However, like a large majority of thirteen-year-olds, she found most things annoying.\n\n\t“Are you busy?” Lily asked shakily. \n\n\tAiden noticed her breath was slightly faster than usual. Deeper, too. Almost like she’d just climbed a flight of stairs by skipping every other step. Briefly, he glanced at the TV, momentarily considering telling her to go away so he could return to the game he’d been intently focused on for the last few hours; he was close to finally getting past a part he’d been stuck on for awhile. But, she seemed like she needed something, and he decided otherwise. \n\n\t“Nah, I should take a break, honestly. You alright?” He returned, taking off his headphones and turning back towards her.\n\n\t“Yeah… D-do you want to watch a movie?” Lily took a small step into his room. She almost seemed nervous.\n\n\t“I mean… sure, haha.” Aiden raised an eyebrow at her. She was definitely acting a little off. He figured maybe she was stressed about school and was looking to distract herself. She had a tendency to worry herself sick about things like that; she was an overachiever and often stressed about her grades despite a vigilant dedication to studying. Still… she didn’t usually act like this. Even with an impending test looming over her.\n\n\t“You, uh… wanna watch anything specific?” he followed up, a small of uncertainty in his voice. \n\n\tHe stood up and pulled his “movie laptop”, as he called it, off of the desk. It contained a few hundred gigabytes of films from a wide assortment of genres and was often his staple to curb his occasional bouts of insomnia. Lily shook her head and stepped fully into his room, closing Aiden’s door behind her. He found this odd, too. Aiden then turned and looked down at his younger sister, waiting for a response; his five ten frame towering over her respective four eleven.\n\n\t“No… Well, uhhaa…” The pause between her request had a noticeably airy quality to it, “…Maybe something funny?” Lily requested softly, moving meekly towards him with a flustered, nervous expression. Aiden cocked his eyebrow at her.\n\n\t“Heh. Ok, strange child. I got you.” He chuckled and patted the side of his bed, inviting her to hop up and get comfy. She obliged and climbed up onto the queen mattress he often bragged about, immediately wrapping herself in his large, puffy duvet. Only her bushy tail, a testament to both her fox and husky genes in its color as well as volume, stuck out from underneath. Aiden watched this with an entertained smirk on his face, thinking about what he could say after he picked something to watch to effectively make fun of her. He made a selection and opened the file, then settled the laptop down on the bed next to his sister before doing the same himself. \n\n\t“Ya know, if I didn’t know any better I’d say you were…” His words were cut off as the young girl next to him wrapped her arms around him tightly, an embrace he wasn’t use to coming from her. Aiden immediately noticed how distinctly warm she was.\n\n\t“God, Lil” he complained, “You’re like a fucking oven.” Instinctively, he went pull her arms off of him before he noticed that she was doing what he thought was crying. He felt a small pang of guilt and put his lanky arm around her in a silent understanding. His hand softly rubbed her shoulder, and she pulled her body closer to his, placing a leg over him in a complete embrace. He turned his attention away from the laptop. He was concerned.\n\n\t“Lil. Hey.” He said, shaking her lightly. “What’s the matter?” \n\n\tShe didn’t respond and only clutched him tighter, breathing deeply into his side. He grew even more concerned, and watched his sister closely. Slowly, he realized what he thought were soft sobs were actually deep breaths, and that he felt no tears on his side where her face was. It was then that he noticed her odd scent, much different from the one he was used to, and that she was, in fact, not crying at all. He also, at that same moment, realized that her tiny hips had begun gently moving against him, with a subtle, gentle desperation. He then thought back to what he had said earlier about how warm she was. \n \n\tIt suddenly dawned on Aiden why his little sister had been acting so strange.\n\n\tLily was going through her first heat.\n\n\tAiden laid still, soaking in the contrasting ambience of sound effects coming from the laptop in front of him, and the soft gasps coming from beside him.
