The gryphon had started flying again, which Charle could feel from inside his stomach, until he stopped, lurching his acids in a wave over her magical shield.  Though his voice was muffled, she could distinctly make out what the gryphon was saying.  “Ah, another exceed.  Cute toy you have there.”

Outside of the stomach, two exceed were confronting the creature, one was black, holding a curved red sword.  The other was Happy, who spoke.  “What have you done with Charle?!”

“Charle? I assure you I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he played off, and then licked his lips with an evil smirk.  “Unless she’s a white exceed with a pink ribbon on her tail…which…hold on.”  To the cats’ surprise, he started hacking violently, until he produced the cloth Charle wore on her tail, which came off in the process of her being swallowed and was lodged in the bird’s throat.  Originally, he was going to hack it out when he landed, but this was more poetic in his mind.

Happy’s face contorted into pure rage, worse than his outburst in Edolas, “WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!”

“Nothing much, she was delicious though, I must say.  And while I don’t normally do males, I’m sure she could use the company.”  The gryphon laughed again, but then stopped short.  “What the-?!”

He didn’t have any time to react, Lily had grown to his full size, along with his sword, and before the gryphon could spit out another word, he sliced the gryphon clean in half through the chest, sending blood flying all over the forest below.  The exceed caught the lower half, allowing the other to plummet to the ground, where it landed with a sickening thud, and a splat of blood.  “Charle, are you still alive?!”

His stomach was still intact for the most part, but Charle knew her captor was dead, and her rescue was waiting.  She pounded upward, trying to slash through the elastic stomach, but her efforts didn’t yield any results.  Instead, she screamed as loudly as she could, “I’M HERE!! I’M STILL ALIVE, GET ME OUT!!!”

Lily sighed with relief and positioned his sword over the opening, “I see the stomach, I’ll give you a second to back up before I cut it open!” She was already as far back against the wall of flesh as she could get before the order went out.

“I’m ready, do it!” Without hesitation, the black cut cut through the beast’s stomach, allowing the contents to pour out, including one terrified, naked, but relieved Charle.  Happy barreled straight into her and hugged her as tightly as he could, without suffocating her.

“CHARLE!!!” She smiled and pressed against her savior, letting her wings fade so she could rest her magic power.  Happy started crying, and carried Charle back to the guild hall, followed by Lily.  Charle fell asleep along the way, exhausted from her ordeal.  The cats floated in silently, trying not to wake the others since they fell asleep after their usual drunken party.  “I’ll take her upstairs so she can rest…can I get some-?”

Lily didn’t let Happy finish his sentence, holding up a paw, “I’ll make sure you’re left alone.”  The blue cat softly smiled to his friend and flew up the stairs and into the room, setting Charle on the bed and then locking the door behind him.  He landed, putting his wings away, and walked over next to the bed, jumping up and sitting next to Charle, watching as she snored softly.

A couple of hours passed, until moonlight was streaming in through the window, and casting over the white cat, tucked into the bed under the covers by Happy.  She finally moaned softly and opened her eyes, slightly startling Happy, but he quickly regained his composure, and flashed her a big smile, hoping it would help her calm down.  “Happy…where are we…?”

The blue cat thought for a moment before simply replying, “you’re home.”  She smiled back at him, sitting up and taking notice that her fur felt a lot cleaner than it had only a little while ago.  Taking a sniff at the fur on her arm, she realized it wasn’t her normal shampoo of lavender.  Rather, it smelled more like citrus.

“You…washed me…?”

Happy blushed, though it was hard to distinguish under his fur, but the swishing of his tail spoke volumes.  “I was just gonna let you sleep…but…I wanted to help you get through this, and the first thing I think you needed was a bath.  I…um…tried not to look…but…that was hard…especially since I was trying not to wake you…” An awkward silence followed that, until Charle finally broke it with a giggle.

“Thank you Happy…I’m glad you did it…” Happy grinned again and then reached into his knapsack, confusing the female.

“I know this may not be good timing…but…well…I’ve throught a lot about this…and…even though we haven’t technically been going out…I love you Charle…I’ve told you that a lot.”  Charle nodded slowly, trying to figure out where the blue cat was going with this.  Then he pulled out two beautiful silver bands, glittering in the moonlight, both inlaid with sapphires so that they looked like large rings.  “Will you…marry me Charle?”

Her eyes widened into large amber saucers, and she could only stare at Happy, her mouth slightly agape.  “M-Marry…that’s…that’s so sudden Happy…but…” She collected her thoughts and then threw her arms around him, “yes! I want to be yours!” Charle felt his soft paws on her cheeks, drawing her to his lips, which she pressed to deeply, desperately.  A small part of her mind was afraid of what would happen to her tomorrow, and she wanted to make sure she did everything she could tonight to express her love.  Their rough tongues danced around one another, and their tails twisted with each other as Happy lightly pushed her back onto the bed and pulled down the covers, throwing his knapsack over the side.

“Ch-Charle, wait, before we…I want to show you how these work.”  The girl nodded, regaining control of her sudden lust, and feeling Happy’s tail unwind from her’s.  He held his tail out and slipped the ring over it.  When it was near the base of his slender tail, he let go, and it magically floated for a moment before shrinking to a perfect size so it wouldn’t slip off, but not so tight as to break his tail.  “This blacksmith Natsu and the others know made these for me.”  He then repeated the process on her tail, to which she responded by shivering slightly when she felt the cold metal.  “They’re removable, but only when we want them to come off.”

\tThe gryphon smiled even wider, even though her screams were slightly muffled, they were extremely loud, and he could almost feel as her flesh was being transformed into nutrition for him.  He could envision the scene inside his stomach, licking his lips.  First, her fur would be melted into nothing, leaving her naked in every sense of the word.  Her tail, because it was thin, would most likely be the first to go, the flesh falling off the bone, as the other parts of her body started developing holes.
