But such formalities are unnecessary - he's more than happy to be called Professor Roux. Despite his extremely monstrous appearance and the many writhing maws that adorn his body, Roux has maintained an unusual sense of decorum and grace throughout his bestial corruption. He has his reputation as a gentleman to uphold, after all. In truth, the gnoll has long suffered the effects of various forms of corruption throughout his many decades traveling Jizzral, and has developed many methods to cope with such changes without losing himself to their embrace.\n\nHis lifelong research into the separation between man and monster positioned him as the foremost authority on the beast plague's particular brand of corruption when the outbreak shook the very foundations of the Chancel. Now he leads the Academy's research teams in searching to better understand the nature of the plague, though he does require the occasional reminder from his colleagues that they ultimately hope to cure and reverse its effects at some point.\n\nThough he himself has been warped bodily by the plague, Roux has managed to isolate this particular strain to make it non-communicable, posing no risk of infecting his fellow researchers or the fresh hunters that pass through their halls. That said, the insatiable lust that the plague emboldens does occasionally send him into horny fits where he simply needs to breed for a few hours before regaining his senses. That he can deal with just fine. What really bugs him is how tiny all the Academy's books are compared to his ever-swelling bulk.
