Employment with Enchantment Part 1 For Engy and yana_ambrosia By Draconicon Yana forced herself to focus on the headband that she wore, the lavender-purple dragoness putting all of her attention on the enchantment woven through the stretched threads. Not nearly as stretched as her pants were around her new, massive ass, but – Focus…focus… Yana made herself focus on the feeling of that little tingle of magic on her forehead, the warmth and the little rippling, tickling sensation of the energy that had long-since been bound to the threads. Enchantment-magic normally didn’t get along with her own Body-magic, but this had been attuned to her months ago. It was meant to keep her focused, to remember her body shape and make sure she could return to it when things went wrong. And they often did. She shifted her weight on the patio chair – “Mmmph…” As soon as she slid even an inch to the side, the sheer heft of her ass almost yanked her right of the seat. The dragoness huffed under her breath, fighting the little blush that came to her cheeks from the restrained jiggle beneath her pants, and pulled herself back to a more centered position. The wooden chair was almost shoving itself between her well-grown cheeks, and it took all her willpower to focus on her enchanted headband rather than on that. It was all her professor’s fault – no, she couldn’t even say that. It was genuinely her fault, at least for looking into his head the way that she did. Yana knew that the old goat had a thing for big asses, and she knew that he regularly fantasized about some of them having mishaps that would leave them well-stretched in the back and showing off for him. That fantasy had gone right through her mind and hit her hard, and… Well, suffice to say, she’d been lucky to waddle out of class without splitting her pants right down the middle. If it hadn’t been a day for wearing loose clothes, she doubted she would have been that lucky. Yana breathed in, held it, and breathed out. With each breath, she focused on the memory of her old shape in the headband, and little by little, she could feel her body responding. Her ass started pulling in again, and the threadbare back started relaxing. The tension through the lifted waistband under her tail started to ease, and she no longer felt like the blood was getting trapped in that long limb. She breathed in, held it, and then breathed out the fantasized shape as she slowly brought her own to bear again. The dragoness clenched her hands around her knees, forcing herself to stay still and hold that image in her head. Smaller…round, supple, sexy, but smaller. Smaller is still sexy. Smaller is still sexy. Yana shook her head. It’s still nice. It doesn’t have to be sexy. It would be so much easier if she could just disentangle her Perception-magic from her Body-magic. The more that she saw what other people imagined of her, the more that some part of her wanted to become that. It was like – “Excuse me, ma’am.” Yana blinked, barely holding back a small gasp at the interruption. Her link with the Enchantment in the headband faded, but at least the partial changes back didn’t fade. The world came slamming down around her. The fields of magic that swirled about the city of Docetri were intensified here at the Academia Draconis, and even under the sheltered, rune-marked porches and patios of the academy dorms, one could feel the powers of active magic sparking and whooshing about the place. The two-storied dorms faced each other in circling layers, and the wooden pillars – rune and sigil-carved, just like the balconies and coverings around her – formed surprisingly elegant, comforting places. She would have liked to live here, once. Too expensive, though, so she lived elsewhere, though she had a few friends on-campus that would let her use their dorms for a chance to relax. Or fix herself, as she more often had to do. She shook her head, blinking herself back to reality. Standing in front of her were two figures, one familiar, one not. The former was the headmaster of the whole academy, a black-scaled dragon standing seven feet tall and staring down at her with knowing white eyes. The latter was much shorter, perhaps only five and a half feet tall, and gray-scaled…and both formal and very exposed, considering he walked around in nothing but a loincloth and an elaborate chestplate that glinted with gold and gems. “Sorry, I was –” Yana shook her head and stood up, only to immediately grab for the back of her pants to keep the damnably stretched things from sliding right off her now-smaller ass. “Sorry. I was in my head there. Did I miss something?” “No, no,” Headmaster Draconicon said. “But my associate here could feel the magic from your headband and was rather curious.” “My headband?” Yana reached up to it for a moment before stopping herself. “It’s just a trinket. A little aid, that’s all.” “It’s enchanted, ma’am,” the kobold said, nodding with a surprising sense of surety. “May I see it, please?” “He’s an adept with that Power,” the headmaster said, chuckling as he folded his hands behind his back and setting his gold coat to shimmering around him. “You can trust him.” After another second’s hesitation, she peeled the threaded headband off her forehead and passed it to the kobold. He took it with the tip of his tail, and she was surprised to see the dexterity that he had with the oversized limb; she would have expected far less precision with something that had to be at least fifteen feet long. As he tilted it to hang before his head, he stroked one clawed finger along the front of it. “Hmmm, well-made, if a little bit overused,” he said, cocking his head to the side as he tilted his tail this way and that to look at the item from different angles. “And the power inside is nearly spent; clearly it’s been overused.” “Underused, if anything,” the headmaster said, glancing at her with a small smile. “Yana has been very responsible, but her body is…mutable.” “Ah. An abundance of Body-magic. My apologies,” the kobold said, extending his tail back to her. “Are you planning to recharge it?” “…I was, until you said it like that,” she admitted, taking it back. “Why are you –” “Pardon me for saying, but the material for that particular enchantment is a mismatch. The spell – as far as I could determine, of course – was meant as a baseline for your own form, hmmm?” “…You’re very good,” Yana said, nodding. “Yes, that’s the whole point.” “Thread is not particularly suitable for something more permanent like that,” he said. “Enchantment works best with what suits the spell being cast. Putting an enchantment meant to hold a permanent meaning in something that is constantly warped, changed, abraded just by being worn, is going to adjust the core image that it’s meant to hold. Even if you keep the charge up, the image itself will decay, until you start regenerating into something that you no longer recognize. It’s well-made, I’ll give it that – and I will fully credit the one that made the headband in the first place – but there were some fundamental misunderstandings of how Enchantment works. You’re lucky that you’ve managed to maintain yourself this well.” “…You could tell that just by looking at it?” “I am very good at my job.” “He is,” the black dragon said, nodding. “Adaris here is the business-face of the Emporium of Excess here in Docetri, and while he mostly focuses on the numbers and deals –” “Master Engy is hardly one to allow anybody to work for him that doesn’t know what they’re dealing with,” the kobold said with a shake of his head. Engy. Yana managed to keep the sudden shock that the name hit her with off her face. That was a name that the Candlemakers knew, and one that they wanted more information on. Said to be one of the preeminent enchanters of all Docetri, the rich dragon was hard to find, and harder to pin down and get information on. He had a company all to himself, running it out of the port parts of town, and was possibly responsible for no less than thirty disappearances on public record. Perhaps more that were off it. The Candlemakers wanted to know more about him, and there was a standing bounty for any information that an agent could verify and bring in. Knowing that the headmaster of her school dealt directly with the company was something she’d never thought about…but now that she had – Thinking fast, Yana leaned against the railing, looking down at the kobold. She put on the face of someone that was both curious and hopeful, someone embarrassed and someone in need. Heavens knew that the expression had crossed her face often enough in the past. “Hey, I was…curious about something,” she said, nodding at the headband in hand. “If this thing is as bad as you said –” “It’s not bad, just badly designed,” Adaris corrected her. “The craftsmanship is something to admire, even if it was done outside of good practices.” “Right. Um…is there any chance that I might be able to, you know, come with you and see what you might have for sale at the Emporium? Maybe even put in a custom order?” “Hmm, that would be expensive. Master Engy prefers to take very specific types of orders, and our style tends more towards potions enchanted for specific effects rather than something like this.” “I’d be willing to work for it.” “Hmm, I’m sure you would…” Yana didn’t push as the kobold turned to the headmaster. She was too busy thinking of possibilities. She was already behind on her rent by at least a month, and she doubted that the landlady would be as understanding this time around. And much as she was on the fence about the Candlemakers, she knew that they’d have some reward waiting for her. Manipulative, ambitious, and incredibly secretive as they were, they did follow through with the promises they made. They wouldn’t rescue an operative if something went wrong, but anything that went right was properly rewarded. “Hmm. I think we can work something out, provided, of course, that you’re as focused and hard-working as your headmaster says,” Adaris said. “I am.” “Then come here, tomorrow, at nine AM sharp,” the kobold said, reaching behind his back and pulling out a business card. “I’ll be at the gate shortly before that to welcome you. If you’re late, I will have to assess my judgment.” “Thank you,” she said, and she honestly meant it. # Yana waddled off the bus toward the address on the card. Her ass had finally shrunken down, but a last-minute chat with the headmaster had left her with a different shift and no proper time to really bring it back down. Her feet, normally a little on the long side anyway, had changed, going from digitigrade to leaving her plantigrade, and more than that, with huge soles that left her stomping with every step. She could feel every slap of her new longer, broader soles against the pavement, and she hissed under her breath as it forced her to waddle-shuffle along to keep from completely falling over with awkward steps. But, she was there. The morning sun glimmered over Docetri, shimmering from the east and blazing off the bay behind her. It spat oranges and reds onto the buildings that bordered the water, leaving the first few rows of houses and buildings looking like they had been set ablaze by the sunrise, and it was startlingly beautiful. Even her destination looked better than the typical factory did, though she was surprised to see that it was only one story tall. Surrounded by iron fences with concrete bases that were sunk deep into the ground, the building itself had seven smokestacks that were already burning away, a front door that looked like it was made of some sort of silvery metal rather than the typical iron or wood, and grounds that spread out much further than most factories she saw. Greener, too, now that she took a second look at it. Yana straightened out her attire. Simple jeans, a t-shirt that was casual enough to look interested while not being outrageous – though a trifle small for her breasts at the moment – and a jacket over that completed her look. She would have liked something a little less revealing than the jeans, considering they were a bit tight in the front and her dreams had reshaped her cock and sheath to be a little…bigger…but it could have been much worse than it was. She stopped at the gate and glanced down at her watch. 8:50, ten minutes earlier than she was due. Plenty of time. The dragoness looked up at the building again. It was not huge, but it was broad, spreading out north and south on the plot. One end pointed toward a secondary gate that led to a larger warehouse, while the south side led to a bulge in the ground that looked like someone had slapped one artificial tumor onto another and let it calcify into something vaguely livable. Climbing all over the rocky things were kobolds, standing between four and five feet tall, most of them with short, stubby tails and all of them with a similar yellow-eyed stare as they grinned and giggled with each other. They were naked, too, and that left her blushing as she realized that most of them had cocks that hung down to their knees, even while soft, and their sacs made them walk with a waddle that was more than she had. “Oh gosh…” “Something the matter, Miss Yana?” She turned again. Adaris was standing on the other side of the gate, and more presentable than he had been at the academy. Rather than the loincloth and chestplate, he wore a full-body jumpsuit of pure white, and one that had Enchantment-markers around the groin. She glanced down at it, then back up with her head cocked to the side. “Compression spells?” she asked. “Ah, you’ve studied?” “I know a few different marks.” “Hmm, a pity; it would have been nice to have someone to talk to about – anyway. Yes, compression. I usually like to keep it out, but when one is interviewing another, one does what one must, yes?” “Oh, I completely understand. I just, uh, I feel a little…under-prepared now.” “Hmmm, from the bloating that you’re experiencing down there, I imagine that you’re well-marinated, actually.” “I –” “Heh, come in.” He didn’t even give her a chance to get over the blush from his comment before the gates were open and he had extended his hand. Without thinking, she allowed him to take hers, and off they went. “Here at the Emporium of Excess, we take ancient alchemy recipes, mix them with a little bit of modern pharmaceuticals and various bits of Enchantment, and create potions for our patrons. The astonishing effects of each potion has been tested and measured extensively by various volunteers both inside and out of the organization, and with many different species. “However, we always start with the kobolds. We are, after all, the primary workforce for Master Engy, and that means that we are always the first to test his new ideas. And most of us are quite eager to see what happens.” “Does that mean that you grow everything that you need right here?” Yana managed to ask before Adaris could cut to another part of his spiel. “Most everything, yes. Master Engy has a series of greenhouses and other specialty growth habitats for the physical side of things.” “And for the magical?” “Ah, that is where things get interesting, but also, trade secret.” Adaris smiled at her with a cheeky shake of his head and a waggle of his finger. “I can’t just go telling you everything about how the company works, particularly when you’re not even an employee yet.” “I thought that was the whole point of this.” “The whole point of this is an interview, Yana. That is hardly a guarantee of employment.” “I’m sorry. I just –” “No apology necessary. Now, let’s continue.” As Adaris continued to wax poetic about the plants and floral parts of the business’s practices, Yana couldn’t help but try and identify some of the plants and herbs that they were passing by. Some of them were quite familiar, due to her studies of the Green with one of the professors back at the Academia Draconis, but most of them were brand new to her. She wondered just where Engy and Adaris managed to get half of these plants; some of them didn’t seem like they should even exist, particularly those – She blushed as she saw one pair of kobolds all but offering their oversized cocks to the plants on one end of the grounds. The naked males were swaying their cocks back and forth over mobile flowers, teasing them with dripping heads until the petals closed around their shafts. Her mouth dropped as she stared at the pair of them, watching as the kobolds moaned, arching their backs, thrusting their hips forward to give the flowers all the access that they wanted to their hard cocks. “Something the matter, miss?” Adaris asked. “Is that…regular?” Yana asked, cheeks burning red as she pointed at the rutting kobolds. “Hmm? Oh, that.” He chuckled. “Yes, that’s quite frequent, actually.” “Is that for…” “Feeding some of the plants. Some are crossbred with other species, and are enchanted to produce certain product that needs more of an ‘essence’ to grow. The kobolds are happy to give us that.” “You say that about your own people…” “Ma’am. I am a king of kobolds. Have you not seen my tail? My regal tail? My majestic limb? My eminent device of coiling office?” “…It’s hard to miss.” “Then you know that it marks me as their overseer and ruler. Master Engy is the only one higher than me in the company. I will ask that you refer to me with a trifle of respect, heh.” “I – yes, Mr. Adaris.” “Mmm, very good.” He nodded his head and led her to the front door of the company. She didn’t know what she expected, but when he opened the doors and exposed the inner workings, her mouth all but fell off its hinges. It was a maze of conveyor belts and dispensers that rivaled anything in a modern bottling plant, and more than that, there were kobolds in jumpsuits all over the place. Some were working the bottling machinery, others were mixing things in great vats, and still others were climbing along the machinery superstructure to repair little joints and make sure that the belts continued running at a blistering speed across the factory. But the thing that held her attention was just how…how exposed they were. She could not look at a kobold without seeing a pair of balls and a shaft that had to be at least her size, if not much, much bigger. There was not a hint of shame among them, either, even when some of them spent too much time close to this vat or another and started popping a boner. Even as the rubber suits they wore stretched out, forming skintight seals around their cocks, it was impossible to entirely look away. “Come with me. I’ll show you the whole operation, and then we can talk about what you’ll be doing.” # Once the tour was over, Adaris took her to the upper offices. She was seated on a couch while the shorter kobold dragged a chest between them. She did her best not to show off too much as she kept her fat feet planted on the floor, trying not to stare out the window at the disturbingly well-hung kobolds. “Alright, that should just about do it,” Adaris said. “Now, here’s the thing. You came here wanting to get a replacement for that headband of yours, correct?” “That’s correct.” “Properly done in a way that’s going to last, that’ll cost you…quite a bit. At least a semester’s worth of work. Do you understand?” Yana bit her lips. That was a great deal more than she had expected, even for an enchanted item of quality. She knew that they were expensive and that she had gotten a damn good deal on getting the last one, but knowing that she’d essentially have to work for free for three months… At the same time, she had to admit that having someone that really knew what they were doing make something for her was appealing. And there was still the chance of getting information for the Candlemakers about Engy and his operations. If she could manage that, if she could get enough to earn their bounty, then she would be set and then some. Three months of work here could end up paying for six months of standard employment. And it would keep them off my back for some of the other assignments… The dragoness forced herself to nod. “I understand. Hard work for good stuff.” “That’s right. Glad that we’re on the same page. Now, we’ll start with something small, something relatively simple for you to do. You’re going to be working on the supply lines coming in from outside the factory.” “Logistics?” she asked. “Not quite. More like examining the goods that come in, making sure that they’re properly prepped for the alchemists further in, and ensuring that there’s nothing that’s gone bad.” “Quality check?” “There we go. That’s what I was thinking,” Adaris said, nodding. “I have to admit, that might take me a little time to get up to speed on,” she said, rubbing the back of her neck. “I haven’t really done anything with potion-making, well, ever, and sometimes I mess up just telling whether something’s gone bad in the kitchen.” “That’s fine. We’re going to be upgrading you, anyway.” “Uh…come again?” “Upgrading you,” the kobold repeated, flicking the little catches along the front of the chest. “Just a means of keeping liability at bay. Master Engy insists that all employees of the Emporium of Excess imbibe different potions to ensure that their body is completely up to code for everything that we ask of them. Just think of it like getting all your vaccines before going on a trip, heh.” “That’s –” He flipped the chest open, and Yana was hit hard with the sudden feeling of magic in the air. She had been around a few enchanted items besides her headband, but this was something new, something different, something…very powerful. Two bottles were all that she saw in the chest, but they glowed with such power that she felt almost like little fingers were stroking across her face and down the sides of her neck just being in their presence. If this was the sort of power that the Emporium of Excess offered to its customers, she was starting to see why the Candlemakers wanted to know what was going on with them. “What…what are they?” she asked. “Simple enough things. One’s a general potion of physique: toughens you up, gives you more muscle, that sort of thing. The other’s a sensory thing, enchanted with some nasal Perception-magic.” “So, basically, it makes me have a good nose.” “Pretty much. So, in or out, Yana?” “…Well, Mr. Adaris, I think I’ll have to say in.” “That’s what I want to hear. Bottoms up. Metaphorically speaking…though maybe literally later, hm?” She blushed. Not just at his words, but having a kobold say that to a dragon – mmmph. It hit her harder than she expected. Leaning over the chest, she didn’t rest on ceremony. She grabbed hold of one of the bottles, forcing herself to adjust to the feeling of it making her hand feel vibration-numb (as if she’d been holding onto a buzzing machine for the last hour), and popped the cork. Tilting it back, she swallowed it down all at once. “Theeere you go. That’s a good little dragoness helper.” He just had to keep going there. She swallowed – “Mmmph!” And had to tilt her head to the side, covering her mouth as the potion kicked in almost immediately. She groaned under her breath, huffing as she felt the magic hit her stomach and then spread out like a rapidly-flowering plant. As the warmth of the magic spread through her body, sliding through her hips into her legs and up through her torso, she felt every muscle in her body suddenly spasm. They clenched en masse, almost like a spasm or a cramp, except – “Mmmph…” “Yeah, feels pretty good, doesn’t it?” Adaris asked, leaning on the side of the couch. “Mmm-hmmmm…” Biting back a moan, Yana rode the pleasure of the sudden throbbing, clenching, intense feeling of things growing. She had felt that many a time under either the influence of her own magic or someone else’s, but this was the first time that it was something made under a master’s guidance that did it. Thump, thump, thump went the pleasure of her magic cooperating with the potion, increasing the sudden firmness along her middle, her abs poking against her shirt, her breasts rising under the throbbing, stiffening pecs beneath them. Her arms swelled against her formerly loose sleeves, and her jeans were… Well, suffice to say that they were tight, for multiple reasons. She rolled her hips forward with a soft grown, her heavy sac pressed forward by thicker, stronger thighs, and her pants tightened further and further around a heavy rump that pulled taut, more like a bubble of muscle than anything else. Her toes curled against the floor, her breath coming harsh and fast as the heat spread through her further and further. Spasm. Clench. Spasm. Clench. She throbbed, her back popping, her head arching up, her spine extending by a full six inches as she grew bigger, taller, longer. Her pants ripped from the ankles to her knees as the thickness of her muscles tore past the resistance of her garments, and she…she… Well, she wasn’t hard; her pants were tight enough that they forced her cock to stay in its sheath from sheer constriction. But there was a definite cock-print in the front where it had tried to come out. Yana groaned as she looked up from that, the heat of the magic fading from her as the powerful spell settled on her scales. She could feel it from head to toe, the warmth and tension in far more powerful muscles, and more than that, she could feel how strong her scales were. She carefully reached down to her exposed stomach, tracing a line along them with her claws. Previously, she’d needed to be careful, but now? Now, she could scratch as much as she wanted, and the only thing that would get damaged were her own claws. “Wow…” “Impressive, hmm?” “Very. I didn’t think –” “Next potion?” Adaris asked, handing her the bottle. Without thinking, Yana downed it – “Mmmph!” And it hit just as hard, and even faster. It had barely taken a mouthful for her nose to suddenly be overwhelmed with scents. It was like someone going from a sterile room to a greenhouse, taking in every sweet, sharp, sour, bitter, earthy scent all at once and yet trying to make sense of them all. She huffed, her eyes rolling back as she covered her nose. “Heh, yeah, that happens. It’ll fade.” “Mmmmph…” “Keep breathing, Yana. Breathe. It’ll get better.” She knew that, intellectually, but it took her a full minute to go from breathing through her mouth to going back to breathing through her nose. Eventually, she managed it, though there was one smell that spiked above everything else. It was coming from Adaris, too, and the gray-scaled kobold just smiled at her when she managed to turn her attention back to him. Another breath. Another. Another. Each time she breathed in, it brought her a sense of…comfort, though that wasn’t the only thing that it did. It brought her a sense of ease, almost like being a kid in class somewhere with a good teacher. It felt like being back where she needed to be, where someone else would make sure that she would be told what she needed to do. She liked that feeling. “You good?” he asked. “Yeah…I think I’m getting there, Mr. Adaris.” “Good. Now, let’s get you out. You’ll start work officially tomorrow.” Helped to her feet by the kobold, she followed after him. They were most of the way to the front door when one of the kobolds suddenly dropped from the conveyor belts, hitting the ground and going mad. He lunged for one of the other belts, gibbering in some language unknown to Yana, and looked as if something had just snapped in his head. Before Yana could even try to reach out with her Perception-magic to see what he was thinking, Adaris stepped forward. He pulled something from behind his back, a spray bottle of some kind, and squeezed – Heat. Rut. Lust. Service. The sudden blast of powerful musk nearly knocked her to her knees, and it did force her tail up high. Her eyes closed to slits and she drooled for a moment before the natural currents of air in the factory blew the smell away from her. Even then, Yana struggled, forcing herself back from the edge and the temptation to just… Fall to your knees. Worship. Submit. Admit what you are. You belong to this. You belong under this. Fall and serve, serve and grow, serve and – “Nnngh.” Yana rubbed her nose, huffing and snorting. The smell was mostly gone by the time that Adaris turned to her, and the mad kobold looked completely catatonic. She looked down at the other male, then back at Adaris…and she kept her mouth shut. One did not live in Docetri for long before learning when to speak and when to keep quiet. “I can get to the gate on my own,” she said. “That’ll work for me. Can’t take my eyes off the rest of them for a minute.” “Yeah…yeah…” She looked down at the smaller kobold one last time – trying not to blush even worse as she saw that he was cumming his brains out inside of the jumpsuit and inflating the crotch of it like a used condom – and hustled out the front door. It was hard to run with her legs still ending in rather oversized feet, but with all those new muscles, she made a pretty grand attempt at it. Still, she would be back. She already knew that. She’d be back. The End Summary: Yana, a student of magic at the Academia Draconis in the city of Docetri, decides to go spying on an enchantment company.
