Gaiden seems to have awoken his hidden powers to a new level here in quite an upset for the event. The ancestry through his bloodline is obscured with the many fairy tales and lore that only children would believe. The Orphi, a once-powerful and very violent race, ruled the land and perfected the dark arts. Magic used by blood, concentration, or thought and only meant for destruction or to be looked down upon with the toying of the dead.
The Orphi had their rule, a rather thick mass of unicorns, under the rightful leadership of one called Ivory. Once their leader was vanquished, the cult of the horned equines began fighting for dominance, leaving only a handful alive. The remaining unicorns fled to various parts of the land and were eventually hunted down and slain. Despite their efforts, they relied too heavily on numbers with their powers.
Gaiden has since tapped into his blood and the line of the Orphi runs strong in him. He may not be a full-fledged unicorn but he has the power they all tried to gain. The phantom horn is likely a key sign of his inner strength and will shining through. The spell of the shadow wolf along his arm is his personal favorite for fighting up close.
Before long, he may even make a new name for himself. The Phantom Horn, they may call him. Word travels fast in the modern day and age.
