L: A purple lizard slowly comes to awareness, soon finding he's in a tank of some kind... "Whblere ablm- MM!" The bubbles coming from his mouth make him realize he's underwater! Puffing up his cheeks, he quickly looks around the outside of the tank, hoping someone will be around.

S: *nobody seems to be around for the moment, they seem to be completely alone in this weird kind of area...*

L: The lizard looks around the tank, trying to find a way out... But there doesn't seem to be any way to open it from inside. He bangs on the glass, wondering if the noise might get someone's attention.

S: *soon enough some voices can be heard, one an adult voice the other one a child like voice, coming closer towards the tank which turns out to be a machamp and a smaller blue lizard*
Machamp - "Aha! We finally managed to catch this rare purple lizard! This one should be good to watch in that tank of water"
Blue lizard- "But daddy! It's not right to put those creatures in those tanks! The poor guy in there can't breathe!"

L: Now knowing only one of them might help, the purple lizard looks at the blue one with fear in his eyes, silently pleading with them to do something.

S: *the blue one looks at the purple lizard with a big frown on their face, worried about him so much*
Machamp - "Shut up! Your lucky I'm even taking care of you right now! You could be out in the streets! Now sit and watch the show, and if you try to help that guy escape, you might as well be joining him in there!"
Blue lizard - *gulps* "Y-yes daddy" *then they try to think of someway to help the purple lizard out of there*

L: After a glare at the machamp, the purple lizard starts banging on the glass again, this time hoping to break it.

S: *the machamp starts laughing at the purple lizard's attempt to break free*
Machamp - "Don't bother trying to free yourself from there! The glass is indestructible! You can't break it!"
*the blue lizard mouths to the purple one to stop, they seem to have a plan on how to free the purple lizard, but it would take some time*

L: The purple lizard stops trying to break out, just focusing on holding his breath as he waits to see what the blue one has planned.

S: Blue Lizard - "Daddy I have to go the bathroom... but I'm scared to go alone, could you take me??"
Machamp - "Ughhhh!!! Well fine...but be quick!" *the machamp and blue lizard run off together to the "bathroom" but in reality it's something else, the blue lizard managed to lock machamp inside somewhere! The blue one hurries off to the purple lizard's tank, this took roughly 5 minutes to pull off*
Blue lizard - "I'm back! I'm back! I'm gonna get you outta here little guy! But I don't have a lot of time!"

L: The purple lizard doesn't seem to have time himself, covering his mouth as his face is just starting to turn blue. Still, without anything else he can really do, he tries to hold on long enough the blue lizard will be able to help him.

S: "Oh no! He's gonna drown soon! I can't believe my daddy does all this stuff! Ugh!" *the blue one goes to a control system and presses a couple of buttons that allows the water to drain*
"It's gonna be ok! As soon as the water is gone I'll let you free!"

L: Hearing and feeling the water start to drain, the purple lizard looks up to see there's starting to be air in the tank! He raises his head up to get his nostrils above the water, gasping through them as his faces starts going back to normal.

S: *it takes about 2 minutes for the tank to drain completely, then the purple lizard hears a hatch above them opening up, which allows them to climb out and escape!*

L: After climbing out, the purple lizard hugs the blue one. "Th-thanks so much... But your dad is gonna be really mad when he gets back..."

S: *the blue one hugs the purple one back* "I know I know... he's so obsessed with finding creatures to put into tanks of water and watch them drown... he's already drowned too many as of now... *the blue lizard gulps* but anyways at least I was able to save you... I hate foster homes, but for now we better get you outta here...oh and I'm Nick by the way"

L: "I'm Seth. Can't believe this isn't even the first time he's done this to someone... He doesn't just let them die, does he?"

S: *nick sighs sadly* "Unfortunately he does... he's a monster! I don't even know how he was even allowed to adopt me... it's so cruel what he does... and the worst part is nobody even knows this place exists except whoever comes here to drown and die! I was even threatened by my own father a couple times for me to drown as well! It's scary!"

L: "Jeez... A-as scared of him as I am, I'd feel awful if I didn't try to put a stop to this before leaving. We need to figure something out..."

S: "I agree... it's pretty rare that I rescue someone successfully, so we gotta plan... *suddenly the voice of the machamp can be heard less then a couple of feet away*
Machamp - "NICK!!!!!!!!"
Nick - "Uh oh! That's not good..."

L: "D-damn it, already... Um..." The purple lizard quickly looks around the room, then at the tank he'd been trapped in. "Oh, the tank! We can get him in there!" He says that a bit quieter.

S: "Good idea!" *but before they could do anything, the machamp appears from behind them and picks both of them up effortlessly!*
Machamp - "Well well well! What do we have here? The lizard's out of the cage! Nick!!!
Nick - "Uhhhh, heh heh heh.... how did that happen? Heh..."

L: "He told me everything you've done, you psycho! And I'm not gonna be leaving until you've gotten what you deserve!" The purple lizard starts beating at the machamp's arm.

S: *the machamp barely feels the pain*
Machamp - "Pathetic! I don't care about your opinion! Now back in the tank you go! *the machamp throws seth in the tank then looks at nick* "and as for you! You're getting punished with them, let's see how you like to be drowned! I don't even love you!" *the machamp throws nick inside the tank as well, sealing both of them back up*
Nick - "Ahhh! Oh no! I was scared this was gonna happen to me someday!"

L: Seth tries to push open the hatch again, but it doesn't work. "D-damn it.. I should've just gone, now you're stuck here too... Sorry..."

S: "Aw man! Aw man! Aw man! I'm only a little kid!! I'm no good when it comes to water!! Ahhh! I don't deserve this!"
*the tank immediately starts to fill up with water, causing nick to go into panic mode*
Machamp - "Finally imma watch this stupid kid drown, this should be fun to watch" *the machamp grabs a chair to sit and watch*

L: "Th-the glass might be unbreakable, but the hatch might not be! Come on, it's our only chance!" Seth starts beating on the hatch, trying to break it open.

S: "Oh jeez! I didn't even think about that!" *nick starts to bang on the hatch as well, but the machamp just laughs again*
Machamp - "You dummies! The hatch is made out of steel! Your never gonna break that" *then nick stops banging, the water halfway filled already*
Nick - "Dang it! He's right Seth! I forgot about that..."

L: "I-it was worth a shot... I think this might be it then, he's not gonna reconsider..." Seth looks down and watches the water continuing to rise.

S: Machomp - "Ugh! I'm tired of waiting!" *the machomp presses a button to make the water rise faster, causing nick to yelp*
Nick - "Y-you don't have to do this!!! Not to a child!!!" *the water is just about to submerge the two of them, tears streaming down Nick's face in the process*

L: "W-we should at least try to hold on as long as we can!" Seth glares at the machamp again, and yells to them "I'm gonna haunt the crap out of you after this!" He then starts taking deep breaths.

S: "But Seth! I'm a terrible breath holder! I'm not gonna last that long!" *nick then takes deep breathes too in fear*
Machamp - "Oooh I'm so scared! Haha!"

L: Ignoring the machamp, Seth talks to Nick again. "I'll give you some of my air when you need it, then! J-just tap on me or something!"

S: "Oh fine! Like I've got no choice!" *after fearfully taking a final breath of air and holding it in, the water fully submerges our duo*

L: Seth holds his breath as well, thankful he at least got a chance to prepare this time instead of suddenly finding himself underwater.

S: *nick looks at Seth with fearful eyes, covering his mouth with both hands and whimpering*

L: Seth hugs Nick, hoping to help them calm down a little. He tries to relax as well, not wanting to give the machamp the show they're expecting.

S: *keeping his hands on his mouth nick nuzzles Seth a little bit, bubbles escaping his nostrils and worrying what's gonna happen*
Machamp - "Hmmph! This is pretty boring, but I'm sure things will ramp up soon since nick not only can't swim but can't hold his breath well! Haha!"
*unfortunately machamp was right, Nick's face is already red*

*nick is definitely not the best breath holder, his eyes squeezing shut as well*

L: Frowning as he notices Nick already getting fairly low on breath, Seth nuzzles them back, trying not to pay attention to the machamp.

S: *whimpers and grunts escape Nick's mouth as his face turns more red, but even he knows that he doesn't wanna waste Seth's air already so he tries to hold on longer...the machamp meanwhile just laughs at Nick's struggles*

L: It's getting a bit hard for Seth to ignore the machamp now, but he cuddles with Nick to keep both them and himself calm.

S: *nick cuddles back with Seth trying to ignore his lungs as his father, but when his face turns blue he can't ignore it anymore, tapping on Seth for some air*

L: Trying not to think about how embarrassing it'll be, but still blushing anyway, Seth kisses Nick to give them some of his air.

S: *Nick's face and eyes lit up from the sudden kiss, blushing at it as he takes the air...the machamp bursting into laughter at the sight of them kissing*

Machamp - "Gross!! Hahaha!!! That's one way to stay alive I guess!"

L: Seth gets close to losing his temper at that taunt, but tries his best to keep his composure as he goes back to hugging Nick, blushing from his own need to breathe.

S: *but the machamp keeps taunting them, calling them mean names that hurt nick so much he was visibly crying at them, holding Seth close as bubbles escape him, hoping and praying for a miracle to happen...little do they know something will happen that'll help them*

L: Finally, Seth's anger at the machamp takes over, and he bangs on the glass. "WOBLULD YOBLU SHBLUT UBLP!?" He quickly covers his mouth after that, realizing he wasted some air.

S: "That's right, keep wasting that air you good for nothing lizards! Hahaha!!!"
Nick - "STBLBOP ITBL!!!!" *he covers his mouth immediately after saying that, his face returning to blue already from that*

L: Seeing Nick's face going blue again, Seth quickly gives them more air, though that leads to his own face going blue as well, and he goes back to covering his mouth afterward.

S: *the air was barely anything for nick, only reducing his blue blush by a bit*
Machamp - "it'd about time you guys are almost drowned! Haha!"

L: Needing to breathe so badly is at least helping Seth ignore the machamp, but he closes his eyes and starts to shiver a little from the extreme lack of oxygen.

S: *nick is shivering from the lack of air too, whimpering loudly...but just when things are gonna get bad... remember that nick is adopted by this machamp and it just so happens that the machamp's contract with Nick is expired! So the owner of a foster care building comes inside the building to talk with the machamp about renewing it...but when they see whats happening,nboy they aren't happy!*

L: An anthro raven comes to the room's door, though at an angle where they can't see the tank of water yet. "Hope I'm not interrupting something, but I need to talk to you about renewing your adoption contract with Nick."

S: *suddenly the machamp's laughing stopped cold when he heard the voice of the anthro raven, they quickly get up to cover the tank of water that the lizards are trapped inside*
"O-oh, well ok, I forgot it was gonna expire soon...heh heh..."

*meanwhile inside the tank nick hears the anthro raven and thinks to himself* "It's the foster care worker! I have to get their attention so they can take me away from this man!" *nick bangs hard on the glass to get the anthro raven's attention*

L: Seth joins in on the banging as well, knowing it's the only option at this point.

The raven looks into the room. "What's that sound? And what's that thing you've got covered there?" He walks toward the covered tank.

S: Machamp - "Oh! N-nothing! It's probably the wind! Heh..." *the machamp moves to make sure the tank is covered as Seth and nick continue to bang on the glass*

L: Raven: "Then me looking at it shouldn't be an issue." He pulls the sheet off the tank, and is stunned as he sees the two lizards trapped inside! "...I...W-wh..."

Seth hardly even notices the tank being uncovered, his face now more purple than normal as he's getting close to his limit.

S: "No!!"
*luckily nick has enough energy to say*
Nick - "HBLBLELPPPPPP!!!!!!!" *his face is fully blue by now, more blue then normal*

L: Nick's bubbly yell snaps the raven back to awareness. "O-okay, hang on!" He messes with the tank's buttons, quickly finding the one to start draining the water. Just in time, as well, as Seth can't hold his breath any more and starts bursting out clouds of bubbles just before he gets his nostrils above the water again, gasping and coughing.

S: *before nick could gasp down water he just barely managed to get his nostrils above the water, which thankfully lowered enough quickly to get his head above it, gasping and coughing in the air...the machamp give a sheepish smile and tries to back away from the situation*

L: With some more fiddling with the controls, the raven gets the tank's hatch open. Making sure to keep the machamp in his line of sight, he helps Seth and Nick out of the water. "A-alright, um... I need to call the police."

Seth's face goes back to its typical shade of purple, but he's still panting a lot.

S: *Nick's face slowly returns to its normal shade of blue but is also panting a bit as well*
Nick - "t-t-that man is crazy!!! He drowns people for fun! And he almost did it to me!!! Get me away from this crazy man!!" *nick hugs the anthro raven tightly*
Machamp - "Uhhhh it's not what you think!" *the machamp keeps backing up*

L: Seth: "Y-yeah, he was gonna kill us! And apparently he's done it before!" He backs toward the doorway, ready to run if he has to.

Raven: "Wait, the disappearances around here... It was you, wasn't it!?"

S: Machamp - "Uhhh.... n-no way!! Heh..."
Nick - "Yes way! He's the reason all those disappearances happened! And he's dragged me along to watch them! I even tried to report it but he's so scary when he's mean that I couldn't do it! And now I WANT OUTTA HERE!!!" *nick backs towards the door too*

L: Raven: "Yeah, you two get going. I can handle myself in a fight if it comes to that." He gets his phone out to call the police.

Seth holds Nick's hand. "We should go, I don't want to be in the room with that guy either."

S: Machamp - "You better not!"
Nick - "Eeep! Yes let's get outta here....NOW!"

L: Seth leaves the room with Nick, soon leaving the building as well. "I still kind of can't believe that... He really was going to kill us..."

S: "I-i know, he's a monster! He thinks he's going all this for fun! But I could have died today if it wasn't for the foster care worker being here!" *he stops walking then looks at seth* "Thanks for being there for me and trying to help me calm down"

L: "Honestly, you being there helped me a lot too." Seth hugs Nick again. "...But, I guess you're sort of... Between parents now, huh?"

S: *nick hugs Seth back and sighs*
"Yeah...unfortunately... I've been through a lot in my life... like...A LOT!"

L: "...You know... I live alone, in a decently big place... Maybe, if you're up for it, I could adopt you?"

S: *nick gasps then looks up at Seth*
"R-really?? Well, you definitely seem different then all the other parents I've had... in a good way... so yeah I think I would like that very much!"

L: "Alright! I don't really know how adoption works, but I'll figure it out. Got a decent idea of how to be a good parent, too!"

S: "Oh I hope you'll be a good parent to me! When my biological parents were still around they didn't exactly raise me that well... I won't go into full detail tho..."

L: "I'll do everything I can to give you a good life, you deserve it after everything you've been through!"

S: "Awww seth...thank you so much..." *he jumps into Seth's arms and gives him a big hug*

L: Seth hugs Nick back, and starts making his way to the orphanage with them. Along the way, a police car passes, with the machamp visible in the back.

S: Machamp - "YOU HAVENT SEEN THE LAST ONE MEEEE!!!!!"
Nick - "Take that! Haha! Man I wanna give that guy a taste of his medicine! See how he likes drowning!"

L: Seth teasingly waves goodbye to the machamp. "Ah, if only... This way is probably for the best though, honestly."

S: "I guess, although it would be convenient if the police actually chose drowning as his sentence, haha!"

L: "Ha, it sure would! I'm sure we'll be notified once it's decided... For now, let's head to the orphanage and get that adoption done, what do you say?"

S: "Yeah totally! 100%! Hehe!"

L: Seth and Nick head to the orphanage, and while it takes a little while since Seth doesn't really know how to do it, he successfully adopts Nick! A while after that, they both do indeed find out the machamp is being sentenced to drowning, as well.

S: *nick is already happy as he can be, and when he finds out the machamp is sentenced to drowning, he's even more happy*
"Omg! I called it! I wanna see this... haha!"

L: "Wow, that's perfect! Yeah, let's head out and go see that together!"

S: "Sounds like a plan! Haha!" *nick giggles a bit evilly*

L: Seth and Nick head off together to go see the evil machamp drown.

S: "Oooh! I can't wait!"

L: There's a surprisingly large group of people there to watch, apparently all having had a history with the machamp. He himself is on the edge of a tank of water with his arms bound, with several guards around to make sure he won't get away.

S: "Look at that machamp! He's so helplessly up there! Even with someone as strong as him"

Machamp - "You don't have to do this!!!! Please!!!!"

Nick - "Ah shut up! Just let me watch the show!"

Machamp - "Nick!!!!! Grrrr!"

L: Seth: "Nice to see you get what you deserve!"

After that, a guard pushes the machamp into the tank, closing off the top.

S: *apparently there's a small air pocket in the tank that the machamp was able to breathe in from*
"Haha! There's air in here!"

Nick - "Grr! I bet for not much longer tho!"

L: "Well, it's not gonna be helping you forever! Makes for a longer show for us, too..."

S: "Yeah! I wanna see him get submerged already! Not in some dumb air pocket! Come on!"

L: One of the guards heads to the tank's controls, and gets the water to start filling the rest of the way up.

Seth: "There we go!"

S: "Aha!"
Machamp - "Hey!!!" *just before the water does reach the top, the machamp took a deep breath and finally submerged underwater, his cheeks defiantly puffed out as his body starts to sink to the bottom of the tank*

L: "May have a lot of muscle, but breath holding is a whole different thing... I wonder how long he's gonna last?"

S: Nick - "I wonder too... heh, but I don't care... look at his puffy cheeks, its hilarious! Haha!"
*the machamp grumbles out some bubbles, wiggling his bound arms to try and break free of them*

L: Seth goes up to the tank, standing off to the side so everyone can still see the machamp. "Kinda hope you do manage to get your arms loose, it'll make for a better show for us!"

S: *nick goes up to the tank too* "Heh... yeah I agree!"

L: "Well, nothing to do but wait! I hope it takes a nice, long time for him to fully drown~"

S: "Ooooh! Savage! Yeah!" *the machamp grumbles out more bubbles, his face already turning red!*

L: "Go on, keep wasting your air. Really looking forward to when you run out of breath!"

S: "Me too! Now your knowing how it feels to be in a tank of water! Haha!!"
*the machamp tries to stay quiet in order to conserve air*

L: "Sure sucks, doesn't it? Knowing there's no way out, and that holding your breath is just delaying the inevitable..."

S: "Oooh yeah... we all know you want air soooo badly! Ahhh it's nice to actually breathe in all this air around us!" *nick taunts machamp as the machamp whimpers at that, his face more red...and with enough strength he actually managed to break off his binds, pounding on the glass now*

L: "Oh, nice, this is gonna be a lot more entertaining now! Yep, keep on beating the glass, you're not gonna break it."

S: "Haha! Look at his suffering!"
*the machamp continue to pound at the glass, hoping some crack will form...which causes all his air to escape him, turning his face immediately purple! He covers his mouth and nose and whines loudly, grunting in strain*

L: "Almost there now... Go on, breathe! You know you want to!"

S: *the machamp refuses to inhale, keeping his mouth and nose shut*
"Do it! Breathe! Come on!"

L: "You better not just hold your breath until you pass out, that'd be so lame..."

S: "I agree!" *pretty soon the whole crowd started chanting: "Breathe! Breathe! Breathe! Breathe!" and machamp couldn't take it anymore, opening his mouth and gasping down water*

L: There's cheering as the machamp finally starts drowning, and Seth happily wags his tail. "There you go, that wasn't so hard!"

S: "Yes!!! Let's goo!!!" *nick happily wags his own tail as well, giggling at the machomp drowning... they gurgle and shudder their bodies as his body falls to the bottom, still taking on air as he's slowly losing consciousness*

L: Seth kneels down to get a good look at the machamp. "Bit of a shorter drowning than I was hoping for... But, still, worth the wait!"

S: "Yeah! I loved it!! This was great to watch! Haha!"

L: "Guess there won't be much more to see at this point... Do you still want to stick around, Nick?"

S: "Eh, not really... let's just go home and let the cops deal with this... heh"

L: "Yeah, show's pretty much over." Seth starts heading home with Nick, and the other people around are starting to leave as well.

S: *our duo makes it home safely* "Man what a day! I definitely need a nap now... my lungs still kinda hurt from holding my breath earlier... heh" *nick lays down on the bed, leaving some room in case Seth comes in too*

L: Seth lays on the bed as well. "Yeah, me too... Don't think I've ever come that close to taking in water before."

S: "Neither have I... and I can't even swim! Let alone hold my breath... maybe you could teach me someday, but definitely not for a while, I wanna stay away from water for a long time..." *nick then turns to face Seth and hugs him gently* "Thanks for adopting me... I think imma be really happy here..." *nick then closes his eyes to rest*

L: "I'll teach you to swim someday... And I hope you will be happy here, I'll do my best for you." Seth closes his eyes as well, hugging Nick.

S: "Thank you seth..." *and with that, our duo happily falls asleep in each other's arms*
