It seemed the whole family was here, not all the brothers and sisters and their children but a fair portion of rabbits came in from all over the tri-burroughs and despite his disposition with foxes, Gideon Gray showed up with his family because Earl, despite his behaviors, was one of the first to invest money into Gideon’s business. Early loved the apple pies baked from the tree.\n\n Nick stood with Jackson on his shoulders, his paws playfully tending to his son’s fidgets...a kiss of a bunny paw every few moments to show how much he loved his son. Perhaps he really did crack the old bastards heart in his last moments of life? Train heading to Lion’s Gate Beach

     Will sat quietly reading a paperback in a seat facing his little brother as the younger wolf went feral to scratch himself and gnaw at his toe nails....

    “Alex? That’s disgusting. Don’t do that on the train?” Will said as he pointed a paw finger. “If you’re starting to fidget kid? Talk to me. How’s Morgan?”

      Alex returned to anthro form...”She’s ok. She did something totally bizaro this morning.” Alex said. “She wore a dress.”

      “Morgan Wright? Wore a dress?” Will asked looking surprised.”
  
       “I’m taking her out to dinner tonight.” Alex said. “Have to ask Mom or Dad for money.”

       “Well this is interesting news.” Will said. “You’re taking Morgan Wright to dinner? I thought she was your bitter rival, your hated opponent there....mister...”I hate her guts.”

       “Hmph!....Shows your lack of knowledge of opposition warfare Will.” Alex snorted. “I’m taking her out just to be kind....that’s all. And to weasel any secrets out of her.”

        Will smirked at Alex. “Honestly? You are such a bull snitter Alex. You’re “bitten with the smitten” no use trying to hide it?”

       “It was a shock.” Alex replied. “She looked....so different...sounded so....different....”

       “Your tail thinks she’s different.” Will said pointing.

      “Oh bug off!” Alex yelped swiping at the outstretched paw. “You’re teasing me big brother!”

      “Didn’t I tell you that having affections for someone wasn’t a fatal flaw?” Will said smiling.

       “Oh what do you know?” Alex huffed. “I don’t see you sniffing around a female yet?”

       “I am playing my time for the right one.” Will said. “Seems though your time has come early and you look so cute for the role my sweet little puppy.”

       “Whatever dorkus.” Alex replied. “All I wanna do right now is find that green wolf cub. “Threshy” sounds like a cool name and....I dunno, the fact that he has a green fur coat has me wondering I guess?”

       Will smiled...I’m so happy that you’re so outgoing Alex, really. Compared to your older brother the nerdy gear head Philosophist wolf.”

      Alex hopped off his seat and climbed over Will to hug him. “I wouldn’t have you any way else big brother.” Alex gave Will a soft kiss and petted his tuft...”I love you.”

      Will slowly grabbed Alex by his waist and lowered him down....”Ok? Calm the “love” stuff kid....mammals are observing? You just kissed me on the lips.”

      “Well of course I did!” Alex yelped. “Isn’t it true? I love you Will. You’re the best big brother I’ll ever have and shouldn’t I show how much I love you?”

       Will flustered as he waved a paw....”But not a cub to adult kiss on the lips kido? That’s kind of weird.”

       “Oh stop complaining and take that tongue you devil!” An obviously gay fox said from another seat.

       “See! Even he agrees!” Alex yelped!

      “No assistance from the Vulpi isle needed here you!” Will said as he pointed to the fox. “But no aggression tended to you.”

     “None taken.” The fox replied as he came over to Will and Alex’s seat. “Obviously your little brother values you a lot.”

     “I value him more.” Will said as he rubbed Alex’s tuft and smiled. “I’m Will and this is Alex. I’m taking him to Lion’s Gate Beach because he’s on a quest.”

      “A fair maiden perhaps?” Jaden said as he bowed to Alex.

      “Already got one.” Alex replied. “It’s a green wolf.”

      Jaden rubbed his snoot. “A green wolf? Now that is an interesting quest? I’ve never seen a green wolf. Well? You see em after parades when they’re green after puking grass but that’s another story and all together a different grass.”

     “And where are you going?” Will asked.

     “Lion’s Gate too.” Jaden replied. “I have two days off of work and I thought beach bumming would be the way to go you know?”

    Will smiled. “Maybe we’ll bump together? You never know?”

     “Would enjoy the company trust me.” Jaden replied. “Well? I’ll leave you two to your plotings of adventure. Laters.” Jaden turned to walk away and Will sat giving him an “eye” before quickly turning to Alex....

    “He’s a nice fox.” Will said, playing off the obvious “gay-ness” of the vulpine.

    “Yeah....I guess.” Alex replied. Of course, Alex had no idea yet what “gay” was. “He kinda creep’d me a little.”

     “Foxes “creep” you all the time.” Will snorted back. “That’s another problem with your elementary school...not that many foxes. Any way, let’s just deal with your current fixation. Finding mister green cub.”

      “His name is “Threshy” Will? Not “fixation”?” Alex snorted.

      Will chuckled....”You are so easily flustered.”

Day Three
noon
Zootopia performance amphitheater

      Luis and Legoshi sat in quiet conversation in the actor’s meal tent after the battle scene rehearsal...

     “Resplendent....absolutely resplendent. I told you Legoshi?” Luis said waving a hoof hand. “Your talents are mis-placed, you never were intended to be a police officer. You are most certainly destined to be a director and stage crafter...admit it.”

     “And I told you once before my dear Sempai that being a police officer satisfies my hunter instincts and allows me to put my “inner wolf” to where it works best. I can’t do this directing and handling stuff all day long Luis, it’s too mellow an activity for me. Besides...I enjoy my work, ask Bill about it.” Legoshi said as he sat back in his chair and sipped the coffee luis brewed. “Now here is a waste of talent? Where do you get the beans for this coffee?”

       “I’m in a partnership with a fox on Small Mundy Island in the Great Eastern tropic zone. We grow three kinds of coffee bean, this one is called “Pleasurable Meadows”. Has a silky feeling doesn’t it? It’s a hybrid Arabica and Acacia bean base.”

       Legoshi savored the taste...”You are so gifted in your own rights my dear Sempai.”

      Luis reached out and took Legoshi’s paw...”Be a temp hire at least Legoshi? Please? I beg you.”

     “Where it won’t conflict with my job or my duties? I’ll help Sempai. Not like my free time is full you know? I hope to see the next performance though...I’m sure it will be a stunner.”

     “Good.” Luis said as he stood up. “We’ve rehersed enough today. I have other business to tend to this afternoon including a briefing later about this serial killer situation. Will you and Bill be on the beat tonight?”

    Legoshi nodded back. “We’ll be pulling nights for the next four days in the Trip District. I just got the text to report this afternoon so I need to get home and take a quick nap.”

    Luis couldn’t restrain himself....he hugged Legoshi before he could get out of his chair....”Thank you for your help again Legoshi. I so deeply treasure your friendship....honestly.”

    “I know Sempai.” Legoshi replied as he gently pushed Luis off of him. “Remember your reputation...don’t show “too much” emotion if you get my meaning?”

    Luis patted Legoshi’s chest. “Always the protective supporter. Thank you for coming again Legoshi and please? Be careful on the beat.”

    Legoshi saluted. “Always your devoted servant Lord Mayor.”

Day Three

     Morgan’s mother stood at the door to her daughter’s bedroom with her head cocked in canid curiosity....

     Her daughter was dancing around her room...in just panties and socks? Morgan seemed oblivious to her mother’s presence as she danced to the Bee Gee’s. Ako came walking up smiling with some laundry in her paws....

     “Ako?” Kelly asked as she pointed. “Has my daughter got mange or something?”

    “Nope!” Ako replied with a toothy grin. “She’s in love.”

    “In love?” Kelly asked. “With who?”

    “You miss everything Miss Wright...Alex Gray. She’s fallen for Alex.”

    “The wolf Alex?” Kelly replied shocked. “Her rival pitcher? A wolf?”

    Ako walked into the room and grabbed the door. “I think she wants a little privacy? You know? Girl talk? Excuse us.” The female otter said as she closed the door.

    Kelly’s lover Brittany came walking up. “What gives?”

    “My daughter? She’s in love....with a wolf.” Kelly replied.

    “That’s a kick in the head.” Brittany said smirking. “Cherish the thought that miracles can happen huh?”

     Inside the bed room....Morgan had snatched up a body pillow and started dancing with it as Ako stood shaking her head...”Are you going to mate with it too?”

    “I don’t know what to do.” Morgan replied as she dropped the pillow and shook her paws. “I’m all left paws and out of control wagging Ako! I’ll mess it all up!”

     “I’m sure Alex is just as confused as you are about what to do so you’re both in good company. Sit still and let’s pick out the clothes for the night huh?”

     Morgan played with her head tuft and tail...”Do you think I need to run to a stylist? I mean...do I look too.....too.....you know? When a girl looks too much like a boy?”

    Ako gave Morgan a light slap on her snoot...”Stop fretting or you’ll piddle on your floor? You’re going to be just fine Morgan now sit!”

    Ako pushed Morgan into a chair and looked her over. “I can do your head tuft and tail easy. The scent and make up are going to be a chore that’s for sure.”

    “You think Mom will try to stop it?” Morgan asked. “I mean? Us being a little young?”

    “You’re fidgeting again.” Ako snorted. “Cut it out Morgan or I’m gonna pull out a Sunday paper on you.”

    “Gasp”....”I can’t help it Ako! Oh gawd he’s so cute...eesh! I’m in love with a wolf? That’s the last thing I ever thought possible! I hate wolves! But?......oh gawd he’s a doll!”

      Ako stood on a chair behind Morgan and started to work on her long length hair tuft....”light slap to the head”......”I said? Stop fidgeting you silly Corgi! I think your head tuft in curls will make you so cute.”

      “Ako! Go with us?!” Morgan yelped.

    “No!” Ako replied sternly. “Stop jumping around or I’ll bite you! I’m not going to “Cyrano” you out of this Morgan.”

    “Oh boy....” Morgan said as she started to bend over...”I’m feeling faint.”

     “Breath you silly pup!” Ako said as she ran around to push Morgan back up! “Breath!”

     “I’m a mess.” Morgan yelped.

     “You’re in love.” Ako replied. “You’re not going to get rabies or die Morgan.” Ako said as she bounced back onto her chair and started working the Corgi’s head tuft again...

      “What things do I talk to him about Ako?” Morgan asked.

      “Baseball, pitching, school, hobbies....anything but his tail, stiffle and how he kisses.” The otter replied smirking. “And his teeth. If you see any tartar on his teeth? Don’t say anything dumb.”

      Morgan suddenly jumped from her chair and ran for her bathroom! “Ugh.....too late.” She sighed.

      “This? Is going to be a barrel of hyena.” Ako snickered.

      “Oh! Stop teasing me you silly otter!” Morgan cried out.

      Ako jumped off her chair. “Sorry. It’s my job under the title of friend you silly love sick Corgi you.”

Day Three
noon
Hopps family warren house

      The apple tree in the fruit orchard, that’s where old Earl wanted to be buried....he had said as much. It seemed the whole family was here, not all the brothers and sisters and their children but a fair portion of rabbits came in from all over the tri-burroughs and despite his disposition with foxes, Gideon Gray showed up with his family because Earl, despite his behaviors, was one of the first to invest money into Gideon’s business. Early loved the apple pies baked from the tree.

      Nick stood with Jackson on his shoulders, his paws playfully tending to his son’s fidgets...a kiss of a bunny paw every few moments to  show how much he loved his son. Perhaps he really did crack the old bastards heart in his last moments of life? Nick preferred to let Jackson keep his secret, only he knew if he’d done what no one else could do.

     Stu presided over the whole ceremony as he was now “Patriarch” of the Hopps Family, a role he always took with seriousness though not always sternly so...

     “Well....here we all are....most of us.” Stu started. “Who’d ever guess we’d be here to say good bye to big gramps huh? We all thought he’d just keep on going like a big old tree but I guess Prince Rabbit was tired of his Owslah being to soft. Bet you anything old Dad’s up there right now with a switch beating the butts off those slacker patrol bunnies.”

     Everyone giggled. The only fitting job for old Earl in Flahrah, the bunny heaven, was to terrorize the owslah “The peace maintainers” of Prince Rabbit’s Realm. And a “switch” would fit Gramps Earl just fine up there.

      Stu continued....”Now...we all knew how difficult Gramps Earl was. To those he slighted and hurt with his behavior...I and Bon Bon can only ask that you forgive him. Certainly our grandson led the way this morning and in that we are proud of you Jackson.”
  
     The family clapped which made Jackson sit tall on Nick’s shoulders and raise his ears in pride. He made known to everyone by patting his paws on his father’s head where he learned his traits. Not a too few of the family showed Nick their affections by rubbing his paws.

     Stu continued....”Is there anyone who wishes to say anything?” He asked.

     Gideon Gray raised a paw....”May I Stu?”

     “Gideon.” Stu replied with a paw wave to allow Gideon to step in front of the casket...

     “Now...of course? If I may be bold? Earl? You were a stubborn old bastard of a bunny and I still remember when you “tanned my tail” with a switch you old cuss. Switched it till I bled I remember that well.” Gideon said with a growl...”However? I did deserve it because I was throwin rocks at Judy and calling her a stupid dumb bunny which earned your ire. Never let it be said that old Earl didn’t stick up for his kin...and I’ll admit that I was a little fat fluffy fox bastard in my own right.”

     “You hated foxes, no doubt about that but when it came to myself? You saw that even a fox had a potential for great things. Earl was the first mammal to support my venturing into cooking and pastry. Sad to say my own father and grandfather were dead set against me being a cook, they considered that a “female thing” and as such? They didn’t back me worth a damn. But Earl did and I promised him I’d keep that a secret till he died. You broke your damn promise you old fart...you weren’t supposed to die first. But I did what you asked...I took care of the old bunny school....despite me being a flea bag dirty old Hombrah piece of filth. And a pleasingly fat one at that.”

       Everyone laughed as Gideon walked away from the casket. Nick decided to walk up and say something....

     “Good morning family.” Nick said.

     “Good morning you dirty despoiling Hombrah!” The family replied!

      Nick chuckled....”Ha ha....Earl gets in his last shot, good for you old rabbit.” Nick said as he turned to look at Earl’s casket. “Very funny Earl.” Nick said as he looked at all the rabbits around him. “Boy isn’t this a foxes worst nightmare....hmmm....I can’t bring myself to say anything bad about old Earl...though others probably feel I should unload my chambers and let the snarls fly....I can’t do that. I know Earl hated me more than Jackson or Judy and I can understand where it all came from. It’s hard to turn off old thoughts when they’re so deeply rooted. But I want all of you to know that I fursonally never harbored any hate for old Earl nor did Judy and certainly not Jackson, a father could never be more proud nor speak with deeper love for his son. I can only say now that I hope....as we all do....that old Earl will be looking down upon the family not with hate....but with love. I can’t be more simple than that.”

       Nick walked away but not before putting Jackson down by the casket so the little fox/bunny could give it a kiss. “I love you Grampy” Jackson said....which got the whole crowd of bunnies all emotional and sobbing. And so old Earl was laid to rest....and as if to send one more message?

       The tree dropped an apple on Nick’s head. “Hahahaha....you just never know when to quit you old rabbit.” Nick said as he rubbed his head.

Day Three
noon
ZPD “First Prinky” Downtown

       Judy wasn’t two steps into the main lobby when homicide Lieutenant Fritz Harry Callahan (Fritz the Cat) came walking up with a folder in his paw. “Good morning you wonderful rabbit you?” Fritz said. “Obviously Judy? You were looking to get noticed because the smell of strawberry “perm-poo” in your fur is exceptionally strong.”

      Judy chuckled...”Always first with the unashamed sexist compliments in the morning Harold.” Judy replied. Fritz hated “Harold” and he frowned at her as he handed her a bag and a coffee...

      “See if I ever go to Yogi-boo-boo for you again.” Harry said. “Guess what’s in that folder?” Harry asked.

      “You’re hopefully going to tell me good news?” Judy replied as they walked into the “bull pen” full of cops and Fleet Marines working on the serial killer case.

      “Our killer broke a piece of a blade off chopping up that lion at the gardens. Should have considered a more robust cutting tool for the job.” Firtz said as Judy opened the folder and look at the pictures and data sheets....

      “A steak knife?” She asked.

      “Not just a steak knife.” Fritz replied. “The boys at the lab say it’s one of a set of luxury knives made by Clawsons of Rain Forest District. They matched the angles and the keens of the serrated teeth to one specialty set sold on Pawzazon that was a limited edition with hand crafted handles....400 Zoo Bucks. That tells me that our killer is no street tuff or blue collar mammal...we’re talking thick upper crust.”

       Judy stood thumping her foot. “Could narrow our searching down considerably. Can you go to Clawsons?”

      “Already working on it.” Fritz replied. “Sent Tom and Jerry over there to have a look at the sales records. By the way? How’s your son?”

      “He’s with Nick in Bunny Burrough visiting my parents.” Judy replied. “My Great Grandfather passed away this morning.”

     “Old Earl?” Fritz replied. “Sorry to hear...I thought that rabbit would never die.”

     “Think I’m not shocked?” Judy replied. “By the whole family is screwed big time. They allowed Great Gramps to die without his last nip.”

     “Serious cardinal sin...depriving an old mammal of his last sip of good booze.” Fritz said snickering. “Sucks to be you all, Eternal haunting to death.”

      Judy waved a paw....”Any way? Keep me informed on all you find Fritz? We have to get ready for another drop this afternoon. It’s crazy how this bastard keep slipping away from us.”

     “Obviously thinks well ahead.” Fritz replied. “Makes sure there’s multiple ways to escape from every location he picks. Beyond this knife piece? He’s been careful not to give out too much information.” Fritz rubbed his ear....”Sorry...shouldn’t say “he” just yet. could be a female.”

     “Well we know the suspect is a “grazer” mammal. We got that much from the Marine who got slashed by the suspect.”

Day Three
1:30 am
Lion’s Gate Beach
South Savanna Central

      Alex walked up to the Life Guard he met when “Threshy” saved him from the rip tide the day before after changing into his swim trunks....

     “Hi!” Alex said. “Is “Threshy” around?” He asked.

      “Yeah.” The Life Guard replied. “He’s be in and out all morning. Last I saw him he was fishing out by the rock wall over there.”

      Alex looked out from the beach towards the water break rock wall that stretched out from the beach...”Is it ok to swim today with a board? It looks calm.”

     “It should be like this the rest of the day.” The Life Guard replied. “Just be careful. You should think of going out with that wolf.”

      Alex turned to Will. “That’s my big brother. I can take care of myself. This time my arm is better wrapped.” Alex said as he patted his shrouded arm. The wolf cub walked back to his older brother as Will lay on a towel and “spritz” himself with a watery lotion to keep his fur from drying out in the sun...

     “The life guard says “Threshy” is by the rock wall over there. Can I go over there on my board?”

     Will looked....”Just don’t go too far out. It’s not crowded here today so I think if you yell his name? He’ll probably find you.”

     Alex grabbed his board and ran into the water, flopping onto his back as he lost his ballance and dropped into the light surf....”Shake, shake, shake.....” Alex shook off the ocean chill and started to cub paddle his way towards the breaker wall on his boogy board....

     “THRESHY!” Alex called out! “HEY THRESHY! YOU AROUND?! IT’S ALEX FROM YESTERDAY! HEY!”

     Will watched Alex from the shore....”ALEX!” He screamed out! “STAY CLOSE TO THE SHORE!”

     Alex waved at his brother and floated to a stop by the break wall, finding a place to sit with the ocean lapping against his chest....

    “I don’t see him anywhere. The Life Guard said he’d be around here though....”HEY THRESHY! IT’S ALEX FROM YESTERDAY!”

    “Plook!” The green colored wolf cub popped up suddenly in front of Alex with a sea bass in his maw!

    “Woe! Uh? Hi?” Alex said waving a paw.

    Threshy threw the bass in the air and gulped it down without a stop! “Slurp! Slurp! Mmmm.....lunch! Hi Alex!”

    “Wow....” Alex replied as he rubbed his head tuft...”That was a little bizarre.”

     “How’s the arm?” Threshy asked as he swam around.

     “It’s ok.” Alex replied. “I wanted to find you because I didn’t say thanks enough for saving me...and that well? I was kinda interested in seeing you again.”

     Threshy giggled...”Same too. I liked you from the first time we met.” The wolf cub said as he flicked water at Alex. “You gonna sit around the wall or come swim?” Threshy asked.

     “I’m coming!” Alex replied as he waved to Will on the shore and pointed his paw to Threshy....”I FOUND HIM!”

     “GOOD! DON’T GET INTO TROUBLE!” Will yelped back.

     Threshy grabbed a paw and downcasted his ears a little....Alex? Um? If you knew I was.....well.....if I was a little different and weird looking? Would you still hang with me?”

     “Uh?.....yeeeah? Why?” Alex asked.

     Threshy point down....”Take a quick dip under the water and look at me and tell me what you think?”

     Alex took a deep breath...dipped under the water then came back up shaking his head!....”What the?! Uh?.....ummmmmm?.....You got a fishes tail and.....a shark fin?”

     Threshy pouted....”Knew you’d think I’m strange.”

    “NO!” Alex replied with worry. “No! No way! I’m just surprised but? How did that happen? I mean you look like a wolf up here...” Alex rubbed his chest. “I mean....I would guess having a shark tail you can swim like a torpedo...”

     Threshy opened his maw wide and showed off his row in back of row of multiple shark’s teeth...”Check this out.”

     “No wonder you can talk down big fish so quick.” Alex gasped. “What’s your nickname “Threshy”? La Machine?”

      Threshy chuckled...”My dad calls me “chomper”.

     “No snit.” Alex snickered back.

     “So?” Threshy asked. “Am I still cool?”

     “What kind of question is that?!” Alex replied with his arms out. “You’re awesome! I mean....next thing you’re gonna tell me is Dad’s a huge shark and your mom’s a wolf right?”

      “Bing-gang-go!” Threshy replied. “Things just work out don’t they? Don’t ask me what they saw in each other. The way the story goes, I thought all my dad saw was dinner.”

       Alex flopped onto his board. “So what’s the story?”

       “Oh? Mom was on a cruise ship.” Threshy said as he circled around Alex with his tail pushing him slowly...”Party, booze, she toppled over the railing and dad saw dinner.....then he saw how much of a knock out she was and he knocked her up.”

      “Sheesh...keep it a little “G” rated.” Alex said waving a paw. “How does a shark and a wolf? Never mind...ouch my brain.”

      “I know....how could it happen?! Shark.....wolf.....and out came a Wolf-Shark, Shark-Wolf, Thresh-wolf, Wolf-Thresher...somethin.” Threshy said as Alex grabbed a paw...

     “How about friend?” Alex said smiling. “I don’t care what you are.”

     Threshy started to pull Alex around...”Cool....You’re awesome Alex.”

     On the shore...Will watched as Alex played with his new friend till the sound of sand being shifted around made him turn to see the fox who’d he met earlier on the train....

      “Mind if I sit here?” Jaden asked as he spread his blanket out.

      “Not at all.” Will replied. “Just sitting here looking after my little brother.” Will replied. “By the way? How old are you?”

     “Nineteen.” Jaden replied. “Why?”

     “I’m fourteen.” Will replied.

     “I swear you look much older.” Jaden said. “Then again we foxes tend to age gracefully.”

     Will smiled. “It’s ok. I thought you were like sixteen.”

      Jaden looked out at the two giggling wolf cubs in the ocean. “I guess the light gray one is your little brother? Wow....that other wolf really is green after all.”

      “Yeah.” Will replied. “So are you in college?”

      “No. I work at a finance company downtown. I’m a “host’r” who serves the clients, you know? Bar tending and making small sandwiches to help my boss close contracts and deals. Put the “at ease” on difficult customers.”

      “Does it pay good?” Will asked. “I’m not old enough to work yet but I have a business of my own fixing car engines.”

      “Cool!” Jaden yelped. “I bike all over the place myself but my room mate who’s an otter has a car that’s an absolute dumpster fire engine wise. You know how it is? Mom and Dad throw their disaster on you and hope it falls apart with you making payments?”

       Will waved a paw. “I’ll give you my address and you can tell your room mate to pay me a visit.”

        “Sweet, sweet.” Jaden said with a smile. “I’m sure he’ll take up your offer.” Jaden played with his lips...”I swear you look older. You’re trim for a fourteen year old wolf.

       “I’m on the school track team.” Will replied. “Obviously you keep yourself looking good. Who’s your groomer?”

       “My room mate.” Jaden replied. “Andy’s very good with a groom kit. He certainly puts the shine to my “Diana”. Jaden said as he petted his fluffy fox tail.

        “I find it curious that foxes give their tails names.” Will said as he laid back on his towel.

        “We give them female names.” Jaden replied. “Even if it’s a female or a homosexual fox? The tail’s always a girl.”

        Will gave Jaden a sly look. “Are you a homosexual?”

        “What gave it away?” Jaden asked.

        “You look at me like I’m eye candy.” Will snickered.

        Jaden jumped! “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! gasp! I am really sorry.”

        “I’m only fourteen you pervert.” Will giggled.

        Jaden dropped his face into his fox paws and shivered...”I’m really sorry! Ugh.....I feel like such a sick tail hole.”

        “Well don’t kill yourself, please?” Will replied waving a paw.

        “Are you?” Jaden asked.

         “Shhhhhh.....” Will replied. “I’m sort of in the experimenting stage? I don’t want my little brother to know.”

          At the moment....Alex could give a snit less as he was being pulled through the water by “Threshy” as the shark-wolf cub used his powerful tail to cruise under the surface with a rope in his mouth....

          “WAAAHOOOOO!” Alex howled as Threshy pulled him airborne off a rolling wave and soared through the air to a spash entry that caused Alex to wipe out!

         “Cough! Cough!” Alex popped to the surface coughing and spitting water as “Threshy” swam up to hold him....

         “Got a little carried away.” “Threshy” said.

         “Hell no!” Alex replied. “Can’t wait till we do more! You are just so cool!”
  
         “You’re not dragged by me being tied to the beach are you? I can’t spend a lot of time out of water because of my shark side.” “Threshy” worried as Alex swam around him in a circle...

         “Pffft! So what?” Alex replied. “I bet we can do all kinds of things together. I’ll have to ask my parents to spot me for scuba gear or snorkel stuff.”

        “Wanna go fishing?” “Threshy” asked. “Deep sea fishing?”

        Alex looked back towards shore. “Don’t want my brother to get worried if he sees I’m not close. Let me go and tell him.”

        “Threshy” snatched a paw. “Don’t tell him about my “attachments” ok? I’m not too comfortable being too known. Probably why I have so few friends.”

         back on the beach, Jaden got up his nerve...”So? Had any experiences yet?” The fox asked Will.

        “No.” Will replied. “I don’t have the nerve to look really...my Dad would totally freak if he knew.”

        Jaden sighed....”I know the feeling. My brother absolutely abstains from talking to me...tries to avoid speaking about me...that’s why I feel sick right now.....he’s a cop.”

         Will played a paw in the beach sand...”Guess you should be careful. But why should he hate you?”

         “Well?” Jaden replied. “When I told you about being a bar tender to put clients “at ease”....I was only half truthful. In reality? You might as well call me a whore.”
  
         Will pursed his lips...”Well? I imagine it closes the deals nicely?”

          Jaden chuckled...”There’s good “fringe” to every job.”

          Just then....Alex came running up! “Hey Will? What’s zup foxy?”

         “Hi Alex.” Jaden replied cheerfully. “You were right about that green wolf cub. Is he cool?”

         “He’s awesome!” Alex replied. “Hey Will? “Threshy” and me are gonna do a little snorkel diving if that’s ok?”

          “Knock yourself crazy.” Will replied smiling. “Just be careful ok?”

       “Cool! Thanks Brother!” Alex replied. The wolf cub ran back into the water and flopped onto his boogy board...

           “So?” Jaden asked Will as he watched Alex paddle off. “You find it difficult to “engage” huh?”

           “I....don’t want anyone to know.” Will replied. “Certainly not my little brother. Don’t know.....how he would take it?”

          Jaden reached into his pocket...”Well? If you care to come over and look at my friend’s car? Not....putting anything out there but? There’s an opening if you....you know....if you gain an interest?”

        Will looked at the business card and slipped it into his shirt pocket. “I’ll look at your friend’s car...mood depending.”

       “Sweet.” Jaden said smiling. “I’ll let Andy know. See you later Will.” Jaden said as he stood up and walked off.

      “Yeah......later Jaden.” Will replied with a paw wave.
