Why? Because I made so many changes and added so many new things.
I've been working on a very large H parody of Pokemon over the past 5 years. You can download the playable demo and level editor for the game. All of the game's programming is complete. But I still have to make more levels and graphics. So far, Pallet, Viridian, Pewter, Cerulean, and Vermillion city are complete. Feel free to play around with the editor and make your own pokemon game. I'll keep working on my version, but there's no reason you can't have fun and make your own. This is my most ambitious project. It was the main reason I created my Universal Level Editor for Flash. It was originally inspired by a picture that NeoNeko drew.

I added a LOT more than just Vermillion city. In fact, I've added and changed so many things that the old saved games won't work with this version. But that's okay, because MANY new scenes have been added to previous areas in the game. Just outside of Pallet town, Viridian city has had a lot of new scenes, characters, and places added to it. Tons of new pokemorph images have been added to the battles. New backgrounds and attack animations have been added. There are many new cutscene pictures. And Misty's character and motivations got a big overhaul. The Viridian forest has new scenes. Pewter city also got an update. There's a completely new Rock Gang hideout to explore. Oh, and Vermillion city is PACKED with awesomeness. On the technical side, there have also been a lot of improvements. The game runs faster. I added new key-setting menus. The "clipboard" save system is less confusing. Some battle animations have been added. And the level editor has new options, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
What's next?
There are a lot of new pokemon I still need to add to the game. Over the past few years I've received an astounding amount of custom artwork from people on the Legend of Krystal forums. But this will take a lot of work because I will have to completely rethink the gameplay balance and pokemon placement when I add them.
I have plans to add a fairly detailed side-story for Porygon. But in the meantime, you're able to catch her just like any other pokemon in this version of the game.
But first... I think I'll take a break. There are other projects to work on.
