"description": "Kevin didn't often think about things too deeply, he simply ran through life operating on pure animal instinct. \n\nThat was why he often avoided most of the troubles that seemed to affect many of those around him, his subconscious mind simply turned him away from those events which could bring pain and suffering onto either himself or those he cared for. This was the reason why anything that actually happened to make him come face to face with feelings of hurt or despair hit the young prince with the force of a steel hard fist to the chest, and one of the reasons why he found it so difficult to actually put a handle on such dark emotions. With that in mind, Kevin found himself doing everything in his power to avoid the Beast King, as the sight of his father would often make his blood boil over whenever he was in the presence of the older beastman. The thought of what he had done, the knowledge of the cowardly trick he had pulled, and the smug attitude he fostered whenever Kevin was in his presence was enough to make the golden haired youth instantly want to attack him again. Prior memory forbade him from doing as such, as his father was an immensely strong warrior, the likes of whom could probably still send him flying if he put all of his strength into attacking him. \n\nWith this knowledge at hand Kevin spent much of his time within the shadows of the forest training himself, not just to avoid coming to blows with the beastman who had brought him into the now much more turbulent world, but to calm the emotions which burned within his heart. Ironically enough, the martial arts practice he had been taught by his father, along with long hours spent meditating, helped to quiet the cloying swell of darkness which was trying to swallow his heart. The feeling of his muscles straining as he punched at the air, or against the side of a tree, or into the body of a monster kept Kevin from lashing out as wildly whenever he came across one of his people. Long jogs through the forest aided him in his pursuit of inner peace as well, since the young prince could go for miles on end without even thinking about where he was going. And yet no matter how much training he did, no matter how much exertion he put himself through, Kevin would often find himself snarling in anger at the thought of everything that his father had done.\n\nBeing with Karl helped to settle his fury, as the young wolf pup would always remain at his side through the worst of hit bouts of rage, however there was just so much that the feral creature could do in the face of his very human emotions Kevin would often unleash. Sometimes it got to the point where Kevin forced Karl to remain behind near the castle walls while he went off alone on a long swim to one of the human cities in order to visit his friends. Going to see Duran was easier than heading out to see Hawkeye, as many ships didn't bother traveling to Nevarl unless they had to these days. This was a consequence of the seas becoming more and more tumultuous to travel across, seeing as without the power of mana keeping things in balance monsters were starting to roam the seas more often, thus causing the waves to buck and churn like a living thing attempting to fight off disease. Kevin felt this as well, but he was able to power through his long journey thanks to his intense training and his burning anger. \n\nHis talks with Duran once he made it to the Valsena Kingdom were a calm balm for the young prince, seeing that the young brunette was able to speak with him on much easier terms than the humans who often found him hard to converse with thanks to his brutish speaking method. It also greatly helped that the young knight was able to challenge him to a sparring match whenever the other wasn't busy with his duties. The feeling of his hands and feet coming into contact with Duran filled Kevin with a sense of perverse delight, the likes of which he couldn't exactly explain. The longer the fights went on the more his body seemed to suggest that he liked sparring against the other though, as his groin, which usually was silent, sparked with life. Being hit with the other's wooden practice sword excited his blood to the point where Kevin would bark and growl with feral delight as he worked himself into a frenzy in an effort to subdue the other male. \n\nTaking Duran down would often bring a sensation of elation to Kevin's mind, so much so that he would be left howling with joy as he laid upon the harshly panting human. Digging his nose down into the young knight's throat and then biting down onto the other was something that Duran was often shocked by but he didn't resist the animalistic gesture of affection, despite how weird it seemed. He had after all seen a lot of odd behavior from the beastman when they had been traveling together with Hawkeye, it also helped that since Kevin was a prince Duran found himself silently submitting to whatever the royal heir decided to do to him, this included rutting his hips into his until they both were left moaning and shivering in passion. \n\nKevin thought nothing of his antics as he licked Duran across the face and throat, he simply wanted to show the other who was the more dominant between them following his victory. That's why after he helped the young knight up to his feet he happily brought the two of them over to a local river to bathe before heading about their way, never once thinking to question the strange looks which the brunette gave to him as he splashed around like a puppy.\n\nHe didn't think to try this with Hawkeye when he went to see the other though, as the often reserved thief always smelled of females, thus making Kevin grumble in annoyance and avoid sparring with him. Something about the scent rising up from off of his friend's body always aggravated Kevin, especially so after a night spent together at whatever town he and the others were staying at in which Hawkeye would go and flirt up several young women; that he would often come stumbling into the inn looking like he had gotten into a fight with a cat was something that made Kevin always worry for the other, but it was the sweet, noxious scent of 'woman' covering his flushed body that kept the young prince from saying anything to the other. And yet despite this he was often over the moon at being able to talk at length to the other without really going over anything specific, something that utterly amused Hawkeye as the pair of them went back and forth over random topics.\n\nIt was in coming to speak on the troubles happening within the arid lands that Kevin found himself sympathizing with his friend. Back home within Ferolia things were becoming rather tense between his people and the humans of the surrounding lands, something which made sense following the beastman's attack on Wendel and that small town Kevin often forgot the name of. Worse still was the fact that without the moonstone the beastmen were subject to the whims of the sun and moon as to when they could and could not transform.\n\n\"That might end up being a problem before long,\" Hawkeye stated as the two of them nursed their respective drinks within the bar they were seated at. \"I know for a fact that raising someone's ire towards you will allow them to rationalize striking out when your back is turned.\" Being a thief and all there had been more than a few assassins sent after him and his people, despite the joy that came from the poor being handed the wealth they needed to survive another day. \"You should try and do what you can for your people, as they might find themselves in a spot of trouble before long.\"\n\n\"I don't care.\" Kevin said, making Hawkeye's brows shoot up. \"Beastmen deserve what they get. King deserves what he gets.\" The young prince growled into his drink which warbled within his hand.\n\nHawkeye didn't say anything over said statement, he simply waited and watched his companion up to the point where his hands began to crack the class within his hold. Reaching out, the purple haired thief wrapped his arms around Kevin's waist and then drew him over to where he was seated. Kevin instantly froze. \n\n\"I can't say that I understand your feelings, as I've never had the displeasure of being so angry at someone, but do you really think that things will be okay for your people with that mindset?\" Hawkeye whispered into his friend's ear.\n\nKevin shook his head without thought, his body shivered as he felt the warm, ghostly breaths rush across his ears making them almost twitch.\n\nThe two continued with their conversation until they finally had enough of their drinks. Once done they head out into the evening streets together, Kevin nuzzling up into Hawkeye's chest as the purple haired thief continued to maintain his earlier hold over the beastman's waist. Kevin didn't think about what was going on with the two of them at the moment, he simply went with the moment, and so he didn't think about him and Hawkeye heading to the inn and then into bed with one another. Nothing was said as they shed their clothes and then wrapped each other within the other's hold, after all what they shared in that moment was something which was forced to remain unspoken but was as strong as crystal. \n\nKevin didn't quite understand what this something was after he woke up sticky and completely satisfied, but he couldn't deny that when he left Hawkeye following helping the other take down a group of monsters advancing on the town they had slept at, he was missing a vital element within his life. Sure Karl helped to fill the void most of the time, but what he had shared with Hawkeye was something that the young prince needed. This is why, as the rest of the beastmen were dealing with an encroaching group of humans within the forest surrounding their kingdom he was plotting a way to share said moment with Duran. \n\n- - - - - - -\n\nArt: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/lollydoom/",
