With such a tremendous labor force of Thralls at their disposal, the Ladies of the Chancel spared no effort in frequent beautification projects to decorate the city of stone with all manner of motifs, from fantastical fountains and erotic edifices to entire gardens of splendid stone statues that captured the likeness of great ladies and fantastic beasts alike in stunning detail.[/i]\n\n[i]As one of the few Thrall labors both talented and trusted enough to work with magic, Korvo slaved away tirelessly to transmute the city's abundant stone reserves into whatever designs his ladies bid of him. And while the sinstone deposit the Chancel was built upon was used for the vast majority of these projects, he would occasionally be employed to beautify statues won in trade or conquest from foreign lands. This often consisted of 'correcting' the heretical masculine visages of deific depictions, as the Chancel doctrine only recognized feminine depictions of Jizzral's pantheon.[/i]\n\n[i]It was during one such endeavor that Korvo discovered a secret compartment within a statue of Abraham - containing a strange jewel cast in writhing tendrils.
