The larger bear girl was doing her best, but for her being quiet in the woods wasn’t as easy as it was for a lithe cat. Creeping almost on all fours through the under brush.\n\n“Focus… right” Rebecca said following along. From her position there was a naked cat butt pointed right at her that was drawing her focus for now. The pair continued along hoping that the crackling of twigs under large bear feet wasn’t going to attract attention. They needed to see what was happening to see if they could help at all. Fortunately the sounds of the action likely masked any noises they were making as they approached.\n\nWha they saw first wasn’t the action though but a somewhat chubby squirrel hiding behind a tree.\n\n“L-lucy?” Rebecca half gasped as soon as she recognized the short stack\n\nLucy, who had been meaning through a gap in the underbrush at something the others couldn’t yet see, spun around in surprise. Her eyes first relaxing in relief at seeing her friend, then going wide as she instinctively covered her breasts with her hands and wrapped her tail around her waist. “I uh… h-how are you…?” She said then noticed Michelle. Her eyes locking onto Michelle’s own, before drifting down to her nude body, before then again snapping back up to her face, “M-mistress!!”\n\nMichelle scooted back a step and held up a hand, short bolts of lighting snapping between her fingers in warning, “Lucy…. I… I felt like something came over me, made me … go away… then I woke up in the woods naked… In-ka… s-she said I was … possessed.”\n\n“You met in-ka?” Michelle asked. Or wanted to ask. A bright light followed by a roaring almost deafening sound of thunder and crackling flame broke through the forest. The fight was clearly intensifying now that Dan and Jasmin had joined in. Would they be enough? How strong was Vesta? She’d have time too think about that later. For now she had to figure things out and come up with a plan, “I guess that explains why you are here. I’m surprised she let you come. It’s dangerous.”\n\n“She can’t drive so…”\n\nAnd that explained that, “OK. So give me the short version.”\n\nLucy quickly explained, “In-ka went in alone and then there was fighting, and in-ka spat out a ghost or something and then the others showed up.”\n\n“Michelle, you should see this” It was Rebecca this time. She had crept up to the brush and was looking through. On the other side she saw a bloody mess of a scene. Kate was standing, mostly, more limping than otherwise at this point. In-ka was down, as were the others. Dan looked like a crumpled mess against a tree and didn’t seem to be moving much. Jasmin was trying to regain her footing and patting out smoldering patches on her fur. The Not-Kate was stumbling over to In-ka. Still upright not barely so and grabbed the immobile wolf by the scruff of her neck before beginning to drag her towards an odd stone slab. Michelle blinked and could have sworn she saw runes on the slab for a second before they faded away.\n\n“Girls… I don’t know what that is, but we can’t let her put In-ka on it.”\n\n“I’m gunna throw hands” Rebecca asserted before Michelle grabbed her to stop her, she would have explained why that was a bad idea, but Lucy beat her to it.\n“You can’t they’re like.. super witches. With.. like monster powers!”\n\nMichelle looked at her… friend? Was that right? Lover? Michelle hadn’t treated Lucy like a friend much, more used her. Subordinate didn’t fit well anymore either as Michelle was well and truly not the head of any coven anymore. One more thing to figure out later, for now though, “Lucy. I’m going to go out there, but I need something from you.”\n\n“What?”\n\n“Energy. I’ll drain some excess power from you. You’ll probably pass out but It….”\n\n“Yes!”\n\n“W-what. Just like that?”\n\n“Of course, mistress, if it’s what you need!”\n\nMichelle winced at the girl’s eagerness, another pang of guilt to deal with later. She put a hand On lucy’s shoulder and started to drain her.\n\n“H-hey!” Rebecca said. That’s what I’m here for.”\n\n“Michelle glanced over to her. Maybe. But I’m doomed out there alone. See if you can get to Jasmin, get HER back up.”\n\nRebecca looked like she wanted to argue but didn’t and moved away, once Lucy collapsed Michelle took a deep breath and started her plan.\n\nFirst an illusion of herself. She had it crawl in front of her as she moved through the brush and into the clearing towards not-Kate and In-ka. She crawled along the ground using every bit of her feline grace to be quiet, but also fast as she closed the distance before In-ka could be dragged to the altar.\n\nShe got fairly close before she was noticed, but suddenly not-Kate stopped, turned and fired a blast of incandescent plasma at her pursuer.\n\nMichelle sprinted hard as her illusion was blasted apart. Not-Kate readied another blast, but she managed to close the distance to zero first and punched her in the arm, hard, before she could fully turn.\n\nKate’s mouth emitted a guttural roar of anger as she was forced to let go of in-ka, the wolf dropping in a heap to the ground.\n\n“You!” She growled.\n\n“ME!” Michelle said and charged again. Her clearly injured opponent would be slowed down, right? She’d land another hit, right? Her fist, charged with fire and lightning and thrown with every ounce of her intend crumpled in agony as she hit the air just in front of Kate’s face. Air as solid as any steel plate.\n\nNot-Kate’s own punch was not blocked.\n\nMichelle wasn’t fully sure how she stayed standing after the hit, maybe it was the hand on her neck holding her up, and squeezing.\n\n“GAACK!” She managed as she grabbed at not-Kate, clawing at her but hitting that solid air again.\n\n“My little student. My annoying, selfish, little slut of a student.” Vesta sneered with Kate’s lips, “Maybe there’s some use for you”\n\n“Fuck you!”\n\n“No I think that might be your job” Vesta said, reaching the other hand much more south and started to do something that Michelle tried very hard to ignore, “Your favorite little toy? Chapter 33: Tag In
