OBITUARIES

Let's take a moment to remember our dearly departed, who have passed on from this world and will be missed eternally by us all.

This week, there was only one citizen of Neon City who passed away. Her name was Mavis Ursana, and she passed peacefully in her bed at the ripe old age of 167 years. She was the oldest member of the Ursana family, and had the pleasure of meeting her great-grandchildren before she finally passed.

Her relatives all agree that she was a very kind woman, a real treasure to the family. They all regret that she will now be absent from family gatherings, and that she will no longer be able to tell her stories. She was famous among the Ursana family for the many tales of older generations that she would share. According to the twelve year old Jennifer Ursana, the last story she got to tell before passing was about a man named Aysin, who lived many centuries ago and supposedly was the originator of the Ursana family line. As the story goes, he was born human, but later transformed into a bear like the rest of the family, and took part in the founding of Neon City. While this makes for a lovely story, there is no historical confirmation that it can be accurate - and of course, the inclusion of humans means that this can only be a fairy tale, at best based off of real life happenings.

However fantastic her stories may be, Mavis was well loved by her family, and cherished by members of the community who were close to the Ursanas. She will be missed by many, both within her family and without.
