August 7, 2010 It finally happened. We caught up. But we were too late... Moving faster than I ever had before, I ended up in France...right in Paris. People were running towards me in a panic. It seemed like millions...Chette moved her hands and suddenly we were both thrown upward, above the crowd...We landed by the Arc de Triomphe. There, directly under it, was the tiger, on one knee, eyes closed, chanting. I could just barely hear him as I walked up to him. "God, please have mercy on these souls, and forgive your humble servant, Shen, for what I am about to do..." He opened his eyes. Suddenly, the entire ground lit up. A giant purple pentagram was visible. My instincts took over and I quickly ran up the side of the Arc. Chette used her magnetic push to shove herself next to me. Good call. We watched helplessly as the buildings around us crumbled to the ground. They seemed to explode. Anybody who touched the pentagram suffered a similar fate; their faces, chests, legs...they exploded, and they collapsed to the ground as well, as if someone had set a tiny bomb on them. One after another Chette and I watched as the people collapsed en masse, like dominoes. Chette covered her mouth in shock. "My city, my city..." I watched in absolute horror as well. Suddenly, we felt a shockwave- the Arc was collapsing. Shen had apparently spotted us and had destroyed the bottom of the Arc, and we were falling. Skillfully bounding off the pieces of the Arc, I landed on the ground. Chette floated down beside me, using her abilities, but collapsed upon landing. I guess using her abilities on herself is a bit more taxing... I stood face to face with Shen. He looked at me with his fierce, wild eyes. "Do you intend to stand in God's way?" He asked, his fist clenching. "If there was any God, he wouldn't want his creation destroyed like this!" I formed my blue, glowing sword and got into a fighting stance, gripping the hilt with both hands. "HUMANS are the ones destroying everything! He's saving his creation! If you intend to get in His way, you will perish with the humans!" His fists glowed a dark purple. We stared for just a second more. I ran at him. He ran at me. I raised my sword as he raised his fist... My sword and his fist collided. It didn't cut through his fist, and my blade...began to disintegrate! I quickly jumped away. He ran after me, his eyes wilder than ever. I blinked, and suddenly he was right in my face. I didn't have time to react as he slugged me right across my face. I went flying and tumbling across the ground. I jumped back to my feet and felt the place he had punched...the fur was gone. Whatever that energy was, it disintegrated all it touched. I would have to fight him from a distance. I extended an open palm and shot my blue energy right out of it, in short bursts. He dodged them easily and so swiftly that I couldn't tell if he was moving out the way or teleporting. As he got closer I sped away, jumped on top of some rubble, and shot at him again. I jumped off the rubble...and as I jumped I looked behind me and saw Shen. His foot met my face, and I was kicked out of mid-air into a ruined building. It would've killed any ordinary person. I got up slowly, small pieces of rubble on my shoulders and head. I brushed them off, stood up, ready to attack again...and instantly collapsed to the ground. My leg...he had managed to break my leg... "Poor, poor fox," Shen said, suddenly looming over me. "It looks like this is it for you. I will send you to God so you can receive your judgment." He held me down with his powerful right arm, and with his left hand, still glowing purple, he drew a circle around me with the foul energy. "In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I condemn you to hell." He placed his hands together... Suddenly he was thrown back, into the air. He landed on his back with a thud. I looked behind me. Chette was standing there. Weakly, shaking, but still there. Her arms were extended to allow her to shove Shen back. She breathed in heavy gasps. "Did...you think...I was dead? That was your mistake..." She collapsed once again. Suddenly, visions began racing through my mind. The people exploding in bloody bursts...the city, once so majestic, collapsing...Chette, risking everything to save me... My fists glowed red. The energy spread to my entire body. My legs snapped back into place and healed itself. I stood up, shaking with rage. I don't remember anything from that point forward.
