The snow leopard’s clawed fingers worked their way through Kate’s fur as the steamy water flowed over their bodies. The stall wasn’t especially large, but it had enough room for the two of them, especially seeing as Atasi spent most of the shower leaning on Kate and purring against her shoulder. The sensation was really quite lovely. Kate hadn’t expected having someone else’s hands on her body would feel as good as it did, a part of her even wondered if it was just because the person she was with was Atasi specifically, or if it would feel similar with anyone. Something told her she shouldn’t try to ask around about that though.\n\nWhat Kate did do was try her best to return the favor. She wasn’t sure if Atasi was using a particular technique or just feeling around but did her best to emulate the movements either way. She slid her hands along her friends sides and up her back. Her claws dragged gently between the strands of fur and against the skin underneath. She smiled as Atasi’s reaction seemed to mirror her own, loud purr, shiver flowing up her body and a smile stretching across her already stressed-out face. In between the approving purrs, Atasi started to tug Kate into a tighter hold. Till the pair were fully stomach to stomach / chest to chest embracing each other.\n\n“Kate…?” Atasi’s voice was weak and sounded somewhat unsure. In fact, with the sound of the steamy water flowing down them, Kate might have missed it if the origin of the voice hadn’t been pressed against her neck.\n\n“Yes Atasi?” Kate said back returning the increasingly tight hug.\n\n“I missed you so much.”\n\n“I missed you too.”\n\n“I was worried you were dead”\n\n“Got close, but I’m still here” Kate felt the hug tighten, “The poison was something else”\n\n“Please don’t get hurt again” Atasi squeaked, “I need you.”\n\n“I’m not going anywhere.”\n\n“But you might… you… you might get hurt, you might leave me, you might…” Atasi was starting to shake a bit, “Too many people have died already”\n\n“It’s not your fault”\n\n“It is”\n\n“It’s not!”\n\n“But it IS” Atasi shook her head, “I didn’t fix them right, most of them… they died, and it wasn’t painless either.”\n\n“What?” Kate was a bit confused about that one and wiggled around loosening the hug just enough to look Atasi in the eyes. Atasi’s eyes may not have been able to focus on hers, since form the girl’s perspective Kate was just an empty space, but she still wanted to talk face to face for this. “Atasi? What do you mean?”\n\nAtasi shook, she felt like she was on the verge of crying, “We… we captured some of the… the zombies. They… not all of them but some of them are still… still in there.”\n\nKate blinked, “You mean… the original people are still there, not dead just controlled?”\n\nAtasi nodded.\n\n“But you can’t have two souls in one body”\n\n“The demons are in the cyberware”\n\nKate winced a bit thinking about it. She had mostly thought the people were essentially the newly dead and the cyberware was essentially un-dead-ing their bodies; a similar process to how the one in charge had made their own new body. Overriding the nervous system of someone still alive was not something that sounded in any way pleasant.\n“Soo…” Kate said at last, “You tried to remove the cyberware and get it off them?”\n\nAtasi nodded, “Or get the demons out of it. It hasn’t worked much, and... and only made it worse for most of them.”\n\n“Well maybe I can help with that. I can see the demons of course and I might be able to sort-of possess the cyberware myself to prevent things from going nuts. Perhaps I could help you on any others in the, wait a second…” Something seemed odd to Kate, “Wait, how did you know how to remove the demons, or even that they’re were there, other than the behavior I mean.”\n\n“I can’t. Nyx can, she can see them fine.”\n\n“Who?”\n\n“She has a tool like yours, I’m not sure how.” Atasi shook her head and moved to tighten the hug again, “Can we talk about this, and her, later?”\n\n“Still stressed out?”\n\nAtasi smiled softly, “A bit, but actually no, I think I’m finally relaxing. I want you to be here when I wake up.”\n\n“Sure.” Kate said reaching for the water controls, “Lets dry off and get you in .. ohh my”\n\nAtasi slipped a bit as she started to slip from consciousness in Kate’s arms leaving Kate to hold her as they dripped off excess water. It was a bit awkward getting the shower open and hoisting the dripping cat up enough to carry her back to her bed. Kate managed to lay her down though, then toweled herself off a bit before resisting the urge to blush to a nosebleed as she thoroughly toweled off her limp sleeping friend.\n\nOnce she was done, she stood up and looked around. Atasi had asked her to stay till she woke up, but did that mean that she had the floor, or? The bed wasn’t massive, but one could fit two on it if one wanted, and it would be far more comfortable there than on the floor.\n\n‘She did want to wake up with me here’ Kate thought to herself sliding into bed with Atasi and pulling the covers over the two of them. Chapter 57: Together with You
