Backstory:
Kurotsuki Fuyu (Blackmoon Winter) was once member of the Kurotsuki clan, she was trained to be a great evil witch, then in a battle she fell in love with a manly wandering warrior, they were dating in secret for weeks, the warrior had to leave but promised he would return to her after some months.
The months passed and there was no sight of him,at that time, she couldn't hide the fact that she was pregnant to the clan, her bulge in the belly and her clumsy moves were betraying her, she brought dishonor to the clan and was thrown out of the manor, exiled forever.
It is not known if the wandering warrior returned to check on her, she was no longer there to wait so she wandered from town to town until she found a place to stay, giving birth to her daughter, who she called Yamiko.
Fuyu, being no longer the bad woman she was raised to be, she raises Yamiko by herself to be a good girl.
Fuyu used her knowledge of potions, herbs and magic to become a healer, helping the town with curing wounds and dispel curses, this way she could support herself and Yamiko to live a normal life.
Some facts:
When she gets drunk, she babbles about how unfair her family was to give her her name that means Winter when she really isn't cold and distant, she wished she was named Natsu(Summer) to compliment her personality.
She sometimes engages in casual sex with close friends she knows from the town, sometimes engaging in threesomes with married couples, sometimes convincing herself this is revenge for the broken promise her beloved warrior made once, assuming that he found another lover to never return to her, and breaks into tears thinking that maybe she is cheating on him, not knowing if he did return to search for her or not.
