She also supervised the collection and documentation of all the evidence gathered. Though wolves never posed a problem for Judy or Nick, the size of officer Legoshi always caused the ancient behaviors to make themselves known, such as the cowarding and cringing caused by such an enormous predator when viewed from the smallness of a rabbit or a fox...\n\n‭ “Good morning Lieutenant.” Legoshi said with a gesture towards the dumpster.       The reactions from every mammal were from‭ “‬Eh,‭ ‬ok.‭” ‬to‭ “‬what an atrocity against decency‭!” ‬Will yelped to Shenzy...‭”‬Hey Ump‭! ‬She’s got no bottoms or panties on‭! ‬She can’t be out there like that‭?! ‬At least she should wear a cup‭!”

‭      Judy and Nick pulled up in their cruiser as part of the investigations unit. Judy being a lieutenant now in the ZPD was the duty SILO who was tasked to handle the media and the potential sensitivities and difficulties involved with the family of the deceased. She also supervised the collection and documentation of all the evidence gathered. Though wolves never posed a problem for Judy or Nick, the size of officer Legoshi always caused the ancient behaviors to make themselves known, such as the cowarding and cringing caused by such an enormous predator when viewed from the smallness of a rabbit or a fox...

‭     “Good morning Lieutenant.” Legoshi said with a gesture towards the dumpster. He over looked Judy’s tendency to coward away...

‭      “I’m sorry....Officer Legoshi, I am so....so sorry.” Judy begged.

‭      “It’s natural Mam..” Legoshi said with a shrug. “No fouls. Good morning Nick.”

      “What do we have Legos‭?” ‬Nick asked as he walked with the big wolf while sipping his coffee.

‭     “We have the severed torso of what I believe is a juvenile rabbit, probably eight or nine years old. Bill and I believe the remains were chucked into this dumpster sometime last night. We have this whole alley sealed off, I’ve nose swept it for residue scent but there’s a strong odor of Chlorox bleach both on the remains and sprayed all over the alley way.” Legoshi said.

‭      Judy walked up to the dumpster and raised her arms...”Legoshi? If you would?”

      The big wolf wrapped his paws around Judy’s waist and picked her off the ground....‭”‬If you feel uncomfortable‭? ‬Let me know‭?”

      Legoshi steadied Judy on the lip of the dumpster and when she first caught her eyes on the nude torso....for a moment she felt nauseated until Legoshi rubbed her back...‭”‬It‭? ‬It never gets easier does it Lieutenant‭?”

     “No.‭ ‬Especially when it’s your species and it’s a kitten...‭” ‬Judy almost cried but quickly recovered herself....‭”‬Nick‭? ‬I need you to nose sweep this alley‭? ‬Look for the usual things that don’t belong here.‭” ‬Judy said to her husband.

‭     Nick dutifully complied by walking to the owner, Mister Adler, and began sniffing all over his body down to his feet?

     “Excuse me‭?” ‬The‭  ‬big bear asked and wondered.

‭     “Just so I can exclude you from other potential mammals of interest there Sir....”Sniff, sniff, sniff” “Aaaaaaa little heavy on the colonge this morning are we not? What is this? Essence deu Salmon Stocks?”

     “It just happens to be bear mating season and I am trying to attract a fair sow....‭” ‬Adler replied.‭ ‬Nick was soon off on his four legs sniffing over the alley ground while Judy sat on a cloth rag in the dumpster next to the remains...

‭      “You’re right Legoshi...” Judy said as she sniffed the remains. “A very strong smell of Chlorox. Bet the killer washed this before they dumped it here....you agree?” Judy asked the big wolf.

‭      “That was my exact thoughts.” Legoshi replied.

‭      “You didn’t do a DNA swab or take anything from the remains yet?” Judy asked as she climbed out of the dumpster.

‭      “We were waiting on your results. You confirm what we suspect. I’ve already scanned through our missing mammal cases and there’s only three male rabbits under the age of ten. Judging by the fur color? I’d say that could be Willy Wathgate from Deer Brook Creek in the Tri-Buroughs. He’s been missing eight months.”

      Judy looked down from the dumpster as she saw Nick sit on his behind on the ground...‭”‬Nick‭? ‬Anything‭?”

      “Different scents....and.....some fur bunny clumps‭? ‬I need an evidence baggy with tweezers please‭? ‬And we need some mammals with blue lamps‭ (‬UV lights‭) ‬to sweep this alley because there’s piss spots galore and I have two targets that are about twelve hours fresh at least.‭”

      Judy hopped down from the dumpster...‭”‬Can you identify the fur‭?”

      “I’d almost say feline,‭ ‬Carrots‭? ‬But we should turn them over to Samaliel over at the lab and let him type them.‭” ‬Nick said as he sealed his found clumps in an evidence baggy.‭ “‬Any ideas turning in that fluffy bunny skull yet‭?” ‬Nick asked his wife.

‭       “No....at least not yet.” Judy replied. “Officer Legoshi? Finish up what you’re responsible for and get back to headquarters to get a report submitted as soon as possible.”

       Legoshi saluted.‭ “‬Yes lieutenant.‭ ‬Will have it done in two hours.‭”

     “Sorry Nick....I was thinking hard about something.‭” ‬Judy said as he shook her floppy rabbit ears around her head.

‭      “Actually? I am glad I woke you Carrots because in another second or so? We would have kissed a light pole.” Nick gestured. “You always try to solve every case at light speed by yourself carrots. How about we leave the jobs that others receive from situations like this? to those who were qualified and selected to perform them?”

     Judy replied.‭ “‬Easy for you to say.‭ ‬You didn’t get to look upon the butchered torso of a poor young bunny.‭”

     “Not easy when you consider I had to sniff out evidence all over a dirty alley.‭ ‬I could get‭ “‬Hep F‭” ‬or some other sick fox affliction from that.‭ ‬Sometimes Carrots‭? ‬It’s best to have some help who might be better trained to do that line of investigation.‭”

      Judy snickered...‭”‬You are trained at it Mister Fox.‭”

      “I’m......going to re-qualify my thinking.” Nick said. “There not predatorial...They’re herbivorian.”

      Judy winced her eyes and waved a paw....”Now wait a second Nick? You said they were from a feline...”

      “I can make mistakes fluff.” Nick said as he dangled an evidence bag in his paw...”The color of the fur threw me off, I should have tried to test the course-ness of it before I dropped it in the bag but even looking at these “dust bunnies” I can tell you right now that the strands are much more dense and rigid than a cats. Hopefully....Reno can glean something from them.”

      Judy stood brooding and tapping a foot. “A herbivore involved in an illegal meat market operation? That’s a new development.”

Dale Dorse: Well here we are in the bottom of the third inning gentle-mammals who are tuned in to Zoe Zoe FM 200 radio on this wonderfully sunny and very warm day at Ferret Frolic Field for my Little League game of the week. If you’re just joining us it’s still a scoreless game and you just missed the blazing performance of the 69r’s firey female corgy phenom Morgan Wright as she smoked three Wrecker batters and I mean smoked them good! She just threw the fastest one, two, three game strike out set so far according to my records at five minutes and fifteen seconds! Wonder if her not wearing any bottoms had something to do with that performance?

     Kelly called her daughter over to the fence by the dug out...”Don’t burn your arm out that fast Morgan?”

      “Burn out?” Morgan huffed. “Sheesh Mom, I’m in my zone. That’s just a warm up!” The little Corgi female snickered as she bounced a baseball off her arm. Let’s see that......Morgan paused, having to control her feelings for Alex....Let’s see that wolf do even close.”

      Alex stood on the mound with Kimba looking at Morgan with a frown. “Hey?!” Kimba yelped. “Eyes here Alex?”

      “I’m ok.” Alex replied.

      “Don’t try to chase her tail dude?” Kimba warned. “You got a no hitter so far, let the field work for you? You don’t have to show you’re better than her.”

       Kimba pulled a lollypop from his pants pocket...”Here....Puppy Pop, do yourself a favor and concentrate on sucking that instead of looking at her. And Yeah....why you’re looking at that stuck up miniature, over rated poodle? I dunno.”

      Linus turned to Charlie, Sally’s older sister and cringed...”Please? Please tell her that I am not her sweet Baboo?! She’s a cat, I’m a sheep, we’re non compatible!”

     Charlie played a paw through Linus’s thick wool. “Then you need to shear more often. You know my sister can’t resist sleeping on your wool Linus? Hate to say it my friend? But you are doomed.”

‭Dale Dorse: Obviously Gray loved that sneaker ball he threw because he’s thumping a foot and wagging his tail like crazy! And he clamps his paws over his snoot because he almost howled...way to check that wild enthusiasm Alex! Ok....Gray calms down....checks his sign.....throws.....

‭Dale Dorse: Nice drop sneak on the outside corner! A very nice one, two three for the wreckers. We go to the top of the fourth of this zip to zip game, both pitchers doing very well...

‭     In the bleachers, Kelly passed a “Soda Pup” to Will. “On me?” She said smiling.

‭     “Thanks Mrs. Wright!” Will replied with a smile and a tail wag. “Morgan’s on fire!”

‭     “If she’s not careful?” Kelly replied. “She’ll burn out early. Your brother on the other paw is steady...must take after you?”

‭      “I’m not one to brag.” Will replied. “He listens more to me than our parents. I practically raise him.”

‭       “You certainly got your parenting skill sheet signed off.” Kelly said.

‭       Will sighed....”Mrs. Wright? Why does Morgan hate my brother so much? It’s not like Alex goes out of his way to be a bully or anything and yet she wants to bite him everywhere they run into each other? I don’t get it?”

‭      “Believe me William, I’ve tried to get Morgan to stop but she won’t open up to me. It’s all about that jacket...it doesn’t even fit her any more and she still keeps it. I’ve tried to explain to her that it’s such a little thing to make enemies over but I can tell you I’ve got my own teeth marks from her tantrums. We just have to let things run their course. Please tell Alex to bear her?”

‭       Will’s attention suddenly turned onto the field where Morgan was standing in front of Alex’s dug out as if she was challenging a fight?!

‭Dale Dorse: Oh boy...we have something going on by the Wreckers dug out between 69‘rs Pitcher Morgan Wright and some mammal on the Wrecker’s team.....

‭      Morgan snapped as she threw her arms out....”Get out here and say it to my face Rin Tin Tin! Bring it! Come on!”

‭      Alex grabbed Tiffany Dallas, the Wrecker’s Designated Hitter “No Tiffany! Don’t start!”

‭      “Let her go you stupid Wolf!” Morgan snapped. “I’ll give you “stinky pussy” you little bitch!” The angry Corgi snarled. “You want to flip your lip? Say it to my face!”

‭       “The only thing you’ll get is ejected from the field little girl if you keep it up?!” Banzai the second base umpire growled as he walked up. “As for you there little Shepherd?” Banzai snapped at Tiffany. “If I hear another derogatory flip from your yip? You are gone! Leash the lips!”

‭        Alex pushed Tiffany back onto the dug out seat. “What the heck did you say to her?!” He snapped.

‭         “That’s between female dogs....Wolves are not invited! Back off Alex!” Tiffany snapped.

‭         “I don’t need you to fight my battles you stupid drooling wolf!” Morgan snapped as she walked back to the pitcher’s mound.

‭Dale Dorse: A little bit of tension going on here as we enter the top of the fourth. Looks like a little aborted dog fighting but thankfully we’re getting back into game play...It’s top of the fourth inning, no score. Morgan wright faces Speedy Cheetah, Spinster Quil and Tiffany Dallas. Speedy comes to the plate....this young cat enjoys chasing yarn balls and climbs trees...Morgan Sets....checks her sign....throws!

‭       “FOOF!” “STRIKE ONE!” Shenzy yelped!

‭Dale Dorse: Fast ball to the inside corner! Good throw!....Morgan sets again.....here’s the pitch!

‭        “FOOF!” “STRIKE TWO!” Shenzy yelped!

‭Dale Dorse: Curve ball to the outside corner!....Morgan sets again.....here’s the pitch!

‭        “CRACK!”

‭Dale Dorse: Brush back pitch! But Speedy’s bat contacted the ball, it’s right at Morgan’s head! She’s got it and there’s the throw to first for the out! A little bit of an inch and she would have beaned Speedy in the snoot but that throw got results....

‭      Speedy walked back to the dug out and flung the bat angrily into the fence! “Coach! She did that on purpose!” He complained! “Isn’t that a foul?!”

‭       Lesser Huggins, the big male Rhino, shook his head. “She caught you fair and square Speedy. I always tell you cubs to drop the bat when that happens. If it hit the bat on the drop, you wouldn’t be out.”


‭      Speedy slouched onto the dug out bench and cursed...”hmph! Little......bowl licker.”

‭     “She got you good Speedy.” Alex said smiling.

‭     “A canine will always defend another canine won’t they?” Speedy snorted. “I thought you hated her?”

‭     “Well?” Alex replied. “You can’t help but praise talent. Let it go Speedy?”

‭Dale Dorse: Here comes Spinster Quil, this March Hair from Bunny Burroughs loves video games and carrot buns and gravy. Top of the fourth, one out...Morgan checks her sign....winds up.....the pitch!

‭        “FOOF!” “STRIKE ONE!” Shenzy yelped!

‭Dale Dorse: This Corgi is in her zone for sure...she is throwing some serious heat! Morgan checks her sign again....winds up.....fires!

‭“CRACK!”

‭Dale Dorse: There it goes! It’s a deep line drive to right field! Timmy Trount is on the chase! Going all fours! Up he jumps! Oooo! Right over the outfield low wall in a topple, all legs and hooves but did he get the catch?! YES! Trount comes up with the ball and the outfield umpire confirms a catch! What a game this is becoming today gentle mammals! Nice effort by Timmy Trount...Sally Brown the center fielder is running over to look at the antelope because he just sat on the field....he took quite a good spill over that wall....

‭       Sally knelt by Timmy as he sat rubbing his left ankle...”Are you ok?” She asked.

‭      “I think I sprained it.” Timmy replied. “Got the ball though. Didn’t have enough time to change all the way out of feral when I toppled over.”

‭      Mister Mack the 69‘rs coach walked up...”Timmy? Can you walk it off?”

‭      “No Mister Mack.” Timmy shook his head. “I screwed up. I’m sorry.”

‭     “Well you got the save son....nice effort.” The big elephant said as he picked Timmy up and threw him on his shoulders....

‭Dale Dorse: Looks like Timmy Trount is done gentle mammals. Let’s give him a big applause for a nice catch, that was a splendid catch save for the 69‘rs. We’ll take time out....this is Zoe Zoe Radio 200 FM and you are listening to the Little League game of the week.

‭Dale Dorse: Hello gentle mammals, this is Dale Dorse the Amazing Horse for Zoe Zoe FM 200 radio with our Little League game of the week! We’re at the top of the fourth inning, the game is still scoreless. One the mound for the 69‘rs is Morgan Wright the fireball throwing corgi female phenom and she’s been smoking hot this morning against her rival pitcher for the Wreckers, Alex Gray of Rain Forest District. Up now is the Wreckers designated hitter Tiffany Dallas from Downtown Zootopia City. Tiffany loves chasing rubber balls, scaling rock walls and singing howl chanting at her church. She’s a good hitter with a 450 batting average.

‭       Morgan stood patting her paws with a sticky pad while giving Tiffany a noticeable gaze of displeasure as the German Shepherd pup returned the gaze with a tooth baring...”Don’t flap your trap Cujo.” Morgan snorted as she began her wind up...

‭Dale Dorse: Here we go...Morgan throws!

‭      “FOOF!” “BALL ONE!” Shenzy yelped!

‭Dale Dorse: Ball one, low and outside. Morgan Wright’s been having a good game so far. She’s a small Corgie pup but let me tell you gentle mammals, this girl has a rocket launcher for an arm. Her fastest pitch so far has been 82 miles an hour....he’s the pitch!

‭      “FOOF!” “STRIKE ONE!” Shenzy yelped!

‭Dale Dorse: Caught Tiffany in a late swing! Nice fast ball down the pipe! One ball, One Strike, Top of the fourth...Zero game so far. Morgan checks her sign...throws....!

‭      “CRACK!”

‭Dale Dorse: Tiffany shoots a bouncing rocket back towards the mound! Morgan Wright one paws it! She’s struggling to keep her ballance! She side arm fires the ball!....

‭      “TWAP!”

‭Dale Dorse: Oh! Morgan Wright’s throw nailed Tiffany Dallas in the side of her head! The German Shepherd pup is on her knees....Oooo...that has to smart! She gets the base from that but she’s still on her knees gentle mammals....the coach and the first base umpire are running up to her...

‭Dale Dorse: And woe! Tiffany Dallas is on her feet and she’s making a run for Morgan Wright on the mound! That little shepherd is bearing her teeth! The dug outs are clearing!

‭      Tiffany came charging towards Morgan in her feral form! “YOU LITTLE BITCH!” The German Shepherd female screamed looking to sink her teeth into something! She leaped for a strike when suddenly another team mate slammed into her and sent her bouncing over the grass!

‭Dale Dorse: Alex Gray just tackled Tiffany Dallas! We have mayhem out on the field gentle mammals! The benches are cleared, the umpires are trying to break up the commotion, we have parents flying over the fences!

‭       Will grabbed Tiffany by her waist and tugged at her as she sank her teeth into Alex’s pitching arm! “STOP IT! GET YOUR TEETH OFF MY BROTHER! STOP IT!” Will snapped! He then unleashed a tooth bearing growl and snarl in Tiffany’s face! “LET HIM GO OR I’LL TEAR YOUR STUPID SNOOT OFF!”

‭       Shenzy pushed Tiffany backwards and threw her fist around....”YOU! YOU’RE EJECTED!” She screamed as Banzai and Ed worked to clear the chaos off the field...”EVERY ONE GET BACK TO THEIR SEATS AND THE DUG OUTS OR I WILL CALL THIS GAME FOR THE 69‘RS! NOW GO!”

‭      Will pulled off his T-Shirt and wrapped it over Alex’s bleeding pitching arm as the nurse came running up with her medical bag...

‭      “Damn it!” Will snapped. “She tore my little brother’s arm up! Crazy land shark!” The older wolf yelped as he comforted his crying little brother...

‭      Kelly came running up...”Does he need to go to the hospital?”

‭      “Yes.” The bunny nurse replied as she pulled out a tie wrap compress. “Those teeth went deep.”

‭      Kelly pointed to her car. “Will? Are your parents here?! I’ll take you to the hospital in my car.”

‭     “No! My Mom’s not here yet!” Will replied yelping.

‭     “It hurts Will!” Alex sobbed. “It really hurts!”

‭    “You’re gonna be ok Alex.” Will replied. “Mrs. Wright? Can we go now?”

‭     Kelly turned to her daughter....”Morgan? I have to take Alex to the hospital. Are you going to keep playing?”

‭     “Yeah.” Morgan replied. “Way to take yourself out Alex. I mean, talk about stupid bravery.”
‭  
‭      “MORGAN!” Kelly snapped. “That’s absolutely atrocious!”

‭      “It’s the truth Mom?!” Morgan snapped back. “I mean...I could have kicked her butt without “his” help! Now the game’s going to be a total bore fest.”

‭       Kelly stood up over her daughter....”Bore fest nothing! You’ll sit on the dug out seat with that attitude miss Morgan Wright! Go! You’re out of the game!”

‭       “Mom?!” Morgan snapped back!

‭       “I said go and sit! Now young Corgi! Right.....now.....sit!” Kelly snapped and held her paw point until Morgan stomped back to her dug out. “Hmph! Talk back to me and think I won’t do anything? Wait till we get home Morgan!”

‭       Kelly led Will with Alex to her car and they drove off towards the hospital.
