They could not hope to succeed though as no mortal weapon could ever hope to harm Aku, only one thing had that power; The Magic Sword wielded by an immortal Samurai who had adopted the name, Jack. This man was a warrior beyond compare, his skill in battle being honed over several years and providing an endless worry for Aku as the wielder of the only thing in existence that could ultimately kill him, but Aku was cunning and always able to slip away from the Samurai when they did meet, or when Aku's arrogance got him into trouble. This back and forth struggle between the two of them had gone on for fifty years now with no victor able to emerge victorious over the other, and the world, continued to suffer in that time.\n\nVillages would be raided by lawless bandits the world over and the Samurai was becoming more and more scarce as time went on, the battle weighing heavily on his soul and driving him to his breaking point. He wanted to quit, give into despair but whenever he saw those in need, the incorruptible part of his soul would drive him to aide though he couldn't save all those he tried to. Far from this world of pain and suffering, another was receiving visions of it's plight, his mind wracked with the sights of the massacres of the people being slaughtered, the occasional scream of a soul in pain ringing throughout his being as he witnessed it all. His fur matted with sweat as he tried to find rest from these nightmarish visions, twisting and turning in his coffin which rattled and shook a little from the constant motion of it's occupant; the vampire Kira Collie.\n\nKira stood at six feet tall and weighed one hundred seventy pounds. His fur was jet black with gray strewn about his from his wrists and hands to his belly, face and underside of his fluffy tail. Not overly fluffed for those of you thinking he's “that” kind of vampire, he's as straight as an arrow and more than capable of handling himself in a fight, almost thrives for them actually. His eyes were akin to a burning ember that was clinging to life, drawing in whatever oxygen it could to stop itself from going out, which was a really cool feature in his book. Kira belonging to an ancient house of vampires that held great authority in his world, Kira himself recently taking control of his families estate after banishing his rather close minded and controlling parents to another dimension leaving himself and his sister Narissa to their own devices.\n\nNow in his dreams, Kira was writhing from what he was currently seeing; a village being decimated by automaton's that resembled large beetles but with slashing scythes for forelegs and fierce horns atop their heads. Kira could see the burning flames and the billowing smoke rising from the village that had been set in a hilly area with large trees surrounding it, he could hear the cries of the people calling for mercy and a savior to come to them. Kira watched them being torn apart as those foolish enough to try and withstand them were met with a swift end, Kira's vision changed to the outskirts of the village suddenly, seeing a trio of strange creatures running for their lives. Kira had never seen anything quite like them before as there was clearly a mother and her children, one of them running alongside her and the other wrapped in a blanket and tucked under her mothers arm.\n\nThe mother was taller than the others but not by much, Kira surmised her to be no more than five foot three inches tall with the older child being no greater than five foot one. Their clothes were terribly kept, no more than rags across their bodies which made his heart ache for them, no mother should have to wrap their children as such. They had strange features, two large antenna raised from their heads but not from their foreheads as he would expect, just jutting right from the crown. Each of them had long flowing white hair and fur that was a teal color, the mother being a lighter tone and the daughter darker. They had a smaller tail behind them and large ears that were a mixture of elf like and canine, they clearly didn't belong on this world and Kira feared the worst for them as the monstrous army drew nearer to them. His teeth grit in his sleep as he watched them being surrounded, the mother shielding her daughter when her antenna lit up and symbols began to show between them; “Eye...Heart...U.” The symbols spelled out her final words; “I love you.”\n\nKira was writhing as he watched them, he wanted to save them from their fate which was looking all the more grim until a strange sound was heard and the family looked on towards it. Kira's visions shifted to a motorcycle barreling towards the three, it's rider blasting away their assailants before leaping from the vehicle with a three pronged, electrified staff to rent his foes into pieces. The family watching on with the mother protecting her children as they were saved from their undeserved fate by this stranger who the older child made words saying; “Jack?” Kira didn't know who that was but he was thankful someone had saved them for the time being, the rider finished his duty and left with the child forming more words; “Thank you!” Kira waking from his slumber and gasping for breath as this was the most intense dream he'd had for quite some time, his eyes open wide as he thought of the three he'd just seen; “That is no place for them.”\n\nKira then rose from his coffin, which he rarely slept in but there was something oddly satisfying about sleeping in one given his heritage, though when he was younger and did so, there was the fear of being staked by a random villager. The collie walking from the dungeon where it was kept up into the main portion of his home where he began to pace and think of a way to help those three. His thoughts were constantly flashing back to the image of them being surrounded, the mother trying desperately to save her children, if not for that rider they would have been slain. Kira grit his teeth at that notion, he couldn't allow them to suffer another close call like that, and he knew it was no dream, it had been far too vivid for that. He knew those creatures were out there somewhere in the infinite cosmos, the question was...how was he going to locate them?\n\nKira could clearly make out the family, the mother was young, or at least she looked like it. Narissa going over to her brother and making him look at her, staring into his eyes with a deep concern and casting a simple relaxing spell on him; “I do NOT like being ignored dear brother, I can tell when something's upsetting you and if I can help you through it I will. But you need to relax and tell me what's going through that head of yours!” She said in a condescending way but it also had concern, she had to use that approach to get through to him which was very rare as he was the head of the household and thus her master, but even still she had to play the voice of reason from time to time.\n\nKira taking a deep breath from her spell and sighing a bit; “Sorry sis...thank you.” He said after calming his frayed nerves and the two of them sitting down so he could explain what he'd seen and what he wished to do about it. “I see...more world traveling sexual conquests eh big bro?” She said in a teasing jest making him grumble; “Sex is NOT my driving factor here...” Narissa snickering a bit; “Driving...” She said making a lewd play on his words making him look at her intently; “I genuinely wish to help them, they deserve my help. When he would take a break, he would try and scry their location, feeling them out and trying to make sure they were safe since they were saved the first time. Kira being unable to do so and sending him into a more worrisome state, what if they had been killed? Or someone had taken them and wasn't treating them properly? His mind began to rush with the dread of not being able to save them and driving him to rush down to Narissa's dungeon and attempting to send himself to their world and find them there. Narissa having no part of that and stopping him in his tracks; “And where do you think YOU'RE going!?” She shouted at him making him grit his teeth; “I cannot sense them! What if they are in danger!?” Narissa growing annoyed at his uncharacteristic fears and walking right over to him and slapping him.\n\n“Of COURSE they are! They live under a maniacal tyrant who is destroying the world they live on right!? And if YOU go there and cause trouble, you might gain his ire! It's a foe you have no idea how to fight, if you could harm it at all! Calm down and use your head!” Narissa said quite sternly making Kira look at her and rub his face; “Sorry sis...you're right.” He said as he caught his breath and straightened up, Narissa sighing and pulling him into a hug; “Don't be so stupid big brother...besides, I've already found the spell we need.” Kira gasping at that as he broke her hug and looked at her; “You have?! When!? How!?” Narissa getting a little smug with him as she smiled gleefully; “Just now, I was actually on my way upstairs to fetch you. And I found it by not looking in the obvious places, I buried into Mom and Dads old research lab, found a LOT of good stuff in there.” She said with a devious smirk making Kira gulp softly; “Mom and Dads...” Neither of them were allowed in that area, it was said to hold the most powerful spells and arcana their family had amassed over the years; “And it will work?” He asked focusing on his task at hand, he'd deal with whatever Narissa found later.\n\n“I think so, it'll take some time to prepare, so go get some sleep while I tend to that okay?” Kira giving a little yawn as he did need that; “Okay, wake me when it's ready.” He said as he went up to his room to rest and prepare for his guests arrival as Narissa prepared the spell, focusing her magical energies into a single point and drawing a circle that would act as the gateway for the family. It only took her three hours to prepare the spell, well two technically but she wanted Kira to rest more than he would have otherwise. Narissa calling to him mentally that it was done which roused him from his slumber, Kira waking with a yawn and stretch before getting himself dressed and heading down into the dungeon where a glowing vortex of energy awaited him; “This is it huh?” He asked as he drew closer to it, Narissa having her hands in an intricate pattern and pointed at the portal; “Yup...you wanna hurry this up? I know I make it look easy but holding this thing together is quite difficult.” She grunted as it was taking everything she had to maintain such a long distance tunnel.\n\nKira nodding as he knew what to do, he closed his eyes and formed his own symbols with his fingers and began to concentrate on the family. He saw them in his minds eye, connecting the bridge between their worlds until the link was fully established, Kira furrowing his brow as he began to sweat as he looked over the planet in search of the family, he grunted when he found them as both of them focused their wills together and summoned them to their world. The portal shook and a light flashed in the dungeon as Narissa and Kira released their spell and looked where the portal once was, seeing the shape of two people standing and one holding something in its arms, Kira taking a step forward as the light faded around them and the family of aliens stood before them. The Mother's eyes caught the two strangers and she immediately drew her other child behind her while shielding the other in her arms as Kira takes another step towards them, overjoyed that the spell worked as Narissa took a knee and caught her breath from the strain of the spell.\n\n“Can you understand me?” Kira asked them as he stopped a few steps from them, the mother protecting her children, unsure of what was going on and who these new people were. “Please, you are safe here. No dirt, no rags, only the finest for you all.” The mother standing up a little more and looking at Kira then Narissa but doesn't nod towards him, Kira stands his ground and speaks again; “I'll prepare a room for you all, you may rest here tonight. At least do that, I would hate to send you back to that world of ruin and despair.” That caught the mothers attention as a planet appeared in her antenna with a question mark.\n“Oh yes, I brought you here. You're in another world than the one you know, away from Aku and all the hardship you've gone through.” The mother softened at that as she gripped her daughters hand, looking at Kira and nodding to him as a bed flashed in her antenna. “Perfect! If you'll follow me please.” Kira happy that they had accepted though he still saw hesitation in the mothers eyes, she wasn't going to pass up such an opportunity if this was the real deal. Kira lead them all upstairs and the house was much more than they were expecting, Kira could tell as their eyes went wide at the splendid décor as he lead them to a spare room that was close to his own, Kira letting them pass as the three were in awe of this place, the bed able to accommodate all of them with ease and looking more plush and comfy than anything even the mother had experienced before having children. “I hope you will all rest well.” Kira said as he left them alone, closing the door but leaving a crack in the opening to show they weren't trapped.\n\nThe mother setting on the bed with her daughters and Hali smiling ear to ear as she sank into the bed, her antenna showing she loved the feeling of it all making the mother smile down at her.
