*This is where the Sonic Adventure/Rush story mode come into play.  Both sides WILL be different.  Trying to combine the two result in a confrintation so big it'll jumble the upcoming chapters.  If any questions arise about any mistakes, or issues with the characters involved, please read the Preface on Chapter 1.*

Chapter 4 - The Unworldly Conviction

	With the main purpose to aid his friends, Klonoa rushed back to the forest of La-Lakoosha in hopes to meet up with Popka and Tat.  As he continues along, the dream traveler can only try to piece together what has just happened.  //"Those bothersome rodents won't know what hit them......Not even that miserable hedgehog can stop me......You might be just the thing I need to complete my ultimate plan."//  As he thinks back to what the round man mentioned.  Klonoa thought to himself //~But...who was he talking to.  And a hedgehog?  It's just not adding up.~//  

He stopped his train of thought as he sees a few more of the round man's robots pursuing him.  The dream traveler tried his best to out run them but to no avail as they formed into their full size modes completely surrounding him again.  Klonoa formed his sword in hopes to survive the onslaught until suddenly one of the robots slowly spoke. "dd..d...danger...dd...d..danger....strong.....heat....signature....detec...detec...detecaaaatttrrrrrrrr......."  Klonoa was surprised that the main robot and the others were suddenly powering down and collapsing on the ground.  He then formed his sword back to his normal wind ring as he starts to wipe the brow of his head.  

//~uh oh.....looks like robots won't be the only ones to shut down.  I got to get out and fast.~//  The dream traveler used his instincts to run away from the strange waves of heat.  It was only a few minutes in a random direction that the heat waves has started to disappear.  //~Whew....that was close.  I would have been...Oh no!~// It was at that moment that he realized that it was possible that not all of the strange weather signals have stopped.  Unaware that his surrounding woods were completely different during the minutes that he ran, he started to call out for his friends. ~Lolo! Leorina! Guntz! Popka!  Tat!  Where are you guys!  Can anyone hear me?!~  As he cries out to his friends, he can suddenly hear a young girl's voice but can barely make it out. ~Lolo...~ he muttered as he sprints towards the mysterious voice.

	As he moves deeper into the forest, the dream traveler slowed down the pace and wondered //~Wait.  This doesn't look like La-Lakoosha at all.~// "Help!  Somebody please help me!"  The alert feline has sprung back into action when he heard the voice's plea.  Klonoa slowed down and hid behind the trees as he went closer to the voice.  When he look to the side of the tree he saw something familiar about the situation.  In the center was a scared young tan rabbit with brown tips on her ears covering her eyes as she was being surrounded by four black Moos with spears in their hands.  

Without hesitation, Klonoa jumped in front of the helpless rabbit, held up his ring and shouted ~"Whirlwind Tornado"~  The moment he shot his wind bullet it quickly expanded into a small yet powerful tornado  knocking the spear equipped Moos away as they popped while the long eared feline and rabbit remained inside.  The scared rabbit suddenly looked around only to find what she believes to be a fellow rabbit in front of her.  "Wow!  Thank you very much mister." the young bunny girl said.  

Klonoa turned around to respond.  He looked at the young rabbit wearing her red dress with a blue ribbon tie with orange and yellow fronted shoes.  Her brown eyes matched the tips of her ears as well as the outer part of her eyes.  ~It's no problem.  Are you alright?~ Klonoa asked.  There were only a few moments of the trees rustling through the wind until the girl responded "Oh!  I'm sorry mister.  What did you say?"  Klonoa was a bit confused at first, but he tried to speak to her again.  ~I said are you alright?~  But the rabbit can only tilt her head to the side and explained. 

"uuhh...I'm so sorry." as she quickly bows in respect.  "I can't make out what you just said."  This also has the dream traveler worried.  //~How come she doesn't know what I'm saying but the round man can?~// he asked himself in thought.  Both of them were stumped as far a communicating until the rabbit figured something out.  "Mister, you can understand me right?"  the rabbit asked as Klonoa nodded.  "Then let's try names." ~okay...!~ the dream traveler covered his mouth forgetting that she couldn't understand him.  

The feline then slowly pointed to himself and slowly said "~Kalo-No-Ah~" The bunny girl followed "Ka-Lo-No-Ah?"  The feline shook his head a bit and she tried again. "Klo-No-Ah" He nodded again.  "So your name as Klonoa?" she asked.  ~Yeah*~ Klonoa answered.  The rabbit smiled and said "Nice to meet you Klonoa.  Thank you for saving me." As she gives a friendly smile to her hero.  She then follows suit and points to herself and says "Ka-Re-Mm."  Klonoa tries to repeat as best as he can ~Ka-Re-Mu...Cream?~  "~Yeah!*~" Cream answered.  Klonoa leaned back a bit in surprise.  "I've got to learn your language one way right?" she asked with a smile again.  The feline giggled a bit and answered ~Yeah*~ 

He started to walk forward and looks back at her and said ~Cream, Let's go!*~ as he waved her to follow him.  Putting her full trust into him, Cream followed Klonoa along in hopes to return home.  When they were out of sight, the person emerged from the trees and grasps it's hands as it suddenly flares into a flame around it's fists.

	The duo continued aimlessly into the forest in hope to find something that's familiar to them.  "Ahh...Klonoa?" ~hmm?~  "I know you can understand me, but I think you should know what's going on."  Cream suggested.  Klonoa simply said ~Yeah*~ as he might get a clue as to what the round man's purpose is.  "Well, I was in the Freedom Fighter's base when suddenly those creepy faced round things attacked us.  Some were bigger than others." she explained.  "I've managed to escape, but I think someone else might have escaped too.  I just hope we'll find him soon."  

Klonoa thought to himself //~So that's what he meant before I stopped him...but that means...Am I even in Lunatea?~//  They've both pressed on as they came across a wide gap of the ground as if a massive earthquake has just suddenly struck recently.  Klonoa walked to the edge and looked down to see a deep fall into the ravine //No normal jump can get over it and my ears can only so...~//  "AAAHHH!!!" The scream broke his concentration as he looks towards Cream to see a bunch of bluish portals appearing in front of them.  It wasn't long before a group yellow, black, and giant Moos appeared at once.  

Cream ran towards Klonoa for protection as he tries to think of a plan.  //~I could try to use my boomerang.  But Cream might get in the way.  Guess I have no choice.~//  Klonoa shifted to the side then hopped back in front of Cream.  ~Don't worry Cream, I'll protect you.~  Judging by his actions, Cream knew that her protector would do anything to keep her safe.  As she was looking across the huge gap, she knew what she has to do.  

Determined to repay the favor she immediately ran towards the edge of the cliff and said "Klonoa!"  The long eared feline took a glance at Cream right at the edge pointing to the other side.  He then shook his head to tell her that it's no good.  Cream followed through by pointing at her raised ears.  Klonoa quickly focused his attention at the oncoming Moos approaching.  Focusing his power he changed his ring into his beam sword as it was starting to change color from green to a light violet when suddenly he caught the response from the rabbit.  

~Klonoa! Let's Go!*~ as the rabbit waved him over to where she is.  Klonoa changed the beam sword back to his wind ring as he starts to run towards the edge.  Klonoa jumped off the edge first and start to flop his ears like a bird.  Unfortunately he can only stay in the air in a matter of seconds.  Cream noticed his ears stopped moving and was beginning to fall.  She jumped downward in order to reach out for the fallen feline's hand.  Klonoa let out a loud scream for no more than a second as he was suddenly grabbed by his hand and lifted into the air.  He couldn't believe it for a second that a little bunny child can have such strength in her ears to carry the both of them across the gap to the other side.  

//~I really need to practice more on flying myself~// the dream traveler thought to himself as they both landed.  "I thought you were able to fly across Mr. Klonoa.  Aren't you a rabbit too?"  Cream asked as Klonoa just blushed and scratching his nose a bit.  Cream giggled at the supposed bunny's reaction and said "That's okay.  You don't have to tell me.  Let's keep going."  As they both agree and proceeded further the Moos suddenly disappeared by a strong wave of fire as the watcher appears in their place.  It ran forward and jumped high in the air as it's shoes shot out like rockets pushing the pursuer to the other side.

	As Klonoa and Cream walked through the last of the bushes and trees they've came across a strange area that they have never seen before.  Although the surrounding mountainous wall covered by a waterfall was similar to La-Lakoosha and Baguji's island, it was somehow different.  There were no grass in the area either.  Just a flat open dirt area that stretched to at least an acre as it stop as a ledge.  

Klonoa took a look over and realized a river that was an extremely long way down.  As Klonoa walked back to Cream who was standing in the remaining parts of the trees he suddenly saw a spark behind her.  Before he could warn her, a fireball flew from behind and completely missed Cream and heading straight for him.  He quickly shot his wind bullet and nullify the fireball into nothing.  Cream looked in surprise as she realize exactly who it was that could do that attack.  She turned around and asked "Blaze?  Is that you?"  

Another voice responded "Cream, back away from him.  He's dangerous and could possibly hurt you."  ~What?!~ Klonoa said regardless of the language problem.  Cream pleaded with the voice. "That's not true Blaze, he saved me from those creatures that attacked us."  The person emerged from the top of the trees and landed beside Cream and looked to the persecutor.  

Klonoa was a bit defensive just by looking at her.  A light purple feline with a red jewel embedded on her forehead wearing white pants and a darker purple jacket that cuts off to the side and continues down to the outer sides of her knees.  Her gloves and dark pink shoes have spiky cuffs and also have most of her hair tied upwards behind her head.  She then asked Cream "And who's to say that it could be trick to capture you?  Or worse..."  The person asked.  The dream traveler shouted ~No way!  I would never to that to anyone~  

No such luck came to help Klonoa for the person known as Blaze was unable to understand him either.  "It's useless trying to explain anything murderer."  Cream then looked in shock hearing those words.  "No Blaze that isn't true."  Blaze then looked at Cream eye to eye and reached out in her pocket and held out a wrist communicator.  "Is it?" She then ask.  Cream suddenly dropped to her knees and whispered "...Tails?"  as she begins to cry.  "I'm sorry Cream."  Klonoa tries to explain himself again. ~Cream, don't listen to her.  I didn't do...~ the convicted feline said until he was interrupted by Blaze.

"~FOUR!~" she shouted as Klonoa stopped completely.  "That is what you said before you finished him off right?"  Blaze boldly asked as sudden heat waves formed around her.  Cream slowly walked back into the trees grieving over her best friend knowing full well what will happen next.  Klonoa tried one more time by pointing to his eyes saying ~He had red eyes and was made of metal.  He's not real!~  "You're right.  I did see the whole thing.  And that communicator is proof that Tails is no more!"  With a blink of an eye, Blaze shot fire out of her hands as the entire area was starting to get more and more humid.  With her eyes locked on to the alleged killer, she simply said "Prepare yourself!"  Klonoa realized that talking any more was useless and if he wanted to get out of this situation alive, he would have no choice but to fight her and win.

	Blaze formed another fireball out of her right hand and the moment she threw it, she made a quick dash behind it.  Klonoa instinctively shot his ring bullet at the fireball again but this time has kept it's form and expanded into a bigger flame.  The dream traveler had the upper hand in throwing the fireball back to her until a swift breeze blew across him and before he knew it a strong force struck Klonoa under his chin, lifting the confused warrior backward a couple of feet in the air.  

The relentless Blaze took the opportunity as she was already under him to perform a back kick to the warrior's upper back.  Fallen face first, Klonoa could barely look back to see where the purple cat disappeared to.  The firry feline was already high in the air spinning at incredible speed as the flames began to engulf her entire body.  While making the finishing move, the slightly dazed cat can already feel the same intense heat from earlier that shut down the robots that pursued him.  He looked at the corner of his eye to see the fire cat spin as the flames followed her and was heading towards him fast.  Fortunately the distance gave him enough time to push his arm, legs and floppy ears upward to completely avoid the flaming kick that just landed to where he was.  

In mid-flight, Klonoa formed his beam sword and swung downward releasing a powerful gust of wind toward the purple cat putting out what fire she had around her and pushing her to the side as he safely lands. //~She really serious!~// he thought to himself as he readies himself for another surprise attack.  "You're fast, but not fast enough!" Blaze yelled as she starts to spin around, covering herself in flames again.  Klonoa tried to use the same gust of wind as before while she vastly approaches him but her spinning attack went right through the wind and landed a fire kick to his stomach knocking the warrior half the distance closer to the ledge.  

He gasped for air as he tries to pull himself together.  "It's over.  This is for Tails!" the fire feline boldly stated while her right hand grew a massive fire ball covering it.  Klonoa looked at her very carefully to try to find out what her weakness is otherwise he won't be able to fight much longer.  //~Right foot....then right foot again....now her right hand....THAT'S IT!  She turns...~// as the dream traveler was in full focus on what to do next.  Sure enough Blaze starts to spin again to deliver the final blow for sure.  

Klonoa changed his blade back to his ring and started to spin in the opposite direction as he began to emit a green glow around him.  They both charged each other spinning their own colorful blur and immediately Klonoa  shouted ~TRUE WHIRLWIND TORNADO~ and flew his arm holding the ring forward while the light blue bullet shot toward the fire spinning enemy and without warning, she got the time to punch through the small bullet, it completely expanded into an extreme tornado spinning the same opposite direction causing her to trip and spun herself into the ground trapping Blaze inside.  

	Underestimating her enemy, the remaining flames started to disappear while she was getting up.  "Impossible!" Blaze shouted as she tries to flame her way through the wind.  "What? My flames.  Why aren't...aren't...." Suddenly she starts to kneel to the ground gasping for air and in the mist of all of the fighting, Cream was seeing the whole thing.  "No....It's not true...it's not true...Klonoa, please stop it!  PLEASE!"  Still in his position controlling the attack, the dream warrior can her the rabbit's cries for mercy.  
//~I'm sorry cream. If I stop now, she'll kill me for sure.  She just has to pass out, that's all. Please forgive me.~// Klonoa thought to himself in hopes it will somehow reach Cream.  Suddenly as he focuses his attention toward the tornado, a light blue sword flew downward cutting through the massive winds and in front of Blaze. The moment it struck the ground, it formed a wide enough wall of ice across her stopping the tornado's flow completely.  Klonoa jumped back a bit to get a good distance from whomever stop him.  

All he can see is a silhouette of what looks to be another cat as it pulls the sword from the ground.  The wall of ice started to melt and crumble as Blaze was regaining her flames and strength.  Once the wall was completely gone, the dream traveler can only see the back of the mysterious feline hold a sword made of ice as his clothing were nothing but black with blue flames below on his jacket and pants.  //~Huh?  Great, now what's going on?~// he thought to himself as he prepares for the worst.
