Being a member of the Temporal Corps has it's perks for certain. Tali decided to treat her friend Millie to a shopping trip into her future from 1949 all the way to 1989, and since Millie had only been to department stores in her home town of "Memphor" Ohio, the Mink-Marten-Skunk hybrid found the idea of a shopping mall intriguing and exciting.
There was only one small snag in that they both could not wear anything containing fabrics from the past into the future, even if the trip only spanned a mere 40 years. Tali came up with a solution and suggested that they could use what she referred to as "Credit Cards" and buy clothes once they arrived in the future.
When Millie inquired about the large sunhat Tali was carrying, the Felinoid explained that they needed something to at least carry their credit cards in. Tali also went on to explain that the hat contained a circuit chip that would allow only the two of them and the hat safely into the time continuum.
With the excitement of the mayhem about to ensue when two nude women show up in a retail venue for a shopping spree making them giddy, the they both stepped into the Time Gate, and vanished.
In an instant, the two of them materialized into what appeared to be a shady, green glade with a small stream running into a nearby pond and tiered rocks around the pool with several small waterfalls merrily splashing into it. Tali at once noticed that something, somewhere, or in this case, "Somewhen" had gone terribly wrong.
Instead of a bustling shopping center, there was only crumbling concrete, and bits of rusted rebar poking up through the grass. A nearby, heavily weathered slab of cast concrete bore the name of the "Blessem Mall" and the two time travelers realized that they had made a miscalculation and instead had been transported, not 40 years, but more like 4,000 years into their futures.
Tali could only huff and slapped the sunhat on her hip in frustration. "So what do we do Now?" the Felimorph hissed.
After a short pause, Tali felt something light, and smelling of flowers being placed on top of her head. "This ought to make you feel better." Millie said. The crafty Mustilid Morph had fashioned a daisy crown for Tali, and was wearing a similar floral crown of her own.
"I guess we could get used to this place." The Felinoid muttered. "In fact, we might just be able to enjoy a swim before the time continuum snaps us back."
"You know something?" Millie said after awhile. "I think I could weave us up some clothes with all these flowers." Then she added, "After all, there's plenty of them."
