Long and flowing and nothing underneath. It was a compromise with some of the village parents to at least wear something while she was strolling around town for their kids to see. She almost argued that the kids seemed to quite enjoy what they saw, but thought better of it. It had been a couple weeks and Lapis had started to get the hang of her shifting again, though she could feel the effects of her unfortunate incorporation, as well.\n\nPresently she was doing some grocery shopping with Misty at the local market. She and the bat had become something of friends, which was nice, even though the rumors of them dating persisted. Both had arrived at the same time, apparently Misty had been seen sneaking back to her house naked, and for the first day Lapis just strolled around naked before the local parents had a word with her. The nightgown was actually one of Misty’s own, which meant it barely fit. Lapis was a bit thicker than the bat. Wider hips and more ample bust, so the fabric strained a bit to contain her, but it kept her ‘decent’ enough to avoid complaints.\n\nA young hybrid, sergeer? Deergal? Whatever the term would be, was packing up the produce that lapis and misty had selected. While the village was still mostly the deer-folk, the number of sergal hybrids was enough to make one wonder exactly how Kate had so many kids. She did have to be their mother, right? For literally all of them? She couldn’t be old enough for this girl to be her granddaughter. The girl was a cute thing, perky teenager who seemed to be enthusiastic for her job. She almost gagged as her own altered tongue was now heading down her own throat, but she didn’t want too many people to see. She willed it to turn back into a normal tongue and it slowly obliged. Being seen sprouting tentacles while looking at what very well might be an underage girl would not go over well.\n\n“Still working on control huh?” Misty asked.\n\nLapis nodded, paying the young woman and taking her bag of groceries, “I’m… it just happens sometimes. I got lost in thought and it tried to come out.”\n“Well, I’ll just give you a pinch every time it happens till you learn.”\n\nLapis smirked, “And to think, I thought you didn’t want people to think we were a thing.”\n\nMisty reddened and looked away. Teasing got her flustered so easily, even if nothing was going on between them. Though Lapis was living in Misty’s house for the time being, and this particular flustered blush seemed potentially slightly different than the normal one. But that was something to worry about later, partially because her boyfriend was living in the back yard, and partially because she had a job to do.\n\nThe pair deposited their groceries in the fridge at Misty’s place. It was amazing that such an appliance existed in a village without electricity. The magically altered plants were grown into a pod shape and somehow sucked the heat out of the air within it. Lapis didn’t know much about refrigeration cycles, but she knew that if she ever found a way home, this magic would be very useful. Once the pod reclosed itself Lapis stripped off the annoying gown she was wearing while Misty looked away quickly with a blush. Though Laps did note that the girl was looking at a glass window now, were some reflections could be seen.\n“Off to your training?” Misty asked the window.\n\n“Ya, got a job to do. Those people need my help and I need to control myself.”\n\n“I’ll go with you when you face them” Misty blurted.\n\nLapis raised an eyebrow and put a hand on her friend’s shoulder, “Misty, you are still pretty fresh too. “Come on Ray.  She went out of her way to tell people that we WEREN’T together.”

“You aren’t together.  But she still likes you.” Ray said.

“Heh” Lapis chuckled, “Feeling jealous?  Even if she does like me.  I’m not cheating on you.”

Ray smiled in his own way at her, “You know… I might even be ok with it… If I got to watch.”

Lapis rolled her eyes, “Pervert.”
