An RP with squirtlerocks07", "writing": "S: on the morning of a school day, a young Riolu was getting ready, dreading the day ahead as he didn't like school very much, but it's about to be a whole lot worse because of a certain news report that's just about to come on, his mom is there watching, and the riolu couldn't help but watch as well as he heard something about school that made him curious as to what this report is\n\nL: The report soon comes on, and the school-related part comes up first.\n\n\"Many Pokemon that attend middle and high schools in the area have been transferred to an underwater school just off the coast, allegedly in an attempt to help improve students' focus during class. Just how well it's going to work remains to be seen.\"\n\nS: the riolu's eyes widen in shock at what he just heard, his mouth dropping open too, he's in middle school! So now he's gonna be transferred to an underwater school\n\"Oh no...I'm in middle school! That means I have to go this...underwater school! Ohhhhh noooooo...... school just got a whole lot worse!\"\n\nL: The riolu's mom, a lucario, sighs. \"I meant to tell you that sooner so you'd have time to mentally get ready... Sorry.\"\n\nS: \"UGH!!!! And the worse part of it is, I'm not even a good swimmer! I'm gonna struggle here...but I think my best friend is probably gonna struggle more then me, he's a fire type! Aww man...\" the riolu is clearly not looking forward to this\n\nL: \"Maybe whoever started this will change their mind at some point... But, we'll both be in trouble if I just don't send you to school, so for now we really don't have a choice.\"\n\nS: \"Rats... this sucks! Welp...better get my swim goggles, now where the heck did I put them?\" the riolu goes into his room and eventually finds his pair of goggles, he sets them over his forehead for now, looking at his mom with a sad expression\n\"Let's go I guess, maybe I can meet my fire type bestie on the shore of the underwater school\"\n\nL: \"I hope so, it'll be a big help if he's there with you. And hey, maybe you'll meet a water type you'll end up friends with, who knows?\"\n\nS: \"I suppose that could be true, still I'm not gonna like any of this...let's go...\" the riolu stuffs his school stuff in a waterproof bag that he got a few months ago, then his mom and riolu head to the shoreline of where the underwater school is at... and just in time, the riolu sees his fire type best friend with his mom there as well\n\nL: His friend, a fuecoco, doesn't look too pleased about this either, but he does smile a little as he sees the riolu. \"I guess you must've gotten picked too, huh? At least we'll have each other for this...\"\n\nS: the riolu smiles a little as well as he sees his fuecoco friend\n\n\"I guess so, but this is really gonna suck...\"\n\nhis mom, a charizard looks at riolu's mom with a frown\n\nCharizard - \"I feel so bad for poor fuecoco... I don't know why the government thinks this is a good idea... the poor thing has been crying all morning ever since I told him, he just now calmed down when he saw riolu\"\n\nL: Lucario: \"I really don't get this either, how could this possibly help? It seems more like it's just going to traumatize kids...\"\n\nFuecoco: \"Riolu, how are we gonna not panic once we go down there? I've never been more than a few feet underwater!\"\n\nS: Riolu - \"I don't know honestly... I've never been more then few feet underwater either... we are just gonna have to figure it out\"\n\nCharizard - \"I know you two can do this as long as you stick close together!\"\n\nL: Lucario: \"You'll just have to tough it out until this gets reversed, I really doubt this'll just be how it is from here on.\"\n\nFuecoco: \"I really hope you're right, I'm never gonna get used to this... And I hope I don't have to.\"\n\nS: Riolu - \"Same here... I don't wanna have to do this every day, that'll suck\"\n\nCharizard- \"I believe in you guys ok? You can do it! Now go! Before your late! Oh wait\" the charizard pulls out a pair of goggles and puts them over her son's eyes\n\"Almost forgot these\"\n\nL: Lucario: \"Oh, so did I!\" She quickly puts goggles on riolu as well.\n\nFuecoco: \"Th-thanks, mom...\" He's getting nervous again, knowing he'll have to go underwater soon.\n\nS: Riolu - \"Yeah, thanks mom...\"\n\nthe riolu is just as nervous as the fuecoco\n\nCharizard - \"Alright Fuecoco, try to have a good day ok? I'll see you after school...\" she comes over and gives fuecoco a big hug, then she spreads her wings and takes off into the air, flying away...taking one last look at fuecoco with concern before leaving\n\nL: The fuecoco waves goodbye to his mom, still looking sad.\n\nLucario: \"You be careful down there, Riolu. Make sure you don't go far from any place to breathe, okay?\" She gives Riolu a hug.\n\nS: Riolu - \"Ok mom...\" Riolu hugs his mom back tightly, a bit of tears streaming from his face\n\"I don't wanna go down there... but I don't have a choice....\"\n\nL: Lucario: \"You'll be okay, I'm sure there's plenty of people that can help if something somehow goes wrong. Stay safe down there, buddy...\"\n\nS: riolu whimpers sadly, hugging his mom tighter and refusing to let her go\n\nL: \"...Riolu, you need to let go of me, we can't have you missing the ride to the school. Otherwise, getting there is probably going to be even worse...\"\n\nFuecoco: \"Come on, Riolu, I don't want to have to go on my own...\"\n\nS: the riolu sighs and finally let's go of his mom\n\"I'm sorry mom...i-im gonna go...come on fuecoco\" the riolu, still in tears walks away from his mom to catch the ride down to the school\n\nL: Lucario: \"Good luck down there, you two!\" She waves goodbye as she leaves.\n\nFuecoco sighs as he looks out at the water. \"I wonder how we're getting down there... Maybe it's a submarine?\"\n\nS: \"Maybe...I don't know\"\n\nbut after 8 minutes of waiting, nothing shows up, they actually have to swim down there themselves, nothing is easy for these two\n\n\"Ok, nothings coming, I don't think there is a ride! We have to get down there ourselfs!\"\n\nL: \"Ugh, right, this school is for water types, they wouldn't have something like that... M-maybe we could ask someone for a ride, at least?\"\n\nS: \"There's nobody here but us fuecoco...I think almost everyone is already down there! We can't be late! I hate being late! We gotta just go...as much as I don't wanna\"\n\nthe riolu gets into the water, adjusting his swim goggles\n\n\"Come on buddy!\"\n\nL: The fuecoco nervously gets in as well, swimming on the surface. \"O-oh, this is really gonna suck, going so far down...\"\n\nS: \"I know buddy... it really is, but we have to get this done... hopefully it's not too far, now get some deep breathes\" the riolu takes some deep breathes to get ready for a long dive ahead\n\nL: \"O-okay...\" The fuecoco deeply breathes as well, staying just as scared the whole time.\n\nS: the riolu is scared the whole time as well and after a bit of preparing and a little bit of whining, the riolu takes fuecoco's hand in his\n\"Alright buddy, we're in this together...we're gonna dive on the count of 3...ok? Oh boy...\" after a little hesitation, he countdown\n\"3....2....1...\" riolu takes a final breath, holds it in and dives underwater, slowly so that the fuecoco has time to hold his breath too\n\nL: As the riolu starts bringing him down, the fuecoco happens to finally get a good look at exactly how far down they're going to need to go, and he yelps as he pulls away from the riolu. \"I-I can't... I can't do it...\"\n\nS: the riolu sighs out bubbles before returning to the surface and lightly gasping\n\"Oh come on fuecoco...I'm not leaving you behind! We gotta go or we're gonna be late! Please! I know you don't wanna do this, but we've got no choice!\" he gives fuecoco a hug\n\nL: Fuecoco hugs them back. \"I know, we're gonna get in trouble if we take too much longer...\" He sniffs a little, trying not to cry again. \"Th-this time I'll do it, we have to get it over with.\"\n\nS: the sight of fuecoco's tears made the riolu tear up as well, feeling so bad for his best friend\n\"Alright buddy, let's try this again, I'll go a bit more slow this time...\" he holds fuecoco's hand again\n\"3....2....1...\" he holds his breath and slowly dives underwater again, giving time for his friend to hold his own breath and hoping this time the fuecoco actually follows\n\nL: This time, Fuecoco holds his breath as well, and while he tightly shuts his eyes despite wearing goggles, he finally goes underwater. It's clear he still hates it, and he quickly pinches his nose so he doesn't lose any air.\n\nS: the riolu's cheeks lightly puff with air as he moves his own free hand to pinch his nose shut, he knew he had to be fast so the fuecoco doesn't chicken out, so he quickly starts to swim down as fast as he can, kicking his legs and taking fuecoco with him\n\nL: Fuecoco opens his eyes a little, but whimpers and closes them again as he sees the depth. Trusting Riolu, he holds their hand and lets them take the lead on the dive.\n\nS: the riolu squeezes the fuecoco's hand reassuringly, a few bubbles escaping him as he continues to swim down, he hopes this won't take long\n\nafter what felt like forever, they finally reach the school building, about 100 feet underwater, classes were just about to start, so they arrived just in time, the riolu's face is turning red tho, grunting a little in strain as he's not used to holding his breath this long\n\nL: Fuecoco's face is redder than normal too, and as he realizes he and Riolu have made it to the school, he starts looking around for anywhere to breathe.\n\nS: but there was no time! They had to get to their first class as it starts in 2 minutes! Thankfully it's only homeroom tho, so ignoring his need to breathe, the riolu looks at his new schedule, thankfully riolu and fuecoco having the exact same classes together, he eventually finds the room and goes inside, he briefly looks around the submerged classroom before taking a seat at his desk, somehow not floating up when he did, it certainly felt weird but he knows homeroom doesn't last that long, so he just has to hold on until then, keeping his nose pinched shut, whimpering a tad too\n\nL: As much as Fuecoco wants to breathe first, he goes in with Riolu, sitting at the desk next to them. He tries his best to ignore his need for air, but he continues holding his nose, letting out quiet little whines himself.\n\nS: the riolu tries to hang in there, grunting more in strain as he tries to not embarrass himself in front of the other students, but there are others who are struggling just as much as them, the riolu hopes the teacher will come soon so he can get outta here and breathe\n\nL: Thankfully, before much longer, the teacher, an inteleon, swims into the room. \"Sorry about the wait! I hope you non-water type folks aren't too upset about that, heh...\" She swims to the front of the room, then sinks a bit to stand. \"Now, before we get started, I want to make something clear. Just because someone's not as good in water as you is no reason to make fun of them, okay? Everyone who's been transferred here is likely having a hard enough time as it is.\"\n\nS: the riolu whines loudly as he's struggling to hold his breath, and so are a few students behind him, a lot of bubbles escaping them, the riolu keeps his nose pinched shut and he moves to cover his mouth as well, his face fully red\n\nL: Fuecoco is covering his mouth now as well, trying his best to keep paying attention.\n\nInteleon: \"So, for those of you that are new, the school DOES have air pockets built in, since some water types - myself included - do actually need air. Not every classroom has one, but this one does, I'll open it up so you all can get a breather.\" She goes over to her desk and presses a button on it, and a large panel on the ceiling opens up into an air pocket!\n\nS: seeing the large air pocket above them, the riolu quickly swims up and gasps for air heavily when he reaches the space\n\n\"Hah...hah...omg, this is worse then I thought...oh man...\"\n\nL: Fuecoco quickly swims up to breathe as well, and so do a few other Pokemon.\n\nFuecoco: \"Hah, hah... Th-this is so bad... I don't even know how I'll do this for a DAY!\"\n\nS: \"Yeah, now thinking about it, I thought this couldn't be THAT bad, but it's pretty bad, I don't even wanna go back underwater... I just wanna stay here until this class is over...\"\n\nL: The group can hear the inteleon's voice through a speaker. \"Now, just so you're aware, you can't just stay up there the whole time, you'll have to come back down. You all have another 30 seconds to get ready again, and if you're not out by then, you'll be pushed back underwater.\"\n\nThere's groaning from several of the Pokemon, including Fuecoco, and most of them start deeply breathing again.\n\nFuecoco: \"This is all so stupid...\"\n\nS: \"I agree, 1,000%...I really don't wanna go back underwater, I don't want the teacher to push me back under! That's not right!\" the riolu doesn't do any deep breathing, instead just whimpering loudly and tearing up as he just wants to stay in this air pocket for a while longer, at least until the homeroom class ends\n\nL: Fuecoco: \"You have to get ready, you're not going to be able to hold your breath very long if you don't! I don't want this either, but there's nothing we can do!\"\n\nS: \"No! I don't wanna!\" it seems this situation is getting into riolu's head, he keeps whimpering and whining loudly, enough so even the teacher themselves hear it, even crying too\n\nL: The inteleon sighs through the speaker, with audible bubbling. \"Look, I thought forcing you new guys to come here was an awful idea, but this is just how it is. We just have to try to get used to it in case it's not reversed.\"\n\nS: \"DONT SAY THAT!!!! PLEASE!!!\" the riolu now fully breaks down in tears, he's getting emotional at all this, and he doesn't normally cry like this, he's usually tough...but not in this case, he's still not getting ready\n\nL: After a moment, the inteleon actually surfaces into the air pocket as well. \"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that... We can wait just a bit longer before going back down.\"\n\nFuecoco gives the riolu a hug. \"It's gonna be okay, I'm sure this'll be the only day we have to put up with this...\"\n\nS: the riolu was so deeply sad about all this, but he hugs his best friend back, trying his best to calm down, but it's very hard to do that...he looks at the inteleon with teary eyes\n\nL: The inteleon sighs. \"...Just this once, I'll leave the air pocket open. We're not really meant to do that, but I don't care, you're going to have a panic attack if I don't.\"\n\nSeveral Pokemon sigh in relief, including Fuecoco.\n\nFuecoco: \"Thanks for that, that's gonna help a lot I think...\"\n\nS: \"Thanks I guess...but it's not gonna change the fact that I still have to go underwater! And I think homeroom is almost over!\"\n\nL: Inteleon: \"Right, one more thing to say before you all go. If you've been holding your breath long enough that your face is going blue, no teacher has the right to keep you from getting air at that point. I'm pretty sure that's everything...\"\n\nFuecoco: \"I guess we have to start getting ready to dive again... This is such a pain...\"\n\nS: \"I really don't wanna go back under...but...I guess I don't have a choice...\" the riolu wipes his tears away and finally starts to take some deep breaths\n\nL: Inteleon: \"Yeah, the bell's going to go off any second now... You'll all be alright, don't worry.\"\n\nFuecoco nods, and starts preparing again.\n\nS: the riolu tries to delay the inevitable but soon, the bell rings, and the riolu whines before holding his breath, pinching his nose shut and finally diving back underwater, starting to immediately swim to his next class\n\nL: Fuecoco quickly holds his breath and dives as well, following the riolu to the next class while also holding his nose.\n\nS: the riolu pinches his nose shut as well, and eventually they both find their next class, which is Math... their teacher, a latias, was already there, smiling warmly at them as they approach, then they speak in a surprisingly clear voice\n\nLatias - \"Hello there! Welcome to math class! I'm Latias, your teacher, please...have a seat\"\n\nthe riolu eyes widen at latias, he already feels a bit at ease with them from their tone of voice, but is still scared as he sits down at his desk\n\nL: Fuecoco does smile a little as he sees Latias, her being one of his favorite Pokemon, and he sits at the desk next to Riolu's. He's clearly still nervous, but just like Riolu, he feels a little better.\n\nS: it was one of riolu's favorite too, but he too was still nervous\n\nmeanwhile, latias waits for all her students to join before she starts her class\n\nL: Over about 30 seconds, everyone else comes in and gets to their own desks. A few of them are clearly surprised to see a legendary teaching.\n\nS: Latias - \"Alright class, settle down... as you know we have a few new faces in this school, let's all give a warm welcome to them shall we?\"\n\nthe riolu whines as he keeps his breath held, a lot of bubbles escaping him\n\nL: A few of the Pokemon that are new to the school, including Fuecoco, each give a little wave. Fuecoco covers his mouth after that, trying to stop himself from letting out any more air and last as long as possible.\n\nS: the riolu waves as well before he covers his mouth too, whimpering more\n\nLatias - \"Let's try and make them feel at home during this tough time... I feel so bad for them...\"\n\nL: Fuecoco: \"Mmhm...\" He nods, blushing from strain by now but trying not to make it too obvious.\n\nS: \"Anyways, now that we've got that outta way, let's get into today's lesson\" the latias turns to the board and starts to write a math problem on it, there's a faint blush on her face as well\n\nthe riolu tries to pay attention but it's super hard for him to do so because he has to hold his breath, his whole face blushing in strain already and grunting\n\nL: Fuecoco does his best to put his need to breathe to the back of his mind as he watches Latias, waiting for her to be done as he gets a good look at the math problem.\n\nS: after latias finishes writing the problem, she turns back to face her class, her slightly red blush visible\n\nLatias - \"Can anyone solve this problem?\"\n\nthe riolu stays quiet, he was never good at math... with how much anxiety he has, his face was turning bluer then normal, kicking his legs around frantically, he's not used to being low on breath at all, and when latias saw this, she frowns...there's no air pocket in her classroom, even as she begged the staff to give her one, they refused\n\nL: Fuecoco notices there aren't any panels that look like the one in the previous room... Wanting to save his air because of his face just beginning to go blue, he doesn't say anything, even though he knows the answer.\n\nS: Latias - \"Anyone?\" the latias looks around the room\n\"Oh I can't take this anymore, anyone who needs to breathe, follow me...\"\nthe latias swims out of the room, and the riolu quickly follows, hoping he'll get to breathe\n\nL: Fuecoco hops up from his desk and follows her as well, being trailed by a few other Pokemon, all low on breath and badly needing air.\n\nS: the latias then directs them to a secret air pocket she made a while ago, since the school didn't want to make one for her, she made one herself, and it was big enough for everyone, she surfaces in it and lightly gasps for breath\n\nthe riolu quickly surfaces in it as well and gasps heavily for air\n\nL: Everyone else that followed gasps for breath as well, and it's clear the average mood is just getting worse.\n\nFuecoco tries his best to mentally hold himself together. \"I-I can't keep doing this...\"\n\nS: Riolu - \"M-me either, especially since our next class is P.E!\" the riolu is definitely deteriorating mentally, he doesn't know how much longer he can take of this\n\nLatias - \"You have P.E. after this? Yikes...yeah your definitely not gonna enjoy that...and the coach? He means well but he can push you too far...so be careful...\"\n\nL: Fuecoco: \"O-oh boy... At least P.E. is my favorite class... But I still don't think I'm gonna end up actually having fun...\"\n\nS: Riolu - \"P.E. is normally my favorite class too, but I'm not super excited about underwater P.E. I'm certainly not gonna enjoy this at all...\"\n\nLatias - \"Now as much you guys wanna stay here, we gotta go before somebody finds out about this air pocket, so I'll meet you guys in the classroom\"\nthe latias takes a single deep breath and dives back underwater, swimming back to her classroom\n\nL: \"I can't believe she has to hide this, that's messed up...\" Fuecoco takes a few deep breaths, before holding one and diving, starting to go back to the classroom.\n\nS: Riolu - \"Tell me about it...\" the riolu takes a few deep breathes as well, still hating this before holding one in and diving as well, but before they could go to the classroom, 2 water type pokemon approach them and stop them, but not to be friends, one of them was a Dewott, laughing out bubbles at them\n\nDewott - \"Look! Weak breath holders! They need air like every 2 seconds it seems like! I don't know how they managed to get down here, the pressure probably could have killed them, hahaha!\"\n\nL: The other, a froakie, laughs as well. \"There's even a fire type! Hopefully this'll be the last time we have to go underwater today... Or ever.\"\n\nS: \"It be so nice if it was ever...anyways, let's get ready\" the riolu starts deeply breathing again, hoping this time I'll be the last time he'll ever do this\n\nL: Fuecoco starts getting ready as well, not looking quite as annoyed about it this time since he knows there's a good chance this'll be it.\n\nS: the riolu isn't quite as annoyed either, and soon the riolu holds his breath, pinches his nose shut as dives back underwater, swimming to the entrance of the underwater school\n\nL: Fuecoco holds his breath and follows, holding his own nose as always, this time more so he doesn't give himself or the riolu away with any bubbles.\n\nS: the riolu does the same, moving his hand to cover his mouth as well as they sneakily swim, eventually they get out of the school building with almost no problems, then the riolu holds fuecoco's hand and bolts up towards the surface, going relatively fast\n\nL: While doing his best to speed up the swimming, Fuecoco nervously looks around, hoping no one happens to notice this escape attempt.\n\nS: the riolu looks around too, thankfully it doesn't seem like anyone has noticed, but the feraligatr will probably eventually see that the riolu and fuecoco didn't come back\n\nbut for now, they continue swimming up quickly, already more then halfway up\n\nL: As they go, they hear the feraligatr shouting from below! \"HEY! GET BACK HERE!\" He's swimming after them, and gaining on them!\n\nFuecoco: \"MMM!\" He takes his hand off his nose to frantically paddle at the water, trying to go faster.\n\nS: \"Oblh nblo!!!!\" the riolu does the same and keeps swimming up as fast as possible, they are almost at the surface...and seconds later they surface and gasp for breath, immediately the riolu swims to shore and hopes the feraligatr doesn't actually come up and chase after them on land\n\nL: Fuecoco quickly follows, and while the feraligatr pokes their head out of the water to look at them, they don't continue the chase.\n\nFeraligatr: \"...Whatever, I don't get paid enough for this... But I'll be making sure your parents hear about this!\" With that, he dives back under.\n\nFuecoco is panting a bit from how fast he'd been swimming, as he rests on the shore. \"Th-that was way too close...\"\n\nS: \"Agreed... now let's go home and tell our parents what's going on... and why we did what we did and hope they don't get too mad\"\nthe riolu makes his way to his house\n\nL: Fuecoco goes with them, figuring he might be able to help explain just how bad things were at the school.\n\nS: Soon, the riolu and fuecoco get to riolu's home, and after a bit of hesitation he knocks on the door\n\nL: A few seconds later, the lucario opens the door, and she sighs as she sees the riolu and fuecoco. \"Oh, Riolu... I just got a phone call from your P.E teacher saying you and riolu ditched the place... I kind of expected this to happen... but...I don't know all the details\"\n\nL: \"Well, um... All day we kept getting close to drowning, one of the teachers didn't even have any air in the classroom, we got bullied, even the P.E. teacher was planning on making us hold our breath for a really long time...\" Fuecoco tries to hold himself together as he thinks back to it all.\n\nS: the charizard gasps in shock\n\"Omg... I'm so sorry that happened to you guys... They still haven't gotten rid of that?! L: The report soon comes on, and the school-related part comes up first.

"Many Pokemon that attend middle and high schools in the area have been transferred to an underwater school just off the coast, allegedly in an attempt to help improve students' focus during class. Just how well it's going to work remains to be seen."

S: the riolu's eyes widen in shock at what he just heard, his mouth dropping open too, he's in middle school! So now he's gonna be transferred to an underwater school
"Oh no...I'm in middle school! That means I have to go this...underwater school! Ohhhhh noooooo...... school just got a whole lot worse!"

L: The riolu's mom, a lucario, sighs. "I meant to tell you that sooner so you'd have time to mentally get ready... Sorry."

S: "UGH!!!! And the worse part of it is, I'm not even a good swimmer! I'm gonna struggle here...but I think my best friend is probably gonna struggle more then me, he's a fire type! Aww man..." the riolu is clearly not looking forward to this

L: "Maybe whoever started this will change their mind at some point... But, we'll both be in trouble if I just don't send you to school, so for now we really don't have a choice."

S: "Rats... this sucks! Welp...better get my swim goggles, now where the heck did I put them?" the riolu goes into his room and eventually finds his pair of goggles, he sets them over his forehead for now, looking at his mom with a sad expression
"Let's go I guess, maybe I can meet my fire type bestie on the shore of the underwater school"

L: "I hope so, it'll be a big help if he's there with you. And hey, maybe you'll meet a water type you'll end up friends with, who knows?"

S: "I suppose that could be true, still I'm not gonna like any of this...let's go..." the riolu stuffs his school stuff in a waterproof bag that he got a few months ago, then his mom and riolu head to the shoreline of where the underwater school is at... and just in time, the riolu sees his fire type best friend with his mom there as well

L: His friend, a fuecoco, doesn't look too pleased about this either, but he does smile a little as he sees the riolu. "I guess you must've gotten picked too, huh? At least we'll have each other for this..."

S: the riolu smiles a little as well as he sees his fuecoco friend

"I guess so, but this is really gonna suck..."

his mom, a charizard looks at riolu's mom with a frown

Charizard - "I feel so bad for poor fuecoco... I don't know why the government thinks this is a good idea... the poor thing has been crying all morning ever since I told him, he just now calmed down when he saw riolu"

L: Lucario: "I really don't get this either, how could this possibly help? It seems more like it's just going to traumatize kids..."

Fuecoco: "Riolu, how are we gonna not panic once we go down there? I've never been more than a few feet underwater!"

S: Riolu - "I don't know honestly... I've never been more then few feet underwater either... we are just gonna have to figure it out"

Charizard - "I know you two can do this as long as you stick close together!"

L: Lucario: "You'll just have to tough it out until this gets reversed, I really doubt this'll just be how it is from here on."

Fuecoco: "I really hope you're right, I'm never gonna get used to this... And I hope I don't have to."

S: Riolu - "Same here... I don't wanna have to do this every day, that'll suck"

Charizard- "I believe in you guys ok? You can do it! Now go! Before your late! Oh wait" the charizard pulls out a pair of goggles and puts them over her son's eyes

L: Lucario: "Oh, so did I!" She quickly puts goggles on riolu as well.

Fuecoco: "Th-thanks, mom..." He's getting nervous again, knowing he'll have to go underwater soon.

Charizard - "Alright Fuecoco, try to have a good day ok? I'll see you after school..." she comes over and gives fuecoco a big hug, then she spreads her wings and takes off into the air, flying away...taking one last look at fuecoco with concern before leaving

L: The fuecoco waves goodbye to his mom, still looking sad.

Lucario: "You be careful down there, Riolu. Make sure you don't go far from any place to breathe, okay?" She gives Riolu a hug.

S: Riolu - "Ok mom..." Riolu hugs his mom back tightly, a bit of tears streaming from his face
"I don't wanna go down there... but I don't have a choice...."

L: Lucario: "You'll be okay, I'm sure there's plenty of people that can help if something somehow goes wrong. Stay safe down there, buddy..."

S: riolu whimpers sadly, hugging his mom tighter and refusing to let her go

L: "...Riolu, you need to let go of me, we can't have you missing the ride to the school. Otherwise, getting there is probably going to be even worse..."

Fuecoco: "Come on, Riolu, I don't want to have to go on my own..."

S: the riolu sighs and finally let's go of his mom
"I'm sorry mom...i-im gonna go...come on fuecoco" the riolu, still in tears walks away from his mom to catch the ride down to the school

L: Lucario: "Good luck down there, you two!" She waves goodbye as she leaves.

Fuecoco sighs as he looks out at the water. "I wonder how we're getting down there... Maybe it's a submarine?"

S: "Maybe...I don't know"

but after 8 minutes of waiting, nothing shows up, they actually have to swim down there themselves, nothing is easy for these two

"Ok, nothings coming, I don't think there is a ride! We have to get down there ourselfs!"

L: "Ugh, right, this school is for water types, they wouldn't have something like that... M-maybe we could ask someone for a ride, at least?"

S: "There's nobody here but us fuecoco...I think almost everyone is already down there! We can't be late! I hate being late! We gotta just go...as much as I don't wanna"

the riolu gets into the water, adjusting his swim goggles

"Come on buddy!"

L: The fuecoco nervously gets in as well, swimming on the surface. "O-oh, this is really gonna suck, going so far down..."

S: "I know buddy... it really is, but we have to get this done... hopefully it's not too far, now get some deep breathes" the riolu takes some deep breathes to get ready for a long dive ahead

L: "O-okay..." The fuecoco deeply breathes as well, staying just as scared the whole time.

S: the riolu is scared the whole time as well and after a bit of preparing and a little bit of whining, the riolu takes fuecoco's hand in his

"3....2....1..." riolu takes a final breath, holds it in and dives underwater, slowly so that the fuecoco has time to hold his breath too

L: As the riolu starts bringing him down, the fuecoco happens to finally get a good look at exactly how far down they're going to need to go, and he yelps as he pulls away from the riolu. "I-I can't... I can't do it..."

S: the riolu sighs out bubbles before returning to the surface and lightly gasping
"Oh come on fuecoco...I'm not leaving you behind! We gotta go or we're gonna be late! Please! I know you don't wanna do this, but we've got no choice!" he gives fuecoco a hug

L: Fuecoco hugs them back. "I know, we're gonna get in trouble if we take too much longer..." He sniffs a little, trying not to cry again. "Th-this time I'll do it, we have to get it over with."

S: the sight of fuecoco's tears made the riolu tear up as well, feeling so bad for his best friend
"Alright buddy, let's try this again, I'll go a bit more slow this time..." he holds fuecoco's hand again
"3....2....1..." he holds his breath and slowly dives underwater again, giving time for his friend to hold his own breath and hoping this time the fuecoco actually follows

L: This time, Fuecoco holds his breath as well, and while he tightly shuts his eyes despite wearing goggles, he finally goes underwater. It's clear he still hates it, and he quickly pinches his nose so he doesn't lose any air.

S: the riolu's cheeks lightly puff with air as he moves his own free hand to pinch his nose shut, he knew he had to be fast so the fuecoco doesn't chicken out, so he quickly starts to swim down as fast as he can, kicking his legs and taking fuecoco with him

L: Fuecoco opens his eyes a little, but whimpers and closes them again as he sees the depth. Trusting Riolu, he holds their hand and lets them take the lead on the dive.

S: the riolu squeezes the fuecoco's hand reassuringly, a few bubbles escaping him as he continues to swim down, he hopes this won't take long

after what felt like forever, they finally reach the school building, about 100 feet underwater, classes were just about to start, so they arrived just in time, the riolu's face is turning red tho, grunting a little in strain as he's not used to holding his breath this long

L: Fuecoco's face is redder than normal too, and as he realizes he and Riolu have made it to the school, he starts looking around for anywhere to breathe.

S: but there was no time! They had to get to their first class as it starts in 2 minutes! Thankfully it's only homeroom tho, so ignoring his need to breathe, the riolu looks at his new schedule, thankfully riolu and fuecoco having the exact same classes together, he eventually finds the room and goes inside, he briefly looks around the submerged classroom before taking a seat at his desk, somehow not floating up when he did, it certainly felt weird but he knows homeroom doesn't last that long, so he just has to hold on until then, keeping his nose pinched shut, whimpering a tad too

L: As much as Fuecoco wants to breathe first, he goes in with Riolu, sitting at the desk next to them. He tries his best to ignore his need for air, but he continues holding his nose, letting out quiet little whines himself.

S: the riolu tries to hang in there, grunting more in strain as he tries to not embarrass himself in front of the other students, but there are others who are struggling just as much as them, the riolu hopes the teacher will come soon so he can get outta here and breathe

L: Thankfully, before much longer, the teacher, an inteleon, swims into the room. "Sorry about the wait! I hope you non-water type folks aren't too upset about that, heh..." She swims to the front of the room, then sinks a bit to stand. "Now, before we get started, I want to make something clear. Just because someone's not as good in water as you is no reason to make fun of them, okay? Everyone who's been transferred here is likely having a hard enough time as it is."

S: the riolu whines loudly as he's struggling to hold his breath, and so are a few students behind him, a lot of bubbles escaping them, the riolu keeps his nose pinched shut and he moves to cover his mouth as well, his face fully red

L: Fuecoco is covering his mouth now as well, trying his best to keep paying attention.

Inteleon: "So, for those of you that are new, the school DOES have air pockets built in, since some water types - myself included - do actually need air. Not every classroom has one, but this one does, I'll open it up so you all can get a breather." She goes over to her desk and presses a button on it, and a large panel on the ceiling opens up into an air pocket!

S: seeing the large air pocket above them, the riolu quickly swims up and gasps for air heavily when he reaches the space

"Hah...hah...omg, this is worse then I thought...oh man..."

L: Fuecoco quickly swims up to breathe as well, and so do a few other Pokemon.

Fuecoco: "Hah, hah... Th-this is so bad... I don't even know how I'll do this for a DAY!"

S: "Yeah, now thinking about it, I thought this couldn't be THAT bad, but it's pretty bad, I don't even wanna go back underwater... I just wanna stay here until this class is over..."

L: The group can hear the inteleon's voice through a speaker. "Now, just so you're aware, you can't just stay up there the whole time, you'll have to come back down. You all have another 30 seconds to get ready again, and if you're not out by then, you'll be pushed back underwater."

There's groaning from several of the Pokemon, including Fuecoco, and most of them start deeply breathing again.

Fuecoco: "This is all so stupid..."

S: "I agree, 1,000%...I really don't wanna go back underwater, I don't want the teacher to push me back under! That's not right!" the riolu doesn't do any deep breathing, instead just whimpering loudly and tearing up as he just wants to stay in this air pocket for a while longer, at least until the homeroom class ends

L: Fuecoco: "You have to get ready, you're not going to be able to hold your breath very long if you don't! I don't want this either, but there's nothing we can do!"

S: "No! I don't wanna!" it seems this situation is getting into riolu's head, he keeps whimpering and whining loudly, enough so even the teacher themselves hear it, even crying too

L: The inteleon sighs through the speaker, with audible bubbling. "Look, I thought forcing you new guys to come here was an awful idea, but this is just how it is. We just have to try to get used to it in case it's not reversed."

S: "DONT SAY THAT!!!! PLEASE!!!" the riolu now fully breaks down in tears, he's getting emotional at all this, and he doesn't normally cry like this, he's usually tough...but not in this case, he's still not getting ready

L: After a moment, the inteleon actually surfaces into the air pocket as well. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that... We can wait just a bit longer before going back down."

Fuecoco gives the riolu a hug. "It's gonna be okay, I'm sure this'll be the only day we have to put up with this..."

S: the riolu was so deeply sad about all this, but he hugs his best friend back, trying his best to calm down, but it's very hard to do that...he looks at the inteleon with teary eyes

L: The inteleon sighs. "...Just this once, I'll leave the air pocket open. We're not really meant to do that, but I don't care, you're going to have a panic attack if I don't."

Several Pokemon sigh in relief, including Fuecoco.

Fuecoco: "Thanks for that, that's gonna help a lot I think..."

S: "Thanks I guess...but it's not gonna change the fact that I still have to go underwater! And I think homeroom is almost over!"

L: Inteleon: "Right, one more thing to say before you all go. If you've been holding your breath long enough that your face is going blue, no teacher has the right to keep you from getting air at that point. I'm pretty sure that's everything..."

Fuecoco: "I guess we have to start getting ready to dive again... This is such a pain..."

S: "I really don't wanna go back under...but...I guess I don't have a choice..." the riolu wipes his tears away and finally starts to take some deep breaths

L: Inteleon: "Yeah, the bell's going to go off any second now... You'll all be alright, don't worry."

Fuecoco nods, and starts preparing again.

S: the riolu tries to delay the inevitable but soon, the bell rings, and the riolu whines before holding his breath, pinching his nose shut and finally diving back underwater, starting to immediately swim to his next class

L: Fuecoco quickly holds his breath and dives as well, following the riolu to the next class while also holding his nose.

S: the riolu pinches his nose shut as well, and eventually they both find their next class, which is Math... their teacher, a latias, was already there, smiling warmly at them as they approach, then they speak in a surprisingly clear voice

Latias - "Hello there! Welcome to math class! I'm Latias, your teacher, please...have a seat"

the riolu eyes widen at latias, he already feels a bit at ease with them from their tone of voice, but is still scared as he sits down at his desk

L: Fuecoco does smile a little as he sees Latias, her being one of his favorite Pokemon, and he sits at the desk next to Riolu's. He's clearly still nervous, but just like Riolu, he feels a little better.

S: it was one of riolu's favorite too, but he too was still nervous

meanwhile, latias waits for all her students to join before she starts her class

L: Over about 30 seconds, everyone else comes in and gets to their own desks. A few of them are clearly surprised to see a legendary teaching.

S: Latias - "Alright class, settle down... as you know we have a few new faces in this school, let's all give a warm welcome to them shall we?"

the riolu whines as he keeps his breath held, a lot of bubbles escaping him

L: A few of the Pokemon that are new to the school, including Fuecoco, each give a little wave. Fuecoco covers his mouth after that, trying to stop himself from letting out any more air and last as long as possible.

S: the riolu waves as well before he covers his mouth too, whimpering more

Latias - "Let's try and make them feel at home during this tough time... I feel so bad for them..."

L: Fuecoco: "Mmhm..." He nods, blushing from strain by now but trying not to make it too obvious.

S: "Anyways, now that we've got that outta way, let's get into today's lesson" the latias turns to the board and starts to write a math problem on it, there's a faint blush on her face as well

the riolu tries to pay attention but it's super hard for him to do so because he has to hold his breath, his whole face blushing in strain already and grunting

L: Fuecoco does his best to put his need to breathe to the back of his mind as he watches Latias, waiting for her to be done as he gets a good look at the math problem.

S: after latias finishes writing the problem, she turns back to face her class, her slightly red blush visible

Latias - "Can anyone solve this problem?"

the riolu stays quiet, he was never good at math... with how much anxiety he has, his face was turning bluer then normal, kicking his legs around frantically, he's not used to being low on breath at all, and when latias saw this, she frowns...there's no air pocket in her classroom, even as she begged the staff to give her one, they refused

L: Fuecoco notices there aren't any panels that look like the one in the previous room... Wanting to save his air because of his face just beginning to go blue, he doesn't say anything, even though he knows the answer.

S: Latias - "Anyone?" the latias looks around the room
"Oh I can't take this anymore, anyone who needs to breathe, follow me..."
the latias swims out of the room, and the riolu quickly follows, hoping he'll get to breathe

L: Fuecoco hops up from his desk and follows her as well, being trailed by a few other Pokemon, all low on breath and badly needing air.

S: the latias then directs them to a secret air pocket she made a while ago, since the school didn't want to make one for her, she made one herself, and it was big enough for everyone, she surfaces in it and lightly gasps for breath

the riolu quickly surfaces in it as well and gasps heavily for air

L: Everyone else that followed gasps for breath as well, and it's clear the average mood is just getting worse.

Fuecoco tries his best to mentally hold himself together. "I-I can't keep doing this..."

S: Riolu - "M-me either, especially since our next class is P.E!" the riolu is definitely deteriorating mentally, he doesn't know how much longer he can take of this

Latias - "You have P.E. after this? Yikes...yeah your definitely not gonna enjoy that...and the coach? He means well but he can push you too far...so be careful..."

L: Fuecoco: "O-oh boy... At least P.E. is my favorite class... But I still don't think I'm gonna end up actually having fun..."

S: Riolu - "P.E. is normally my favorite class too, but I'm not super excited about underwater P.E. I'm certainly not gonna enjoy this at all..."

Latias - "Now as much you guys wanna stay here, we gotta go before somebody finds out about this air pocket, so I'll meet you guys in the classroom"
the latias takes a single deep breath and dives back underwater, swimming back to her classroom

L: "I can't believe she has to hide this, that's messed up..." Fuecoco takes a few deep breaths, before holding one and diving, starting to go back to the classroom.

S: Riolu - "Tell me about it..." the riolu takes a few deep breathes as well, still hating this before holding one in and diving as well, but before they could go to the classroom, 2 water type pokemon approach them and stop them, but not to be friends, one of them was a Dewott, laughing out bubbles at them

Dewott - "Look! Weak breath holders! They need air like every 2 seconds it seems like! I don't know how they managed to get down here, the pressure probably could have killed them, hahaha!"

L: The other, a froakie, laughs as well. "There's even a fire type! You guys are lucky you're even doing THIS well down here, it's only a matter of time until one of you ends up breathing water!"

Fuecoco whines a little as he tries to ignore them and just pass by, but they keep managing to block him, being much better at swimming than him.

S: the riolu, wanting to protect his friend moves in front of his bestie and even speaks while glaring at them

Riolu - "Hbley!! Thblats noblt niblce!! Leblave ubls alblone!"

Dewott - "Bruh! His bubble speech is ridiculous! It sounds like an old TV that's on static mode or something! Haha!! Awwww little guy is protecting his buddy huh? Not cute"

L: Froakie: "Aw, I always love hearing them try to talk down here! Go on, keep trying, bubble out all your air! And come on, it's not like you can keep us from reaching him if we want to!"

Fuecoco nervously looks between the two bullies, unsure what to do, as he's already starting to blush again...

S: Riolu - "Hbley knblock iblt oblff ok!?" the riolu's face is red too and whimpers

Dewott - "Ha!! Their faces are already red and they just got air! I swear their lungs are so weak! You could easily squeeze the air out of them and they will drown in an instant!"

L: Froakie: "Oh, do you want to try that? We haven't squeezed the air out of someone in a while!"

Fuecoco's eyes go wide at that. "Ybl-yoblu dobln't nebled tblo dblo thblat!"

S: the riolu's eyes go wide too

Riolu - "Ummm....t-thblats noblt necblessary!!!"

Dewott - "I thought you never asked! Let's do it!"

the dewott easily picks up the riolu and starts to squeeze the air out of him, allowing his friend to get the fuecoco and do the same, the riolu let's out a ton of air from this, his face already fully bluer then normal

meanwhile, the latias notices the riolu and fuecoco isn't here and swims outside to check on things

Latias - "What is going on out here?!"

L: The froakie had grabbed Fuecoco and was just starting to squeeze as Latias returned, and he looks over at her as he stops. "O-oh crap..."

Fuecoco: "Hblelp, thbley'rble goblnna drblown ubls!"

S: the riolu nods, trying to cover his mouth as he's very low on breath

Latias - "Hey!!! You get outta here right now, or I'm gonna send you to the principal's office!"

Dewott - "Oh shoot! We're busted! Let's go buddy!" the dewott quickly swims away after releasing riolu

L: Froakie: "Right behind you!" He lets go of Fuecoco and bolts after the dewott.

Fuecoco quickly tries to help cover the riolu's mouth, and looks over at Latias. "Cbl-cabln wble gblo tblo thble aiblr poblckeblt agblain?"

S: Latias - "I can't believe those guys did that to you, bullying someone like this, yes of course...come on let's go"

latias then quickly leads the two of them to the air pocket, she stays down and let's riolu and fuecoco surface, and once they do so, riolu gasps heavily

Riolu - "I-i-I can't believe they did that!!! I almost drowned!!! I don't wanna be here anymore!"

the bell rings, signaling it's time for the next class already

L: Fuecoco catches his breath while he can. "Neither do I... We should at least be getting close to the end of the day, though..."

S: "I think we're like halfway done, if P.E. is any bad, then I quit... we're going back to the real surface and i dont care what anyone says, now come on let's go before we're late!" the riolu takes some quick deep breathes then holds his breath and dives under, latias by now returned to her classroom as the riolu swims outside the building to where P.E. is, he hopes the coach isnt as bad as how latias described it

L: Fuecoco does start to consider skipping too...

The teacher is a feraligatr, who already looks a little displeased. "Certainly took you all long enough to get here. For those of you that are new; we train muscles AND lungs here. If you have any objections to that, tough."

S: "Ublh oblh...I alblready dblo nblot liblke thblis..."

one of the students, a Squirtle leans in to whisper to both fuecoco and Riolu

Squirtle - "Prepare yourselfs, your in for it..."

the squirtle knows that the coach is gonna start with both riolu and fuecoco for this, and is warning them that the feraligatr, doesn't take things lightly when it comes to lung training

L: Feraligatr: "You, the riolu and fuecoco." He points to them. "You're with me for this class. The rest of you, swim laps for now, and don't get air until you're going blue."

Fuecoco nervously swims up to the feraligatr, wondering what's in store...

S: Squirtle - "Ughhh!!!" the rest of the class does so, but even at that, they don't even follow that and just get air when they are low enough without the coach knowing

the riolu also nervously swims up to the feraligatr
Riolu - "W-w-whblat ablre yblou gblonna mablke ubls dblo???" the riolu was very scared, his face already a little red

L: Feraligatr: "I do this test with all newbies. Go breathe, then come back and stay here with me until I say otherwise. I need an idea of how well you can each already hold your breath."

Fuecoco: "Nbl-nblo, coblme obln, webl've hblad iblt hblard enblougblh alblreabldy!"

S: "Whblat!?!? Absblolutely noblt! Me anbld fuecbloco have alblready beblen publshed enblough toblday, plblease dblont mablke ubls publsh oublrselfbles agblain!! I reblfuse to dblo thblis!" the riolu looks at the feraligatr with an innocent and cute expression, he really doesn't wanna test his lungs right now, they are very sore

L: Fuecoco: "Noblt dobling thblis, nblo wably!"

Feraligatr: "Oh, quit your whining and get on with it. You've been getting pushed all day, you said it yourself, what's one more time?"

S: "I ablm nblot gobling to suffbler agblain, I reblfublse! Nblo!!! Wble ablre nblot dobling iblt! Anbld thblats finblal!"
the riolu's face is slightly red but he doesn't care right now

L: Fuecoco nods in agreement, clearly frustrated.

Feraligatr: "Ugh, so many new students are being such a pain... Do I have to just hold onto you two to make this happen? Wouldn't be the first time."

S: the riolu yelps out bubbles at that, he clearly doesn't wanna be held down as he knows he won't ve escaping feraligatr's grasp
"N-no!!! Dblont dblo thblat!! Ivble alblready beblen bullibled onblce!"
the riolu was starting to look up at the far away surface, wondering if him and the fuecoco should just bolt up to it right then and there, but he probably thinks the feraligatr will just chase them down easily, so he had to come up with another plan

L: Fuecoco tries to think of something to do too, sick of just putting up with holding his breath so long. He wonders if it might be possible to pin the feraligatr by dropping something on them...

Feraligatr: "Well then go breathe and come back here yourselves!"

S: the riolu suddenly gets an idea, he gestures for the fuecoco to go back into the school building and to the air pocket that latias made, surfacing in it and gasping
"Let's just leave right here, the coach will never know we are gone until it's too late, we just gotta be careful, I'm sick and tired of this underwater school"

L: Fuecoco: "...You know what, you're right. I never thought I'd skip school before, but... I feel like I'm gonna go insane if we stay here much longer. We HAVE to leave."

S: "I never thought I be skipping school either, but yeah I'm gonna go crazy if I stay here, let's sneak out to the front enternce of the school, then it's a straight shot up to the surface, shouldn't be too hard as long as nobody catches us"

L: "Okay, yeah, I don't see any reason for someone to be watching there. Hopefully this'll be the last time we have to go underwater today... Or ever."

S: "It be so nice if it was ever...anyways, let's get ready" the riolu starts deeply breathing again, hoping this time I'll be the last time he'll ever do this

L: Fuecoco starts getting ready as well, not looking quite as annoyed about it this time since he knows there's a good chance this'll be it.

S: the riolu isn't quite as annoyed either, and soon the riolu holds his breath, pinches his nose shut as dives back underwater, swimming to the entrance of the underwater school

L: Fuecoco holds his breath and follows, holding his own nose as always, this time more so he doesn't give himself or the riolu away with any bubbles.

S: the riolu does the same, moving his hand to cover his mouth as well as they sneakily swim, eventually they get out of the school building with almost no problems, then the riolu holds fuecoco's hand and bolts up towards the surface, going relatively fast

L: While doing his best to speed up the swimming, Fuecoco nervously looks around, hoping no one happens to notice this escape attempt.

S: the riolu looks around too, thankfully it doesn't seem like anyone has noticed, but the feraligatr will probably eventually see that the riolu and fuecoco didn't come back

but for now, they continue swimming up quickly, already more then halfway up

L: As they go, they hear the feraligatr shouting from below! "HEY! GET BACK HERE!" He's swimming after them, and gaining on them!

Fuecoco: "MMM!" He takes his hand off his nose to frantically paddle at the water, trying to go faster.

S: "Oblh nblo!!!!" the riolu does the same and keeps swimming up as fast as possible, they are almost at the surface...and seconds later they surface and gasp for breath, immediately the riolu swims to shore and hopes the feraligatr doesn't actually come up and chase after them on land

L: Fuecoco quickly follows, and while the feraligatr pokes their head out of the water to look at them, they don't continue the chase.

Feraligatr: "...Whatever, I don't get paid enough for this... But I'll be making sure your parents hear about this!" With that, he dives back under.

Fuecoco is panting a bit from how fast he'd been swimming, as he rests on the shore. "Th-that was way too close..."

S: "Agreed... now let's go home and tell our parents what's going on... and why we did what we did and hope they don't get too mad"
the riolu makes his way to his house

L: Fuecoco goes with them, figuring he might be able to help explain just how bad things were at the school.

S: Soon, the riolu and fuecoco get to riolu's home, and after a bit of hesitation he knocks on the door

L: A few seconds later, the lucario opens the door, and she sighs as she sees the riolu and fuecoco. "Oh, Riolu... I should've known all this would happen..."

Fuecoco: "It was awful, we didn't have a choice..."

S: "Yeah! It was horrible! My lungs are so sore, we've been pushed to our limits all day, I was even bullied and almost drowned because of them, and not only that, the P.E teacher was gonna add to our suffering and make us train our lungs more...we had to get outta there...im sorry mom I know this wasn't right...but if me and my bestie stayed down there any longer we would have gone insane, we couldn't last the full day..."

L: Lucario: "If I'd known it was going to be that bad, I never would've sent you there..." She gives the riolu a hug. "I'll do my best to get you sent back to the other school, I hate seeing you like this."

Fuecoco: "Hopefully my mom's gonna feel the same way..."

S: the riolu whimpers and hugs his mom back tightly
"I never wanna go back down there again! Please! Protect me! I never want to submerge underwater after this..."

L: Lucario: "Let's just relax for the rest of today while we get this figured out... And, Fuecoco, you should get back to your home as well. Don't stay out on your own for too long."

Fuecoco: "Yeah, I'm gonna get going... Hopefully tomorrow's gonna be better, Riolu..."

S: "Me too buddy...thanks for keeping me company tho" the riolu gives the fuecoco one last hug goodbye before he sees them walk away to their own home, and by now that feraligatr is definitely gonna be telling both riolu and fuecoco's mom about them leaving

L: Fuecoco arrives at his home and knocks on the door, nervous about what his mom is going to say.

S: the door opens as charizard is there, she frowns as she sees her son

Charizard - "Oh fuecoco... I just got a phone call from your P.E teacher saying you and riolu ditched the place... I kind of expected this to happen... but...I don't know all the details"

L: "Well, um... All day we kept getting close to drowning, one of the teachers didn't even have any air in the classroom, we got bullied, even the P.E. teacher was planning on making us hold our breath for a really long time..." Fuecoco tries to hold himself together as he thinks back to it all.

S: the charizard gasps in shock
"Omg... I'm so sorry that happened to you guys... I know ditching school is wrong but in this scenario, heck I probably would have gotten outta there myself if I was in your shoes... you poor little thing" she then hugs fuecoco tightly
"As much as I don't wanna get into any trouble, I think keeping you here with me is the safe option, even if your teacher threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't send you back down there..."

L: "Th-thanks, mom..." He hugs her back, holding back tears. "P-please don't make me go there again..."

S: "Awww.... I won't, I promise...I don't care what the news said, I care about your well being, not your education right now" the charizard couldn't help but cry just a bit for her son, she can't believe this all happened, she wants to put a stop to this, as she's sure other kids are probably still suffering underwater

L: "R-Riolu's fine, by the way... We went to his place first, and his mom feels the same as you about this..."

S: "Oh well that's good to hear, listen um...you've had a tough day and I'm sure your lungs are very tired so go ahead and get some rest in your room while I figure this out ok?"

L: "Yeah, I'm gonna just lay down for a while and try to forget about all this..." Fuecoco heads to his room to relax.

S: we fast forward to the next day, and the government still hasn't complyed with the whole underwater school thing, but it seems like everyone is getting the message, because everyone who was transferred to it was not having it anymore, they too weren't coming, the lucario and charizard together try to protest this so the kids can go back to their normal schools and not having to worry about this anymore

L: There's another news report on the situation today. "A mass revolt is occurring across the region as almost all those that had been transferred to underwater schools are now refusing to attend them. Despite this, the government continues to stand by their decision, assuring the people that "It'll be for the best in the long run." Personally, I don't see how anything good could come of all this..."

S: Riolu - "Are you serious?! They still haven't gotten rid of that?! Mama mia..."

He sighs heavily, hoping that nobody will force him to go to the school, but nothing in life is easy

L: Lucario: "Who even decided this should happen in the first place!?"

Fuecoco: "This is all so stupid, I hate this!"

S: Riolu - "I don't know who decided this was a good idea, but I hate it!"

L: Suddenly, the reporter is handed a note. "...I'm just getting word now, everyone that had been transferred to aquatic schools is being transferred back to their original schools, and the government has apologized for the unnecessary change. I'm sure there'll be quite the big collective sigh of relief at that!"

Fuecoco: "W-wait, really? That's awesome, it's over!"

Lucario: "Looks like someone must've talked some sense into them after all!"

S: "No way!!! That's incredible!!! I don't know who talked them out of it, but good job to them"

Charizard - "What a relief... now that we know it's all over, I guess we could go and celebrate then yeah? I'm sure the regular schools will start back up tomorrow"

Riolu - "Yeah!!! And I want some ice cream!"

L: Fuecoco: "Me too, yeah!"

Lucario: "You know what, let's go get some! Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate!"

S: Charizard - "I agree! Let's get some ice cream then! My treat!"

Riolu - "Alright!!!!"
