Chapter 3 - A Weapon in Progress

	The dream traveler continues to explore around the Claire Moa Temple to spot anything out of the ordinary until he realized something that was.  //~If there is any problems with the worlds, then where are the Moos?  I haven't seen any creatures from the dark ever since that ice making machine attacked us~//  When he finally decided to go the the pathway leading up to the temple, he sees some sort of metal box blocking the way.  Curious, the long eared cat slowly approaches it.  

The box suddenly activates and began to rise.  It stuck out robotic legs with three prongs as feet and robotic arms with armor like discs as it's shoulders and forearms. the head was a disc like structure as well but it also has red eyes gleaming underneath it.  On it's top left side of the robot's chest plate shined what seems to be a beacon of light.  When the light reached Klonoa, one of the robotic arms changed into a laser cannon and fired at the traveler.  Klonoa quickly ducked under the laser blast and reformed his sword.  The robot continued to fire but the traveler hopped and hovered behind the robot and sliced it in half.  

Looking at it closely, Klonoa wasn't able to see the triangle with stars arching over it symbolizing Volk's insignia.  Instead, on the back of the robot he sees a simple picture of a round face with glasses and a an over-sized mustache.  //~That's not Volk's robots.~//  ~Huh?~  He suddenly hears small jets gradually approach him.  The feline warrior looked up to find several robots closing in on him as they land in a platoon formation with their laser guns ready.  

~Uh oh!~ Klonoa shouted jumping back to get some distance from the machines.  The instant the robots land in formation they began to fire rapidly as Klonoa can only cross his arms with his ring in front of him.  Instinctively the ring started to change form creating a circular orange and yellow shield in front of him.  The ring became a metal Y-shaped blade when it finally took form.  The dream traveler took the opportunity and dived to the side throwing the three point star toward one of the robots.  

Quickly getting back up, he turned his back to them as the robots tried to focus their aim, but the star curved around striking all of them before they had the chance to fire again.  Klonoa simply held his hand up to catch the triple bladed boomerang as all of the remaining robots exploded.  The feline looked up at the temple to see if there are any robots left but instead notice some sort of dish placed on top of the temple's spire.  //~That must be what is causing the strange weather.  I have to hurry.~//  The dream traveler changed his boomerang back to his sword and starts to run up the winding path.

	As soon as Klonoa reached the top, he decided to sneak around behind the spire so he wouldn't be surprised again from his first visit to this world.  Looking from the left of the spire, he looked up to see the dish sending signals across  the kingdoms of Lunatea.  Slowly he walked around the tall tower slowly as he sees a  tall, skinny yet obese person in the center of the platform on which he first met Leorina looking at the chaos down below with a small floating round hover craft next to him.  

From the distance he can already see the over-sized mustache from his light tan dome like bald head. His arms and legs are lengthy enough to be part of Joliant's performance shows with a big round torso to match.  As the person lifted his arm, Klonoa quickly hid back only to see a radio in the person's hand.  "Yes.  All of the transmitters are in position and towns are changing climate already........And what about you?.........Good, those bothersome rodents won't know what hit them.  Once the plan gets in motion, things will become interesting for our guests."  

As the tall round man was talking, the stealthy traveler managed to find the main console of the satellite dish where the bell's activator was.  Klonoa then sliced the computer stopping the dish's signal array completely as the man starts to boast.  "Once they are out of the way, I'm soon become the greatest ruler in all the world.  Not even that miserable hedgehog can stop me na....What?!" as he notices the destruction of the kingdoms suddenly seize to a stop all at once.  "Impossible!  Is he here already?"  

He quickly turned around only to see a floppy eared cat bunny thing with a blue hat and red coat.  "Ah, one of the locals must be lucky enough to get past my robots."  Klonoa took a good look at the man behind the robot attacks and disasters.  He has a red long sleeved jacket with yellow cuffs that goes past his round torso on the sides.  Although he has black goggles on his head, he's wearing dark tinted glasses that are literally over his eyes on his big reddish nose.  The mustached man also have a two in one black pants and boots.  The entire outfit has white stripes along his boots, as well as the front, sides and arms of his coat.  

Klonoa quickly drew his sword to intimidate the man that was starting to approaching him.  ~You're the person behind all of this.  What do you want here?~  The man stepped back a bit and said "My, my.  It seems the natives are getting restless.  No matter.  You can be the first to test out my new line of experiments." ~Test?~ Klonoa wondered.  The red coat man snapped his fingers and suddenly a bright orange figure leaped in a form of a ball and landed in between them in the shape of someone as it slowly stood and looked up.  

It seems to be like any other living being but something about it was different.  Orange fur, fox ears, two tails with white tips, white furred belly and mouth, red and white shoes, and orange hair sticking outward.  But when it opened it's eyes.  It suddenly changed from sky blue to bright red.  ~What the...?~  "Remarkable isn't he.  He's was suppose to be the first to take on a more suitable opponent, but I guess you'll have to do."  The man walks back to get on his floating hovercraft.  Klonoa ran forward yelling ~Wait!~ when the red eyed fox blocked his way staring directly at him.  While floating from a safe distance, he said "Don't worry, I'm not running away.  I want to see just how the common folk fair."

	Klonoa gripped his ring sword and said "That's just the thing, I'm not common!~ At that statement, he swung his sword creating a wind tunnel that blew the fox several yards back and up in the air.  The fox used his tails to rotate them around like propellers, catching himself from the windy blast as he lands.  With them still spinning around he gained speed and charged towards the dream traveler.  Klonoa jumped up making the fox run under him and crashing into the already destoryed console.  

He used his ears to float in the air as he sees the emerging fox flying at him.  He attempted to land a flying kick as the floating feline blocked the oncoming leg and tried a right hook that landed square to the fox's face.  ~YE-OW!~ he shouted as his arm was quickly grabbed buy the metal shelled fox and started to spin him around in a ball making the feline disorientated.  The fox then flung Klonoa into the ground who was fortunate that his ears slowed the speed on which he land on his back first instead of his head.  

He slowly opened his eyes to see the fox soaring down with his fist aimed at him.  Without hesitation he focused his power into his ring as it changed form into a long two sided spiked hammer.  He leaned his body forward to roll underneath his armored opponent's attack that wound up into the ground.  The dream traveler took the opportunity to run up to the fox the while a yellow orb formed on the attack spike of the hammer.  He swung the hammer underhand yelling ~FOUR!~ and connected the spike under the fox's chin followed by a bolt of lightning surging through him as is flew twelve feet into the air.  The eyes of the furry coated metallic fox turned back to it's sky blue color and stopped to move as it made it's final crash onto the ground.  The mustached man looked in shock as he sees the bird's eye view of his creation being put out of commission by the cat-bunny thing.

	Klonoa looked up the man in the floating carrier and said ~See?~  The man shook out of his bewilderment and answered "Very uncommon indeed.  Interesting.  You might be just the thing I need to complete my ultimate plan."  ~What do you mean?~ Klonoa asked.  The man laughed boldly and responded "Why should I spoil the surprise?  You and I will make a great team afterall.  Farewell.  Nice doing business with you."  As he starts to fly away, Klonoa can only run to the edge looking onward.  

//~Now it's robots I have to fight.  What does this all mean?//  He then looks at the other kingdoms safe from unnatural harm until the entire land starts to become wavy in the distance.  He feels something strange with his surroundings but he can also feel something familiar.  Darkness.  //~The others!~// he realized as the feline began to go back down the winding path to the ground, he briefly stopped to look at the motionless robot controlled fox and then continues back down the path, unaware that to the right side of the spire were a pair of wandering gold like yellow eyes watching the long eared feline leave.  

The person walked out of the bushes to get a closer look at the body.  Sure enough, it was a lifeless two tailed orange fox who was vital to their organization.  As waves starting to surround the person, it then hopped off the ledge of the platform in hopes to pursue the killer.
