"writing": "Chapter 1 Silverstream's flower\n\n\nIt was Thursday and every Thursday the student six gathered in the library to study together. Gallus and Ocellus were already pretty deeply nestled into reading tomes about magic. Meanwhile, Smolder was busy glaring angrily at yet another book about magic.\n\n“I'm just not getting this magic stuff. Seriously I get the impression that magic people make things more complicated than it needs to be.”\n\nGallus looked up from his book. “It's not hard Smolds, sure the earth pony rituals can be kinda complicated but other than that it's pretty simple stuff.”\n\n“But why does it need to be complicated?” Smolder huffed.\n\n“That's easy.” Ocellus grinned. “Because Earth ponies have a lot of time to devote themselves to complex rituals. ”\n\n“Soooo what are you doing your report on Ocellus.” Gallus grinned.\n\n“The construction of the philosopher's stone.”\n\nGallus looked over the book in Ocellus's hands. “But that book's on coincidence and synchronicity.”\n\n“I know. I finished my report a few hours ago... I'm just reading this for fun.” She closed her eyes and grinned.\n\nSmolder flung the book she was perusing to the ground. “Come on there's gotta be some kind of magic that's easy to understand... and where the buck is Silver?”\n\n“Yona not seen her for days.” Yona scratched the side of her head.\n\n“You guys!” The sound of Silverstream's loud voice echoed throughout the room. Gallus's feathers got ruffled, and Ocellus dropped her book. Everypony turned to look at the source and saw Silverstream in the doorway with a massive grin on her face and holding a potted flower under her arm.\n\n“Buck Silver, don't scare us like that.” Smolder snorted.\n\nSilverstream darted over to the table. “Oh my gosh I've been having the most amazing few days.”\n\n“Hopefully doing your homework, we've all got a report on magic due next week.”\n\nSilverstream nodded. “Yeah I know so I started reading some books on magical plants. And oh my gosh it was so fascinating.”\n\n“You say that about everything.” Gallus deadpanned.\n\nAlas, Silverstream didn't seem to register Gallus. “So anyways I wanted to do something super special for the report so I went into the Everfree forest and found some seeds on the ground. So then I planted them watered them and.” She trailed off as she set the potted flower on the table. “Ta da.”\n\nEverypony took in the exotic flower. It had a bright red flower bud with yellow trim around the edges.\n\n“What kind of flower is that?” Ocellus pointed at the flower.\n\nSilverstream simply grinned. “I have absolutely no idea.”\n\nOcellus's eyes went wide. “Wait! You don't know!?”\n\nSilverstream shook her head. “Nope haven't had time to research that.”\n\n“Sooo.” Gallus started. “What did you have time to do?”\n\n“Oh I just focused on making sure it grew as quickly as was healthy. Nothing a little enchanted water can't fix.” She closed her eyes and grinned.\n\nGallus just smirked. “Yeah, I'm guessing you didn't write up the actual report.”\n\n“Report?” Silverstream tilted her head.\n\nOcellus nodded. “Yeah, the report that's due with your presentation.”\n\nSilverstream just stared wistfully into the air. “Oh... I forgot about that.”\n\n“Um Silverstream... why flower bubbling?” Yona pointed towards the flower. Silverstream cautiously looked over towards the bud of the flower which was bubbling and oscillating.\n\n“Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!” Silverstream beamed and snatched up a piece of paper and a pencil. “This is totally awesome I've never seen it do that before. I wonder what'll happen.” Silverstream and everypony else eagerly watched the flower in anticipation. One by one the petals unfurled to reveal two golden bulbs in the middle of the blooming flower.\n\n“Wow, flower look lovely.” Suddenly however, the flower closed up again and quickly snapped open as it let loose a yellow haze of gas into the air. Everypony coughed as the gas filled their respective nostrils. \n\nWhen the hazy gas cleared Gallus piped up. “What the heck was that?” He coughed a bit. \n\n“I'd say it was some kind of pollination cycle.” Ocellus muttered between coughs.\n\nSandbar coughed. “Yeah... wasn't expecting that to happen.”\n\n“Maybe you better get that thing out of here before it decides to spray us all again.” Smolder glared.\n\nSilverstream nodded, “Seems like a good idea.” Without much of a word, Silverstream left the study session with her weird flower in tow.\n\n“Sometimes I get the impression that Silver's gonna get us in some kind of trouble with all her weird endeavors.” Gallus rolled his eyes.\n\n“I hear you there Gallus.” Smolder sneezed. “I'm gonna be sneezing that pollen out for weeks.”\n\n“We better get back to work. She frowned as she looked down at her chest. Ever since she got up that morning, she felt an odd sensation pulsate through her chest.\n\n“Hey.” Ocellus's voice broke through the haze of her thoughts. Silverstream looked over to Ocellus and saw all her friends sitting at a table eating breakfast together. “Come and join us.” With a grin, Silverstream walked over to the table and sat down next to Gallus.\n\n“So” Ocellus started. “How's the report coming?”\n\n“Haven't written it yet. I'm gonna start on it right after breakfast.” Silverstream grinned.\n\n“Yona finish report yesterday.”\n\n“Oh. What's it about?” Ocellus smiled.\n\n“Yak ice magic. It's probably just a cold.” Gallus reluctantly took a bite of his fish.\n\n“Dude. My chest is feeling wonky too.” Sandbar added.\n\n“Thank buck it's not just me.
