I hope you enjoy both the story and drawing..[/i]\n\nBagheera wasn’t kidding when he said there were many legends told of the jungles of India. As I learned firsthand when I gazed into the reflection pond at that ancient temple and transformed into the first animal that I saw upon leaving the temple.\n\nLucky for me, Colonel Hathi is always looking for new recruits to his pachyderm brigade and I not only looked like one of the elephants, but I was one of them in every conceivable way.\n\nStill, being as I’d only been with the herd for roughly a week and the trust of my new family was not completely earned - especially since I was awkward at just about everything that an elephant can do - I was given the most menial tasks and had not yet been sent out on any important missions from the colonel.\n\nMy only true friend among the herd was the colonel’s young son, whom everyone just called Junior. Given his young age, he thought I was no different than any other elephant, and for a while he said more words to me than any of the others. I guess the close bond we’d formed was the reason that the colonel decided to make me Junior’s designated babysitter.\n\nSo while the rest of the herd went off on a mission that would take them away from this part of the jungle for a couple of days, I was left with Junior to keep an eye on things. The two of us did everything together: we ate, we took dust baths to keep the bugs off of us, and we even played army together with Junior as the superior officer as he told me that he wanted to be just like his pop.\n\nWhen it came to bath time at the end of every day, Junior still needed help getting cleaned up, a job that his mother normally did. It was during our first bath time that he asked me to help him wash his back and butt. This caught me by surprise as I never expected him to feel that comfortable with me. A little worried that he might say something to the colonel if I didn’t comply, I agreed.\n\nJunior turned around so that he was now facing away from me in the watering hole and raised his tail up for me so I could spray his tushy.
