Unable to decide which of her daughters’ deserved the honor to rule since they were both of equal age she left it for them to decide, and so the kingdom was divided in half so each sister may rule an equal portion. But that was never good enough for either queen, so eventually after the first five years of their rule as separate kingdoms the two halves went to war.
