school. He awoke to the familiar alarm of the early morning. He wasn't quite as eager to go to school as early as he had been in days past. He had already tried out for Kendo and he wasn't sure he wanted to pursue the sport quite yet. The cub yawned and stretched as he pulled himself out of bed. Looking out the window, there were only a few clouds outside so it appeared like it was going to be a good day.

\tOnce Hailun was dressed, he made his way into the kitchen. He saw that neither of his parents was around. He had been lucky the last few days as he didn't want them to question him about Kennen anymore. Hailun felt as if things had gotten weird between them and weren't ready to confront the issue just yet. He made himself some breakfast, deciding on just a bowl of fruit with some juice to start his day.

\tAfter he ate and satisfied his stomach, he made his way back to his room to grab his bag. Making his way through the hall as he approached the front door. His shoes sat there in front of him. He began thinking of Kennen in his socks until he shook his head to get the image out of his mind. Sliding his shoes on, he just wanted to get to school to see who he could hang out with. He had been trying more actively to hang out with other people lately.

\tHailun headed out of the home and locked the door behind him. Making his way down the street to the school, he passed by Rumble and Amumu. The two other boys were holding hands. He couldn't help but look at his own and yearned a bit to have Kennen's in his own again. He tried to ignore the couple as he passed by them continuing on his way to school. The rest of the way, he didn't come across anyone else he knew.

\tAt school, he looked around to see who he could spot. There were no signs of Kennen around and he was partly glad of that. Eventually, he came across Poppy who was sitting below the tree she usually hung out underneath in front of the school. The girl waved him over as she saw him approach. Hailun contemplated going right into the school but decided to go and see how she was doing.

"Hiya, Poppy. How goes it?" Hailun said standing in front of her.

She patted the floor next to her, goading him to join her. "It goes well. Looking forward to the weekend?'

"Yeah, have you got anything planned?" The red panda finally moved to sit down next to her under the tree.

The bigger girl shook her head. "Nah, how about you?"

"Probably just scouts with Teemo." Hailun was certain there was another meeting this weekend but wasn't sure.

Poppy cocked her head awkwardly. "Nothing with Kennen?"

"We haven't planned anything yet…no." The red panda stopped short of telling her how they had been distant.

She grabbed his hand lightly. "You guys aren't fighting are you?"

"No, why?" The red panda's heart skipped a beat figuring that Poppy had picked up on their issue.

The bigger girl hummed. "I dunno. It just seems like you guys haven't been hanging around each other as much."

"Erm, no…we're fine." Hailun tried to deflect the issue.

Poppy hesitated a second before responding. "Suit yourself but if you need anything don't hesitate to ask, alright?"

"Thanks, Poppy." The smaller boy sighed in relief under his breath.

The two remained silent for a second as he picked himself up. "I'm going to go see if I can find Teemo about tomorrow."

Poppy eyed him warily but said nothing. She could sense something was up but she wasn't sure what it was. The girl hoped that Kennen would be more open about it. Hailun made his way over to the other side of the schoolyard where Teemo and Tristana were hanging out by the fountain that offered water and seeds to wild birds. The two were watching the birds flow back and forth between the upper and lower level portions of it.

Hailun approached them from behind but didn't say anything as he didn't want to disturb them. Teemo peered his head back a bit as he saw the boy's shadow loom over him as he was sitting there.

"What's up, dude?" Teemo kept his arm around his girlfriend.

Hailun looked down at him. "I was just wondering if scouts is tomorrow?"

"Oh, Nah. That's every other week. You're welcome to come next week if you want though." Teemo gave the boy a scouts salute.

The red panda returned the gesture with one of his own. "Alright, sounds good. Thanks."

The red panda walked away as he didn't want to disturb them any further. Deciding to sit by himself under the awning of the school to pass time. He scrunched up his knees and started to think about Kennen again. He wondered where the other boy might be.

"Got space for me?" A familiar voice beckoned to him from his side.

Hailun looked up at the other boy, sure enough, it was Kennen. He smiled and nodded. Kennen sat down next to the red panda and attempted to put his arm over the other boy but he was deflected by the smaller cub.

"Look….I know things have been weird for us since we spent the night together the other night but I was thinking we could talk about it." The brown yordle had been just as conflicted about it as the other boy had.

The smaller cub looked over at Kennen. "Okay."

"Do you feel weird about what we did too?" Kennen was certain that was the case.

Hailun nodded. "Yeah, I guess."

"Well, I felt the same way but I've been thinking about it a lot, and is it so weird? I mean…we are boyfriends right?" The bigger cub tried to rationalize it with the other yordle.

The smaller cub smiled. "Uh-huh…"

"So why should we feel guilty about what we did…right? I mean…our parents didn't find out and so it's our little secret…" Kennen tried putting his arm over the boy again.

Hailun allowed it this time. "Yeah, I guess…."

"I don't want to do anything you're not comfortable with so if you ever feel like this again just talk to me, alright? I want to be there for you just as you're there for me…" Kennen leaned in and kissed the other boy on the cheek.

Hailun put his arm around Kennen and pulled him in closer. "Thanks, Kennen."

"So…I guess you didn't go to Kendo today either, huh?" Kennen had skipped out on it to talk to Hailun.

The red panda shook his head. "Nah, I figured you wanted space."

"Oh, no. You can join if you want. It's not like the school has many teams anyways…"  The brown yordle looked in front of them watching some squirrels carry acorns in the distance.

Hailun hummed. "I'll give it some thought."

"I hope you join. I think it would be fun to spar with you. It would be nice to face a challenge for once." Kennen continued to spur on the other boy.

The red panda chuckled. "Maybe…I'll ask my parents."

"Sounds good. Ready to head to class now…together?" Kennen offered his paw out to the other boy.

Hailun gladly took the hand in his own and squeezed it. The two picked themselves up before making their way inside. Poppy smiled as they passed her, seeming to have finally gotten past whatever issue was bothering them. Kennen and Hailun made their way to Kennen's first class. The two share a short kiss before parting ways again.

"I'll see you at lunch, alright?" Kennen reassured his boyfriend.

Hailun nodded and waved before making his way down the hall. He began thinking about what Kennen had said. It sort of made sense to him and he had enjoyed the time he spent the other night. He felt much better about it now. Making his way to his first class, survival he proceeded to the desk near Teemo. Teemo was sitting next to Vex, which he thought was strange since Vex usually hung around with Veigar.

Hailun stood there for a second. "Are you guys partners today?"

"Yeah, sorry. Vex has turned over a new leaf and I am going to try to help her persuade Veigar to do the same." Teemo said with his usual bright smile.

The red panda decided instead to sit next to Poppy who had a seat vacant next to her.

"May I sit here?" Hailun asked to make sure she didn't have a partner.

She shook her head. "Sorry, hero but Lulu will be here shortly."

He nodded and moved on until he found another spot next to Rumble, a boy he didn't know very well outside of his relationship with Amumu. The blue yordle eyed him warily as Hailun approached.  Rumble put his bag next to him as if to reserve the seat. Hailun didn't say a word, deciding instead to sit by himself. The red panda couldn't help but feel lonely but tried to not make a big deal of it.

"Today we will be working on a cooperative project with the other survival class. If you do not have a partner, you may find one from the other class. Your job is to navigate the Bandlewood to the grand gateway. No magic or technology will be permitted. You are to act as if you are lost without any sense of direction." The instructor informed them of their task.

Hailun perked up a bit. He assumed that meant they would be teaming up with Kennen's class. He decided to wait until they got outside to jump to conclusions as he wasn't certain that was the case. The teacher took them outside before long. The sun was blazing overtop and even with its eternal gaze looming at them,
 it was still rather chilly out. Hailun began to look around to see who he could find from the other class that he knew.

Sure enough, Kennen was standing near the center of the class. He waved over at the other boy to beckon him over. Kennen's face lit up upon seeing the other boy, rushing over to see him.

"Hey, do you have a partner?" Hailun asked once the boy was within personal distance of him.

Kennen frowned. "Yeah…I already promised Fizz I would be his partner."

"Aw…alright." The red panda wasn't certain who else he could team up with.

An unfamiliar visage of the black yordle soon approached him. "I see you have not yet found a partner, perhaps we can make an accord."

"You must be Veigar…" Hailun stared him down, uncertain if he could trust him.

Veigar moved between them. "I am not here for friendship. I am here for the mutual need of a partner."

"I suppose I don't have a choice do I?" Hailun looked around one more time just to be certain.

The black yordle rolled his eyes. "Nor do I."

"No funny business…understood?" The red panda said warning the other boy with an empty threat.

Veigar's eyes burned yellow. "Do not make idle threats you cannot deliver. Let's get this over with."

Hailun stood next to Veigar and sighed, awaiting further direction.

"The path to the golden gateway is one which you must make yourself. Use any means you must to reach the goal. A magical barrier will be placed over this place to protect you for the time being. You need not fear beast or foe, self-defense will not be necessary. The first two teams to reach the goal will be awarded a prize. On my marks…you can begin."

The whistle was soon blown. The cubs of both classes exploded forward into the forest. Hailun waited for Veigar who was moving annoyingly slowly.

"Don't you want to win?" Hailun looked back to see the other students had already left.

Veigar huffed. "Victory is of no consequence to me. It is meaningless.:

Hailun rolled his eyes as the two walked into the entrance of the forest. The moment they entered it the sun was blacked out by the thick canopy of the trees above. They made their way to the first fork in the road which led directly to the end of the dirt path. Veigar floated directly over a hollowed-out tree that had fallen. Hailun had no idea where he was going but continued to follow all the same.

They continued to walk through the forest. The trees had only become thicker and it was becoming more difficult to move through them. Even the shrubs and foliage had become overwhelmingly dense. Veigar faded through them without issue while Hailun continued to expend energy working his way through the brush. Soon they came to a river which Veigar levitated over with ease.

Hailun dove into the still body of water, swimming his way over as the fatigue began to set in his body. This continued for what seemed like several hours. Veigar pushed his way through obstacles while Hailun had to overcome them by different means. Eventually, Hailun stopped for a break to catch his breath. By the time he looked in front of him, Veigar was nowhere to be seen. He quickly did a quick search around the area, even backtracking a bit.

Peering through bushes and even peeking into holes. Yet the black yordle had all but vanished. Hailun tried to settle himself down. He was alone now but this is what the class was about, he told himself. He continued to make his way through the forest, with no sense as to the direction he was going. The cub had no sense of time as he tried to make his way through the forest with no show of progress.

At the finish line, all of the students had finished. Veigar and Hailun were the only ones who hadn't shown up. Lunch was already nearing as the ordeal had taken much longer than the teacher anticipated. Already negative thoughts were beginning to fill their heads with the worse that could happen. Moments later Veigar appeared from the forest, but with no signs of his partner behind him.

Kennen immediately noticed and panicked. "Where is he, you  jerk?"

Veigar showed no signs of distress or discomfort. "Where is who?"

"Hailun…you partnered up with him didn't you?" Kennen grabbed Veigar by the scruff of his neck.

Veigar's eyes beamed yellow. "Put me down you brute…"

Teemo put himself between the two to prevent the obvious conflict. "Hang tight…Veigar…where is he?"

The black yordles eyes returned to their normal yellow tint. "You mean the boy I was with? I suppose he got left behind."

"You left him behind? Are you crazy?" What Kennen didn't know was that the spell set to protect the forest had already expired.

Veigar shrugged. "This is survival class, is it not? Well…now he'll have a real taste of it."

"And here I thought you changed…" Teemo grabbed Kennen's wrist removing it from Veigar.

The black yordle turned around. Vex approached him from Teemo's side and whispered into his ear.

"I am not interested in helping that boy." Veigar walked away back towards the school.

Vex huffed. "Sorry…I tried. I guess Hailun made him angry."

"That doesn't justify him leaving Hailun behind. Come on…we need to get the teacher's help and rescue him before something happens to him." Teemo said, looking at Kennen.

The bigger yordle was at a loss for words. "Can't we just go look for him? I'll go myself if I have to."

"It's better if we stick together. The magic in the forest has likely run its course so who knows what we might face in there. Let's go talk to the teacher and see what she wants." Teemo suggested, trying to stay calm.

Kennen looked at the floor, seeming distraught with the situation. He was strongly considering going in on his own but knew it would be better to work on his team. He continued to bottle up his desire to go in after his friend.

Teemo approached the teacher. "We want to go on a rescue mission for Hailun."

"Honorable as that might be, it would be dangerous. Still, we can't leave the boy in the bandlewood." The woman scratched her chin.

The boy rolled his eyes trying to remain respectful. "What do you suggest then?"

"We will need to split up in the forest. Go in groups of two. I will contact the school and have them send people from the other side."

Teemo turned around and saw that a few more of the students had gathered around.

"I will go with Kennen. Poppy you can team up with Lulu. Amumu you can go with Rumble. Vex...you can go find out what the deal with Veigar is." Teemo tried to act as the makeshift leader of the group.

The group nodded and headed back into the forest. Teemo looked over at Kennen who still seemed distracted and lost in thought.

"Look, I know you worried but the longer this takes the more problems that might happen..." Teemo stroked the other cub's back to try and relax him.

Kennen turned around with a tear in his eye. "Yeah, I know...I just don't want him to get hurt."

"You're sweet. It's nice to see you honest about your feelings for him now. Come on, dude..." Teemo grabbed the other cub's hand and began leading him into the forest.

Teemo and Kennen headed into the first outcropping of trees where the foliage became immediately thicker. Small drips of water were dropping from the leaves above. The smaller boy looked up, considering that it might be raining. Yet, he heard no indication of the sound of rainfall as he listened for it. Teemo began looking around for signs of Hailun having come through here.

Kennen wasn't sure what to look for, just searching in various bushes and shrubs. Teemo was more experienced in looking for lost people. He had been trained in search and rescue and had an idea of how it worked. Still, this was the first time he had had to use his skills in practice. They continued to search as they made progress through the jungle but still found no signs of the boy.

The search continued for well over an hour. Kennen had become increasingly disheartened about things, though he hadn't vocalized it. Teemo tried to remain positive, pushing along Kennen when he needed the support. He could tell the other boy was worried and did what he could to offer him. Internally he began to think to himself that Kennen was becoming more of a hassle but he wasn't about to let him off the hook as he knew Kennen wanted to help.

Their stomachs began to rumble, reminding them that it was well past lunch. Teemo rubbed his stomach and tried to satiate the desire for hunger. He kneeled and saw some mushrooms on the floor. Examining them a moment, he contemplated if they looked suitable to consume. They didn't seem to look it so he smelled it. They smelled rather stale, so he picked some up.

"Want something to eat?" Teemo suggested as he munched on one himself.

Kennen was still distracted in his thoughts. "I'm fine."

"Here." The smaller boy held up a mushroom to the other cub as if insisting the other boy would take it.

The brown yordle eyed it warily. "I'm alright, okay? I'm not hungry."

"Hailun wouldn't want you to go hungry..." Teemo figured that would incentivize the boy a bit more.

Kennen sighed and took the thing before munching on it. "It's not half bad...heh."

Teemo grabbed a few more and shared them with Kennen before they moved on. Eventually, they came across what appeared to be some footsteps. Teemo spotted them as he had been looking between the floor and in front of him the entire time. He leaned down to take a look at it.

"Looks like Hailun or someone else might have been through here recently." Teemo touched the soil and it wasn't moist.

Kennen rushed over to where Teemo was and looked himself. "Are you sure?"

"Well, no but it's better than nothing. I haven't noticed anything else until now." The smaller boy tried to remain positive.

The bigger yordle patted him on the back. "Nice job."

"Let's move on. We need to move fast." Teemo suggested as he knew time was of the essence.

They continued through the forest until they
 heard a stream. They had always been taught that if they got lost they should go to the closest body of water. Teemo and Kennen rushed to the source of the water, finding a thin river feeding through the heart of the forest. The two of them headed over to the body of water and cupped water in their hands. As they were quenching their thirst, they could overhear the light sound of what resembled crying.

"Do you hear that?" Teemo said as he perked his ears up a bit.

Kennen looked around as he heard it too. "Hailun!?"

A distant voice beckoned to them. "Over…here."

The two immediately lept into action and began scanning the area for signs of him.

"Where are you?" Teemo sounded off to see if they could get a better idea of where was.

Hailun was struggling with pain as he had been bitten by a snake. "I…don't know."

"Can you move or make noise?" Kennen suggested as the other boy's voice was still low in volume.

The red panda tried rustling a branch nearby. The two cubs standing a bit ways away from it saw the movement. They made their way over to it, pushing their way through the shrubs. Sure enough, Hailun was on the other side massaging his ankle as he had twisted it.

"Hailun…are you alright?" Kennen leaned down and tried to gauge the other boy's health.

The smaller cub huffed. "It…hurts…a…snake…bit…me."

"Oh, we need to get you to the clinic as soon as possible…Can you help me pick him up, Teemo?"

Teemo moved to the opposite side of Hailun, noticing Hailun was still holding his ankle. "I'll be careful to not move your ankle…alright?"

The red panda nodded but had no energy to say anything. His stomach rumbled as it had been quite a while since he eat.  Kennen and Teemo picked up the boy and began to move him out of the forest. Teemo remembered the way they had come so it was fairly easy for them to make it back to the school. They arrived at the instructor waiting at the entrance of the forest for the students to return.

Teemo and Kennen told her what happened and she went about communicating it through telepathy to the other students in the forest. The two cubs carried Hailun through the entrance of the school. The hallways were mostly vacant except for a few students who were grazing to the restroom or otherwise in need of a break. They rushed to the clinic and were greeted by the Nurse. They told her what happened and she nodded.

She showed them to an open room and instructed them to lay Hailun on the bed. Both Teemo and Kennen were fatigued but they powered through the last request and moved him onto the mattress. Kennen stepped to the boy's bed and grabbed his hand. Hailun's eyes were shut and his hands were cold.

"I'm so sorry I made you find another partner…" Kennen couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt.

Teemo rubbed the bigger boys back. "You didn't know this was going to happen. Don't blame yourself."

"I know but…look at him…he might…" The brown yordle was interrupted by the other boy.

Teemo hit him on the back. "Don't even say it. He needs you now more than ever."

"Alright." Kennen's eyes teared up a bit as he started to cry.

The smaller cub pulled up a chair so the other yordle could sit. "It will be alright…"

Teemo wasn't' sure that would be the case but he wasn't about to let negative thoughts dictate his speech. The brown yordle proceeded to break down as Kennen stroked his back trying to console him. A few moments later an older yordle proceeded through the clinic's door. The young man had thick glasses and was carrying a small dog kit at his side.

The dark yellow yordle fixed his glasses as he made his way into the room, noticing the kids in the room. The nurse was behind him.

"I'm going to need you to move to the side, young man." The yordle doctor was wearing a long beige labcoat filled with vials and flasks.

Teemo whispered to Kennen as he was the closest to Hailun. "I think he means you."

Kennen was still sobbing so Teemo had to ease him back a bit and continued to try to settle him down.

"Maybe you should take him elsewhere?" The doctor looked at Teemo expecting him to comply.

The brown yordle shook his head and spoke in a cracking voice. "No!"

"I see, well let's see what we have here." The man walked up next to Hailun's body and placed his bag on the bed next to him.

The bigger cub was still crying and the doctor tried to ignore it as he started to work. He pulled out a syringe and proceeded to take some of Hailun's blood. He looked back over at the crying cub and pulled a lollipop out of his labcoat and offered it to him. Kennen hesitantly took the thing and began sucking on it, muffling his sorrow a bit.

The doctor squeezed out some of the blood onto a slide. He tapped the side of his glasses, causing a buzz and whir as a small-looking device popped in front of his eyes. He looked through it and at the blood that was on the slide. After a few seconds of examining it, he put it back down and hit the side of his glasses again, causing the looking device to retract back into his glasses.

"It appears the boy is suffering from poisoning. He needs to be treated with anti-venom. I am uncertain how much it has spread through his body."

The doctor touched Hailun's head. It was cold and devoid of much body heat at all. He took out a stethoscope and proceeded to take his heartbeat. The man said nothing as he listened for a few moments. Hailun's heartbeat was still present but sounded to be weak. He took the stethoscope off the cub's chest and grabbed a vial from his coat. He examined the label for a moment before sticking the same syringe he had used before into it.

He inserted it into Hailun's arm and plunged the liquid into him. Once he was done, he withdrew the syringe.

"So…will he be alright?" Teemo asked the obvious question since it was deafly silent in the room.

The man nodded. "He should be fine once the anti-venom runs its course. I gave him enough for two doses, which is more than enough for a boy his size."

"See? You can stop crying now…" The smaller boy continued to stroke Kennen's back.

The doctor disposed of the needle tip in the garbage before collecting his things. "The boy needs rest and hydration. He will also need food when he's awake but that will likely be a while."

"Thanks, doc." Kennen said, still a bit muffled.

The man ruffled the distraught cub's fur. "Your friend will be fine, I promise."

The man grabbed his bag and made his way out, leaving only the nurse with the cubs.

"You all should go get lunch, your teacher told me you skipped out on it to rescue your friend. I will watch over him for now. Feel free to check back at the end of the day, though I will have to have his parents pick him up." The woman suggested as she didn't want the other kids to go hungry.

Teemo helped Kennen up. "Come on, let's go get some food. I know you have to be as hungry as I am."

Kennen nodded and followed Teemo out of the clinic. They saw no signs of the other kids, assuming they had already gone back to class. The two cubs made their way down the halls until they reached the cafeteria. The mess hall was empty this time of day since it was late and the rest of the students had already eaten. Still, the lunch room had been informed of what had happened and small trays of food had been set up for them to grab.

Kennen and Teemo grabbed themselves a tray of food. Teemo made sure to sit down next to the brown yordle as he was certain he would need support.

"You alright? I know that was a lot to take in back there." The smaller boy attempted to squeeze his friend tight.

Kennen nodded. "Yeah, I feel a little bit better knowing that he will be fine…but still…"

"But nothing…Hailun's health is all that matters right now, right? Now go on and eat…I'm sure he wouldn't want you to go hungry." Teemo figured that would be incentive enough to spur him on.

The bigger boy smiled. "Yeah, I guess your right."

Teemo began eating, going through his meal rather quickly as he was hungry since it was late and he had only eaten the mushrooms in the forest. Kennen was a bit slower to eat but still managed to get through all of his food. Teemo looked at one of the clocks and saw it was almost the end of the day.

"I don't think we'll need to go back to class so we can hang out here if you want."  Teemo figured it didn't matter since it was so late.

Kennen finished up his food. "Thanks for your help today. I couldn't have done it without you."

"Well, yeah. Of course, he's my friend too ya know?" Teemo smiled widely.

The bigger cub began to tear up a bit. "I don't know what I would have done without him…"

"Don't think like that…alright? The doctor said he will be okay." The smaller yordle squeezed Kennen in a hug again.

Kennen sniffled. "Yeah, but what do we do about Veigar? This is…his fault."

"I know you're probably mad at him but it's best to just let the school handle it. Don't go getting in trouble because of Veigar. He's on thin ice as it is." Teemo figured they had suspended the black yordle or something of the line.

The brown yordle wiped his nose on his sleeve. "Still…why would he do that?"

"Because Veigar's a jerk. That's why no one is his friend. Not even Vex wants to hang around with him anymore." The smaller cub groaned a bit as if disgusted.

Kennen hummed a moment. "I guess your right."

"Don't worry about Veigar. Justice will be served." Teemo gave him a thumbs up.

Kennen nodded. "I want to do something nice for Hailun when he comes back around."

"Yeah? Like what? What do you have in mind?" Teemo perked up in curiosity, thinking maybe he could help.

"Well, when I am sick my mom always made sure I had my plushy around. Maybe he would like to keep it while he's in bed?" Kennen hardly ever used the plush anymore as he felt like he had outgrown it.

Teemo hesitated before answering. "I think that's a good idea if you think he'll like it."

"Cool, thanks
 for the input. I'll drop it off at his place tonight." Kennen smiled widely.

The final school bell rang before long. When Kennen and Teemo went to check on Hailun, they found the cub had already been picked up by his parents. Kennen figured this would allow him to pick up and drop off the plush he had in mind.

"I'll catch you tomorrow, alright Teemo?" Kennen said excusing himself as he wanted to take care of it alone.

Teemo nodded. "Yeah, let me know if you need any help."

Kennen waved to his friend before making his way out of the school. He felt much better now that he knew Hailun would be alright. Still, he wanted to do something nice for him and check in on his boyfriend. The boy made his way home and tried to go about his day like normal. It had been a long stressful day for him and he couldn't stop thinking about it.

Once he arrived at his home, he bolted past his mother who was confused by his sudden arrival and rushed attitude.

"Something wrong?" She could sense something was up even if he said nothing.

Kennen spoke back at her. "I'll be back later, Hailun had an incident today so I'm going to go check on him."

"I see." She said, deciding that she would inquire with the boy's parents once Kennen had left.

The cub grabbed the small plush animal from his bed. It was one from when he was a child, a dinosaur designed to look like a Stegosaurus. He hugged it before clutching it in his hand. The boy figured his friend needed it more than he did right now. Kennen headed back out of the house with the toy in his hand. Some people looked at him as he passed by them with the toy in his hand, but he ignored them.

Kennen arrived at Hailun's place at a pretty good time. He had walked briskly enough that he covered the distance quicker. He stood at the door and knocked, waiting for an answer. The door soon opened and he was greeted by the cub's father.

"Ah Kennen, right?" The older red panda smiled down at him.

Kennen nodded with a smile on his face, holding the small stuffed animal up toward him. "Uh-huh. I was wondering if you could give this to Hailun?"

"No, I can't." The man smirked as he bluffed in front of the boy.

Kennen stood there shocked at the rejection. "How come?"

Hailun's father folded his arms with a grin on his face. "Because I think he would prefer if you gave it to him."

"Is he awake?" Kennen said as hope was rekindled inside of him, giving him a renewed sense of warmth.

The man moved to the side. "Why not go and see yourself, kiddo?"

"Oh, thank you." The boy bowed deeply and showed himself inside.

The father watched as Kennen forgot to take his shoes off but he decided not to make a big ordeal out of it. The brown yordle made his way back through the hallway, still clutching the small plush in his arms. Once he was close enough to Hailun's door, Kennen knocked on it and waited a second. He heard no noise from the inside so he slowly pushed the door in and made his way inside.

"Hailun?" Kennen approached the cub's bed.

Hailun was still bedridden but heard the boy's voice. "Kennen…?"

"Yeah…how are you feeling?" The bigger cub peered over the boy's bed looking at his resting form.

The red panda cub cracked a smile. "Crummy…I have a headache and my body is sore."

"I'm so happy you're alright…I was so worried about you." Kennen began to tear up a bit again, still clutching the dinosaur.

The smaller yordle tried moving but his body didn't have the strength to do it. "Aw…please don't cry."

"I'm just…so…happy." The brown yordle sniffled and wiped his eyes with the plush.

Hailun's mind still drew a blank about what had happened since he had blacked out. "I'm better now…I think."

"Yeah, the doctors gave you medicine and said you would be better after some rest."  Kennen held out the plush to Hailun, expecting him to take it.

The red panda squinted a bit. "What's that? I can't move yet…"

"I figured you could use some company while you are sick…so I brought you an old friend."  Kennen put the thing underneath Hailun's arms.

Hailun whined a bit as the pain spiked up a bit again. "Thanks…"

"Get some rest, alright?" Kennen leaned in and kissed Hailun on the forehead.

The red panda's eyes closed again as he was trying to deal with his pain, groaning a bit.

"He needs some rest, kiddo but thanks for coming." The man's father had watched the two from behind.

Kennen turned around. "Thanks for letting me see him. See you, Hailun…get better soon."

"All good. I knew he would want to see you." The boy's father led Kennen back out of the home.

"May I come back to check on him?" Kennen wasn't sure if the cub's parents wanted him around with the other boy sick.

The man patted him on the head. "Give him a bit. He needs to rest and I don't think he'll rest with you around."

"Alright, I will respect your wishes." Kennen bowed deeply again to the older man before turning around to leave.

The man watched as Kennen left. The cub went back home and reported to his parents, who had already been told about the issue by Hailun's own. Kennen seemed to be in a good mood all the same so they figured the other boy had to be improving. Still, they didn't pry about the issue or about what happened. They knew the boys were rather close and didn't want to pour salt on the wound of what had happened.

It was a few days before Hailun recovered. He still had no recollection of what had happened. His parents wouldn't tell him when he asked. He ended up having to miss Scouts, but he was still in no state to get out of bed when that rolled around. Hailun continued to be fed in bed and occasionally asked about Kennen. His parents told him it would have to wait until he was stronger as they didn't want him to over-exert himself.

It was already the middle of the next week when Hailun finally got out of bed. His body wobbled a bit as it had been a while since he used a bit. He struggled to maintain his balance but after a few steps, he regained his gate. He wanted very much to go back to school and see his friends, especially Kennen. He was hoping that his parents would let him go. The cub made slow methodical steps until he was in the kitchen.

"Morning, mom." He said while holding the wall for support.

She turned around as if surprised. "Oh, my you're out of bed?"

"Yeah, I feel better today. Just a little weak." The boy gritted his teeth to try and show he was strong enough to support himself.

The woman rushed up to him and held him up. "You're still in no shape to get up…"

"I'm tired of being in bed…I want to go to school and see my friends." Hailun protested.

She sighed. "But honey…you're weak…."

"I can't stay in bed forever, mom." The red panda tried to push off her to continue to walk on his own.

The mother rolled her eyes. "Stubborn as ever…I suppose you're right though."

"So, can I go to school?" Hailun said with a hopeful grin.

The flicked his nose. "Under one condition…"

"What's that?" The red panda was willing to do anything to get out of the house.

She turned around and headed back towards the stove. "That someone helps you get around until you're strong enough to walk on your own."

"Maybe Kennen will help me out. I wouldn't mind asking him." Hailun didn't like the idea of relying on someone but figured he had no choice.

The woman smirked at him. "I figured you would say that."

"I don't think he'll mind helping me out a little bit." The boy just wanted to spend time with his beloved.

She winked. "I will let his parents know to tell him to come to pick you up. Now come eat breakfast and I will help you get ready."

"But Mom...I…" The cub was interrupted by her.

The older red panda turned around and pointed at him as if to scold him. "But nothing…no buts mister."

"Fine…" Hailun knew he was fighting a losing battle.

She helped him to the table and gave him a heartier breakfast than he normally ate. He hadn't eaten as much lately so he was more than ready to devour it, making quick work of it. When his mother took him back to his room to help him get dressed, he insisted on trying himself. She watched on with concern as she was certain he wouldn't be able to pull it off. Still, with some effort, he was able to dress.

Soon enough there was a knock on the door. Hailun's face lit up a bit as he figured he knew where it was. As he got up from the bed, he slipped on his bum.

"Hang tight, bub. I know you are excited to see him but let's not get hurt. I'm not sure your little boyfriend wouldn't like that." She teased him a bit.

The older red panda helped him up and guided him over to the door, opening it for him. Sure enough, Kennen had already arrived.

"Alright, Kennen. He's still pretty weak but he insisted on going to school. So promise me you'll help him out today?" She stared him down to make sure he knew she was serious.

The brown yordle nodded. "Yes, ma'am."

The older yordle passed her son off to him, attaching his right arm across the other boy's shoulder.

"No funny business today, Hailun. I don't need you getting hurt any worse than you already are." She kneeled to be at eye level with him.

She then looked at Kennen. "See if you can help him get some therapy. He will need it."

He nodded again and she handed him the other cub's bag.

 "Bye, Mom." Hailun didn't bother waving since he was holding onto Kennen.

Kennen began walking slowly as if to take it easy. The other cub was walking to the side of him and was just using him as an aid so it wasn't as hard as he thought.

"I guess you're feeling better, huh?" Kennen was certain that was the case.

Hailun nodded and struggled along. "Yeah, I was tired of being cramped up in bed."

"Hehe, well it's nice to see you out and about it. I can't wait to hang out again with you." The brown yordle said as they moved their way slowly down the street.

The red panda sighed. "My parent's probably won't let me for a while. I had to argue
 to get out today."

"Alright, we'll see how it goes. It's not like either of us can argue with them." Kennen knew better than to argue with his elders.

Hailun groaned. "Yeah, you're right. I missed you though."

"I missed you too." The bigger boy squeezed his boyfriend's hand.

The two continued to struggle along until they reached the school. Poppy was the first one to spot the two hobbling in steps.

"You want some help, Kennen?" She was certain he would appreciate the offer.

Kennen squinted a bit. "Yeah, he's heavy. Can you take him a bit?"

She motioned herself under the other arm of the other boy and propped him up. "How ya feeling, hero?"

"I'm alright. Just a little weak. My mother said I might need therapy." Hailun sighed as he didn't know what was involved in that.

Kennen leaned in and kissed the other boy on the cheek. "It will be fine. We'll get the school to get you some help."

Poppy helped Hailun into the school with Kennen hot on their heels. Kennen was still carrying both of their bags. The girl figured the clinic would be able to help with the boy's issue. They showed up at the infirmary. The woman recognized him as the cub from the other day.

"Ah, good. He's returned. I suppose he is here for therapy?" She looked at him clutching onto Poppy's shoulder, clearly unable to stand on his own volition.

Hailun nodded. "I suppose.

"You don't need to worry…therapy has come a long way. There is a medicine we have to help you do it on your own. You will need to take it 3 times a day." The woman had it delivered the other day when students were recovering from broken bones.

The red panda cocked an eyebrow. "Really?"

"There is no need to keep you here for therapy. You are young and capable enough. Go ahead and take this now…then every few hours as you feel weakness return to you. Eventually, your muscles will strengthen on their own. You should only need this for a week." She handed him a small yellow vial with some pills in it.

Hailun looked at it and fingered it for a second. Kennen took the thing and opened it for him, offering him a pill as he wanted nothing more than to see him get better. The red panda smiled and kissed the boy's hand inadvertently as he took it from him. The bigger boy patted him on the head.

"The effects will not be immediate. He will likely need your help for a few hours. I assume Poppy will be your helper for the time being?" She looked at both of the able-bodied cubs and sized them up.

Poppy looked at Kennen. "What would you like? He's your boyfriend after all."

"Hailun, do you have a preference?" Kennen was still sore from lugging him around before school.

The red panda shook his head. "Nah, whoever is fine. I don't want to be a burden. You can take a break, Kennen."

Poppy propped herself up again and lifted the boy with ease. "No problem, hero."

"Hailun, you can share Poppy's schedule for today then. I will inform the teachers." The nurse left them alone.

"Thanks, Poppy." Kennen patted her on the back.

She rearranged herself and took the vial from Kennen. "No problem. I will take care of him, don't worry."

"I know you will." Kennen gave her Hailun's bag and headed to class.

Poppy and Hailun made their way to the girl's first class. Sitting together out of necessity.

"Thanks for helping me." Hailun felt a bit helpless but was glad he had friends to help him.

She huffed. "No problem. You're not that heavy anyways."

"You're pretty strong, you know that?" The red panda tried to compliment her.

The bigger girl grinned. "Thanks."

Hailun continued to follow along with Poppy for a few hours. By lunchtime, some of his strength had returned to him and he was able to walk with a limp. The girl was glad he was showing some independence but was still there if needed as a crutch. Hailun tried to maintain himself but hobbled off every so often. The boy tried to not rely on her but Poppy wasn't willing to let him operate on his own just yet.

"Thanks for your help today." Hailun said to make sure her effort was being appreciated.

Poppy patted him on the shoulder. "No problem, hero."

Hailun tried to wean off her in the lunch line. She watched him warily but he was standing on his own well enough.

They were able to make their way through the line without much of an issue. Poppy held his tray just in case as Hailun walked along with his occasional limp.

"Where do you like to sit?" She was certain he would sit by Kennen but the other boy hadn't shown up.

Hailun pointed to where Gnar was sitting and she walked over with him to the table before sitting down on his tray.

"I'll be back to get you after lunch. I'm going to go hang out with Lulu for a little bit." Poppy waved to the cub as she walked off.

"Gnar!" The orange yordle smiled widely.

Hailun smiled back at him. "Hey, Gnar."

"Poochaca? The smaller cub looked at his friend seeming concerned about it.

The red panda started eating. "I'm feeling better now, how are you?"

"Hooba." The smaller boy started eating again.

Hailun took a swig of his drink. "We should hang out again sometime soon."

"Vigishu. Vrooboo?" Gnar was still intent on finishing his meal.

Hailun thought about it a second. "We can do whatever you want."

It wasn't long before Kennen joined them, sitting across from them. "How ya feeling?"

"I'm a little bit better. Poppy is still helping me. I need to take another pill, though." Hailun reached into his pocket and pulled out the vial he had been given.

Kennen scratched his head. "Maybe if you're up for it, do you want to try to do something after school?"

Hailun looked at Gnar who simply shrugged at him. "I told Gnar I would hang out with him."

"Shugi no lagga." Gnar shrugged as it didn't seem to matter to him.

The red panda felt bad. "Are you sure? It's been a while since we did anything."

"Goova Okanoo." The smaller cub slapped the bigger yordle on the back playfully.

Hailun smiled. "Thanks, Gnar. I promise we'll hang out tomorrow then."

"So…are we on for after school? Is it a…date…?" Kennen smirked a bit.

The smaller cub nodded. "Yeah, sure. What did you have in mind?"

"The cinema is doing a special screening of a movie. I was thinking you would like to go with me." Kennen was hopeful that he would agree.

The red panda thought about it for a second. "I'm not sure my parents will let me since I'm still recovering."

"We can ask them after school. It's worth a shot, right?" The bigger cub knew better than to push his limits.

Hailun shrugged. "Yeah, it would be nice to hang out again. I don't think my parents will mind if they see that I'm recovering with the medicine."

"Right, I don't want you to go and make it any worse." Kennen started eating his food.

Hailun took the medication and finished his meal. The three of them remained mostly quiet for the remainder of the meal. The red panda was hopeful his parents would agree but still wasn't sure what they would be alright with. He swallowed a pill, wondering if he should take another but decided not to go against the nurse's orders.

The rest of the day went by normally for Hailun and his friends. Poppy continued to be at his side for the remainder of the day. The red panda showed periodic progress as the day moved on. By the time the day rolled around, he was walking on his own without much of an issue. The cub seems to be back to his happy-go-lucky self. Poppy still kept at his side to make sure he didn't have any relapses.

When the bell rang, Hailun thanked Poppy for her help. The cub felt that he could handle himself now and took his bag from her. She nodded to him, glad she could be of assistance.  The red panda made his way out of the school to the front yard of the building. It was busy outside and Amumu waved to him as he hadn't seen him all day.  The green yordle was hanging out with Rumble and came over to see how Hailun was doing.

"Looks like you're doing much better than the other day. That's good." Amumu said as he smiled at the other yordle.

Hailun nodded. "Yeah, well they gave me medicine to help with my recovery. I still feel weak and it kind of hurts but it's helping a lot."

"Well…don't go overdoing it. You were in pretty bad shape when they found you." Amumu frowned a bit.

The red panda touched his shoulder. "What happened anyways?

Amumu proceeded to tell him the tale, leaving out the part that Veigar had left him behind.

"Oh…so I got separated from the group? I guess that makes sense. Well, thanks for coming to my rescue."  Hailun looked down as he was disappointed in himself.

The green yordle tipped up the other boy's chin. "There's no reason to be down about it. It wasn't your fault anyways."

It wasn't much longer before Kennen showed up and patted his boyfriend on the back. "Ready to head out?"

"Cya later, Amumu." Hailun grabbed Kennen's hand and held it tightly in his own.

Kennen looked up and down the boy's body. "Looks like the medicine is doing its work."

"Oh right…I should take another." The red panda reached into his pocket and popped a pill in his maw.

The bigger cub patted him on the head as Amumu and Rumble left the other two boys alone. Kennen and Hailun began to walk together toward the red panda's home. It didn't take them nearly as long since Hailun was walking on his own accord.

"By the way, thanks for the plush. He smelt just like you." Hailun squeezed Kennen's hand tighter.

Kennen smirked. "And I guess that's a good thing?"

"Yeah, I like how you smell." The red panda still wasn't sure what he liked about it but it didn't bother him as much anymore.

The two eventually arrived at Hailun's door and knocked. Hailun had forgotten his key in his rush to get out the door this morning. His mother soon opened the door.

"Oh, hey look who it is. It's the two lover boys." She looked at her son and examined him a moment.

Hailun blushed profusely. "Mom…."

"Lemme guess, you wanna go hang
 out with him?"  The boy's mother folded her arms expectantly.

The red panda nodded. "Uh-huh. Please can I, mom?"

"It does seem like the therapy has worked on you. Kennen, if he shows any signs of weakness I want him home. Is that clear?" She stared down at the bigger boy.

"Yes, ma'am. I intend to keep my promise." He bowed deeply to her.

She reached out to take Hailun's bag. "Then go and have fun boys. I wanna hear all about it, Hailun. Deal?"

"Thanks, mom!" The boy handed over his bag to her.

Kennen waved to her and smiled. They made their way away from the home. She watched them closely.  She still couldn't believe how close they were but the issue didn't bother her.

Hailun continued to follow Kennen to the grand pavilion. It was one of the parks in bandle city that were open-air. Only a few trees scattered around the area blocked the otherwise clear view of the sky. A large screen had been set up for what the yordles called Screencasting. Screencasting itself was a simple enough process of displaying images and scenes onto the screen itself. It was by all accounts a makeshift movie theater.

Hailun and Kennen arrived pretty early. There wasn't anyone around yet. Kennen began to wonder what they could do to pass time until the show started.

"Wanna go to the playset?" Kennen suggested as he didn't have any better ideas.

Hailun cocked his eyebrow. "Aren't we a bit big for that?"

"So? It's not like anyone is here. Let's go have fun." The bigger cub pulled on his boyfriend goading him to follow along.

Hailun scrunched his eyes. "Ow…careful, Kennen."

"Sorry, come on." Kennen guided him along more gingerly this time.

They made their way to the playset which was a small assortment of slides, a set of monkey bars, a jungle gym, a plastic house, and some swings.

"Here…get on. I'll push you." Kennen rushed behind one of the swings and waited for Hailun to mount it.

The red panda hesitated a moment before going through with it. His butt and tail barely fit onto the small chair of the swing. Kennen began pushing him along, keeping it slow so that the other cub didn't fall out. The red panda couldn't help but chuckle a bit as it made him feel a little nostalgic.

"See?" Kennen soon sat in the swing next to him and began to swing.

The two yordles began swinging back and forth for a good while. Both of them chuckle and smile, seeming rather enjoy themselves. It was starting to get dark which meant the movie would likely be starting soon. Hailun picked himself up from the seat and noticed Kennen was stuck on the swing. He helped pry the plastic off his butt and the two rejoined paws once again as they made their way back to the pavilion.

A small line had already begun to assemble in front of it. Hailun and Kennen made their way to the line. They waited for a bit until it was their turn to get tickets. The red panda reached into his pocket to pull out his coin purse. Kennen stopped him and ended up paying for both tickets. Hailun leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thanks, dude. What movie is it anyways?" Hailun looked around and saw no indication of signage.

Kennen shrugged. "I dunno. I just wanted to spend time with you."

Hailun smiled and the two made their way into the event area. It was much busier now so the two boyfriends looked around for an open spot. Kennen continued to lead over towards one of the sides of the complex under the trees, away from most of the people.  Hailun was about to sit down before he was stopped.

"Wait…I have an idea." Kennen sat down right under the tree, propping his body up against it.

The red panda looked confused. "So…where I am supposed to sit."

Kennen patted the space right in front of him. "Lay down on me."

"Oh…okay." Hailun kneeled before pushing himself against the other boy's chest.

The bigger cub moved his arms so Hailun could squeeze and then laid them on top of the boy's chest. Kennen crossed his arms and let them relax, occasionally stroking his chest back and forth.

"Are you comfortable like this?" Hailun angled his head to look up at the sitting boy.

Kennen leaned his head down a bit and kisses Hailun's head. "I'll be okay. Shh…the movie's starting."

The movie started before long. It was one of those cheesy sci-fi movies that had a poorly developed storyline. It was an old film from a bygone era and its charm had long since passed. Hailun and Kennen watched with muted interest at the start. The action seems building toward the conflict was nothing great. Special effects were spotty and even the music was nothing to be crazy about.

About halfway through the movie, the two boys began to doze off. Hailun was bored, though he didn't want to leave. He couldn't tell that Kennen had already closed his eyes from where he was sitting. They eventually fell asleep, snoozing through the second part of the film. When the credits rolled, the audience applauded. Despite the boys feeling about the film it seemed like everyone else liked it.

Kennen roused to the noise of the clapping. He was confused about what had happened. He didn't even realize he fell asleep. Looking down Hailun was still dozing off. He thought the other boy looked so peaceful while he was resting. Kennen didn't want to move and yet he knew eventually they would be kicked out. He gently pushed Hailun's body a few times to get him to wake up.

Hailun eventully opened his eyes and spoke groggily. "Oh…sorry. Did I fall asleep? I didn't mean to."

"I fell asleep too…that movie was boring. We need to get going though before they kick us out." Kennen waited a second for the smaller cub to move.

The red panda scrunched his eyes as the pain in his body returned. "I need help….I think the medicine wore off."

Kennen pushed his head under the other boy's arm and moved both of them up. He was willing to put up with it again. After all, he had invited the boy out despite knowing that he hadn't fully recovered yet.

"Sorry, I guess we shouldn't have come." Kennen said feeling a bit guilty.

Hailun grunted a bit. "It's fine. I had fun."

"Let's get you home. Hopefully, your mom won't be too angry." The brown yordle was certain he would be yelled at.

They made their way out park and back towards Hailun's house. It took them longer than it did to get there since Hailun didn't get there under his power. Kennen struggled to manage as the other boy seemed to rely entirely on him to get around. Still, he was able to manage to power through it through sheer willpower and the fact he felt indebted for causing it.

Kennen and his boyfriend arrived at Hailun's house before long. Hailun locked the door and waited for an answer. It took a few seconds before the door opened.

"Ah, you two are back. I suppose the medicine wore off, Hailun?" The boy's mother figured that was the case since he was still holding onto Kennen for support.

Kennen was confused, he thought she would be angry. "You're not upset?

"Oh, no You made it home for dinner and he does not seem injured. Did you have fun, Hailun?" She smiled widely as she was certain that was the case.

Hailun nodded and scrunched his eyes a bit. "Yeah, I'm a bit sore now though."

"Of course you are…you did a lot for a boy who only just started therapy. Here…let me help you." The boy's mother picked him up and cradled him as if he were a baby again.

The bigger boy wiped the sweat on his forehead away. "Thanks for letting him come."

"No problem, did you want to stay for dinner?" Hailun's weight didn't seem to bother her at all.

Kennen hummed. "I dunno. I'd need to ask my parents."

"Don't worry yourself about that…I took the liberty of doing that. In fact…they are here. I invited them over when you told me you guys were going out."  She held the door open for him.

Kennen perked up a bit. "Oh, okay. Then…yes please."

"Hailun, no more medicine tonight…you need to chillax…alright?" The cub's mother looked intently into her son's eyes.

Hailun chirped and pocketed the vial. "Okay, mom."

Kennen made sure to shuffle off his shoes at the door and made his way to the kitchen. Sure enough, his parents were already at the table.

"Hey, kiddo. We figured it was about time we met your boyfriend's parents. We hope you don't mind." His father stared him down with sincerity.

Kennen nodded knowing he didn't have much of a choice. "I guess."

"Hailun's family seems wonderful. We hope you two are very happy together." Kennen's mother commented as she sipped some wine.

Hailun's mother had taken him into the bedroom and sat him on the bed. "Kennen's parents are already in the kitchen. Do you want to get undressed before dinner?"

"No, I'm alright in my school stuff I think." Hailun's uniform had grass and dirt on it from where he had sat down on the lawn at the movie.

She waved her finger at him. "Suit yourself but after dinner, it's right to the shower…you stink."

"Okay, mom." Hailun huffed as he smelt himself.

The boy's mother began to make her way out. "Dinner will be ready soon. I will send Kennen to get you."

"Can't I come now?" The red panda didn't want Kennen to be alone with all of the adults.

She held up a single finger. "In a minute…I just want to have a word with him alone. Is that alright?"

"Okay…." Hailun couldn't help but be nervous about whatever she wanted to talk to Kennen about.

The red panda woman made her way back to the kitchen. Kennen was still standing awkwardly across from his parents.

"I'm going to borrow him a minute, is that alright?" She asked the boy's parents from across the kitchen.

They nodded and Kennen sighed in relief before following her. She led him into the living room to the sofa. She sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to her. Kennen felt the nerves in his stomach begin to knot up.

"Am I in trouble?" Kennen looked down at his own socked feet.
She shook her head twice. "No, I just wanted to talk to you for a minute.
 We've never had a heart to heart and I think it's about time."

"I….okay." Kennen was shaking as he sat down next to the bigger woman.

The older red panda could see that he was scared. "Relax…I promise it's not bad."

"Sorry…" The boy still couldn't stop but tried to settle him down.

She sighed. "I know you two are close. That's fine. I am perfectly fine with you being his boyfriend. He is quite taken by you. He talks about you all the time."

"He does?" Kennen seemed surprised that was the case since Hailun had so many other friends.

She held up a finger to his lips to silence him. "You two are young. At their age where romance is new and exciting. I just don't want either of you to get hurt by each other."

"Why…" Again he was muffled by her finger.

Hailun's mother continued speaking. "Let me finish. I know what happened at school the other day and I heard you went after him in the Bandlewood. Even if you had help, that was very brave of you."

Kennen's vanity made him shy away even despite his somewhat proud nature.

She turned his head back forward to look at her to know she was serious. "So while I may have thought it was puppy love at first. I know now that it is much more than that. Am I correct?"

The cub nodded softly.

She smirked. "As I thought. That will be all. Hailun is waiting in his room. Dinner will be done shortly. We will call you when we're ready."

Kennen got up and bowed deeply before excusing himself. The conversation wasn't as bad as he expected. He popped his head into Hailun's room and saw the boy sitting on his bed.

"Hope that went well." Hailun was curious how the conversation had gone.

Kennen stepped inside but didn't bother to shut the door. "You mean the talk with your Mom? It went fine. She didn't seem upset with me."

"What was it about anyways?" The red panda wasn't sure what to make of it.

The bigger boy sat next to his boyfriend and shared the details of the conversation.

"You feeling any better now?" Kennen put his arm over Hailun and pulled him in close.

Hailun sniffed the bigger boy a bit. "I'm still sore and achy but I'll be alright. Do you want Steggie back?"

"Oh, uh…sure if you want."  The bigger cub blushed as his old toy's name was mentioned.

The red panda groaned. "I…still can't move so can you help me get it…?"

Kennen leaned in and eased the boy on his back so that he was flat on the bed. "Better?"

"That's not what I meant…" Hailun huffed a bit.

The bigger cub craned his body over his boyfriend. "Nope…it's not but this is better."

Hailun cocked an eyebrow. "Why..? I still can't grab it like this…"

"For this…" Kennen leaned in and kissed the other boy passionately on the lips, remaining on top of him for several seconds.

The brown yordle pulled back after a few seconds and helped Hailun back into a sitting position. Both boy's faces were flush red with embarrassment. They remained silent for a few seconds but continued to look into each other's eyes.

"Sorry to interrupt the moment boys, but it's time for dinner." Hailun's mother chuckled as she watched the passionate kiss unfold.

Kennen put his head under Hailun's shoulder and helped carry him to the kitchen. Kennen's father patted him on the head as they passed by. Two seats had been saved at the table next to each other. A rather large meal in front of them. The brown yordle sat his friend down before taking the seat next to him. The group shared a cheers to good health before Kennen's parents started speaking.

"Hailun….Kennen. Hailun's parents have told us all about your escapades at school and beyond. Your loyalty to each other is unquestionable." Kennen's father took a swig of his wine.

Kennen's mother held her glass up. "To new and true relationships. May they last as long as the boys will it."

Hailun's parents stood up. "Thank you to the Tempests for coming to our fine home for dinner. We now consider you part of our extended family."

Both boy's looked confused at each other. It all seemed to be going well but they still had no idea about the purpose of it.

The red panda's parents sat back down and began eating. A short silence followed as the group of yordles began eating. Hailun struggled a bit as he fought with the food. Kennen ended up having to serve him the food instead. Both groups of parents chuckling at him playfully as they watched Kennen go out of his way for Hailun.

"Hailun, Kennen's parents, and us have been talking for a while. You mentioned wanting to have a sleepover with Kennen. You two may sleepover at Kennen's this weekend…under one condition." She looked at Hailun and awaited his acknowledgment.

She pointed at Hailun. "You must continue your treatment. You need to recover more. You've been out of bed one day. No more overdoing it like you did tonight. Boyfriend or not, your body is in no condition to expend energy like that just yet."

Kennen's father followed up. "Kennen, you are partly to blame. Don't get us wrong, we are happy you two had fun but Hailun is still weak and you made a promise to his parents to get him home without any problems. We don't want Hailun to get any more injured than he is."

Hailun clutched Kennen's hand and grabbed it tightly to show he supported the boy.

"Understood? No more funny business at least until Hailun is healed. Do both of you understand?" Hailun's father added as it seemed they were all in on setting things straight.

The red panda and his boyfriend nodded but said nothing.

"Lastly, we don't care that you show affection for each other. Just be careful where you do it. Not everyone is okay with boys being together." Kennen's mother warned them of the obvious issue.

"Now that that's out of the way, everyone can eat and enjoy themselves!" Hailun's mother announced.

They continued eating until the meal was done. Hailun was the last one to finish since Kennen had to feed it to him.  The families had decided on no dessert since it was a school night.

"No chores tonight, Hailun. Kennen, feel free to take him to his room but it's time to say good night." Kennen's mother instructed him.

The brown yordle acted as a makeshift aid for the smaller yordle as he helped him back to his room and sat him back down on the bed.

"Hailun…if you want I'll open the window and see if I can sneak over later tonight if you want to hang out more." Kennen suggested with a smirk.

Hailun felt a bit nervous about it. "But they said no more funny business. I don't want to get in trouble."

"They won't know…trust me, alright?" Kennen grabbed his plush from the bed.

Hailun sighed. "Alright….as long as you sure."

"I'm sure…I just want to make up for the crummy movie." The brown yordle still felt bad about the boring movie.

The red panda murmured. "But…I had fun."

"If you don't want me to come tonight, then I won't." The bigger boy didn't want to force the issue.

Hailun thought about it a second. "Okay…I'm game."

"What did you do with the medicine?" Kennen knew Hailun would have to take a pill to do anything.

The red panda hummed. "It's in my pocket."

Kennen reached inside to take it out and popped a pill in Hailun's mouth. "I'll be back later."

Kennen opened the window and proceeded out of the room and back into the living room. Hailun's mother soon came in to check on him, helping him get set up in the bathroom to bathe. The cub had to use the bath since he couldn't stand up anymore.  His mother had to scrub him again as she had to do the previous few days, much to Hailun's humiliation. When he was clean, she helped him get dressed and ready for bed.
 
She tucked him in and closed the door behind him. Hailun could feel a little better now and some movement had returned to him. He shifted in his bed but saw no signs of Kennen. The red panda had no idea how long he would be and was eager to see him again. He was feeling a bit restless from the energy the medicine had given him. He continued to toss and turn as fatigue did not overpower his medicated mind.

A few hours passed and Hailun heard some rustling of leaves. He peered out the window and saw Kennen climbing up the window. The other cub struggled to get over the top of it, landing with a muffled thud on Hailun's bed. The two began whispering to each other.

"I wasn't sure you would make it." Hailun said as he helped the boy over onto his back.

Kennen was huffing and puffing, having worked up a sweat over running to Hailun's house. "I wouldn't lie to you."

"Yeah, so what did you want to do? I feel a little bit better now." The red panda said before he showed that he could move a bit.

The brown yordle pushed himself as close to Hailun as possible. "I was thinking we could have a little fun…"

"Doing what? It's late…" Hailun was still a little naïve as to Kennen's intention.

Kennen reached in and kissed Hailun's neck. "I was thinking we could try something…different."

"Yeah? Like what?" The smaller boy could pick up the boy's scent and it somewhat tantalized him.

The brown yordle reached down and groped Hailun. "I was thinking we could try making each other feel good again."

"Mmmph….I wouldn't mind doing that again." A sense of pleasure filled Hailun's body as he was touched down there.

Kennen removed his touch and started to remove his pants. "Strip down to your boxers…I have an idea."

Hailun didn't delay as he had already been turned on by the other cub's scent and rather forward action. He shoved down his pants and kicked them off to the bed. Kennen then pushed his already slightly tented member against the other boy's own. Hailun could feel the boy's sheath against his.

"Oh…" Yet he still wasn't sure what to do.

Kennen reached around the other cub and held him close, beginning to grind his clothed crotch against the other boys.  

"How's that…?" Kennen grunted a bit as he tried to deal with the sensation of the new pleasure.

Hailun's face had already turned red. "It feels…good."

Hailun soon began to reciprocate the action, grinding his bits against the other boys as they locked in a steady motion against each other. It wasn't much longer before they were at full mast, their red rockets tented against the silk of their boxers.

"Wanna….try it…naked…urf…" Kennen was already wet with precum and he couldn't quite get himself to stop even if he partly wanted to.

Hailun whined a bit, not letting the other cub back off instead continuing to grind each other's underwear as they were way into it. They kissed and continued to rub against each other's crotch. Kennen and Hailun cummed almost at the same time, seemingly one after the other. Their sticky mess rubbed against one another until both boys ceased in motion but remained in one another's arms. The brown yordle leaned forward to kiss his boyfriend's neck as the two lay there in a sexual stupor. It took them a few more moments until their loins retracted and they recovered enough to speak.

"Think…I could borrow a pair of your underwear?" Kennen looked at the wet mess in front of his own.

Hailun smirked and got up to head to his drawer, grabbing both of them. He returned to Kennen's side and held it up to Kennen. The brown yordle took hold of one of them. The boy sniffed it, just as Hailun had done his feet and socks a few weeks past. Hailun blushed a bit.

"Now I know what you mean about it smells nice…hehe." The cub took it away from his nose.

Hailun smirked. "You can keep my dirty ones if you want…so my mom doesn't find out you were here."

"Good idea…I'll return them after my parents wash them." Kennen snatched the other pair as well as his own from the bed.

Both boys got redressed after a short delay. They sat together at the end of the bed looking at one another.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow alright? Just let your mom let my parents know if you need me to pick you up in the morning. I'm gonna head home and get some sleep." Kennen started to straddle over the window to make his exit.

Hailun smiled and kissed him. "Okay, I love you."

Hailun watched as his boyfriend exited. He laid back down. His energy had been expended for the night so he wasn't quite as restless. His heart was soaring high again. He couldn't wait for the next day. A chance to see his friends and further his recovery. He only hoped it would go faster so that he might be able to go to the sleepover his heart had long desired. Looking into the sky once more at the stars, he allowed his mind to drift into dreamland.
