But just before it reached him, it died out, blowing past them as nothing more than a gentle breeze. “Wh-What?!”\nHe smirks and laughs, throwing his head back, his beak opening as far as it would stretch, “our prey are mages, you don’t think we have a way to cancel your little spells?!” The gryphon holds up his right arm, a giant golden bracelet adorning it, set with a bright red gem. With a tap from his claw, a wave washes over them all. At first, it seemed like nothing happened, until Charle and Wendy realized the world was rushing past them, and they were falling.\nThree screams pierced the air, abruptly cut off in different ways. Elfman had rushed to catch the girls, magic not being the source of his insane strength, he could get them easily enough without dropping or hurting them. He smirks and laughs, throwing his head back, his beak opening as far as it would stretch, “our prey are mages, you don’t think we have a way to cancel your little spells?!” The gryphon holds up his right arm, a giant golden bracelet adorning it, set with a bright red gem.  With a tap from his claw, a wave washes over them all.  At first, it seemed like nothing happened, until Charle and Wendy realized the world was rushing past them, and they were falling.
Three screams pierced the air, abruptly cut off in different ways.  Elfman had rushed to catch the girls, magic not being the source of his insane strength, he could get them easily enough without dropping or hurting them.  The white feline was just in time to witness a truly horrifying sight, just how efficient these gryphons could be.

He laughed as he grabbed Levy's kicking legs in his talons, scratching them up in the process.  "Why don't you just enjoy the show?
