Every one of the second graders was silent and either focused on their homework or intently staring at the clock above the door as it counted down the last few minutes until that magic sound freed them from their academic prison. Every second felt like forever, and young River could barely sit still. The young pomeranian-husky hybrid stared at the clock, his sky blue eyes wide with anticipation as he vainly tried to contain his curly little tail from wagging. \n\n'Any second now!' River thought, grinning from ear to ear.\n\nBR-R-R-R-R-R-IIIIIIING!!!\n\nAll at once every cub leapt to their feet as the teacher dismissed the horde elementary schoolers that were now clamouring for their backpacks. River grabbed his little yellow raincoat and buttoned it up tight. He ducked out the door and ran down the hallway, ignoring the teachers shouting not to run in the halls. It was too late for that, as the eager puppy rushed out the door and into the pouring rain. In just those few minutes the once light drizzle turned into a downpour and the pup's thin bangs in front of his nose immediately became soaked, but the puppy didn't care in the slightest. In fact, the small pup didn't even care as the yellow plastic hood flew off his head as he sprinted down the street towards home.\n\nWithin moments his hair was drenched, but River just laughed aloud. The little pomsky eyed his first target within the first block down, a large puddle right in the middle of the sidewalk that had pooled in a large missing chunk of the concrete.
