Sure, we had each other, but things didn't quite feel the same...especially for Charlene. The two of us had gotten used to having Valerie around, with me often in the middle of the two vixens as they cuddled up against my body. Now, it was back to just Charlene and I sharing the bed together, and while I still loved cuddling and having sex with her, I often wished that Valerie was around to make us feel whole again.\n\nWe did get to communicate with Valerie, though. A few days after she got back to Yokai City she sent us her old intergalactic cell phone so that we could talk to her. In addition to this, I got mail from Valerie a couple of times during the month of August as our pup grew within her uterus. Included with the letters were pictures of her naked to keep us \"thinking about her\" and to show off her growing 'baby bump'. In one of the letters, Valerie told me that the doctors explained that she could end up giving birth to our pup on October 10, which was a significant day in Yokai City. October 10 was known as Kitsune Day. It was the day when the first Kitsune arrived on Kapernia and founded Yokai City. Valerie's father was amongst the first kitsune to settle in the area.\n\nFor Valerie, getting to have her pup born on Kitsune day would be a welcome treat, especially since she would be giving life to the grandchild of one of the city's original residents. For me, I felt a little bit down when I saw those pregnant pictures of her. Although I was happy that she was carrying our pup, I wanted to be there with Valerie, to help raise our pup from birth, just like a responsible father would. Unfortunately, there was little I could do about it now. Valerie had to run the Sakura House with Eva and I had schoolwork to do. I only hoped that I could at least get to see Valerie before our pup was born.\n\nBy the end of August, the new school year began for me, which Charlene going back to school about a week later. For both of us, it was the final year in college. By the time next spring came around, I would have a degree in accounting and Charlene would finish her nursing courses and internship. However, we still had one more school year to get through before we'd be done with it forever.\n\nAt the start of September, when I got home from college in the afternoon, I stopped by the \"mailbox\" and picked up the mail, noticing another letter from Valerie inside. It was in a larger-than-normal envelope and seemed a bit heavy. Valerie had promised to send us money to pay our expenses before she left, since we were practically her mates and she knew we weren't quite ready to fend for ourselves completely. I figured that this was some of the money she promised to send us. As such, I kept the envelope close to me and waited until that evening when Charlene got home from her internship. I wanted her to be around to see what Valerie had for us this time.\n\nWhen Charlene came home that evening, the two of us had dinner together, consisting of the fried chicken that Charlene brought home with her along with corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and biscuits. Then, once we were done eating, I presented the letter that Valerie sent us and opened it to see what was inside. Sure enough, there was about $2,000 inside the envelope, enough to cover the rent for the month, the bills, and some of our day-to-day living expenses. However, there was more inside aside from the cash. As I looked inside, I found that there were two first-class tickets from the Twin Cities Spaceport to the McComb Spaceport on West Island, scheduled for October 1.\n\nWhen Charlene saw the tickets, she became very curious as to why she'd send us tickets to McComb. However, I had a good idea why she did so. Valerie wanted us to be there when she gave birth to our pup, and it even mentioned this in the letter we received.\n\n\"Chad...Charlene...I cannot even begin to describe how often I think about you two. I know that you're probably doing a good job taking care of each other, but I miss being with you terribly\", Valerie's note started as I read it out loud to my sister. \"In addition, I can feel the son that Chad gave to me moving around inside my belly, kicking me quite a bit in there, as if he's saying that he wants to see his daddy. That is why I've enclosed a couple of tickets for you two to come out to Yokai City next month, so you can be here when I give birth and spend a little bit of time with me\", the note continued as I noticed Charlene's tails begin to coil together a bit. \"I really want to see the two of you again, so let me know if you're able to visit. XOXOXO, Valerie\", the note concluded as Charlene and I turned to each other and started discussing this.\n\nI felt like I needed to go to Yokai City. Valerie was pregnant with my son and I needed to be by her side as he entered the world. It would mean I'd have to miss out on school for a couple of weeks, at least until after the birth, but it needed to be done. As for Charlene, she had a much different problem. \"I don't know if I can do that. I mean, how am I going to explain to my supervisor that I need to take a couple weeks off for the birth of a child that isn't even mine?\", Charlene commented.\n\nI could see what she was getting at. Even though the law allowed Charlene to take time off for family leave, we thought that she could only do so if she were the one who was pregnant. It would be easier for me, since I was the father of Valerie's pup, but I wasn't sure if Charlene could come along. \"Well, maybe you could try asking anyway, Sis. I know you want to see Valerie again and I'm sure she considers you a part of her family\", I mentioned, knowing that Valerie would be disappointed if Charlene couldn't come along...as well as knowing Charlene would be all alone in Minneapolis if she had to stay behind, and I knew she would hate that.\n\nCharlene took one of my hands and nuzzled me gently. \"Alright, I'll give it a try. I only hope that they'll understand\", Charlene mentioned before she gripped my hand a bit tighter and murred. \"Of course, if you wanted to put a pup inside MY uterus, it would make it a lot easier to get family leave!\", Charlene added in a playful manner.\n\nI could tell that Charlene was partially joking about that. She might have wanted to have pups with me, but she knew she wasn't ready for motherhood. Plus, there would be other problems associated with any pregnancy between the two of us, and not just involving our mom either. \"Charlene, if you and I made pups together now, we could end up going to jail over doing so...even though I don't see what could be so bad about the two of us having sex together. It's not like one of us is forcing it on the other. We do it because we enjoy doing it and because we love each other\", I answered back as Charlene sighed and then grumbled.\n\n\"Sometimes laws can be so stupid! Why isn't it OK to make love to the one I've spent my entire life with?\", Charlene answered back as I nuzzled her and kissed the side of her face.\n\n\"Well, at least on Kapernia we don't have to worry about that...and I promise you that we'll move there as soon as possible\", I told my sister sweetly, holding her hand tightly. \"Then, you and I can have sex as much as we want and not have to worry about keeping it between us\", I added as Charlene murred even more and coiled one of her tails around one of mine.\n\n\"Mmm...speaking of sex, do you want to do it?\", Charlene asked curiously, seeming to be sexually aroused as we started talking about mating.\n\nI looked into Charlene's blue eyes and touched her cheek with my other hand. \"I don't know...you're not really receptive right now, are you?\", I asked, thinking that Charlene's comment about getting pregnant was a hint that she was fertile.\n\nCharlene soon sighed and shook her head. \"I kind of wish that I could be. However, in Yokai City, it was still warm, with days in the 80's and nights in the 50's and 60's...basically weather that we'd be having around these parts in August.\n\nLike the last time Charlene and I flew out to Kapernia, Valerie booked us a private cabin, one where we could be intimate with each other (within reason, of course). We liked the idea of having a cabin to ourselves, especially after the experience we had the last time we flew out to Kapernia with Valerie. As we waited by the gate, I started to wonder what my son would be like when he came into the world. From what Valerie had told me and shown me from an ultrasound picture, all I knew thus far was that she was having a male vulpix pup. Naturally, I wondered if he would take after me back when I had a vulpix form, or if he'd look more like his mother. Nonetheless, I was excited to see Valerie again and get to meet our little one as soon as he arrived. It was announced that it was 90 degrees in McComb, making it feel more like July, so we needed to dress for the weather. I assumed it was going to be Valerie since that was who we were here to see, but it could've been someone else.\n\nCharlene and I walked over to the meeting area near where the check-in and ticket counters were and noticed someone familiar. It wasn't Valerie who was meeting us at the spaceport, it was Eva. She immediately recognized us and ran over, taking us both in her arms. \"Chad...Charlene! It's good to see you two again!\", Eva gleefully announced before kissing both of us on the cheek, making me blush a little when I felt my little sister kiss me in public.\n\nCharlene nuzzled Eva gently before I did the same, showing some affection for our younger sister before I got to business. \"Hey Eva...where's Valerie? I thought she would be here to meet us when we arrived\", I asked curiously, not noticing a pregnant female ninetales around. I did see a female vulpix, but she was not pregnant and was with who I assumed was her ninetales husband from the way they walked hand-in-hand from the meeting area.\n\n\"Valerie is back in Yokai City, taking care of some business with The Sakura House. She asked me to come pick you up and bring you home\", Eva explained. Her comment made some sense to me. After all, Valerie was the owner of The Sakura House now that her father was gone. Nevertheless, I wanted to see Valerie and I was eager to get to Yokai City, so I can be with her again.\n\n\"Eva, do you think that we could get on the road to Yokai City now? I miss Valerie and I'm sure Charlene does as well\", I asked calmly as Eva murred and embraced the two of us some more.\n\n\"Of course we can...that's what Val asked me to do!\", Eva exclaimed cheerfully before the three of us made our way out of the spaceport and into the \"Green\" Parking Garage, where Eva had left the car. The spaceport had three parking garages in total (Red, Blue, and Green). Along the way to the parking garage, Eva had something else she wanted to mention. \"By the way, do you think that I could have a chance to spend some alone time with my big brother and sister while you're here?\", Eva suggested.\n\nWe both knew what Eva meant by this and I was the first one to answer her. \"I think that can be arranged...but not until I've had a chance to see Valerie again, OK?\", I explained calmly before kissing my little sister on her nose. Charlene went even further with Eva, kissing her on the lips.\n\n\"I'll spend time with you while Chad is busy with Valerie\", Charlene assured Eva as our little sister murred softly to the idea of having relations with both of us again. However, it would have to wait until we were in Yokai City, so the three of us got into the car, with Charlene and I getting into the back seat together and Eva getting into the driver's seat. Soon afterward, we were on UIC Highway 5 on the way North from McComb towards Yokai City. It was about a 3-hour drive down the highway, before we reached what was known as \"Takai Yama Road\". We could've continued down UIC Highway 5, which would take us around the Takai Yama mountains and into the heart of Yokai City, but since the Sakura House was located on Takai Yama Road, Eva exited the highway and continued down the lesser traveled road.\n\nAs we got closer to Yokai City, Charlene and I started to notice the scenery around us. We started to enter a forest made up entirely of Sakura Blossom Trees and crossed a bridge over the Yuki River along the way. Then, we got to the mountains, making our way through the Takai Yama Pass, which was about 4,000 feet above sea level. The mountains did not have any snow on them yet, it wasn't cold enough for snow to begin falling, but it wouldn't be too much longer before it started.\n\nSoon after going through the Takai Yama Pass, we ended up in the foothills on the way down towards the outskirts of Yokai City. Then, once we reached Miyamoto Road, we started to get into the city itself, with houses down Miyamoto Road in the recently developed part of the city. A bit further down was the Sakura Blossom forest that surrounded the Sakura House and the home of Valerie and Eva. We soon turned down the driveway that led to the owner's mansion and stopped right in front of the main entry way. Once we stopped, Eva turned towards me and had something to mention.\n\n\"Valerie is probably still in the manager's office going over this month's room and boarding fees for all the Sakura House residents. You can go see her there, but I'd recommend knocking on the door first if she has it closed\", Eva explained.\n\nFollowing my sister's advice, I made my way to the office down the main hallway. I knew where it was because I had spoken to Valerie's father there when we came to Yokai City the first time. The office itself was behind two solid wooden doors with brass door handles and a knocker on one of them. There was a sign on the other door that said, \"please knock before entering\", indicating that Valerie was busy, but not busy enough that she wouldn't be willing to see visitors.\n\nCuriously, I reached for the knocker and knocked on the door a few times, waiting to see what would happen. Next to the door, an intercom system was attached, linked to the inside of the office. Return To Yokai City (Part 1)

For Valerie, getting to have her pup born on Kitsune day would be a welcome treat, especially since she would be giving life to the grandchild of one of the city's original residents.  For me, I felt a little bit down when I saw those pregnant pictures of her.  Although I was happy that she was carrying our pup, I wanted to be there with Valerie, to help raise our pup from birth, just like a responsible father would.  Unfortunately, there was little I could do about it now.  Valerie had to run the Sakura House with Eva and I had schoolwork to do.  I only hoped that I could at least get to see Valerie before our pup was born.

By the end of August, the new school year began for me, which Charlene going back to school about a week later.  For both of us, it was the final year in college.  By the time next spring came around, I would have a degree in accounting and Charlene would finish her nursing courses and internship.  However, we still had one more school year to get through before we'd be done with it forever.

At the start of September, when I got home from college in the afternoon, I stopped by the "mailbox" and picked up the mail, noticing another letter from Valerie inside.  It was in a larger-than-normal envelope and seemed a bit heavy.  Valerie had promised to send us money to pay our expenses before she left, since we were practically her mates and she knew we weren't quite ready to fend for ourselves completely.  I figured that this was some of the money she promised to send us.  As such, I kept the envelope close to me and waited until that evening when Charlene got home from her internship.  I wanted her to be around to see what Valerie had for us this time.

When Charlene came home that evening, the two of us had dinner together, consisting of the fried chicken that Charlene brought home with her along with corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and biscuits.  Then, once we were done eating, I presented the letter that Valerie sent us and opened it to see what was inside.  Sure enough, there was about $2,000 inside the envelope, enough to cover the rent for the month, the bills, and some of our day-to-day living expenses.  However, there was more inside aside from the cash.  As I looked inside, I found that there were two first-class tickets from the Twin Cities Spaceport to the McComb Spaceport on West Island, scheduled for October 1.

When Charlene saw the tickets, she became very curious as to why she'd send us tickets to McComb.  However, I had a good idea why she did so.  Valerie wanted us to be there when she gave birth to our pup, and it even mentioned this in the letter we received.

"Chad...Charlene...I cannot even begin to describe how often I think about you two.  I know that you're probably doing a good job taking care of each other, but I miss being with you terribly", Valerie's note started as I read it out loud to my sister.  "In addition, I can feel the son that Chad gave to me moving around inside my belly, kicking me quite a bit in there, as if he's saying that he wants to see his daddy.  That is why I've enclosed a couple of tickets for you two to come out to Yokai City next month, so you can be here when I give birth and spend a little bit of time with me", the note continued as I noticed Charlene's tails begin to coil together a bit.  "I really want to see the two of you again, so let me know if you're able to visit.  XOXOXO, Valerie", the note concluded as Charlene and I turned to each other and started discussing this.

I felt like I needed to go to Yokai City.  Valerie was pregnant with my son and I needed to be by her side as he entered the world.  It would mean I'd have to miss out on school for a couple of weeks, at least until after the birth, but it needed to be done.  As for Charlene, she had a much different problem.  "I don't know if I can do that.  I mean, how am I going to explain to my supervisor that I need to take a couple weeks off for the birth of a child that isn't even mine?", Charlene commented.

I could see what she was getting at.  Even though the law allowed Charlene to take time off for family leave, we thought that she could only do so if she were the one who was pregnant.  It would be easier for me, since I was the father of Valerie's pup, but I wasn't sure if Charlene could come along.  "Well, maybe you could try asking anyway, Sis.  I know you want to see Valerie again and I'm sure she considers you a part of her family", I mentioned, knowing that Valerie would be disappointed if Charlene couldn't come along...as well as knowing Charlene would be all alone in Minneapolis if she had to stay behind, and I knew she would hate that.

I could tell that Charlene was partially joking about that.  She might have wanted to have pups with me, but she knew she wasn't ready for motherhood.  Plus, there would be other problems associated with any pregnancy between the two of us, and not just involving our mom either.  "Charlene, if you and I made pups together now, we could end up going to jail over doing so...even though I don't see what could be so bad about the two of us having sex together.  It's not like one of us is forcing it on the other.  We do it because we enjoy doing it and because we love each other", I answered back as Charlene sighed and then grumbled.

Charlene and I walked over to the meeting area near where the check-in and ticket counters were and noticed someone familiar.  It wasn't Valerie who was meeting us at the spaceport, it was Eva.  She immediately recognized us and ran over, taking us both in her arms.  "Chad...Charlene!  It's good to see you two again!", Eva gleefully announced before kissing both of us on the cheek, making me blush a little when I felt my little sister kiss me in public.

Charlene nuzzled Eva gently before I did the same, showing some affection for our younger sister before I got to business.  "Hey Eva...where's Valerie?  I thought she would be here to meet us when we arrived", I asked curiously, not noticing a pregnant female ninetales around.  I did see a female vulpix, but she was not pregnant and was with who I assumed was her ninetales husband from the way they walked hand-in-hand from the meeting area.

"Valerie is back in Yokai City, taking care of some business with The Sakura House.  She asked me to come pick you up and bring you home", Eva explained.  Her comment made some sense to me.  After all, Valerie was the owner of The Sakura House now that her father was gone.  Nevertheless, I wanted to see Valerie and I was eager to get to Yokai City, so I can be with her again.

"Eva, do you think that we could get on the road to Yokai City now?  I miss Valerie and I'm sure Charlene does as well", I asked calmly as Eva murred and embraced the two of us some more.

"Of course we can...that's what Val asked me to do!", Eva exclaimed cheerfully before the three of us made our way out of the spaceport and into the "Green" Parking Garage, where Eva had left the car.  The spaceport had three parking garages in total (Red, Blue, and Green).  Along the way to the parking garage, Eva had something else she wanted to mention.  "By the way, do you think that I could have a chance to spend some alone time with my big brother and sister while you're here?", Eva suggested.

We both knew what Eva meant by this and I was the first one to answer her.  "I think that can be arranged...but not until I've had a chance to see Valerie again, OK?", I explained calmly before kissing my little sister on her nose.  Charlene went even further with Eva, kissing her on the lips.

"I'll spend time with you while Chad is busy with Valerie", Charlene assured Eva as our little sister murred softly to the idea of having relations with both of us again.  However, it would have to wait until we were in Yokai City, so the three of us got into the car, with Charlene and I getting into the back seat together and Eva getting into the driver's seat.  Soon afterward, we were on UIC Highway 5 on the way North from McComb towards Yokai City.  It was about a 3-hour drive down the highway, before we reached what was known as "Takai Yama Road".  We could've continued down UIC Highway 5, which would take us around the Takai Yama mountains and into the heart of Yokai City, but since the Sakura House was located on Takai Yama Road, Eva exited the highway and continued down the lesser traveled road.

As we got closer to Yokai City, Charlene and I started to notice the scenery around us.  We started to enter a forest made up entirely of Sakura Blossom Trees and crossed a bridge over the Yuki River along the way.  Then, we got to the mountains, making our way through the Takai Yama Pass, which was about 4,000 feet above sea level.  The mountains did not have any snow on them yet, it wasn't cold enough for snow to begin falling, but it wouldn't be too much longer before it started.
