Many normal-sized people made business, and even friendly relationships with the giants--virtually, of course. A myriad of demarcations, treaties, and international committees ensured that dangerous incidents of people with vast size disparities crossing paths was nearly impossible. So, this fact of two, totally differently-sized worlds became somewhat inconsequential to the people living in both sides.\n\nHowever, in a remote territory bordering the exclusion zone, sometimes the odd scrap of refuse from the giant world to blow its way over. A grocery store receipt or candy wrapper would serve as a common reminder of the other world. One day, when workers from the territory's transportation department received a call highway blocked by a piece of trash, nothing could prepare them for what they would witness.\n\nAs the workers arrived on the chaotic scene, it was immediately apparent that this debris wasn't what they were used to. The traffic spanned for miles, something that never happened for some wrapper that would blow away. The object came in to view, and it was much bigger than any other other debris the team had handled. It was as large as an office building; and it was as heavy as one, too. The object's mass left a deep crater in the earth, and crushed several vehicles.\n\nAt first, due to the object's sheer size and its strange, lumpy, balled-up shape, the workers had trouble identifying what could be. Their best guess was some sort of garment. As soon as they opened the doors of their work truck, however, the object's identity soon became clear. An pungent odor radiated from the object and immediately overwhelmed the workers' senses. This horrid object from an alien land, emanating its choking aura, its placement here so [i]unconscionable[/i], so [i][b]EVIL[/b][/i]: a discarded soiled diaper.\n\nThe giant diaper filled the workers with so many questions: \"Should we have PPE on right now?\" \"How the hell are we supposed to move this?\" \"Wait, if a [i]baby[/i] wore that thing....how big [i]ARE[/i] those giants?!\"\n\nBut even after all of those questions, one thing was certain: that diaper didn't just blow over here. No, those giants transgressed into sovereign, normal-size territory. Territory earned through centuries of hardship and bargaining. And in addition to their unlawful incursion, the giants dump this soiled diaper as the ultimate insult to the normal-size people. Was this a sick, immovable monument of how the giants felt about the normal-size people?\n\nThis was an act of aggression, a declaration of war. The normal-size people clamored for a retaliatory strike against the giants. Dismissing this response as hyperbolic, normal-size diplomats tried reaching out to their giant counterparts to work out a plan to have a giant help pick up the diaper. To their horror, however, no one picked up on the other side, no matter how many times they tried. When the demonstrations in the streets turned to riots, the President had had enough, and ordered strikes--shattering a century of peace--to rid the continent of the giants, once and for all. \n\n------------\n\nThanks to InfraRaptor for the idea, an \"implied macro\" drawing was fun to make.",
