Instead, they found themselves struggling relentlessly against their binds, gags muffling their cries for help. Padded mitts and shoes would prevent their escape, and the soft rope wrapped around them, pressing on their bodies and their wings, well, it didn't feel great. Worse still was the fact that they were left in the dark for goodness knows how long, as both a blindfold covered their eyes and they were kept in what felt like a rather cool basement somewhere far, perhaps a suburban area? Even their tails were tucked and tied tightly under the chair, further adding to their helpless situation.
At least whoever captured them left their dresses on, and more importantly, kept them together. Even with their gags they at least had each other to keep company, assuring that they were still here. At least they could assure one another that they were safe, ish, and right now, that's all they could really ask for.
