The gist of it was that when Kaden sent Ratchet to the Solana galaxy during Tachyon’s assault on Fastoon his shuttle didn’t make it all the way and instead crash landed in Slag’s territory (so either in the Ublik Passage or Ardolis). But instead of killing the then baby Ratchet Slag instead decided to take Ratchet in and raise him as his own out of spite for Tachyon banishing him and the rest of the pirates to Praxus seven years beforehand. Ratchet then grows up to be one of the fiercest pirates in the galaxy, even moreso than Slag himself. \n\nBut since I never planned on doing anything with the AU I decided to give the backstory to Boann. Boann, who lived her whole life knowing only pirating, is just as ruthless and selfish as the rest of Slag’s crew. Though also because of her upbringing she has a fierce loyalty to the pirate armada and will always put their best interest as her top priority. She’s also very clever and mechanically gifted, though her speciality is in robotics since she mostly repairs damaged crewmen after they return from either battle or a raid. And, just like the rest of her crew, she has a weakness for grog. She will often be found downing half a tankard and engaging in the usual pirate mischief (obnoxiously singing chanties, bar fights, talking gossip, etc.) in the bar on Ardolis after a long day’s work.\n\nOverall I have to admit I’m very happy with the design for everything! I got her colors from an old Lucca son I’m not using anymore (RIP Angelo) and her clothes are a mix of designs from two separate pirate costumes I found on google as well as throwing some elements from the space pirates in. I decided not to give her a wrench since that’s been overdone to death and decided to give her weapons you usually see the low level enemy pirates are carrying. I also decided to give her the shield you see them carrying too since she is rather small and needs to be more defensive than offensive. She also has a standard blaster but since everybody knows what a combustor looks like I don’t think I need to draw that a reference.
