\n\t\t\t\t\tevergreenplateAfter a years-long fat run at the expense of the livestock herders in the outskirts of the trackless frontier of the lupine empire, where it was easy to occasionally emerge from the wilds to snatch a cow and return into safety to digest, Felinaga realizes it’s time for regrets as she stops to lean onto a weathered fence pole after having arduously slithered to the far end of the pasture with an entire fresh cow carcass bulging her upper stomach. Since by now she has realized there’s more going on inside her aching scaly midsection than particularly difficult digestion, possibly something much more perilous hidden by angry herders no doubt as the nauseating sensation of her stomach lining being stretched at multiple points is manifesting as small bulges under her hide.
Belching as angry grumbling emanates from her greatly bloated stomach, she holds onto the fence pole while reaching out to press on one of the bulges, only to find out it’s akin to the tip of a stiff rod extending all the way through her belly to the other side, and it has apparently been gradually growing longer while she’s been digesting her meal – which is a discovery that fills her with dread as she’d been hearing occasional rumours of such traps in livestock being used to deal with sneaky predators, but didn’t believe much in their existence, not to mention running into them herself!
But now she’s forced to believe as the bulges under her scales appear to be pushing slightly further out every few minutes, and judging from the increasing frequency of sudden urge to throw up they are picking up pace within her.
Crap, they boobytrapped it- My stomach’s going to pop! she eventually concludes to her chagrin while leaning onto the fence post and drooling uncontrollably from the nausea which radiates from her aching stomach – not daring to even try slithering to cover as the rods already rather perilously prod the pliable walls of her huge rippling stomach. Oooh, this is so cruel, to have to wait for it… she curses while writhing in distress as the rods mercilessly distend her stomach internally.
Unlike nausea stemming from over-stuffing herself which eases up over time, tonight it just intensifies for her under a bright full moon which reveals how the rod traps continue to protrude further out with each passing minute, with involuntary acidic burps following each other while saliva dribbles unabated onto the ground from her maw.
‘GRRLK! Hgyaah – I guess I – owwww – deserved this for being too greedy to move to other hunting grounds, they – rrrrgh – got me good!’ she mutters with her fangs gritted before breaking into a loud wail when agony shoots through her distended coil from the rods extending a tad again, although at this point she’s so stretched out they aren’t extending as much anymore as they are putting more tension on her throbbing stomach lining. The ends of the rods are blunt and rounded, to allow for more forced stretch before they puncture through – which she already knows they’re going to do soon given how sharp the pain under each protruding bulge has gotten.
A short while later bile starts to rise up her throat as convulsions intensify across her tormented stomach, something which makes her utter a series of audible nervous gulps as she tries to hold it down, though simultaneously realizing it’s in vain due to how her stomach feels ready to explode. Aah, such vindictive people out here! Can’t believe I’m – I’m going to bu-aaaAAH she thinks when the agony of the strain and nausea become unbearable, her gagging abruptly turning into a shrill wail as the combination of churning convulsions and tension finally cause her stomach lining to start tearing until the rods almost simultaneously slam through – burning acidic slurry instantly spilling inside her body while her wail is cut short by part of it blasting up her throat and out of her maw all over the ground. Blurting and gasping, she starts to crumple onto the soiled ground while still involuntarily attempting to throw up as the inside of her belly burns viciously, its bulging shape smoothing out due to her ruptures stomach leaking…
In the meantime, at a farmhouse at the foot of the hills -
‘Pop, what’s that noise?’ a teenaged lupine suddenly asks and pauses working on the knife handle he’s carving, his ears canting toward the window.
Chuffing, he raises his eyes from the bone carving he’s been working on to listen intently for a moment, before uttering a pleased growl.
‘I think our unwelcome guest – you remember how I told you cows were disappearing, right? – has found the special carcass we prepared. Means we’ll head out in the morning to check it out, they should be all finished by then!’
‘Wow! So the rods are popping their stomach out there? I wanna see what could eat all of those!’
‘Well, son, you’re going to see tomorrow, and we’ll gut and skin whatever it is, together – now let me see that handle, seems almost done to me so we could perhaps try fitting it...’
As they keep talking, the distant wailing dies out as quickly as it begun, not that either pays any notion to it as they’re already busy discussing how to best finalize the knife handle and how to affix it to the waiting blade.
