  "description": "The Penitent Position is an efficient-if harsh- training method. Horses with severe behavioral issues have been shown to respond well to it, becoming docile after only 3 sessions. \n\nProcedure:\n\n-1st session is recommended to last 24 hours- 2nd session, 48 hours. Final session, 72 hours (with a watering and feeding break at the 48 hour mark).\n\n-It is recommended to set the holding posts outside and away from trees or buildings to ensure full exposure to the elements. \n\n-It is recommended to use untreated leather, previously soaked in water for a period of 24 hours. The leather will dry up, tightening its grip on the animal. This adds a passive-torture to the exercise. \n\n- Restrain the horse completely, folding its legs underneath it and forcing it on its stomach.\n\n-Add a bit that punishes head-movement, and arch its neck to difficult breathing. Blindfold the animal, and if possible, obstruct its ears. \n\n-Shave the horse’s tail to facilitate access to its annus. It is also recommended to shave its rear and back to maximize whip/skin contact. \n\n-Do not water or feed the horse during this time (max. 48 hours!)\n\n-Water and treats may be placed right below its restraint head. The smell of fresh water and apples it cannot reach will add passive-torture to the exercise. \n\n-Every 6 hours, whip the horse thoroughly. Preferably, 2 strong men at a time. Horse must be heaving and sweat-drenched before it is considered a proper whipping. It may continue, but it is preferable not to stop before this point. \n\n-It is recommended to coat the animal’s genitals with honey. It will attract insects and add a passive-torture to the exercise. It is not required to add honey to the whip-marks, as insects will be attracted naturally to them. \n\n-The horse must be manhandled continuously during this exercise. It is recommended to have stablehands specifically dedicated to this task, but a smart way to help the process is to encourage all employees to participate. Everyone may get cranky during the day!\n\nThese minor torments may be applied in intervals of 10 minutes-with a mandatory 10 minute breaks in between, at the very least. (WARNING: always have experienced tamers supervising inexperienced workers).
