You see Pir’Oth IX’s family, in my mind, is most likely made up of great great descendants since he is rumored to be older than the time the Nocturnus Clan got sucked into the Argus Cage. Mostly of great great granddaughters. This is gonna sound dark, but his personality makes me think he would do this, and this was a dark game to begin with…. But I believe that anytime a male family member would be born Pir’Oth would have no problem getting rid of them since he would see them as a future threat. It’s no secret that if you’re in his family line you’re bound to inherit some of his powers, and he would probably fear that if a male family member developed these powers he’d probably go for the throne as the proper heir. So with that logic I can see him preserving only the female family members since in his view they would have no rights to being head of the clan. So that consists of Alpha having many older female cousins in the family, all of them blessed with some of Pir’Orth’s powers. \n\nAquila, the cousin closest to Alpha in age and character, is no exception. Aquila was born to a pair of parents she cannot remember, and like her cousin was raised by a plethora of nannies and robots. Because their age gap was so close the two would often play together whenever they could and became inseparable for a short time. The thing that separated them in the end? Conflicting ideals.
