Especially considering the dire decisions we have before us,” Eris said, arms crossed.\n“I understand. No matter what we do, someone will end up having a very bad time,” Gida said, hands on her hips.\n“So what do we do now?” Nami asked. “It’s one thing to beat someone up. But to kill someone…”\n“Well, we haven’t had any trouble with these creatures that have been attacking us since we’ve been here,” Catilia said.\n“That’s different. Well, anyway, at least don’t worry about Alphys for now. I’ll take care of her. Later!” she said before leaving.\nThe group sat silently alone in the dump until Nami stretched.\n“Well, things turned out better than I expected,” Nami said.\n“Considering we're still in this mess, everything has gone perfectly,” Noka said.\n“Okay, if we have to come up with a plan, we’d rather do it somewhere else. But then the human's phone rang, and they heard a voice they had never heard before.\n“Chara… Are you there?”\nThat name again. The name Flowey mentioned when referring to the human. Could it be…? However, the voice is very different.\n“It’s been a long time, hasn’t it…? But you’ve done well. “What do you mean?” Nami asked as the others looked at Alphys kneeling before the Mettaton’s turned-off remains.
Alphys placed her hand on Mettaton's metallic body as she sighed heavily.
“A-among all the stories that monsters know, there is one that everyone knows without exception… I-if you want to bring the human out of the underground, you must know the story too.” Alphys said.
Eris frowned, not knowing if she could trust her again.
A long time ago, a human fell into the ruins. Injured by its fall, the human called out for help.
Asriel, the king's son, heard the human's call. He brought the human back to the castle.
Over time, Asriel and the human became like siblings. The king and queen treated the human child as their own. The underground was full of hope.
Then… One day… The human became very ill.
The sick human had only one request: to see the flowers from their village. But there was nothing we could do.
The next day… The human died.
Asriel, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's soul. He transformed into a being with incredible power.
With the human soul, Asriel crossed through the barrier. He carried the human’s body into the sunset. Back to the village of the human.
Asriel reached the center of the village. There, he found a bed of golden flowers. He carried the human onto it.
Suddenly, screams rang out. The villagers saw Asriel holding the human's body. They thought that he had killed the child.
The humans attacked him with everything they had. He was struck with blow after blow. Asriel had the power to destroy them all.
But… Asriel did not fight back. Clutching the human… Asriel smiled, and walked away.
Wounded, Asriel stumbled home. He entered the castle and collapsed, his dust spread across the garden.
The kingdom fell into despair. The king and queen had lost two children in one night. The humans had once again taken everything from us.
The king decided it was time to end our suffering. Every human who falls down here must die. With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever.
It’s not long now.
King Asgore will let us go. King Asgore will give us hope. King Asgore will save us all.
The group was silent after hearing Alphys's story.
“W-what I mean is… the only thing that can pass through the barrier… is if a monster possesses a human soul… or a human possesses the soul of a monster…” Alphys said, her head bowed. “I-if you want the human to be free… you’ll have to kill Asgore… O-only with his soul… will the human be able to leave the Underworld.”
The human looked depressed at Alphys upon learning the whole story, while Nami felt a chill run down her spine, and Eris had her eyes closed while the others looked down.
What they had just discovered was a surprise to everyone, shattering all their schemes at the time. Kill someone so the human could be free? And it couldn't be just any monster. It had to be the soul of the king of monsters. And if that story was true, Asgore was the only glimmer of hope the monsters had left.
Eris cursed to herself, now knowing what she was up against if what she had learned since being down there was true, forcing her to make a decision.
Kill Asgore to free the human, but doom the monsters? Or let Asgore use the souls to free the monsters, but doom humanity? She was raised to always make the right choice. But at first glance, neither seemed right at the time.
“I-I’m sorry for putting you in this bind… but you should know. I-I know it won’t be an easy decision,” Alphys said. “S-sorry…”
Alphys tried to move Mettaton's torso, but it seemed a bit heavy for her until she saw Eris approaching her with her gaze fixed on the scientist.
Back in the present and at the end of the memory, Alphys was still working on repairing Mettaton. She then put down the soldering iron and reached for something, but eventually had to stop looking at the robot and start looking around.
“H-hell, where did I leave the star screwdriver? I remember leaving it here a moment ago,” Alphys said as she looked around.
Then a hand approached her holding the screwdriver she was looking for, catching her attention.
“Oh, thank you so much!” Alphys exclaimed.
The human smiled as Alphys took the screwdriver from its hand.
Against all logic, Eris decided to help Alphys carry the robot back to the lab, with the human and the rest of the group following behind them. While Alphys and the human were distracted repairing Mettaton downstairs, Eris, Nami, Catilia, Gida, and Noka discussed their next move upstairs.
“I’m still amazed at what you’ve done for Alphys, despite everything that’s happened to us because of her actions,” Catilia said.
“Yeah, I needed to do something after all this. Especially considering the dire decisions we have before us,” Eris said, arms crossed.
“I understand. No matter what we do, someone will end up having a very bad time,” Gida said, hands on her hips.
“So what do we do now?” Nami asked. “It’s one thing to beat someone up. But to kill someone…”
“Well, we haven’t had any trouble with these creatures that have been attacking us since we’ve been here,” Catilia said.
“That’s different. Those things were no different from demons,” Gida said. “Those things had no mercy for anyone.”
“Yes, and yet compared to them, the inhabitants of the underground are peaceful once you know them… and know how to treat them,” Nami said.
“But that doesn't make the problem go away,” Eris said. “I'm not interested in killing anyone's king. If it were my father, I might have the idea run in mind, but Asgore? I'm not too keen on that.”
Nami thought for a moment. “What if we get some supplies around here and climb up the hole in the ruins?”
“Two problems,” Catilia said. “One: the doors to the ruins are tightly closed. And two: Do you even know how high that hole is in the ground?”
“Also, there’s the fact that what could happen next is worth mentioning. What if another human falls through the hole?” Gida asked. “Even worse, what if this Duke decides to wait for the next human from there?”
“True, and there we have other problems. We have to do something about this Duke, whoever he is,” Catilia said.
“Yeah, as if we didn’t already have problems around here,” Eris said, casting a fleeting, serious glance toward the back of the lab, startling a certain flower that had hidden itself in the ground.
“Yeah, what a mess we’ve gotten ourselves into,” Gida muttered.
While the girls were arguing, Noka decided to look through Alphys's books, until she came across some notes that she read, unable to help but let out a small laugh.
“What’s so funny?” Gida asked, looking at Noka.
“I’m sorry, teacher, but this letter just seems a little funny the way it’s written,” Noka said, holding the notes. “Guess who it’s addressed to?”
Alphys heard the conversation upstairs, stopped working on what she was doing, and ran upstairs like lightning, grabbing the papers from Noka's hand, holding it with both hands with her face flushed.
“D-don’t read it! I-it’s none of your business!” Alphys exclaimed, blushing.
The girls looked at Alphys in confusion as the human went upstairs, joining the conversation. Unfortunately, one of Alphys's papers fell to the floor, revealing something on the sheet: some poorly drawn drawings of Undyne and Alphys with a heart between them.
“You… like Undyne, right?” Nami asked, tilting her head.
Alphys continued blushing with the papers in her hand until she took a deep breath.
“W… well, I guess it’s obvious, huh?” Alphys asked. “I… uh… I really like her. I mean, more than I like other people!”
“That’s visible,” Eris said as the human picked up the paper from the floor.
“Y-you see… Undyne is the person I… um… really want to go on a date with…” Alphys said. “But, I mean, she’s way out of my league. She’s so confident… and strong… and funny… and I’m just a nobody. A fraud,” she said depressed.
“Excuse me?” Noka asked.
“I’m the royal scientist, but… all I’ve done is hurt people. I’ve told her so many lies, she thinks I’m… She thinks I’m a lot cooler than I really am,” Alphys said with regret in her voice. “If she gets close to me, she’ll… she’ll find out the truth about me.” She was silent for a moment. “What should I do?”
The group was silent for a while until the human opened his mouth.
“Tell her the truth,” the human said calmly.
“The truth…?” Alphys asked nervously. “But if I tell her that, she’ll hate me. Isn’t it better this way? To live a lie where both people are happy… Or a truth where neither of us are?”
Eris put an upper hand to her face with a groan.
“They say ‘be yourself’. But I don't really like who 'myself' is,” Alphys said, looking down at the floor. “I'd rather just be whatever makes people like me.”
“If you keep this up, this is all going to blow up in your face,” Nami said.
“No, you’re right,” Alphys said, her head down. “Every day I’m scared… Scared what will happen if people learn the truth on their own. They’ll all get hurt because of me. But how can I tell Undyne the tr… truth?” Alphys put her hands to her head. “I-I don’t have the confidence… I’m going to mess it up! How can I practice?!”
The group looked at each other in this doubt, but the human spoke again.
“Maybe with a roleplay,” the human suggested. “By pretending to go on a date as one of us plays as Undyne.”
“Yeah, a- what?!” Eris asked the human.
“R… roleplay?” Alphys asked, smiling at the moment. “… That actually sounds kind of fun! OK, which one of us will be Undyne?”
No one answered the question, but then everyone looked at Eris who looked back at them.
“Are you serious?” Eris asked.
“Honestly, you’re the one who most resembles Undyne,” Nami said. “At least in personality.”
“Sorry, but I’m not one of those who go all the time doing ‘NGAHHH’,” Eris said.
“Please, it will be fun,” Nami said. “Besides, we have nothing to do right now.”
Eris slapped her face with a groan. “The patience one must get…” Eris groaned.
“All right, let me wear something decent for the occasion!” Alphys said, smiling. “And I know the perfect place for the ‘date’!”

Soon, Alphys, wearing a black dress with white polka dots, led the group to their chosen date spot, which she said was perfect for the occasion. But…
“Are you serious?” Eris asked, her eyes twitching. “Of all the places you could choose for this parody of a date… you had to choose this place?!”
Contrary to what seemed logical, Alphys had taken the group to what could be considered the least romantic place in the underground: Waterfall’s dump.
Eris, and possibly the other girls, were wondering why Alphys would choose such a filthy place for this date, while the human was scratching its head in confusion.
“This is where Undyne and I come all the time…” Alphys began. “We find all sorts of great stuff. Heh, she’s really…”
Eris crossed her four arms with a frown, not interested in her stories.
“R-right, the date…” Alphys said, glancing away. She took a moment to breathe before continuing. “H-hi Undyne… H-how are you doing today?”
Eris sighed. “I’m fine,” she replied.
Alphys laughed for a moment. “Glad to hear it!!”
“I doubt the real Undyne would respond like that,” Catilia commented to the others.
“Well, Alphys isn’t much of an actress either,” Gida commented.
Alphys started speaking again after a silence. “Uhhh, so I’d like to, um, talk to you about something.”
“What’s wrong, Alphys?” Eris asked, trying to continue playing Undyine’s role in this pantomime of a date.
“Um, you see… I… I… I… I haven’t exactly b-been truthful w-w-with you…” Alphys said nervously. “Y… you see, I… I… Oh, forget it! Undyne!!!” She exclaimed without warning, startling everyone.
“I… I wanna tell you how I feel!” Alphys continued. “Y-you’re so brave, a-and s-strong… A-and nice… Y-you always listen t-to me when I talk about n-n-nerdy stuff… Y-you al-always d-d-do your best to m-make me f-f-feel special… L-like t-telling me th-that y-you’ll b-beat up anyone g-gets in my way…”
“UNDYNE!!! I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANY LONGER!!!” She exclaimed again without warning, backing away as things got worse. “I’M MADLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!!! HOLD ME, UNDYNE!! HOLD ME!!!”
The group was caught off guard by how Alphys had acted at that moment, especially Eris who was confused by what was happening, but then the human pointed in a direction, making everyone look there.
Where Undyne stood, in ordinary clothes, looking shocked. “WHAT did you just say?” was all she could manage after a moment of tense silence.
“U… Undyne!” Alphys exclaimed upon seeing her, backing away from her. “I… was… just…”
Eris sighed deeply, raising her four arms and shaking her head, wondering where the mood was that Alphys was showing so lately.
“Hey, whoa, wait a second!” Undyne interrupted. “Your outfit’s really cute! What’s the occasion?” She thought for a moment until an idea popped into her head. “Wait a second. Are you two… On a date?”
“EHHH, YES! I mean, EHHH NO!” Alphys exclaimed, causing Undyne to make weird faces at her response. “I mean, we were, but- I mean, actually we were only romantically roleplaying as you!”
“WHAT???” Undyne asked in shock.
Eris began to back away, not wanting to get into the argument.
“I MEAN!!!” Alphys exclaimed, nervous. “I mean… Undyne… I… I’ve been lying to you!” She said without warning.
“WHAT??? ABOUT WHAT???” Undyne asked.
“About… well…” Alphys began. “Everything!”
Alphys started to walk over to Undyne. “I told you that seaweed was like… scientifically important… Actually, I just… I just use it to make ice cream! And those human history books I keep reading… Those are just dorky comic books! And the history movies… those… Those are just, uh, anime! They aren’t real! And that time I told you that I was busy with work on the phone… I… Was just eating frozen yogurt in my pajamas! And time I…”
“Alphys,” Undyne said, interrupting her when she was already very close to her.
“I… I just wanted to impress you!” Alphys continued, her eyes cast downwards. “I just wanted you to think I was smart and cool. That I wasn’t some… nerdy loser.”
“Alphys,” Undyne said, rubbing her hand on Alphys’s head.
“Undyne, I… I think you’re neat, OK…” Alphys continued speaking.
“Alphys. Shhhh.” Undyne said as she knelt and hugged her calmly.
The group just stared at the two of them as they talked.
But without warning, Undyne lifted Alphys with both arms and threw her through the air, landing inside a trash can that closed itself, but not before passing through the hoop of a basketball hoop just above. The group was surprised not only by what happened but by the maneuver itself. Even the human held up a sign with a 10 on it.
“Alphys!” Undyne started. “I… I think you’re neat, too, I guess. But, you’ve gotta realize… Most of what you said really doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care if you’re watching kid’s cartoons or reading history books. To me, ALL of that stuff is just NERDY CRAP! What I like about you is that you’re PASSIONATE! You’re ANALYTICAL!! It doesn’t matter what it is! YOU CARE ABOUT IT!! 100-PERCENT!! AT MAXIMUM POWER!!!” Undyne said at the top of her lungs until she calmed down. “...so, you don’t have to lie to me. I don’t want you to have to lie to anyone else. Alphys… I want to help you be happy with who you are! And I know just the training you need to do that!”
Somehow, Alphys managed to get her feet out from under the trash can and her tail out from behind it, as she lifted the lid to see. “Undyne… You… Y-you’re gonna train me?” she asked, blushing, from inside the can.
“Pffft, what? ME?” Undyne asked sarcastically.
“If you’re not going to do it, then who will?” Catilia asked.
At that moment Papyrus appeared from behind the trash wearing a sports 'uniform'.
“Nah, I’m gonna get to Papyrus to do it,” Undyne said.
Both Alphys from inside the cube and the others, except the human, deadpanned at the revelation.
Papyrus jumped out of the trash, landing near Alphys.
“GET THOSE BONES SHAKIN!!! IT’S TIME TO JOG 100 LAPS, HOOTING ABOUT HOW GREAT WE ARE!!!” Papyrus exclaimed.
“Ready? I’m about to start the timer!” Undyne said, holding a stopwatch.
“U-Undyne…” Alphys said from inside the cube. “I’ll do my best…”
At that moment they both started running, while the group watched them walk away.
“Well, there they go,” Eris said, crossing her four arms, while Nami nodded.
“OH MY GOD!!!” Undyne suddenly exclaimed, startling Eris.
“Now what?!” asked the hell beast.
“She was kidding, right?!” Undyne asked. “Those cartoons… those comics… Those are still REAL, right?! ANIME’S REAL, RIGHT?!?!” She asked with the most nervous smile she’d ever put on.
Except for the human, all the girls collapsed to the ground in shock with their eyes momentarily closed.
“Do we have to answer that question?!” Eris exclaimed angrily as she stood up.
Then Undyne started to think for a moment. “Hey, weren’t you supposed to be at Asgore’s castle by now?”
“Yeah, Alphys told us the story about the king’s late son and the barrier, so we’re considering possible alternatives,” Gida said.
“Yeah, I don’t think it’s okay for everyone to kill the king so the human can get out, or to let the human die and the king attack the humans,” Nami said as Eris nodded.
“Ah, I see…” Undyne said. “It’s pretty bad. Well, anyway, at least don’t worry about Alphys for now. I’ll take care of her. Later!” she said before leaving.
The group sat silently alone in the dump until Nami stretched.
“Well, things turned out better than I expected,” Nami said.
“Considering we're still in this mess, everything has gone perfectly,” Noka said.
“Okay, if we have to come up with a plan, we’d rather do it somewhere else. The smell of this place is sticking to me!” Eris said, starting to walk.
The group began walking through the dump until the human's phone started ringing. It picked it up and began listening to who was speaking, hanging up after a while.
“Who was it?” Nami asked.
“It was Papyrus,” the human said. “He said he finished training with Alphys and sent her home. And he suggested we go there as well.” The group looked at each other for a moment. “He sounded a little worried when he suggested it.”
“I have a bad feeling about this,” Gida said to the others.

The group returned to Alphys's lab, but there seemed to be no sign of her anywhere. Not even Mettaton, who seemed to be active again, knew where she'd gone. And there was no sign that anyone had taken her by force or anything like that.
“Where the hell has she gone?” Noka asked hands on her hips.
“She’s nowhere to be seen,” Catilia said.
The human then looked at the ground and found a note, which he picked up with his hand and read carefully.
“Hey, here!” the human exclaimed.
They all approached the human, and Eris, seeing the note in his hand, took it.
“It’s clearly a note from Alphys…” Eris said, recognizing the handwriting and how difficult it was to read.
“Hey. Thanks for your help back there. You guys… Your support really means a lot to me. But… As difficult as it is to say this… You guys alone can’t magically make my own problems go away. I want to be a better person. I don’t want to be afraid anymore. And for that to happen, I have to be able to face my own mistakes. I’m going to start doing that now. I want to be clear. This isn’t anyone else’s problem but mine. But if you don’t ever hear from me again… If you want to know ‘the truth,’ enter the door to the north of this note. You all at least deserve to know what I did…”
After reading the note, everyone turned their gaze toward the nearest door, which was wide open.
“Alphys may be more than just a mere geek,” Gida said.
“If so, what is this 'truth' she mentions?” Nami asked.
“There’s only one way to find out,” Eris said, dropping the note on the floor.
The group cautiously went through the door, but upon entering, they found themselves inside an elevator.
“An elevator? That’s weird.” Noka asked.
“Why would Alphys hide this like it’s a washroom?” Catilia asked.
“The question here is, where will this elevator lead?” Eris asked.
The human pressed the only button there seemed to be. The doors closed, and the elevator began to descend without any problems until it suddenly stopped.
“So what now?” Catilia asked, looking around.
“I have a bad feeling…” Gida said, glancing sideways.
Without warning, the elevator alarm began to sound as it began to fall out of control, landing forcefully at the bottom with the light going out.
For several seconds there was a deathly silence in the dark elevator until a voice was heard.
“All right, who’s not dead? Sound off,” Eris said in the darkness.
They all started to moan and complain of pain from the fall and the impact of the elevator, including the human.
“What the heck just happened?” Nami asked.
“I think the power in this elevator has gone out,” Noka replied.
“Well, then. And where are we now?” Catilia asked.
“Well, trapped in the elevator. Where do you think?” Nami asked.
At that moment the elevator door opened, letting in a faint light from the other side.
“Not quite…” Eris said.
Cautiously, the group left the elevator, finding themselves in a place that apparently hadn't been visited by anyone in a long time, as could be seen by the layers of dust all over the place.
“What place is this?” Eris asked.
The group advanced down the hallway before them, keeping their guard up. As they advanced, they noticed that the place looked like some kind of medical center or something similar, as they found themselves in what appeared to be a waiting room that hadn't been used in a long time.
The group continued advancing and investigating the area until they found an old note on the floor. It was barely legible, but it seemed to indicate that if the elevator lost power, they should go to the room behind the door in the center.
Eris tried to force the door open, but Gida had to stop her before she could destroy it, making it clear that they couldn't just open it. Upon closer inspection, they noticed that the door seemed to have colored sensors that were turned off.
“Okay, if we have to turn on those sensors, we have to find what’s turning them on,” Nami said.
“Well, let’s start looking. This place is giving me the creeps,” Noka said, rubbing her arms.
“You’re not the only one who suffers from them,” Gida said.
The group began walking down the only route they could continue. It didn't take long for them to reach a room with several stretchers lined up in a row, which seemed odd in that location. After a bit of searching, the group found in an adjacent room what looked like a light switch with a keyhole in the center, but no key in sight. But another note they found on the floor gave them a clue as to where this supposed key might be, which seemed to be inside the sinkhole. Eris thought to herself about the stupidity of hiding something in the sinkhole.
The girls began turning on the faucets in the previous room, hoping to find the one that contained the key, but without much luck. When the human turned on the last faucet, no water came out of its spout, but a strange white liquid which began to accumulate in the sink until it overflowed, forming a strange smiley face.
“What the hell is this?” Eris asked, raising an eyebrow.
At first, it did nothing, but suddenly the creature grew out of sudden, taking on a grotesque form with many faces, incapable of assuming a concrete appearance.
Gida and Noka stood in front of the amorphous creature and instinctively used their lightsabers to try to push the creature back, but for some reason, their weapons simply passed through them harmlessly.
The creature made a strange sound through its multiple mouths that deafened the group, just before attempting to surprise them with ethereal blasts. Fortunately, the group was able to avoid them, but they were powerless against the creature.
“Any ideas?” Eris asked, yanking one of the stretchers out and throwing it at the creature. But the maneuver didn’t seem to cause any damage to the thing.
“I don’t know! That thing seems invulnerable to everything!” Gida exclaimed, trying to cut it with her weapon.
The creatures made strange sounds again, but the human noticed something on the phone, and as soon as he picked it up, he began to hear voices through it.
“Come join the fun.” “It’s a real get-together.” “Become one of us!” was the constant echo from the phone as the strange creature attacked them constantly.
“Oh, come on! Either talk or fight! But not both at once!” Eris exclaimed, avoiding the creature’s sinister attack.
Then the human approached the creature with its hands raised. “I know you want to hang out, but we can’t right now. We’re a little busy. You understand, right?”
After a moment, the phone went “Oh well” and the creature vanished without a trace.
The group stared at the place where the strange amalgam was for a moment until Eris raised her four arms.
“What the heck just happened?” Eris asked loudly.
“I have no idea,” Catilia said, scratching her head.
The human approached the bathroom, took a red key from there, and showed it to the group. With questions in mind, the group returned to the switch, and upon using the key, it turned on. With this done, they returned to the blocked room, seeing that they could now cross a closed door, allowing the group to continue, but this time they were more careful in the next room, which was full of beds.
At that moment Nami had the group stop.
“Does anyone want to address the elephant in the room?” Nami asked as everyone looked at her.
“It’s true, something strange is clearly going on here,” Gida said, thinking for a moment before looking at Noka. “Try to find the file and find out everything you can about this place.”
“Okay, master.” Noka nodded before running away from the group.
“What got into your head?” Eris asked.
“To begin with, this place is right under Alphys’s lab. It doesn’t look like it’s been used in years, and to top it all off, there’s that thing from before,” Gida said. “What’s more, I’m sure there’s more of those things all over the place.”
“You say that this it’s like a secret lab or something,” Nami said.
“It is it,” Gida said. “I don’t know why exactly, but for Alphys, this place is her Pandora’s Box. Something very big has happened here, and these creatures are proof of that.”
“But while your apprentice looks for those files, what do we do?” Catilia asked.
The group then noticed the human looking under the covers of some beds, soon finding a yellow key in one of them.
“Well, find those keys and try to open that door,” Gida suggested.

“I bet we can guess now,” Eris said. “Everything went terribly wrong in the end.”
“You’re right,” Noka said. “All the monsters exposed to the experiments began to lose stability in their bodies, starting to melt. Apparently, monsters aren’t able to maintain ‘determination’ like humans, which has caused most of them to fuse with each other.”
“Are you saying the creatures we faced were fusions of monsters?” Gida asked.

“If people found out about that and how he treated her, it would probably cause a revolt against him,” Gida said.
“Yes, it seems that Alphys secretly gathered enough evidence to end the Duke’s influence, but I suppose she never dared to use it,” Noka said.
“Okay, see if you can find anything else in those reports,” Gida said, ending the conversation.
“And I was already hating the Duke,” Eris said.
“First things first. We need to find Alphys, or at least try to get that elevator working,” Gida said.
“Whatever you say, blue tiger,” Eris said, starting to walk.

The group returned to the room, which was originally covered in fog, and noticed it was filled with coolers, likely filled to store any samples they had taken. Clearly, upon searching, each cooler was either empty or had some strange sample inside.
But to their surprise, one of the refrigerators turned white, transforming into another amalgam. But unlike the other amalgams, this creature seemed slower, and seemingly depressed.
The group saw that the amalgamator was holding a blue key. But how could they get it away if nothing worked against those things?
The human thought for a moment and told a joke to the amalgam.

The amalgam began to react to the joke as if it was funny.

Eris looked at him with a raised eyebrow at how bad the joke was, although the amalgam reacted to the joke again.

“Noka, can you hear me?” Gida called through the communicator. “The door appears to be an elevator, but it seems to have lost power too,” Gida said, directing her gaze to another elevator exit. “Let’s see if we can find the main generator to power it up. Get here as soon as possible.”

“Come on, let’s get this going and get out of here,” Eris said, turning on the generator.

But then she paused for a moment. “By the way, the elevator in the center should take you to New Home, where Asgore lives. If you run into the Duke up there, well… don’t let him get away, okay?”
After those words, she and the amalgams left the room.
The group fell silent as Noka joined them.
“By the skin of our teeth,” Gida said.
“I know, master. But at least we can get out of here,” Noka said.

“By the way, I found something interesting,” Noka said. “Apparently, the amalgams weren’t the only result of Alphys’s experiments. It also seems she experimented on one of the flowers that sprouted after the prince’s… death.”
The group paused, pondering this revelation for a moment. Gida was intrigued, but the others didn't.
“Hey, are you implying that the flower you’re talking about is the same flower that’s been hanging around us all the time?” Eris asked.
“Oh, come on!” Gida exclaimed, seeing the lack of reaction from Eris and her sisters. “How many flowers have you seen that can talk?”
Eris turned to Gida and Noka. “You’ve never seen an Alraune, have you?”
Noka and Gida looked at each other at the question, shrugging their shoulders, not knowing how to respond to that.
The group returned to the elevator they had discovered, and with everything done, they prepared for the button that would take them upstairs, out of that gloomy place. But then the human's phone rang, and they heard a voice they had never heard before.
“Chara… Are you there?”
That name again. The name Flowey mentioned when referring to the human. Could it be…? However, the voice is very different.
“It’s been a long time, hasn’t it…? But you’ve done well. Thanks to you, everything has finally fallen into place.”
“Into place?” Eris asked. “What do you mean?”
“Chara… See you soon.”
After the call was hung up, the elevator doors closed automatically, and the elevator began to rise abruptly, not a pleasant ride for those inside.
