*This is where the Sonic Adventure/Rush story mode come into play.  Both sides WILL be different.  Trying to combine the two result in a confrontation so big it'll jumble the upcoming chapters.  If any questions arise about any mistakes, or issues with the characters involved, please read the Preface on Chapter 1.*

Chapter 9 - Path to the Answer

	After gaining the mysterious power to control time, Klonoa began to travel to what he believes to be his final destination.  But the dream traveler can't help but winder as he tries to put all of the pieces together.  The strange weather that has spread throughout Lunatea for a mere distraction.  The transforming robots that keeps blocking his way.  The attack that his friend Cream has suffered and the robots that looks like her friends.  Along with the fire and ice persuers.  ~The fire one had the intent to kill, but not the ice one.~ he thought.  ~It's as if he has become leinent even though he had no idea what happened. And now the world is full of loops and intense springs and mechinal animals~  His thinking was altered as he glanced over his shoulder to find three flying robots closing in on him. ~Except those!~ Klonoa shouted as he sarts to run away from them.  While he was in persuit, he realized that he couldn't find any Moos anywhere.  But along his search he noticed a few of those strange wheel platforms placed on the ground.  

     The three robots began to drop fire bombs nearly hitting their target.  The wind warrior took the risk and headed torwards the mechinacal platforms.  With the wheels at the base and the belt vibrating in front of it his guess was to jump on the belt like the springs.  The moment he place both feet down upon the belt the tremendous force propelled the long eared cat in the another direction at incredible speed.  ~wwwhhhaaAAaaAAaaaAAahhHHHhhHHHhh!!!~ the wind warrior screamed as tries his hardest to keep up with the speed as his feet touched the ground.

     The force was ovwhelming as Klonoa quickly fell over and was suddenly rolled into a ball.  Unbeknownced to him that the three flying robots were ahead of him along with a barricade of blue steel rounded robots as they all fired thier laser guns at him.  Losing complete control of his body, the rolling hero began to swerve from side to side dodging every fire missle and laser shot.  Klonoa was starting to lose momentum until he came upon another speedy platform that was placed located in the direction of the grounded robots.  The additional speed boost turned the wind warrior into a wrecking ball striking through all of the robots and hurling then into the air colliding with the hovering metallic persuers.

     Finally he came to a complete stop sitting on the ground even more dazed than before.  ~wwhhaaa...wwwhhhhaa...juss...happpen....nnyyaaa~  As much as he would like to rest once more, the dizzy cat shook off the spell and slowly stood back on his feet.  Slowly regaining his senses, the dream traveler can hear the continuous sounds of water crashing as he wobbles towards the source.  As he continued onward, the confused warrior thought that he was still delusional as he notice the trees in the far off distance start to dissappear and reappear when suddenly a splash of water rushed to his face fully snapping him out of it.  Klonoa finally discovered that he is standing next to the edge of a long waterfall.  As he looked across the way, he can still see the trees fading in and out of existance.

     "Manyu?" ~What's going on over there?~ the puzzled feline wondered.  Looking at the waterfall he noticed how fast the water was going as well as the long fall.  Exploring the area more, he can only see another speed boosting platform that was aim directly at the rushing rapids. The long eared cat thought to himself ~I can't get on that. I'll sink for sure...unless...~  Klonoa then rushed behind the platform with a running start distance between it.  He readies his ring as he takes off running towards the device starting his move ~CHAOS....~ the moment he stepped on the speeding platform the daring feline shouted ~...CONTROL!~

     While dashing towards the water's edge everything began to down again as he can see the spirit of the guardian's power follow him.  Before he knew full well if he idea worked, Klonoa was already a third of the way across the waterfall.  Naturally placing one foot in front of the other, the shocked and speedy traveler looked down to see himself actually running on top of the water like giant soft Moo.  But the moment he noticed the flying orb beginning to fade he focused on getting to the other side.  With the combined speed of the platform and everthing slowing down, Klonoa jumped the remaining quarter of the way just before his time altering power has faded completely.  With the successful landing, he turned around to find a huge splash in the middle of the waterfall after he jumped.  ~Wow...Awesome!~ Klonoa said with a joyful smile on his face.

     Suddenly he can hear a strange noise behind him.  He turned around to discover that the trees were not the only thing that were fading in and out but rather the entire area.  The curious dream traveler looked at the ground to see a strange ripple between the forest and a long and dry rocky area.  It was as if he as in the middle of a desert, or a ruined landscape.  As he look further ahead, he can only see two things.  Closest is a dark and active city where the smoke came from and further along is a tree along the darkly sunset horizion.  As he examined the tree, he realized that it was exactly the same size at the fading trees beside him.  ~That tree...It's...Lunatea.~  The perplexed warrior realized that the tree in the distance is the home of the High Priestess.  But the moment he looked at the city, he became fully focused and aware what has happened.  

     ~Nothing seems to be wrong with the city.  So that means the...what?!~ The throughtful feline lost his concentration to see a dark cloud starting to form above the city.  ~That's no ordinary dark cloud.  I've seen this before.  But it can't be.  Not again.~  Fearing the worst, he knew that something horrible will happen between the two worlds and without delay and crossed the fading forest and into the disolated ground heading torawds the city.  ~Don't worry guys, I'm coming...I only hope I'm not too late.~ Klonoa said to himself as he makes his way towards the dark city ahead.
