This will be the exact battle from both sides of the story. The conclusion of the fight will be on the respective split chapters in order to continue on with their storyline. Chapter 6 - A Misleading Battle The two atypical felines stood at the center between their friends and the flat rocky cliff. Each one with different goals and different conflicts towards one another. Although this is first time they've met, they feel as if they've seen their opponent somewhere before. But before they can think that moment through, Frost has decided to make the first move. He quickly aimed his sweeper and shot a bomb at the long eared foe. Klonoa jumped over the explosive and shot his wind bullet to the vacuum user. Knowing that his plan worked with Leorina, he used is sweeper to absorb the bullet inside to render the wind warrior useless. Successful, the blue fire cat was slowly being dragged to his opponent. //What? It's dragging me in!// Frost quickly thinks. //Well he's not going to take this from me!// The mobian then said "~Fine, take it back!~" The time control feline pressed the button and turned himself a red color. //~He's up to something.~// The dream traveler though as he braces for a strange return of his power. With a blink of an eye Frostcat returned the blue bullet lightning fast that it pulled the red coat challenger's arm dragging him back. Still being able to match the speed of his mentor for a couple of seconds, he took the opportunity and leaped forward swinging the back end of the sweeper down upon him. The nimble cat suddenly heard a faint reply. ~Thanks!~ His opponent grinned as he swung his pulled arm back around a lobbed something match Frost's speed. It was one of the few special red bombs that had a green cogwheel with two connected warped arrows pointing to opposite sides. "~A TIME BOMB?!~" the mobian shouted. Helpless of the fact that the rare bombs can track down anyone that distorts time that very moment. Hoping to use it one day against the black and red hedgehog, it went toward him instead and exploded. The mobian was blown back a good distance towards the cliff, landing on his feet in a crouched position, but he is emitting a blue glow around him. Even though he was protected by the fiery explosion, the impact knocked the wind out of him. //How did he do that!// the confused warrior trying to contemplate while he trying to recover his breath. He then sees the windy bunny thing heading towards him as he times his next move. //That bullet must have taken one of my items before I shot it back out// he assumed. The ice warrior then saw his enemy holding back his arm again. ~"WHIRLWIND...~" Frost quickly grinned back and finished by thinking //Time to have some fun!// Before Klonoa could finish his attack the icy foe quickly skated out of his sight leaving a trail of ice to his right. ~"TORNA...huh?~ //~Where...~// and before he started to follow the trail he was tripped under his feet as the mobian skated beside him. "~HA!~" his opponent shouted out as he continues to gloat a bit "~Didn't expect that huh?~" The butt hurt dream traveler stood up and realized that his enemy didn't have his vacuum on him anymore. Doing his daily TV show fighting poses he said "Get ready!" as he skates towards the tripped foe. Klonoa tried to anticipate his moves. At first it looked like he was making a beeline to him when suddenly he was swaying from side to side. Frost has seen some of the alpine techniques in his years in school and use that to throw the long eared foe off. The wind warrior got ready until the blue fire feline did a front flip over him. Quickly knowing he'll attack from behind, Klonoa shot his wind bullet the moment he landed. Unfortunately when he landed he stayed crouched ducking under the bullet. The moment it came back the ice warrior rose up and delivered a punch to his stomach. He then felt a painful strike under his chin as he was kicked back the equal distance as the bomb did on his opponent. He slid a few extra feet when he landed back first on the icy trial his enemy left behind. Slightly shaken, he rose his he head up to see the ice cat run towards him. But something was different about him. His upper torso has been slightly twisted to the opponent's left. //Hope you enjoy this one Blaze// Frost thought as he was ready to try one of her techniques without using any weapons. The instant he jumped sideways and started to spin glowing blue Klonoa knew it was the same attack Blaze did. Only this time it will be an ice kick. The icy feline knew he might have seen that before, so he delivered the frozen kick to the ground a few feet short creating a thick seven foot wide ice wall that rose around five feet. Seeing that it's too high to jump over, the dream traveler must choose either the left side or the right. If he made the right choice he can easily get the jump on his frozen adversary but if not, he well be there making the next attack. Frostcat has the advantage in the situation. Even though their clothing are darkly colored, the only thing that can be seen through is the golden circle on the whirlwind rival's hat. All he has to do is follow that and the fight is his. Another plus is that his opponent is on the side of his friends so they can't see the enemy either. He sees the golden circle move to the left. He then put his back against the wall and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The blue flame feline can see the blue visor of the hat slowly moving outside the wall. He quickly spun around the wall and delivered a hick kick shouting "~GOT YOU!~" When his foot struck he can only see the hat on top on his foot as it was against the ice wall. Before he noticed what just happened, he heard ~No...~ He looked left to he the windy rival glowing green as he placed his arms down with his ring pointing right at him finishing ~...got YOU!!!~ Being surrounded by his element, Frostcat could have easily pretended to be clumsy and fall to avoid the oncoming attack, but something got to him. Maybe it was the awkward position that he's in with his left foot stuck in the air against the wall. Perhaps it was the fact that his opponent is just as clever as he is. Or maybe, something in the look of his foe without his hat on made him startle. Whatever the case may be, he was suddenly struck be the intense windy blast that knocked him through the ice wall that collapsed and landed on his back into the position they have started before he started to attack. Having shaken the strange feeling he had, the slightly embarrassed feline sprung back up to his feet and was holding his head a bit seeing the long eared foe catching his hat and placing it on his head. //What was that just now?// he thought to himself. //I don't know, but I'm not going to...// //~What happened to him just now?~// Klonoa thinks to himself. //~Did he just...blush? No matter. He's not going to...// Both felines broke concentration as their friends shouted ~"Look out!"~ Before they've realized it, there were blue vortexes surrounding them. Expecting the Moos, something else jumped out in their place. Some violet-red creatures what looked like sea mines with yellow and green eyes. As if it was off a cartoon episode, they seem very angry as they start to circle them back and fourth. //What are these things?// Frost thought as Klonoa thinks slightly the same thing //~Boomies? Now what's going on?~// "~Friends of yours?~" the ice cat asked startling the wind warrior. He quickly answered ~You're kidding! You must have called them here.~ "~Yeah? We'll see about...~" Before he could finish, Frostcat's ears sprung up as he hears highly pitched beeping from on of the walking things. He turned around and see that it's tail as well as it's whole body began to light up brighter and brighter until it created an explosion near him. It wasn't as strong as his time bomb but since it was on the ground it did shook the foundation to the area a bit. "~Exploding mice? Now I know they're your...WHAT THE?!~" The moment he turned back to he rival he saw the same shiny mouse-like mine moving towards him. At that time he instantly fell on his back dodging the mouse bomb as it exploded on the ground again. When he got back up, he saw his theory to be right as he sees the red coat hero holding up one of the exploding mice. But it looks puffed up than the others. Suddenly when he tossed it he can sense the wind blowing behind it moving the mouse towards him fast. Frost simply stepped to the side and held his emblem to get his sweeper back in his hand. After dodging another explosion he said '~Hot potato huh? Fine by me!~" Confused, Klonoa asked "~Hot Potato?~" when he was suddenly told "~Catch!~" He see a black bomb heading towards him but instead of dodging, he used his wind bullet to grab the bomb expanding a little bigger. The mobian grinned as he crouched down and glanced back to see another mouse in range of he sweeper. "~Nice! Now...~" as he sweeps up the mouse bomb into his vacuum. "He lunged his sweeper forward yelling "~...think fast!~" Klonoa instinctively threw the bomb his foe gave him to the oncoming Boomie but since neither of them were ready to explode the boomie fell to the ground as the bomb bounced off of it and rolled to the other two boomies next to it. Most of the area shook massively as all four bombs went off at once. Fortunately for the two, they've managed to dive out of the way. //Yes! That should be all of them.// The ice cat thought to himself. As the dust blew away ha asked "~Now where were we?...What?!~" Frostcat was puzzled as he sees the enemy with one more mouse bomb over his head answering ~Hot potato...~ Suddenly the mouse began to beep as he threw it asking ~...Right?!~ The sweeper cat quickly sucked the bomb in the vac before it exploded and replied right and shot it right back. Not knowing that their dive brought them dangerously close to the crumbling ledge of the cliff, they've tossed the last Boomie back and fourth a couple of times. Frost then noticed that the bomb was beginning to ignite and should the long-eared rival throw it, it will explode the time it reached his sweeper. Frost knew the risk and made and break for it skating as fast as he could toward the wind warrior. Klonoa saw him approaching and tossed the Bommie at him. At that instant Frost shot out one of his bombs towards the mouse to intercept. The explosions push both warriors back away from each other. Being bruised up and slightly covered in dirt, Frost gathered his stance and looked onward to see the similar damaged opponent. Klonoa was surprised that the icy adversary would try to take both of them out from nowhere, even if it was the risk of him falling of the cliff from the explosion. As they try to gather their second wind, they could only stand there waiting for the other's next move.
