Patreon doesn't want lots of small artists. Patreon wants to have a few very successful artists so that they can more easily put out success stories for PR. That's why they did their recent change to payments to scare people away from small pledges to new or not-popular artists.

I'm not going to delete my Patreon outright, but I'm going to put it on hiatus.
