Her dragon had her pinned tight to his chest with a powerful arm, holding her still and protected. He wings spread around like a shield around them, even though there was no real danger anymore.\n\n“I almost lost you twice. Once when you ATE one of those things, and now when she kidnapped you.”\n\nLapis sighed and resigned to settling in a bit as she wasn’t going to be released anytime soon it seemed. Sure she could go full dragon form, but, eh, if her male needed a security cuddle that was fine.\n\n“Alright, scardy lizard.” Lapis said shaking her head, “Hey Adri, Kate, Whats up out there?”\n\nThe group had regrouped back at the village. A relatively quiet place in the canopy of the colossal tree and relatively removed from all the gene switching semi magic plant life down below. That said they had brought some up with them on the return trip and were growing something next to the still unconscious Clarissa.\n\n“I’m gunna try to sever her from the hive connection with the other corrupted ones, er, the ‘tentacle monsters, as it were” Adriana said, “The plant should help.”\n\n“How?”\n\n“Well first feeding it a bit of my mom.” That did seem to be true. They take your genetics and give you theirs when you feed, or breed, with them. The corrupted ones are all takers though, hoarding mates and power as much as possible. How she maintained enough sanity to have any individuality left at all is a small miracle.” Adrianna said, “Though We’re pretty sure they aren’t mere ‘monsters’ in fact they MAY have been people. The Kinds that love to take and steal and possess. They took so much genetics and shifted so much they lost themselves and became these things.”\n\n“ooook… So what does your mom’s milk and my blood have to do with anything?”\n\n“Well for the milk part, she’s giving the plant her genes, and asserting her self as a temporary ‘mom’ to have more control over it. For you, well, you are a tentacle monster too.”\n\nRhae growled at that and glared at Adrianna, “She. Is. A. Dragon!”\n\nAdrianna didn’t look concerned by his growling, “When she wants. Or a squirrel, or whatever else she’s eaten. Right now she looks like a winged kangaroo. But she DID eat a tentacle, so it’s in her now.”\n\n“Doesn’t control me”\n\n“No, and with you already being free there’s not that much risk of loosing yourself since you already beat it. She on the other hand lost her will to the new genome in her, Probably due to her extended time as one of its ‘mates’ Which brings us back to what we’re doing.”\n\nThe group watched as the plant shifted and changed growing larger and taller, and growing long slimy appendages that looked suspiciously like…\n\n“Adri.. what are you making?”\n\n“Our own corrupted one, or anti corrupted one. Chapter 32: Herself Again

“Rhae, I’m fine…”

Lapis squirmed a little in her semi captive position.  Her dragon had her pinned tight to his chest with a powerful arm, holding her still and protected.  He wings spread around like a shield around them, even though there was no real danger anymore.

“I almost lost you twice.  Once when you ATE one of those things, and now when she kidnapped you.”

Lapis sighed and resigned to settling in a bit as she wasn’t going to be released anytime soon it seemed.  Sure she could go full dragon form, but, eh, if her male needed a security cuddle that was fine.

“Alright, scardy lizard.” Lapis said shaking her head, “Hey Adri, Kate, Whats up out there?”
