They step into the locker rooms and start to change into their swimsuits. Minora’s bathing suit is a tube top style bikini top–pink and purple in color, spotted in bubble patterns. Joust’s swimsuit is slightly more childish–a one piece with wings on the hips, white with blue highlights on it. Maribel is OK with taking off her skirt and getting into a two piece bikini, but she puts on her sweater over the top of it–this draws funny looks. Cepa is the least modist of them. Her outfit is a two piece, black in color with chain straps. Tan, as he is pulling his trunks up, looks up at Cepa and stares for a long moment admiring her shape.\nTan comments, “I forgot you were a girl.”\nCepa snickers back, “I still am a girl.”\nTan replies, “You just don’t look or act the way I would expect.”\nCepa shrugs. “You don’t really have a base for comparison. I am the only Batti that goes to Cherrywood. Who would you compare me to?”\nTan points at Joust.\nCepa giggles. “You would compare a tall, thin, powerful Batti to a Fawn?” She flicks her hair and snaps her tail. \nTan nods. \nCepa comments, “That is really not a good comparison. We are from different planets with very different atmospheres.”\nJoust looks over Cepa. “But, somehow, we are the same height. We are both bipeds and cordadts with bilaterally symmetrical skeletons. We have more in common than not.”\nTan then turns his attention to Maribel. “That sweater looks a little on the heavy side for a swimming pool.\nMaribel confirms, “It is the same sweater I am dressed in all the time.”\n“I don’t think I have ever asked; Why are you wearing that sweater?” Tan twitches his ears as he asks. \n“It makes me feel safe,” Maribel explains.\n“Safe from what?” Tan inquires.\nMaribel folds her arms, covering herself tightly, rubbing her own arms. We all live together here in Realities, and when the Nirvana finally finds a new home, we are going to need sciences that will allow us to continue to live and reproduce together.
