\n\t\t\t\t\tNoname0322Lugia wandered in a forest, deep in thought about something. He paid little mind to where he went, as being able to fly made it quite hard to get lost, and didn't even notice the ground below him suddenly become much softer.
Walking became difficult and coolness enveloped his tail, finally interrupting his train of thought and prompting him to look down at what might be causing it. A sort of orange-brown substance was the culprit, visibly climbing up his body.
Lugia blushed and grew excited as he recognized what he'd absentmindedly walked into: A pool of quicksand! He'd always hoped he'd someday find one, always hearing stories about others encountering the stuff, and wished he could do the same, as the concept had a strange appeal to him. It was finally happening, although quite faster than he'd expected.
Already up to his neck in quicksand, he struggled for a moment and managed to pull a hand free. Not to escape - indeed, that was the last thing on his mind right now - but to just look at how the quicksand clung to him. His hand was entirely coated with it, uneven in places, with small globs sliding down the back side, and still pleasantly cool despite not being submerged.
Letting his hand drop below once again with a wet splat, Lugia soon sank to the point that all that remained above the surface was his head. It wouldn't stay there long, as he felt the quicksand creeping up to fully submerge him. Tilting his head back, he took a deep breath and puffed his cheeks, not bothering to actually time it to maximize how long he could stay under.
The quicksand rose up his head, and soon covered his nostrils, keeping him from breathing even if he wanted to. Lugia still was perfectly fine with this, calmly holding his breath and blowing bubbles. Despite being partially aquatic, he kept his eyes closed, knowing that the quicksand likely wouldn't be too good on them. His body continued to sink, with no sign of reaching the bottom anytime soon, but he simply allowed it. He could hold his breath a long time, and when he'd finally land on the bottom, he could simply walk and climb out once he'd had enough. He'd definitely have to remember where this pool was, so he could make a return trip!
