A bit of composition and \"detailed\" backgrounds for once.\n\nInstead of adding the background at the end like a finishing touch, I decided to do that so called \"thumbnailing\" technique where you start with a very crude painty sketch, and then slowly start \"zooming in\" and adding detail.\nWell actually, I did a super quick sketch of the lines at first, then did the linework for the characters and [i]then[/i] I started doing the background. Then alternated between working on the background, and shading/highlighting the characters. [s]And then nearing the end I was just adding layers because as usual I had no clue lol[/s]\n\nProbably the first time in forever that I flattened the background multiple times, like they fearlessly tell you to do when thumbnailing haha.\n[s]Also the first time in forever that I get out of bed in the morning, and draw in the daylight lmao[/s]\n\nSo yeah, this took about five hours on SAI.
