The story entries make it clear Rabbie behaves a lot like a chūnibyō. Although, some dialogue implies he knows he doesn't have superpowers. Rabbie's partner, named Tortling is bigger & tougher than Rabbie, but slightly unintelligent.
Often, the game depicts Rabbie as riding atop Tortling.

Still, in a lot of fiction, creatures have extraordinary or unexpected capabilities like strength, superpowers or intelligent. It's a little uncommon for a "monster" to only have delusions instead of having no superpowers at all, isn't it?

An unrelated species is Buneary.
It's cute, but like many Pokemon, its Pokedex entries indicate Buneary have at least some extraordinary capabilities:
"Its ears are always rolled up. They can be forcefully extended to shatter even a large boulder."

Another unrelated species of Pokemon:
"Able to understand human speech and very intelligent, it loves to swim in the sea with people on its back."

Rabbie acts like he thinks he has extraordinary capabilities, but doesn't. But a Buneary does!
& both Tortling & Lapras are known for carrying someone else, but Tortling acts less intelligent, & Lapras is known to be intelligent.

Thus, the idea:

Idea #1:
Rabbie->Female Buneary
As you know, chūnibyō etymologically originates from a term for students that are in 8th great or their 2nd year of middle school.
Because Rabbie seems like a chūnibyō character, perhaps have him become a Buneary of that age; A female Buneary that looks like in her 2nd year of middle school.
Buneary's blonde fur normally obscures its crotch. I think it'd be nice if she had a gap/hole in that fur to show her crotch.

& since Rabbie is transforming, & Rabbie & Tortling are partners, Tortling should, too! So:
Tortling->Female Lapras


Idea #2:

A species of Neopets is Usul. Most Neopets species can be a variety of "colours" & some have exclusive colours. Some colours have specific qualities or clothing.
For example, only Usuls can be the "Usuki Boy" colour.
However, "Usuki Boy" was designed before Neopet clothing customization; It didn't have any visual differences for gender, despite that any Usul, Male or Female, could be "Usuki Boy" coloured.
Usuki Boy Usuls have a very nice hairstyle... but before customization, Neopets were represented by premade images, so users couldn't remove an Usuki Boy Usul's hat. & after clothing customization was implemented, the Usuki Boy hair style & hat were both represented by the SAME item! So users STILL couldn't see what an Usuki Boy Usul looks like without the hat!
In the modern era, if a Female Usul is "Usuki Boy" coloured, there are minor differences, like eyelash style & the lack of goatee.

An individual Usul important to several plots in Neopets is Hannah. She's not "Usuki Boy" coloured, but her body structure does show how anthropomorphic an Usul can be.

A notable Neopian citizen is Kauvara. She's a magician, with her own shop, where Kauvara makes & sells magic items, especially potions!
Anyway, the idea:
Character: A young, anthropomorphic female Usul, with the hairstyle (But not the hat) of an "Usuki Boy" Usul. (Likely to wear casual or school clothes.)
Wanting to become more attractive, she buys a magic item. (Perhaps a potion or a magic wand?)

Optional: At home, in her bedroom, before bedtime, she decides to try using the magic item she bought.
The next day, at school, during class: While wearing her regular clothes, during class, she feels a strange, mild arousal as something presses against the inside of her panties! Despite this, she tries to focus on class.
Optional: Eventually, she can't stay focused in class, embarassed because she can feel a bulge in her panties. (Even though her skirt makes it hard to see the bulge in her underwear.)
